Alpine Motor Inn in Katoomba

Rooms were clean and tidy. Very short drive to Katoomba. Even though the freeway was right near us, it was not very noticeable noise wise. A large group consisting of numerous Indian families arrived on our last night and was quite boisterous in the afternoon.

Google Maps pointed to a wrong turn, although its easier to just cross at the intersection as there are multiple entrances. We booked for 3, and there was only 1 cup available. Thankfully reverse air conditioner and water heater worked, and the place is clean. There is a cute black cat as well in the carpark. The reception close from approx 10am-3pm. There is a restaurant in-house, apparently, given the need to drive to the town centre (10minsand generally no Uber delivery around Blue Mountain.

Rooms were comfortable but the laundry didnt work.

Nice cosy accomodation...In some rooms there is noise from the highway nearby if you are very sensitive. Otherwise very clean and comfortable. The staff was exceedingly helpful throughout the stay.

Very clean room, comfy bed and pillows, a gorgeous cat laying g about in the car park. Staff were friendly.

Looks tired from the outside but inside the rooms have been updated and are good quality and extremely clean.

Booked at the Alpine for a nostalgic stay on a road trip. Room and linen were clean, as advertised, service polite and efficient. Sure, not high end, but great for the price and location.

Not bad for budget accommodation, clean and neat. It’s a bit noisy being on the main road plus you can hear people watching tv through the wall.

Pretty damn cold. Aircon didn’t work very well at all. Blanket was pretty thin.Minimal noise though and facilities are otherwise ok.

For a 3-star motel, this was fabulous value! I just stayed 4 nights mid winter. Loved the outlook to grass and trees, and as the huge windows were double glazed, it was quiet and cosy. I didnt need the air-conditioning on once! The room was spacious and well-equipped. A really comfortable bed with crispy fresh white linen and a shower with excellent pressure. Table and chairs, couch and desk - all great, as were TV reception and Internet. The owner was always helpful with any question I had. Just a few minutes drive to Katoomba and Leura make the Alpine Motor Inn excellent value for money.

Stayed in the King room over the weekend, super cute and quaint, lovely views, and warm beds. Despite being on the highway there were zero disturbances. Housekeeping staff were kind and incredibly accomodating. Check in was smooth, check out was even smoother, super close to katoomba. Use your stay vouchers here!

For a highway motel this place is tops! Friendly welcome, clean and comfortable rooms and fantastic location to get to all the sights.

Good place to just stay the night the people working there are verge lovely and it is all that I expect from an inn it’s in a good position as well not too difficult to find or get to if you want somewhere to stay just for the night after a long drive I definitely recommend plus there’s a very friendly cat that comes around

I will give 5 stars for the price. Room and bed is very spacious. Sheets look very new and clean. Despite on the side of busy road, you dont hear any noises in the room. I dont like when bath towels are not white, and of cause the deco is a bit old, but for the price, that is expected. Overall, its comfortable stay. Recommended.

Overnight stay room was clean but the motel looks a little rundown ok for an overnight stay and close to Leura and katoomba for cafes and restaurants

This place needs a full Reno. The rooms are old and need a lot of work. Mouldy bathroom and things falling apart. Outside is also falling apart. Location is a fair way to walk to Main Street and restaurants etc. Good points - lovely cleaner and the resident cat is friendly. Recommend finding somewhere else

We booked two rooms close to a family event. Clean ,well maintained and easy access. No breakfast or food service (at time of our staybut the local eateries 3 minutes up.the highway are fabulous

Love room 8. BUT mould on the curtains and wall near the windows. Could affect someone with low immunity.

Rooms are old. tv was situated so low i was uncomfortable watching it.Contanental breakfast is way too expensive for what you get and its unappetising.Room was very clean. Staff are friendly.Noisey traffic as its right on the highway. But it quietens down after or around midnight.Parking on site.

Good walk into town. Clean and has all you need for a stay over. An offer of breakfast would be good

Very good value. A basic motel in a reasonably convenient location (15-20 minutes walk or 7 minutes drive to Katoomba shops). The bed was comfortable, the room was a good size and, although dated, is well maintained. I was very impressed with the level of cleaning.

Have tried contacting regarding cancellation or postponing accommodation due to covid lockdown. Have turned off phone lines and refuse to communicate.I Understand having no refund policies to stop time wasters, but when it is legally against the law to travel within NSW state. They have effectively held our money ransom.DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS UNETHICAL BUSINESS

One of the closest motels near Katoomba on Great Western Highway. The pricing is fair, and they offer free cancellation as well. The rooms were decently priced, although they lacked facilities like a microwave and heated blankets.

Had a nice stay here. We had a room with two queen beds and ensuite. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was really clean too. Definitely would stay here again if visiting the Blue Mountains and Katoomba overnight.

Served its purpose as a room, very clean, breakfast was kind of average. Great water pressure in shower. It is across the road from a servo so that came in handy. 8/10

It was a very comfortable room with clean towels, sheets and amenities. The room was also cleaned out on our second day. Very good for the price.

Rating: Met expectations. Room was neat and clean. All the shops/restaurants are in 7-10 minutes "driving" radius. King bed room is advertised as mountain view, but dont expect much of a view, specially if room is located at ground level. Staff is friendly.

Stayed in the family room for one night, clean, well priced. Main room and bedroom had tv and aircon. Easy check in and out. Highly recommend, will stay again!

Nice and clean rooms. No food or resturant though. But many delivery options available in the area. Stayed there for 1 night expecting snow. But didnt happen.. The picture Ive added is from the reception. To show the snowfall that has happened in 2015..

Convenient location.You are right next to The Blue Mountains Hospital and a BP service station.It is only a 10-15 minute walk to Katoomba train station and town centre; here you can easily locate a shuttle/bus to major attractions like The Three Sisters, Jenolan Caves, or Wentworth Falls. Leura is also lovely to visit and only a stop away by train or 30 minute walk away.Amenities provided are well maintained, my room was spacious and gorgeous surroundings could be seen from the window. Though you are just off the Great Western Highway, I could barely hear the din.The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful; checking in and out was effortless.Ample car spots are available if you are require it.I highly recommend this beautiful place,Definitely would go back!

We decided on a last minute family weekend away and we booked a family room at the Alpine Motor Inn, the rooms are unbelievably clean! Who ever cleans their rooms does an incredible job. (Next level clean!Please come clean my house...Good value for money and would happily stay again!

A convenient accommodation location which is right near everything you want to see in the area. While the rooms are nearby to the highway – and the highway has truck traffic all night – the traffic noise is not noticeable. While the room was fresh, warm and comfortable – good air-conditioning with quick heating.

What a great place ,it is one of the cleanest places I have stayed. The staff are extremely helpful and the free wifi is good enough for 3 kids to watch Netflix on at the same time. The only thing they did not have in the room was cutlery which you can ask for at the front desk. Overall great price, clean ,good customer service and great wifi highlights recommend this place.

I spent three nighta here. The room was better than I expected, although it is a bit dated. Cleanliness was fine. Although near to a busy highway it was pleasantly quite, only woken early one morning by overzealous parrots calling.

This unpretentious motel on the main highway was surprisingly quiet with not much road noise intruding into the room. Quality of the room and amenities was in line with the price paid which was in the low end of the scale. Bonus points for not requiring a credit card deposit upon check-in and having a coin operated laundry room on the property. It is a 700 metre walk to Katoomba railway station so is more suited to those with a car. A good value option compared to other properties in Katoomba.

Good Price. But its a old hotel and beds are not comfy. They provide free milk so that you can make coffee. Generally microwave is not available but if you request they will provide it for free. The view from the hotel is not great and thats the reason for cheaper price compared to other hotels. Lots of parking space and also secured plaxe to stay with family.

Air con/heater not working, so we froze at night. Hard to go to sleep due to noise from highway and train line. We went to have 1 drink at The onsite “bar and grill”, but were told we would have to order a full meal if we wanted to have 1 drink. My boyfriend cut his head on the shower frame because it was so low. I wouldn’t stay here again especially considering the high price we paid.

Phone doesnt even work, none of the hot-dials work, even pressing emergency button hangs up on you. Attempting to call their reception (provided on the phone itselfresulted in calling other guests that just checked in. Dont visit their restaurant either, ludicrous prices; much better options in the area. Had to tell reception of this issue but was very unimpressed of their ignorance. Would not recommend.

Bed was extremely hard. The room was outdated but nice. A bit of traffic noise, being so close to main road.Perfect location for hospital visits. No hot warer in the shower first thing in the morning, had to wait half an hour. Lovely crisp sheets and carpet was clean. Bit over average price of other places in the area.

Very kind staff, quiet + clean rooms. Enjoyed my stay. Staff went out of his way to ensure we had somewhere to temporarily store our bags after checkout - something we werent able to do at other places in Leurs/Katoomba! Much appreciated

The hotel room decor is a bit dated otherwise, the rooms are adequate and neat. There is a tv, fridge, toaster, kettle and basic bathroom amenities. Plenty of parking. Located on Great western Highway therefore easily accessible by car to many of the touristy spots. Close to great restaurants on Katoomba street.

If you are looking for somewhere quite to sleep, then this is not the place for you. Non-existant sound proofing will leave you to the audible mercy of both the traffic from the highway and the immediate neighbours on either side of your room. Their television, music, conversation, snoring (if youre as unlucky as I wasand most disturbingly their bathroom movements will be a constant companion during your stay. Granted the room was nice and the facilities adequate but other than the physical privacy the walls afford, you may as well save money and stay in a hostel dorm.

Good price, good location. Room was spacious with a bed, loveseat and breakfast table. Bed was clean and comfortable. Water pressure a bit weak in the shower. Room had a water heater for tea and a mini-fridge.

Awesome accommodation. Very clean and comfortable - love the big bed. Warm and only minutes into Katoomba or there is a restaurant next door. No plates though for cereal and cups were quite small. But still very nice.

The rooms are certainly dated but comfortable, warm and very, very clean. Be aware you will probably need to drive into Katoomba itself. However, the motel provides numbers for taxis and the fare is only $10-$12 each way. Leura, with its excellent restaurants, is very close - again probably a $12 taxi ride. Staying here is a good way to save money you can spend on eating out and shopping in the district. Dont miss the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre in Katoomba. Its a great space.

I liked the hotel. The views were nice. Lots of pretty gardens. The room was really clean. The air con worked beautifully. I liked how they put a 20% discount voucher for you so you can take it to the restaurant. One complaint though was that we got a king bed and I didnt find it very comfortable. It felt quite lumpy. I think the bed was quite old. Not really happy with that as we spent extra for a king. But that was my only complaint really. Everything else was fine.

Everythings fine except the bath room space really too constraint. Ave size person dont even hv much space.The owner is a Japanese, very kind and friendly. Overall still consider as pleasant stay.

The rooms were equipped enough for you to spend the night. The toilets were a tad bit small but overall, its a good stay as it is near the Katoomba Town Center.
