One of the best shooting spot in mysore and this place is famous for shooting. Here Rajakumara and the villain and so many movie shoot was done in this place but they wil govt makes this palace as tourists place then only it wil be improved .

Superb place,been there recently after many years. Best place to go with FRIENDS and best place for photoshoots. You can go and explore the unused building which looks like a horror house from outside.

Lived here during 2003-04 when the building was allotted to Navodaya Vidhyalaya.Its one of the most beautiful places Ive seen in my life.Totally in the lap of nature.Dealt with a variety of snakes, as the building had been closed prior to this allotment.It was an honor to have spent some days in this amazing palace.

Aloka Palace along Hunsur Road Hinkal is the royal palace of the kings of Mysore. The Wadiyars used the Aloka Palace as a hunting Palace, they used to stay in the Aloka Palace during their hunting episodes. Aloka Palace is well maintained today, but, those its a historical monument its locked up under lock n key. You might be lucky if you can get inside the Aloka Palace. The government spent nearly 10 lakh Indian Rupees to develop n maintain a forest park at Aloka Palace, but, even the newly developed park is also locked up!

Aloka palace was our Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts (CAVAcollege existed during 1990s. Unforgettable moments were spent here.

Its an heritage building ones it was belongs to royal family of Mysore,In my school days some old people s said that this place was guest house used by royal family, especially for hunting.For few days it was kava, navodhaya& now under forest department of Karnataka,As on date it not open for all(may 2019)For children s there is different things to play

Now it is under forest department. No improvements. Simply we can see outside. It should be renovated as its a historical place.

An old guest house...being under the incharge of Karnataka forest department...most commonly used for movie shooting...and also a children park is there...it is in the outskirts of MYSURU..

Cool place for AECians if they wanna bunk... We did it two years ago... Bring your lunch.. Youll need water too... Also make sure your plan is foolproof... Its a big problem if you get caught!

Aloka palace is one of the good shooting place in mysore but so many people not aware of this place, this is a best place to kill the time especially for kids ,just 15 kilometers away from Mysore city, please do visit , this is an original old palace and you will get forest in and around of this palace and kids playing also there, and there is big football ground ,I love this place ....

Great place to escape the city buzz. Very close to Mysore city. Its an idea to take your young and parents, as it has to offer historical tale for the old n activity area, trucking n cycling paths to the young. But there are no place for refreshments, it would be ideal to carry some.
