Alounemay Asian Market & Lao Kitchen - Laotian restaurant in Greensboro, United States
Amazing food.
Prime authentic Laotian food. Been looking for a place like this for a while, and I finally found it! Some of the best larb Ive ever had. The grocery store is also packed with interesting goods for all your Asian cooking needs!
rubbish food with exorbitant price i ordered spring rolls with grilled spring rolls but what kind of food do they give me,if you dont want to be hospitalized I advise you to stay away from this restaurant they all use expired food
Papaya salad, sugar cane juice, and Laos mango dipping sauce. That is all I have to say and thank the heavens they make it so well
I can’t express how much I love this place. I always forget to take pictures as I am too excited to eat. The Bánh mì’s are always great but my favorite is Khao piak (Lao chicken noodle soupI would eat here everyday if I could. The Larb is a must try and definitely walk around the market and grab some snacks/drinks to take home!
The food is excellent! I got the khao piak.
So I was super excited to come here being that Im half Laotian. I drove 2hrs to experience some what I thought to be bomb Lao food. What a disappointment 😞 the food was nasty! Very poorly made and the ingredients tasted old. We ordered larb chicken that only had organs and was super salty, curry chicken with only 3 Pieces of chicken and a nasty watery broth with like 2 potatoes, I dont even think that there was coconut milk inside. Fried chicken that tasted like it was a week old and refried. Sticky rice that tasted old, Papaya salad with pretty much no flavor other than fish sauce. We ordered soup, egg rolls, And a noodle dish that she had a subsitude because they didnt have the ingredients. This all came up to $100 not even joking. The sad part is is that I took my husbands family here for them to try Lao food for the 1st time. Should have saved my money and cooked it myself.
Tried Lao Kitchen for the first time. Ordered vegetarian Pho Soup. Enjoyed and will return.
Small.market that has some great items, that you cant get other places. The restaurant in the back of the store has some great food, and they make it spicy. A favorite spot of mine to get food when Im needing something authentic to remind me of my childhood.
Friendly
Decent
A small Asian store, but it has quite some different produce than other Asian stores/markets near by. And the restaurant next door is amazing. Their bahn mi sandwiches are the best in town.
I love their homemade beef jerky I love the spices they used
Great place to shop
My favorite Asian market!! Plenty of varieties
Great food and the best Thai Tea I’ve ever had. A unique place
Small , new restaurant in the rear of Alouneymay. Mee at Lao Kitchen makes excellent Laotian food. Alounemay has a wide variety of se Asian foods.
Fast and delicious food, great bubble tea too!
My new place for iced coffee!
The only Lao store I go to
The food was good and authentic. The pork larb was good; fresh herbs with assorted spicy pork bits, onions, long beans and more... It was a nice accent when eaten with a bite of sticky rice. I recommend you ask for it spicy. The fresh spring roll was truly fresh and made to order. The dipping sauce was sweet, brown and good. The spring rolls (2 per orderwere mistakenly left out of the bag but this was quickly remedied before leaving. The papaya salad with long bean and peanuts was also good. Many people might not like the fish sauce/shrimp paste flavors. The pork rinds that came with it were crispy and awesome. The long bean and peanut add in portions were acceptable but more would have been better. The market is small but has many sauces and seasonings along with some fresh veggies and herbs in addition to a frozen section and some ready made items. Im glad I found this gem and will return.
Definitely come back again..👍
Tasty sandwich, fantastic coffee. Good selection of sauces and spices.
Fast service...only issue is everything is served on styrofoam
Nice place. I had a banh mi and a ca phe sua da, that remind me of my time living in Sai gon
Papaya salad and Pad Thai were delicious
Been going here since I was a kid. Still love it.
Pleasant folks.....tasty food.......great sugar cane drinks.....
Ordered shrimp dish. Picture showed large shrimp in it. Instead it had really puky small and smelly fish—I couldn’t eat it! Lady tried to give me the wrong change back to boot! Good grief—not worth it!
Very good. Get the Fried Plantains, 2 for 1$
Good food.....portion size could be larger, but it was fresh and tasty. Will be back!
亞洲小超市,旁邊還有個餐廳可以用餐!外地人採買食材的好地方,裡面的東西應有盡有,蔬菜、丸子、乾貨、泡麵等等等。
My newest favorite restaurant in Greensboro. An epicurean delight!
Love all their foods
Authentic Loation cuisine
Great the spot to grab a bite of food and relax. Also attached to oriental grocery store
I visited the Lao Kitchen. Delicious. Not cozy or atmospheric. Food to eat in or take out. Most customers are Asian and know where to find good Asian food. Spring rolls are fantastic. Everything Ive tried is good. Reasonable prices.
Ordered a red curry chicken dish requested shrimp added. They forgot the shrimp! Curry tasted like just a water dish. Had 5 piece of chicken breast in the dish. The quality of the meat taste old. This place is a joke haha. I dont recommend this place at all lol. AVOID AT ALL COST!
This place is clean, and the staff is very friendly! I love their Papaya Salad with Fried Chicken Wings.
Best coconut bubble tea ever!
Its authentic Laos food. I love it.
good food!!! especially papaya salad and grilled Chicken / sticky rice!!!!
Is good atleast is for some people
Though there are alot of great boba drinks, spring rolls, rice, chicken, pork and shrimp dishes the portion sizes are not up to par. Ordered a shrimp stir fry with sticky rice which they charged me $10.00 it was well below my expectations of what I was expecting. Only had five shrimp and peppers in the stir fry..go across street to Thai Kitchen for real stir fry! Will only stick to sticky rice thats all nothing else.
NEVER COME HERE!!!! One day I saw this place and was curious because it was a new business. So I went and looked around to see what was it about. Then I saw a rat running across the market and I was disgusted because the rat was big and super nasty eww. Later their was a minor loitering around the compound. When I order some food the food was poorly cooked and the staff looked unhygienic and disgusting. I didnt check the sanitation score but by the looks of it the score it was low. Lastly the parking lot was not clean it was dirty and had trash all over and the pavement had holes all over it to the point I almost popped my tire.
Love it
Great banh mi and bubble tea. Love the low prices.
