Alte Rheinbrücke - Bridge in Appenzell, Switzerland
Very nice bridge between Lichtenstein and Switzerland over the river Rhein.
Nice place to visit.
The wooden bridge. Separates 2 country’sSwitzerland and LichtensteinMade in cooperation with wood working students.A place to cross and make a few picturesOnly walking or bicycle
Worth the short walk out of the city centre to see this beautiful bridge and cross the border into Switzerland
Not to be missed when in Vaduz, Lichtenstein.
Lovely little spot we saw upon driving into Liechtenstein. A casual walk took us to Switzerland and gave us some fantastic photo opportunities.
Wooden bridge. Definitely worth visiting on your way
Would give it a 5 but no parking near it so you just drive by to a parking lot a half a mile away.
Nice landmark, worth visiting
Soooo cool to stand and walk between Swiss and Liechtenstein. And the scene gave me a rustic old feeling. What I miss even throughout the day...was light. It was dark in there. The bikers and walkers had to use the same space and without lights from some bikers....you get a surprise.
Inside the bridge there’s a sign showing the boarder. Nothing really at the either end of the bridge.
This place can across between Sevelen , Swiss and Vaduz , Litchenstien
Beautiful, old bridge ;)
Really interesting bridge, provided welcome shelter from the heatwave sun and has a nice breeze too. Nice to look down on the Rhine from.
Worth going to see. Walk to the middle to stand in two countries.
My favourite place in Liechtenstein
Cool experience.
Nice view
Nice walk to cross Rhin river
Beautiful wooden bridge with a clear border between Lichtenstein and Switzerland
It’s such an unique experience to cross the border of Liechtenstein and Switzerland via a bridge.
Here you can put a feet in Swiss while the other is still in Lichtenstein
Great place to feel freedom :)
Fantastic place, all the structure is wood made, I recommend going inside to see the separation and taking pictures with both countries.
It was stormy day but was beautiful
Somewhere historic to briefly shelter from the rain while you’re visiting Vaduz!
Very enjoyable place about 15 minutes far from downtown Vaduz…
Its fun to put your feet into two different countries. Finding a parking place is tricky.
Beautiful wooden bridge.. you can be half in switzerland and half in Liechtenstein! You can only cross It by foot or by bike.. thats a pity for the house manure
Old bridge. Neat. Not sure where to park, Google maps tried to get me to go down a walking path that is physically blocked for traffic. At that point you are on the Autobahn on-ramp and there is no turning back. Submitted a map change request, hopefully the next person doesnt have the same problem.
Very cool sight to be able to cross a border in literally a step! Cool stop if you’re on the highway since it’s just 10 minutes walk from the center of Vaduz (Liechtenstein)
Really nice experience. Its is the bridge connects Liechtenstein and Switzerland. Walk through the bridge and you can stay with one leg on Liechtenstein and other in Switzerland :-)
There was an art exhibit when we visited. I like the bridge. When you enter, you are in Vaduz. When you exit, you are in Switzerland!
It’s a really nice place to be in; if you’re passing by or just want to check something out in Liechtenstein, this is the best place for that. I personally enjoyed so much to see the surroundings of the lake and this place seems to be the right option for feeling in an special place… ^-^
The bridge is really good but its lonely.. not many Tourists come here... There is no car parking nearby...
Renewed about a decade a go, worth a visit if you’re in Vaduz anyway. Parking is not really available, so you can just park at a store on the Liechtenstein side.
Cross border bridge to Lichtenstein. Well worth a visit. All made from wood, this pedestrian and bike only bridge connects 2 countries and good tourist site to visit. You can take a pic in the middle where they have signs for both cities and countries.
A very interesting structure to visit and also try out. Take a walk over to Switzerland / Lichtenstein and think how easy it is to cross this border compared to many other. Nice views from here too both of the river Rhine and the alps. In all you get three attractions in one spot, the bridge, the views and an experience of a river border crossing on foot.
If you walk from the Town Hall it will take you about 20 minutes to reach this bridge which connects Switzerland and Liechtenstein. This is a perfect place for walking, the landscape is amazing (mountains, Rhine River). There used to be a sign right at the middle showing the exact point of the border but it is no longer there.
This place is very wonderful view. The bridge is made from wood. It is very nice to stop to take a photo.
Perfect place to start visiting Liechtenstein. But there is not symbol between countries since a few days. Maybe someone take it like souvenir. :(
Great walk over the Rhin, changing countries on each side. Nice pics. Lots of trails and bike routes here.
If you want travel from Switzerland to Liechtenstein or vice versa through interesting constractions on the river Rhein, this is the place.
Passing here in our Europe cycling trip from Paris to Sofia. Amazing bridge and it feels really good crossing it! Must see!
We visited the bridge so as to say we had been to Liechtenstein on our way through. We parked in the carpark on the Liechtenstein side of the bridge and walked along the cycle path to the bridge maybe 500m. The bridge has some information on about its construction and upkeep. Worth a visit.
Parked on Wuhrstrasse at the parking lot of a store that was closed on saturday and a couple of minutes easy walk to the brudge. Fantastic photo opportunity. Look out for cyclists zooming past.
This is a beautiful wooden bridge over the river Rhine that separates Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Not many places in the world where you can walk such a lovely historic structure across counties and get such great photos doing it:)Tip - if you’re driving out it, then be mindful there is no parking next to the bridge and you have to park a bit further down the road and walk up to the bridge. Better to use Liechtenstein side as the swiss side has a side road leading into the highway, so no hope of parking there:)Please consider tapping the like button below if this review was helpful. Unique bridge spanning the body of water separating Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Well worth the diversion if you are in Vaduz.
A foot bridge to cross the Rhine river but also to switch countries. River Rhine is like a natural border between the two countries and this wooden bridge is beautiful way to cross that border
The bridge is closed to cars - open only to pedestrians and cyclists - so it is a pleasant walk across the river between Switzerland and Liechtenstein
