Almare Tourist Motel in Ballina

Great motel, friendly service, close to eateries. Room very clean, very comfortable bed. Downside bathroom a bit small for the vanity but very well appointed & clean. Otherwise I wouldve given it 5 stars.

Good pet friendly option with friendly service

Eron, ( the manager/ owner was a very friendly and accommodating host. Haven’t seen many nice people like him. He has excellent customer service and friendly managerial skills. The rooms were very clean and spacious. There were big parking slots on the site. It has a lovely front yard with a few tables and a BBQ grill. Very beautiful place to sit and relax after a long drive. We stayed with our little dog and he was also happy as there weren’t any smells around for him to go sniffling. This place is highly recommended.

The owners are the most kindest warm people I have come across in a long time . Took us in during the floods with our 2 dogs. Made sure we had food . Done our washing and made sure we had everything we needed . The rooms are spotless and very nicely designed. I would highly recommend this motel and rate it 5 stars. Ill be forever grateful for the amazing hospitality and the kindness given by the owners. Ill never forget it. Made a horrible experience so much more easier. Was in room 12, my partner and I have woken up with bed bugs. Owner blamed our dogs, even though I called when I booked to let them know we had a dog. Don’t advertise as dog friendly if you then blame bed bugs on the dogs. We didn’t realise bed bugs were included. Won’t give us a refund and was very rude to my partner when he called to let them know about the bed bugs. Hopefully they sort it out do others aren’t covered in bites like us

Woke up with bed bug bites, very disappointed. The hotel manager denies any wrong doing and said that my dog was the one that gave me the bites? Hope he cleans the room and cleans his disgusting attitude.

The room is beautifully styled, clean and comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again! Little details like fresh milk and cookies for breakfast and bottled water. Great value for money.

We stayed here en route to Qld after a very long drive and needed somewhere to stay that accepted pets. I can highly recommend this motel as it is excellent value and the staff go above and beyond to help you. We were having difficulty printing border passes to enter Qld and they printed them for us free of charge. We also left an item of clothing behind and they immediately posted it back to us. The rooms and location are ideal and they do a great breakfast. Highly recommended!

Customer service was great, what a lovely couple running this motel, so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were great size, and well kept great. Also in a great location to access Ballina main shops and close to the highway.Big plus is they are pet friendly!!

Fantastic motel. We paid more the previous night elsewhere and wasnt as good. Very happy to find a pet friendly motel. Very clean, beds comfortable and owners very helpful and even helped with printing out border passes for us.Would recommend this place.

Fantastic little room, was very pleasantly surprised about how comfortable it all was at the cheapest price Ive seen in many many years. Id stop here again for sure and would highly recommend to anyone going thru Ballina to stop of here.P.S. So sorry bout the mess my dog made

Amazing host, super helpful and friendly from the first phone call. Very accommodating with my trailer and puppy. Really clean, quiet and tidy rooms with plenty of space. Ofcourse also awesome value for money. I’ll be back..

We stayed overnight here on our way home to Queensland. It served its purpose quite well. It was a fairly typical motel room, but it was clean and had some basic kitchen essentials. The location was convenient if a little difficult to access at times. The free youtube was a welcome bonus as well as the fast reliable wifi.

We needed a quick stopover with 2 mini schnauzers. This place was perfect. From the first phone call, with super clear communication about the accommodation and room type, to the ample amount of crockery if you wish to use them. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. We ❤️ It! Thanks!!

Travelling as a business traveler and lone female. Late arrival. Great communication with the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Loved the fact there’s a key lockbox for every individual room. Can park outside of your room. Incredibly clean and modern rooms albeit small/tight fit. Will certainly stay again.

I stay here all the time and often. The only place Ill stay in Ballina with my dog. Great hotel and the hosts are amazing people. Totally pet friendly! HAVE stayed somewhere else up here and wasnt as pet friendly as you might think . Its a must stay!

I stayed here with my children for 1 night back in February. The room was tidy, beds were comfortable and the price was very reasonable. We were warmly welcomed by the gentleman at the front desk, who mentioned a great, family friendly, hike and waterfalls nearby to visit.I would definitely recommend staying here anytime youre passing through Ballina.

Owners r very friendly, consciences,loves animals, rooms are very clean and looked after, we have been staying here for three weeks and totally enjoying our stay , owners r very approachable and loves their property because it is very well looked after and clean and looks after there guests. No worries. Recommend 5 stars plus .Oh and live chooks for fresh brekky eggs..You go Erin and Nick and There beautiful son and Grandma

Highly recommend this motel. Fantastic place to stay. Very affordable price. Very clean , very accomodating with parking for trailer. Office lady was lovely and showed us around. Will definitely stay again.

My wife & 3yr old son stayed for 2 nights and were more than happy with the stay. The motel is located at the top of a main road and is a small walk to various shops. The room itself is a standard sized room with everything you would need. They are clean & tidy with surprisingly comfy beds. The service was great and the breakfast was delivered on time to your room and was filling & delicious. Overall, this motel is great value for money and would recommend it to anyone.

Great Motel!! Fully equipped with everything you might need -microwave, kettle, fridge, cups, plates and washing supplies etc. Very impressed plus accommodated a later arrival with no hassle! Highly recommend.

I booked during peak season so I had to book a different room for the 4 days I stayed there. So, after that experience, I have a pretty good idea of what the rooms are like 😋 There was one renovated room, which I think was one of the cheaper nights I stayed. That particular room was quite nice but the other rooms are quite dated. If the whole motel was updated to that standard, it’d be 5 stars. However, the price is fair, they accommodated my cats and the owners were very friendly. I would stay again.

Owner is a great man and very helping person. I had my trailer fully loaded and he helped me to find a safe place to park in front of CCTV camera. I did not have a booking on arrival after 8:30 pm in the evening. He gave me the last available room. Very nice room with aircon and ceiling fan. TV, small fridge, dinning table, shower and toilet. Extremely satisfied with my stay there. I would stay there again. He deserve 5 star rating.

Fantastic! We recently stayed here with our Staffy as part of a road trip. The location is perfect. Rooms are a great size, clean & comfortable. Check in/out was easy as the management are so welcoming and friendly. 100% dog friendly with a fantastic dog beach close by. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

This place has been amazing! The owners are so friendly and considerate! Also when they say theyre pet friendly they mean it! They have accomadated me, my 2 macaws as well as my 4 cockatiels with not an issue. In fact I believe theyve gone out of their way to insure that me and my pets are comfortable, they have even made sure its ok for them to do maintenance on their own hotel so that they dont upset my pets. Really cant recommend these guys enough. So inviting and really make sure your every need is taken care of! 5/5 stars is not enough!!

My husband kids and I had 2 nights here and it is absolutely amazing we will definitely be back!Amazing service so kind, beautiful fresh hot breakfast served right in time,Beautiful clean rooms which they clean whilst your out.Overall couldnt say a bad word about it!!

Bathroom was a bit small but otherwise nice rooms. Some noise from the main road but not too bad.No cutlery was available. Reception was closed when we realised

If I could give more stars I would. Owner was so welcoming and helpful as soon as my husband walked into the office. Customer service was absolutely outstanding, room was beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. Let us park our new car we had bought earlier that day in the car port after coming out and admiring it. Top block, top place. Highly highly recommend. Thanks again!!

Beautiful central Location quick trip to town centre yet a short stroll to the river and parks.Very serene and peaceful.Beautiful rooms tastefully decorated including comfy beds and in some rooms a separate room with table and chairs, fridge too.Loving the air conditioning and overhead fan.Reasonably priced.Lovely, welcoming Staff who are quite flexible.Highly recommended.

Beautiful delightful and welcoming room and so were the owners. The prices are competitive, not only are they pet friendly but theyre pet welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It is the nicest motel Ive probably stayed in in 8 years so I extended my stay to rest up in this lively room.You couldnt do any better theres just no two ways about it

Erin (ownermade checking in so quick and easy. Fresh milk on arrival and the room - very recently completely renovated. The bed was so comfortable- best ever. Nothing I would change. The size is comfy, but for the fantastic price I give it 12/10.Will stay on my next trip for sure. 🥇

For the price and location we found this place to be excellent value. Although some things a little dated, it is a big room, very clean and very comfortable. Grant was very helpful with our late check in. We would stay here again for sure.

The Motel is close to the shops, and in a beautiful town. It has its own parking, and is clean and quiet. Staff are very friendly, and the rooms are clean and functional. Its not a fancy place by any means, but it is quite a comfortable place to stay for a day or a few.

I am here at the moment and have had the best sleep in a long time. Really nice people and room was basic, but very clean and comfortable. Has all the amenities for a night or two.

Really friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable stay although maintenance could be improved for example:- more towels issued- sheets changed more frequent- vacuum more often- more toilet paper and bin changes- a more thorough clean in generalputting aside these issues i still really enjoyed my stay.
