Amado's Pita - Greek restaurant in Regina, Canada
I work nearby and for lunch I would recommend you try their lamb in a pita. Everytime delicious, the staff are friendly. Foods consistent, and so am I as a customer.
The best Restaurant in town🤠 the food is always fresh and absolutely delicious!!I would like to Thank all staff for the excellent customer service and for sure we will come back again and again😃
Decided to try this place as I was in the area, the wait time was long as the guy behind the counter wasn’t doing people in order of who came in first, so me and others in line for food waited while people continuously came in and shopped in the retail area, took 10 minutes to even order anything. wasn’t a huge fan of the food and I’m a shawarma lover. I got a platter and The potatoes were sitting out for who knows how long.. cold and stale. The man behind the counter looked around for something to put the potatoes in and found a random used styrofoam bowl off the top of the microwave and then heated up the potatoes in the microwave. It definitely felt like the type of place I would get food poisoning from. I won’t eat from there again.
I ordered pitas for delivery. The flavours were good but the ordering system was a touch confusing for me so I think I could’ve probably received an order closer to what I expected if I knew how to navigate it better. I will definitely order from here again, it’s good!
The only place where you can get fresh pita bread in Regina.
Amazing pita with lamb and very friendly service.
First time eating at Amados just wowwww great food 😋.
Amazing Donair and Baklava best in the prairies!
My husband and I love shawarma so we picked this place since it was close to where we needed to go in Regina. I had the chicken pita, he had the meat platter. My food was underwhelming... It was not bad, but it was forgettable. The spicy chicken had absolutely no flavour and the garlic mayo was very bland. I ordered manakish as well (they are frozen, 4 in a bagto take home. These were much more flavourful than our meals, so I would recommend these.
Delicious and friendly. Check out their groceries as well!
by far the best pita place ive ever been. will be continuing to come back whenever i want pitas
Great pita. Also a small market selling Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. Worth a visit if you are in the area
Food quality was really poor, and the meals we ordered were not fresh at all.
Lovely place for halal foods
Ordered the mix platter with a side of falafel . The platter was decent the meat and chicken didnt taste or feel like they were fresh .The falafel i would not recommend to anyone .
Excellent pita shells. Very fresh.I like all the other products in the store. Hadnt shopped there for a few years. Bought some pita shells a Safeway they where so thick and old. Couldnt eat them. Amados Pita was featured on TV. Like that you could order take out. Great variety of meat to choose from. 👌
Used to love this place. The staff were so friendly. Went in for supper tonight and halfway through making the wrap the woman making my wrap took her mask off, preceded to wipe her nose then go back to making the wrap without washing her hands. I’m not a clean freak but what the heck. So unfortunate to see this places standards have gone down hill.
Really good wraps. Very fresh and flavorful ingredients. Decently priced. Would highly recommend.
Okay price but chicken was not what I expected. Beef and lamb were quite delicious. If they start to offer chicken shawarma meat from the spit I may revise my review.
This place is so good. If you dont feel like a pita get a platter. There are many fresh delicious veggies and sauces that can make the flavors just pop. Go check them out if you havent before or havent in a while
Loved the medium lamb with veggies, taziki and sweet chili sauce. I will be back again! Pick up some pita shells and make some home made pizza in the oven or microwave. The kids love them!
Food was plentiful & very good. Walking in it smells fantastic with onsight bakery. Lucky to have them open for ordering with pandemic issues but very friendly & wanting u to enjoy the experience. Spoke with owner who gave free samples of the lamb with spiced sauces. Will definitely go back again.
Amados Pita introduced me to Donairs, and ive been in love ever since! 100/10 please go here! Large portions, delicious options, and friendly staff makes this place an absolute treat for anyone involved. Thank you so much for your amazing food! Will definitely be making the long drive just for your food sometime soon!
Highly recommend! Best pita I’ve had in the city, the falafel is amazing, taste fresh & homemade, delicious plant based options & wonderful staff thank you!!
First time there...really nice huge falafel pita with hummus, tzatziki, purple turnips, banana peppers and tabooluh...about $15...a little pricy...shared it with husband. Everything was fresh and so tasty...definitely returning.
Omg. Can we call this the best pita in sk?Anyways I am calling it my favourite. Please make more tabouli! Iti s always all gone by the time we get there
Portions are always over satisfying. Service is top notch. In a hurry and need a tasty treat for the road? Stop in and snag a wrap, you wont be disappointed! Highly recommend!
I just went here today and I am absolutely in love!!! This has to be my new favourite place for pitas! The staff made it exactly how I wanted and were so friendly! Five star hands down ! Can’t wait to come back!
I regularly come to Amado’s with my girlfriend because we live nearby and love donairs. Incredible pitas that don’t get soggy and one of the few places in this city that can properly make a donair. The size of the donairs are MASSIVE and I am not exaggerating! Great choices for toppings, cheeses and sauces. About $15-$16 for a large with cheese so a tad pricey but it’s definitely worth it for the amount you get and you really feel like you’re helping a family run shop. One of the only issues I have is sometimes the freshness and cleanliness of the food preparation area could be slightly better, hopefully this improves soon because that’s pretty much all the shop needs to improve on!
Great pitas. Very fresh. They bake them there
I was recommended by a friend to go and tey Amados Pita and I was not disappointed! Wide variety of sauces and whatever else you want to put inside of it. Bought a bag of fresh pitas that are made right there! I recommend the Amados chicken pita. The smell of it was making my mouth water as I was going home. Also, for added enticement, get the potato wedges as a side to go along with your pita. Be coming back many times to try their selection
Tried their filafil and humus, the taste is just okay. A lot of vegetarians options available as well. Staff are very courteous and friendly though. No harm in trying if you are in the industrial zone.
I went had a pita and all they put on it was a tablespoon of feta cheese so because it was thinly spread I asked for another. Without disclosing the extra charge, they just charged me. Even though the food was okay Im never going back. Ill just go to prairie donair
Always loved this place, they really move the line when making your food and have a quality wrap everytime. Also very fair price and great fur a quick lunch. If your feeling a little hungrier, the platters here are excellent and a nice changeup from the normal daily grind food options! If your careful it might even be considered healthy!
Great pitas. Love the lamb! Friendly staff. Not a take your girlfriend out for a meal facility, but great food and a large assortment of eastern groceries sold here as well. Ive never been disappointed here. Enjoy!
This place is a diamond in the rough. Surrounded by the industrial district Amados Pita is hidden on a side street. Its almost for the better it is hidden because it makes the secret of Amados that much better. I have taken tons of my friends there for the first time and it blows their minds everytime. They truely have amazing food, and the owner is usually around to banter with. When I worked at Kenroc I would go there for lunch everyday, and since then they have expanded their restaurant to include a store that sells middle eastern style foods. It is 100% worth a try, I can not recommend more.
I work near by and every time we have stopped by the service has been fast and you get a great sized pita. So good! Always have fresh baking and desserts to choose from as well.
Classic and best pita joint in the city. Go at lunch and youll be standing with half the cities trade workers as well as white collar workers in the area. Awesome ingredients and super friendly service. Lamb is so good!
Want a fresh Made pita? Heres the place to go. Made right infront of you to your tastes. Lamb, beef, chicken or veggie to choose from. Large variety of fixings to add, yummy sauces also. But wait theres more, you can get yourself a wide selection of items not normally found at a local grocery store! Drinks, snacks and other foods from exotic places to be found! You wont be disappointed. Also dont forget to try their potato wedges for a nice spicy treat!! Bon appetite
absolutly fantastic. The meat is always cooked to perfection the seasoning on the lamb is to die for and the curry sauce is delectible. Not to mention it also has a smal internation grocrie section inside. I have yet to taste any of there deserts but from just eyeballing them i can say they look amazing... i highly reccomend you stop by some time if you work in the area... you WILL NOT find a better pita anywhere in the city
This is not Greek it is Lebanese. It makes the best shwarmas in Regina if not western Canada. Dont be fooled by the industrial park setting - it is worth the trip out there to have an excellent lunch. They make their pita bread in-house and it is worth a visit for the pita bread alone. And try the bright pink pickled turnip in your pita - love them!
Bought 2 mediums without cheese (8.60$ eachand 2 cans (3.00$for me and a friend. They charged me for 2 larges (13$ eachwith cheese (2$and even a gratuity so instead of our meal being the usual 20.20 the woman on till claimed it was 39.60. Even if they were larges with cheese and i was tipping that wouldve been 34$ tops. The craziest part about all of this Ive been a great customer for years, I loved this place and its people even when it was a "zam zams" it was run by the same crew. Fresh ingredients, hearty food, fair prices (or so I thoughtIve never been so offended, trying to tack on a dollar or two out of "confusion" is one thing, but this was straight up attempting to steal from me.
Best Shawarma in town. Staff is friendly and generous ! I go there every Friday with friends for a take out lunch. They also have tons of arabian products and make their own pitas. They are so fresh and perfect for your recipes at home.
This is a good store to go grab some newly baked bread and a bite or two. They also have some Middle Eastern spices and snacks. The store is clean, with some seats available for dine in if you decide to eat there. The only downside is that this wasnt the most convenient place to go. The address was a little bit off if you dont drive, but if you do, it wont take long to reach the store.
Best pita in the city, absolutely love this place. Eating area is a bit small, but the staff is friendly and helpful. Theyve expanded from strictly a restaurant to include some grocery items, mostly geared toward the ethnic crowd, assorted imports that may be difficult to get locally. Ive never purchased anything from the store so I cant comment on the prices, but they seem to have a good selection.
Most authentic shawarma in Regina!Great place to do some shopping for some hard to find items and to explore new ones. The fresh pita is awesome. White or whole wheat. The pita pit and extreme pita use their pita for a reason ;)Highly recommend!!
A fantastic find! I look forward to having time to explore the grocery section. Amazing selection of deserts, I never knew there were so many versions of baklava. The pitas are fantastic.
They gave me day old meat. Nothing cooking. Beef was extra salty. Chicken was bone dry. Humus was decent. The rice not seasoned. Not sure why people like this place. I think it is mostly because they have no actual competition in the neighbourhood.
Very tasty food. Whether you get a PITA or a platter it is a pretty good value, decent size portions. Removed one star for microwaving the falafel.
Love this place. The middle eastern platters are especially awesome. Its a tie between Amados or the Tawook chicken platter. Owners are super nice people too.
