Indoor/outdoor tropical lagoon–themed waterpark at a resort with an eatery & ice cream parlor.
Alton Towers Waterpark in Leek
Description
Privilege
Went today with my 2 year old. We spent 5 hours at the water park and she didn’t want to even go home! Staff are friendly, water is warm especially this time of year. So many fun rides for family, one of the best water parks we have been to. The changing rooms were very clean. I was very happy with my day
MoreKids loved it, was busy as expected due to Half-Term & we were fortunate to make use of some fast passes. Glad to get to ride the Nemesis before it is dismantled! Would not recommend having lunch before going on Funk n Fly or Spinjam! We will be back next year!
MoreAbsolutely outstanding experience!Far better than I expected, everything was brilliant. The facilities were immaculately clean. The staff were friendly and genuine. The attraction its self was unlike anything Ive ever even thought of, let alone experienced.A wonderful place to loose yourself (with or without kidsfor the day!
MoreGreat for kids.I took my 17 month old boy and he had a great time. The toddler area is plenty big enough during busy periods with plenty of interactive elements for little ones to engage with. They also have a toddler friendly slide which my boy loved.Life jackets are available ranging from XS to around XXL. These are available on a first come first serve basis and are there to help yourself. There is a large water play area for bigger kids which includes climbing frames, interactive water works etc along with a HUGE tipping bucket which fills & topples over every 10-or so minutes.Theres a variety of slides for a mixture of ages from kids to adults. Some of these require a rubber ring which you have to queue for. The queue can reach up to +1hr during busy periods so be aware. You also have an outdoor heated seating area with jets and bubbles which is nicer for the adults to sit.A variety of food & drink, hot & cold is available in the water park. It can be quite expensive for a resort meal though but the quality of food is better than expected. There is a shop just outside the water park where you can purchase swimming essentials incase youve forgotten anything, along with toys, food, drinks, merch etc.You do need 20p for your locker which is refundable after your visit. If you dont have a 20p coin youre able to pay 20p on card and they will give you one from the cash register.Free hairdryers are also available to use in the changing rooms & car parking is free when visiting the water park.
MoreThis is a brilliant water park with really different design ideas compared with other water parks. There is a rapid river, jacuzzi, main pool, master blaster ride, 2 flume rides. Theres also and out door are which has some small flumes that take you down to an outdoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi. You can access the outdoor pool and jacuzzi without going down the slides.
MoreHad a lovely day here, took 3 familys and 4 kids. They loved it though, had lots of fun on the slides and bubble pool.I felt this is more Quality over quantity compared to water world, all of this was good and clean and didnt have any stainsReally good day out and worth the money.
MoreReally good, not getting 5 stars cause on the bucket game to win a teddy, i won first go and they told me someone had to go cause I won. So was my kid that had to go but he wasnt up for it he just wanted a teddy. Great idea having the Dryers as the water rides you will get wet. Think they could maybe mix some look local food venders in with the park.
MoreDated, very warm, steamy, sweaty soup made of naked people who all pee in it 😹😹😹 Queues for the rides were 50 min long, never again for me.. Icecream were lovely tho.We visited Alton Waterpark on 2 Sept 2022, Blackpool is better and bigger.
MoreWe had a great time. Its good for younger and older children. The food facilities are more than adequate.
MoreAs a family with 5yr old & 8yr old we all love this place. We come to splash landings at least once a year & are never disappointed.Queueing for the flumes at busy times can be slightly frustrating so we make us of the other things to do in the pool like flash floods as the queue for these is less as you dont need to wait for a rubber ring & wait till later in the day when it tends to become quieter to go on the other flumes.
MoreBloomin brilliant for our little one. Will be even better when older. My partner and I loved the watercoaster too, that was fab! Will be going again. Only downfall is the miserable staff. Food isnt great either. Recommend taking your own. All the splashing and water guns/buckets are a nice touch. Lazy river small but we just kept looping round as our little one loved it. Floats/vests available. Small area for smaller swimmers, very good.
MoreAMAZING! We had so much fun with my 1,5 year old! Clean changing rooms, nice and polite staff, good slides and kid’s facilities! We didn’t eat anything in AT but good that you can have your own food :We definitely come back soon, maybe for a water park and more attractions!
Morewas a great day , plenty to keep the little one occupied for a few hours , good value for money at 20 quid each , no waiting around like the theme park just hours of fun . she was over the moon Id take her there over and over again 👌
MoreFun water park with lots to do for the kids. Various pools for different ages, queues were a little long but as expected during the end of the summer holidays. There was a vomit incident in the baby pool but the staff were very quick to deal with it efficiently. Food was OK and all the staff were friendly throughout.
MoreThe Alton Towers water park itself is great, however it can easily be over crowded. I took my son during the summer holidays. There was a struggle to find an empty locker to use and the wait for the master blaster slide once inside was 45 minutes upwards. A great venue, however I feel the numbers within need to be better controlled.
MoreExpensive for what you get. Lots of people everywhere. Barely has rides, there is only really 3 tubes and all where pretty basic. The queuing was ridiculous ie waited 40 mins to get a tube for just the one ride. You need a tube for each individual ride you go on. Not worth it If it was free! also you need to pay an additional £6 for parking.Might be okay for children under 7 but useless for anyone else
MoreWas very busy on a bank holiday Monday. Had to queue for food, was no where to sit whilst eating. Still my niece enjoyed her day there.
MoreHad a great stay at the hotel! Only one thing let it down! The temperature in the room was uncomfortable. With only a wall fan to offer any relief. It feels like temperature was similar to that of the pool area. I have given 5 stars because we enjoyed our stay. But would choose a different hotel because of this issue.
MoreKids and adults loved it. Only reason for loosing 2 stars was a staff member was really rude. He suggested with the queue being an hour long that one of us could take the kids to the pool while one of us stayed in the queue. Then when the queue splits for single to double riders he wouldnt give my friend continue in the queue unless we were all in the queue. She tried to remind him that it was his idea but he said she shouted and refused to speak to her putting his hand up in her face. She did continue in the queue as I luckily passing and had 2 restless kids for a further 45 minutes. The rest of the staff we came across were polite and helpful. Restaurant is lovely I got a burger and Id give that a 5 star alone. Plenty of family, double and single changing rooms and lockers. Toilet and shower area was constantly being cleaned. Shame for that one staff member to spoil what would have otherwise been a perfect day.
MoreWe came for the day mid week during the 6 weeks holiday. Highly recommend buying tickets in advance, the car park was very busy so make sure you arrive in plenty enough time. Charging rooms and toilets were clean. Make sure you bring 20p for the lockers and you can hire towels for £2.50 if you need to. Once in the waterpark there were many slides and pools for all ages. There was a 45 minute queue for the main slide, I personally think they need more inflatable rings. Food and drinks wasn’t badly price either. We would definitely come again as it was a great day out for the whole family, our little one didn’t want to leave.
MoreA brilliant last minute trip to save the Summer holidays. 🙂. This is a place kids would love. We spent 5 hours in the waterpark with our 2 little ones. Wasnt too crowded as the entry was staggered. The outside slides dont have a queue and the little ones kept going on them over and over again. Also great place to burn them out without the walking and queueing like the rides in the theme park. Food is slightly limited and expensive but the staff were great throughout and very mindful about allergies etc. They took their time to help. I think the best part of the place were the happy smiling staff. The restaurant downstairs in the hotel does a buffet dinner which was ok. But perfect to simply stuff your face after all the exercise. Will go back again hope it stays the same.
MoreGood place in summer with hot weather. We all had a great time and the staffs was friendly and joyful. The slush machine was not working that day and the food choices were limited.
MoreThe water park is absolute fun!! We have a 8yo and a 11yo we all enjoyed the park with the many things to do. The queues for the big slides inside are quiet early, after are ridiculous busy you might wait for a min. of 50 min, just because its a 1 person attraction at the time takes longer as they have to get in, slide and drop then next. The outside slides are less busy.Is many things you can entertain yourself such as shooting waterguns and getting people wet with so many objects they have there.Downside was the only 3 showers for the whole park. if you are not staying at the hotel and you are back home that day, prepare for the nightmare, the showers are too hot and no much pressure so you better off just rinsing the chlorine off. Many changing facilities and toilets but NO SHOWERS.Food is a bit pricey but big portions.STAFF, lots of younger staff , they dont really care much tbh. Will be much better if staff was better trained. If you are a Karen type of person dont come you will only argue with staff all the time.
MoreIt was one of the best waterparks, I have ever visited. The biggest advantage of going over here is that, it is fully covered, so rain cant disturb you !Also, the staff was really polite and friendly. The master blaster ride brings all the fun to visit the waterpark again and again. All in all, a complete package of entertainment.
MoreHad a lovely time with the 3 kids, could have done with more showers and the changing rooms were slightly chaotic and werent just wet, but puddles which wet your shoes on the way out. Still what do you expect from a water park. The queue time for the big ride, Master Blaster was a good 45 mins as school holidays so be prepared! Felt safe and staff seemed attentive. Came out looking like a prune after being in for 4 hours!
MoreGood day out for an hour but not longer as no thrill seeking slides/rides for older kids, changing rooms stank of poo and wee and the food quality and where is it served is not good at all and moody lifeguards. All in all don’t be bothered if you can’t get tickets/booked in… it’s a blessing in disguise
MoreAMAZING place!!! Just wish the queues werent so long for the big slides but we spent just over 4 hours here...WELL worth going here after our visit to Alton Towers the day before and well worth the money. They could do with more tables and chairs!
MorePretty good water park. Almost identical to the ones at UK Center Parcs, if you’ve visited them. Queue for the main ride was really long all day but all of the others were not too bad. Lots of things for all ages.
MoreIf you havent been it is brilliant. Just like holiday, they had the team doing dances to songs. It really is made for children, I would say from 2 to 10, any older they take over the place. For the price we paid £50 max for 3 of us could stay all day, its 100% worth it.Actually thinking about the hotel, and maybe the theme park and waterpark for night as its open late.We didnt have food,
MoreHad a great family day out here. Staff where great extremely clean pool and facilitys given the amount of traffic In and out with it also having the outdoor section as well. Long wait for the main rides but I think u expect this regardless of where you are. Fantastic buffet in the hotel restaurant very well priced for what you get food was fab and staff also very helpful fantastic day out for a fair price would highly recommend.
MoreExtremely bad arrangement on the car park! There is only 1 way to the main road but it had been jammed for over an hour for no reason! Before the water park there are 3 other car parks which on the same route! It is frustrating arrangement! Management of the park should review and revisit this!
MoreThe waterpark is a good place to go if your spending a couple of days in the hotels. However, there were long queues for the two slides, up to about 70 minutes when we visited. The timing system also means you can only enter exactly at the time, which means more queueing. However, if you get a good time on a good day, the Waterpark is a great activity.Visited during August 2021
MoreNot enough slides, only 4, and two of those are basically the same. The place looks cool, but only worth staying 2-3 hours at most. Restaurant is a huge let down, poor quality meals for high prices, bring your own food and drinks. Sad looking burgers, and the £6 fancy ice creams are a joke. Would not return. WaterWorld nearby is far superior, for roughly the same price.
MoreFantastic place to go with kids. Dropped a start due to 20 minute wait for 2 meals at the fastfood place, and some of the showers suddenly went freezing. £19 per adult and free under 3.
MoreThe water park has some great features. We loved both the indoor slides. The master blaster is particularly good. The queues weren’t too long. We liked that they provided rings for the lazy river. The wacky waters area was great even as adults. Our favourite area was the outdoor flash floods and pool. The food was pricey but the quality was great and portions were large. I would recommend getting an ice cream too.
MoreTook my 8 year old. Both of us had a fantastic time. Such a variety of rides and water activities. The largest flume, wow, exhilarating. Went on twice as you had to wait a while but the others were only minutes. Great place, made it more magical as you had to walk through the hotel to get to the changing rooms. Hotel looks really good. So glad we both experienced this waterpark.
MoreHad an Amazing day inside and out side weather was Amazing I actually felt I was abroad there is tables inside and out side lots of drinks and food beers cocktails you name it I spent about 5 hours in there all I can say is 10/10
MoreBrilliant day out for all of the family. We went as a family of six and it was such good value. Food and drinks dont cost the earth, and there wasnt a shortage of things to do. Hoping to visit again soon. An amazing waterpark!
MoreGreat waterpark for kids with lots to do including slides and climbing area. Only disappointment with this visit was the cafe inside had literally nothing due to some refrigerator issue and our times were not great as it seemed their slot policy was a little all over the place. However, overall a pleasant day out.
MoreWe went yesterday was AMAZING!!!Food wasnt to expensive which was good. Kids can use one of their life jackets which I think is such a good ideaWe spent the whole day there from start to finish we will definitely come back.
MoreVery busy, very little water to swim in and there are few places where you can sit in the water without being sprayed or hit by a bucket of water. Kids loved it but would have liked more small slides. Too many big slides in such a small space, with long queues.
MoreVery good place for family.Lots of fun and attractions.Lockers and changing room area a bit busy but clean. Inside the music bit loud.Food quality very good but bit expensive. Drinks very expensive.
MoreAbsolutely amazing waterpark! Plenty of slides and pools to go in and unlimited time slots. Totally worth going for the day.
MoreFantastic! The kids loved it and was happy to stay in all day. Not too busy, even though it was Easter weekend. The facilities are clean and the staff are happy and helpful.Just a couple of things that bugged me.1. You need a 20p coin for the lockers. Like many, I dont carry cash anymore and I didnt realise we needed a coin until we was all in our swimwear! It would be better if the lockers were digital much like our local trampoline park.2. Also it would be great if they offered a payment wristband you top up before you go into the pool (much like the Sandcastle watermark does). Be prepared to take a trip back to the lockers if you want any ice-creams, drinks etc whilst inside.
MoreGood fun, spent 4 hours riding the slides. Bit of a wait for the main rides but no longer than 20 minutes. Outside slides are short but no queues and if the sun is out, nice and warm.Definitely book tickets in advance. Food can be purchased but at a high price.
MoreGreat day out, family of 2 adults and 2 kids £62 for 6 hours in the sub tropical paradise.Great value staff really helpful and children didnt want to leave. Would recommend going when most schools are off like we did. Food we purchased was great as well
MoreTruly excellent fun for all. Brilliant and attentive lifeguards in abundance. Food and drink available without leaving the water park cash or card (including alcohol). Bring your own towels but hire available. Lockers 20p deposit each. Plenty of seating.
MoreAbsolutely Amazing! We are coming here since kids where tiny and from then until now they are 11-8-6 years old. Great slides and you have a real sunny holiday feeling even I February when outside is cold and rain! Can’t recommend enough!
MoreMy family and I had a lovely day at Splash Landings. To say the volume of traffic there was it kept moving smoothly. We didnt have any problems parking which is free at Splash Landings. We got straight into a lift too. There is single changing rooms and family changing rooms which are all mixed genre. They were clean with a plastic chair in the single and bench in the family changing rooms.Although we couldnt get a table and chairs we were able to get a bench. We were able to take the babys pram too. There is a variety of slides, some of the bigger ones do have height restrictions. It is a very busy place with some of the slides having a 45 minute que. There are lots of activities for younger children with a small toddler pool with slides and sprays separate from the main water area. There isnt really a swimming area, it is pure play. The water temperature was good, not too cold. There is a Costa coffee there, but it doesnt sell food, only ice cream.and drinks. The family had brilliant time. Our family children age range was 3 month to 15 years. All had a great time.
MoreFantastic, lifeguards , helpful and we managed. But the music was way way to loud. You couldnt hear people talk. It was deafening, waited an hour to go on the master blaster just to get a ring then wait again to go on the slide. And you only got two hours. So spent most of the time queuing up.
