Great dorm rooms with individual beds. Very peaceful surroundings and one of the most comfortable and relaxing common areas Ive found in a hostel. Kitchen available. Staff very helpful. Not your average hostel, this place is a bit different.

Difficile de se garer (rue super étroite). Auberge où on mange bio : pas de jus de fruit le matin par exemple. Le mobilier est original souvent à base de récup. Concernant les sanitaires on a vu bien mieux, même pour une auberge de jeunesse.Point très positif : lauberge est à côté de toutes les visites à faire à Sintra (Régaleira, Pena, château des maures... Et même du centre historique).

Se sei un figlio dei fiori è il non plus ultra. Se sei abituato ai 4/5 stelle gira al largo. A me ha dato fastidio Sintra che è come Riccione ad agosto,troppa confusione. Non si gira e non si parcheggia

Da evitare.Tanto per cominciare, trovare il posto è una impresa abbastanza ardua.Una volta trovato scordatevi un posto auto, parcheggi in strada ed anche in divieto di sosta. Lalternativa? non cè!Il posto dovrebbe ispirarsi allecosostenibilità, in realtà ho trovato la camera puzzolente (e non pocosporca e scomoda. Per non parlare della separazione tra le camere probabilmente realizzata in carta velina. Il tutto ad un prezzo molto elevato per gli standard portoghesi....e devi anche lavarti i piatti della colazione!

Lovely place to stay. Especially good for meditation as surrounded by a beautiful, relaxing garden.

Really beautiful place, cozy and cute! I would recommend, nice location in Sintra too! Great breakfast, nice owners! Only thing, the showers could get a little bit of love, especially like showers walls and curtains can be dirty... But keep up the good work its awesome there with this beautiful living room!

Amazing atmosphere with beautiful sightseeing. Having breakfast hearing the birds sing and looking at the landscape is such a relaxing way of waking up 😁👍

They lock the doors at midnight, so if you don’t mind a curfew it’s a great place to stay, but pretty frustrating if you’re trying to do stuff at night. We got back at 12:20 getting back from Lisbon and almost had to find another place to stay because we were locked out.Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, just don’t lock your guests out after 12:00.

Wir haben uns bei euch sehr willkommen und zuhause gefühlt. Schon nach wenigen Minuten bei euch war uns klar, dass wir die restliche Woche bei euch verbringen wollten und buchten direkt nochmal 5 Nächte dazu.Das ganze Hostel ist einfach sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, auch das Frühstück war großartig, so, wie alles eigentlich.Und dieser Garten..Wenn ich so in Erinnerungen schwelge, habe ich gerade n bisschen das Gefühl von Heimweh. Beautiful place, beautiful surroundings. I like both social and peaceful hostels, and came here for the peaceful aspect. I was pleasantly surprised to make friends immediately and during breakfast, so I got the best of both worlds. A little far from city centre but its a nice walk, totally worth it.

Perfect location to find your soul again. I will never be able to say how much I truly love this hostel. Clean and comfortable bedding, I shared a 3 bed private room with an ensuite with my two best friends. It was amazing. The breakfast in the morning is filling, but they have a refrigerator for your to keep leftovers and food in if you bring some for your stay. A large kitchen space with kettles for tea at your leisure.Eco friendly, so no toilet paper. Using a bidet was wonderful though and very convenient. The hostel over all is very relaxing and they do burn incense in the main sitting room, which was the brand I use at home so I felt very much at ease and relaxed. The property has land that you can get a pass to walk and explore, including a koi pond and nearly an entire space of calla lilies. I spent so many hours just wandering the property. It is amazing. Right behind the hostel is an Irish pub with wonderful food and music! I felt like I was in dublin again.The location is an 8 minute (6 euroUber drive from the Train Station, but could be walked if you had the time. You can walk from Almaa to Quinta da Regaleira very easily.Though I was there less than a week, I have never felt so welcomed and at home while traveling. I will for sure be returning.

לא מקום לכל אחד. בהחלט מקום למי שמתחבר לשלווה, לשקט, לטבע. מקום לא גדול שמגיעים אליו בעיקר מטיילים בודדים ונחמדים מאד. מנהלת המקום נמרצת והתאמצה לעזור. ארוחת הבוקר צנועה ומספיקה. הלחם מעולה.מתחת יש גן די גדול, יפיפה ומטופח.קרוב לקינטה דה רגליירה, אבל לא קרוב לשאר האטרקציות בסביבה. בכל מקרה יש אוטובוס, קו 434, העובר קרוב מאד, וניתן להיעזר גם באובר.לסיכום, פחות מקום של חומר, יותר של נפש.

Almaa hostel is a great place to stay. It is not a hotel, and thus, it is very homely. The hosts are very dedicated to giving you an amazing experience and are very nice in general. The nature, too, is lovely and ripe with great views and old middle age architecture.

Posto magico, a due passi dalla spettacolare Quinta da Regaleira. Ostello ispirato all ecosostenibilità, immerso nella natura, arredato in stile indian. Pulito, ottima colazione con prodotti biologici, bagno molto particolare in marmo rosso. Letti a futon confortevoli nella camera condivisa.Fantastico sentire il bubolare dei rapaci notturni prima di addormentarsi!

We booked a twin room and were delighted. Nice bathroom, unexpectedly confortable beds and very nice common areas. Breakfast was nice you could prepare your own toasts with homemade jam, cereals, tea or coffee... Of course, you must like the concept (ecofriendly and DIYbut if you go to enjoy the nature around and meet some fellow travelers, youll probably love it.

Hiking not allowed. Bad choice

Vale pela localização e pela simpatia dos funcionários. Os quartos são suficientes para 1 ou 2 noites, mas nas casas de banho há questões de privacidade a melhorar com urgência. Pequeno almoço tem que disponibilizar mais opções, apenas pão, café, leite e queijo, é demasiado curto mesmo para um hostel. (Nota: se querem ir ao monumentos no cimo da serra de sintra, apanhem o autocarro 434 da scotturb, se apanharem uber junto à quinta da regaleira, ele vai dar a volta à serra de sintra e pagam uma fortuna).

Ótimo local! Bem alternativo e que busca a sustentabilidade ou um menor impacto ao meio ambiente. Muito aconchegante, e com ótimo atendimento. A Cristina é uma ótima anfitriã!

Da evitare. Abbiamo pagato abbastanza per dormire in una stanza umida... molto umida.. Colazione una presa in giro.. cera solo pane 3 vasetti di marmellata e formaggio quadrato. Poi vi dovete lavare anche i piatti (molti.. passano solo le tazze sotto il rubinetto). In Italia avrebbe già chiuso da tempo anzi non avrebbe mai aperto... fate voi..

Espaço muito calmo e pacífico perfeito para relaxar. O jardim é espetacular, tal como os funcionários. O ambiente é muito bom e convive-se com pessoas de todo o mundo.

신트라 궁전과 헤갈레이라 별장이 가까이 있는 위치라 걸어다니기 매우 편해요! 1층은 좌식 테이블도 많고 좋아요~조식은 어느 유럽 호스텔처럼 그냥저냥 빵과 잼이 나와요! 정원 있으니 산책 좋아하시는 분은 다녀와도 좋을듯 해요! 까맣고 덩치 큰데 너무너무 순하고 먹을거 좋아하는 개가 있어요ㅋㅋㅋㅋ하지만 샤워실이 너무 낡은 느낌이라ㅜㅜ그래도 벌레가 나오거나 그렇진 않아요~

We had a double room with shared bathroom. The hostel is lovely but shower cubicles AND toilets have only curtain or swing door so expect no privacy in the shared bathroom. Also shower cubicles have just painted walls of non-descript colour which doesnt seem sanitary.Otherwise the place is nice with an amazing garden. Included breakfast is basic (bread, butter, jam,fruit, tea, coffeebut good.

O ambiente é acolhedor e potência a convivência e troca de experiências entre cada um dos hóspedes, as pessoas da equipa que passam o dia a verificar se está tudo bem, são calorosas e permitem que nos sintamos em casa.Tem cozinha e as instalações são fantásticas.

Easily one of the best hostels Ive ever stayed at. I havent stayed at many, but this was such a wonderful experience. Its a very open hostel with lots of space to explore, including expensive grounds and a spacious living room. The 8 bed dorm was wonderful - it was quiet, there were no bunk beds, there was a large window with an amazing view, and it was very quiet. The manager, Christina, was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. The kitchen was large and well stocked, allowing us to make many meals. My only complaint was that there was a yoga retreat going on while we were there and we werent allowed to use the kitchen while their food was made, but the chef was really nice and made room for us the next night. This hostel is located a little outside of the historical center of Sintra, about a 10-15 minute walk, which was quite nice. An added bonus is that its an eco hostel, so they encourage many ways of saving energy and resources. I couldnt recommend staying here more!

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Super comfortable room. Friendly, patient, helpful staff. Beautiful gardens, with a pool so deep its scary. Quiet and peaceful. Very child friendly. Great value. Stayed 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer. 10 mins walk to town if you go slowly.

Not at all what we expected from the description on booking. Dirty, moldy and dark.

I just love this place! The energy is very good, the manager and her team ore very friendly people and are always there to help you. Beautiful located nearby the old center of Sintra. I will definitely come back to this place!

I loved the chill vibe ! And I had the best sleep during my travels! I slept in a 3 dorm bedroom. it is a pretty old building. And they try to do everything ecological..it has a very homelike hippie feel to the place. the bathroom is a shared one for both girls and boys. For some people this may seem odd. The doors of bedrooms have locks on the inside but you can only use that if everyone is in the room.... There are very big lockers to put away all your stuff. There are beautiful gardens surrounding the hostal oh and there is a medieval pub next to it. The only let down for me was the breakfast! For a healthy hippie eco-friendly hostal it was a boring breakfast...bread,jam,butter,cheese, oats thats it. Thee and coffee ofcourse. It is a hostal with special preference ..so if you like the smell of scentsticks, sitting on pillows on the floor and love a walk in the garden this is the place to go ...if you want busy clean modern..dont go here...I liked it it made me totally relaxed! But there still is room for improvement!

This was one of the most beautiful places we visited on our trip through Portugal. We were just sorry that we couldnt stay a bit longer.Calm and peaceful atmosphere of the place, surrounded by nature and fresh air. Just a place to relax.Breakfast is included and its very good, healthy and organic.

Kind people, hippies atmosphere,beds and wardrrobes, recycled materials . 15 minutes walking from the center of Sintesi,world heritage venue.full immersion in the nature,well conserved,from the hostel you can also Walk through the trekking - path that climbs into the Mountain behind sintra. From the top of It,in the Wonderland frame or the moors Castel, you Can see a 360° panoramic view of the Hills,cliffs and coast of western Portugal.

I stayed just one night but would have loved to stay more. People from Almaa were very welcoming, rooms are cosy and beds are comfortable, and the whole place is charming.

Its a nice place, 15 minute walk to city center. Just a little expensive but its nice. Clean room. Owner gave better indications (Portuguesethan the American guy.

Its a peaceful and a good hostel. Everyone is nice and the garden is simply beautiful! Will come back one day!

Very comfortable. One of the best sleeps of my month long back packing trip. Stayed in a 3 person room with our own bathroom. Proper beds (not a bunk). The walk is about 20 minutes from the train station but a very scenic stroll through Sintra. Free breakfast is provided that includes cereal, fruit and toast with some delicious coffee. I wish I stayed more nights but only planned for a night in Sintra.

Excellent, faultless. Extremely relaxing, good vibes, well thought out interior design, beautiful gardens.You should not go here if you want to party, dont like dogs and its a problem to be a kilometre from the centre.

I really liked the stay here. It was a calm, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. I loved the decoration and flair of the hostel. The tap water was one of the best I ever had. Well, the area around, Sintra is very magical (so the garden of the hosteland there is a lot of gardens, woods and castles to explore. Further there is a very popular surfing beach close (20min by car). I am planning to come here again...

Ecological hostel. Very peaceful, not for party animals. Many acres of garden including farm animals and friendly dog. Daily (paidevents such as yoga classes and agriculture movies. Muesli and toast for breakfast. Cheesy Medieval tavern next door including pagan shop. 10 minute walk from village centre.
