Muy cuidadas en detalles y confort. Con servicio de limpieza y atención al huésped impecables.El restorán está abierto de jueves a sábado, almuerzo, merienda y cena. Los domingos almuerzo y merienda.El resto de los días está cerrado.Tienen una carta variada contando platos de todo el mundo. Cómo Artigas, fiesta de tomates, cintas negras con calamar o Messe (clásico turco). Todos muy ricos. Pero entre sus estrellas doradas están el Artigas. La brusqueta de mollejas y hongos. Y el fish and chips.Manejan productos solo uruguayos. Además de muchos productos orgánicos.Tienen una carta de vinos muy completa y de productores uruguayos.Luego la ambientación es muy cálida y llena de arte moderno mesclado con estilo y elegancia.Tienen diferentes salones para diferentes números de comensales.Además de contar con un patio hermoso y muy armonioso. Donde se puede disfrutar de un brunch en primavera o verano.Muy recomendado para pasar una experiencia encantadora y muy relajante.

Our 2 night stay at the Alquimista Montevideo was simply incredible!Mark and his wife were hands on from the moment we arrived. They were friendly, welcoming and wonderful hosts!The building itself was beautiful! The room was spacious, bright and comfortable. The room/bathroom was very clean and new but still had charm.The outdoor area was equally as beautiful as the inside. It was too windy to use the pool while we were there but the garden/pool area looked perfect for a sunny day.We did not get to try the restaurant for any full mean which we know is very popular. We did try a dulce de leche cheesecake for dessert which was delicious!We were super happy with our stay and would stay there again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place in Montevideo.

Lovely, quaint place with excelent quality and seasonal food. The staff are very nice. Extremely unique menu, with eclectic cuisine influences, all well done, they have a great hand at managing spices which is not always the case in Uruguay, they vary their menu seasonally but standout plates always remain such as Artigas Pie. Would highly recommend their curries. They have an outdoor patio ideal for spring and summer days

I love Alquimista!

This is a boutique hotel in a beautiful old home in Carrasco. They serve lunch, tea and Friday and Saturday nights, dinner. We were there in the evening and would recommend it for a couples night out. Ambiance, food and background music all perfect.

We had a lovely time! Carolina and Mark are very kindness. The restaurant and breakfast are amazing and you see charm and beauty every where you look at. We hope to come back soon!

You cannot go wrong with either a dos or tres pasos dinner. The Chef’s combinations results in a pleasant attack to your taste buds. Best service and friendly staff. The large residential setting and modern decor compliments the dinning experience resulting in a memorable evening! Highly recommended.

It is new and it is good! This is a small very well done boutique hotel and restaurant: smart and casual. The menu is limited but interesting and extremely well put together and prepared. The dining space shows the owners interest in design and art and this follows through to the food and its presentation and,thank goodness, taste.Its menu is a small step away from the standard Uruguayan meat main menu and is perfect for lunch especially. There is a beautiful outdoor garden in summer as well.Prices are moderate in line with the quality and ingredients. Deserts are interesting as is the drinks and wine list.The owners obviously wanted to bring something different to Montevideo and they have: it feels like a small in in France or the UK. Well worth a nice drive along the Rambla to Carrasco!

Had a lovely tea at the Alquimista with a friend. The pastries were delicious and the coffee was good. We ate in the garden which was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended.

A beautifully comfortable boutique hotel! Very personal service, delicious meals and a lovely setting just two minutes walk from the sandy beach. Situated in an upmarket suburb of Montevideo - the only downside is the rush hour traffic delays getting into town.

Awesome hotel! Rooms are cozy and interior design of each room and common areas is just perfect. Carolina and all the staff are super friendly. You can also visit their restaurant for lunch in the garden.

My partner and I had a lovely stay and enjoyed the warm hospitality of the hosts enormously. Because we stayed for the week, on one of the evenings an early dinner was arranged for us so we can try their menu. It was such a delightful evening, on entering the room to see the candlelight dinner with a view of the garden at sunset.
