Aliwagwag Falls Eco Park - Tourist attraction in Cotabato, Philippines
It was my first time in Davao Oriental and I was surprised how beautiful Aliwagwag Falls is. Unfortunately, it was still closed due to the pandemic (and I guess, because of the strong current, too). But still giving it 5 stars because of the view.
Although not the best timing to have seen the clear waters of aliwagwag falls, the journey itself made it unforgettable, was soaked wet but worth it! Ride again for mati π
First time here, weather is good.Beautiful creation π₯
My third time here. It is still good to watch the cascading water. This place is still close, maybe months later, we dont know.I do hope I could swim and enjoy the coldness of the water again like the first time I visited this place.
Wish it reopens to public soon. Will definitely be back when that happens. In the meantime we definitely enjoyed just watching this majestic waterfalls.
This place is very great.
Its good to relax while watching water falls
Cateel is one of the beautiful place for me because a very relaxing and enjoying around, and a truly reliable for a lifestyle base on what Ive experienced together with all my friends. One of the most beautiful place that I came already that is the ALIWAG- WAG FALLS ECO PARK located at Barangay Aliwag-wag. This falls is one of my favorite because aside from very its cold water but also, it is one of the top falls that is very high water falls in the Philippines thats why there are many tourist a different group of people that they came here and make some fun to make what they want for a living.
Great Tourist Attraction!
Great creation of God..gravehhh!
at first i saw this place in social media..and now i didnt expect ..that i came here..and it was so very nice because some bridge only river that flaws but this is a unique place you did not go to far to see a water falls..because it was so very near in the bridge..i want to go back here..as far as i can..ππππ
The place is so good although the resort/center is still close since the pandemic
2nd time here. Its still just as magnificent as I first saw it.
Breath-taking view of a large and wide waterfall. The surging water creates white bubbles that makes it look like creamy milk. The place was temporarily closed when we visited due to covid but you can still enjoy the magnificent view by the bridge. Just make sure you watch out for passing vehicles. The time we went there was during a time when it has been raining for days and it made the waterfall look even bigger and stronger that what i have seen prior. There are vendors here selling souvenirs and snacks. Please try and visit.
I went here on a day tour. I had a fun time walking on a high bridge with harness and swimming at Aliwagwag falls. You can also buy souvenirs at the small shops.
To see it in person is really a dream come true. It might not too easy for me and my friend to visit the place as we were coming from Surigao Del Sur, experiencing it was truly one of a kind. Make sure to bring water as it can be so hot in there with lots of people stopping by to take pics and vids. Surely a dream experience coming alive. π
Amazing place for a quick picture before the end of the trip and your way back towards the city.
Very late review and upload. Pictures were taken back in Jan 2021.The eco park is closed due to the Covid19 pandemic but some food and souvenir stalls are still open for business. We were so glad to take pictures along the bridge with amazing view at the background. A must-stop for those travelling through Compostela-Cateel Road.PS For safety reasons, kindly park your vehicle at designated parking spaces should you wish get off and take pictures, not along the highway and not even along the bridge.
Spectacular view of the falls streaming down to the river. Good food as well in the nearby food stalls.
Magnificent display of water works right beside a national highway. Follow IG: @dodoylaagan
Been there several times and its majestic water still amazes me...β€
Very beautiful falls. But the ecopark is not yet open. Instead, tourists can stay at the bridge to take pictures of the falls.Small cafeterias and souvenir shops are open in the area as well as pay-per-use comfort rooms.Note: Just park your vehicles properly on the designated parking spaces and not along the highway.
Due to the bad weather, we are prohibited to take a dip and enjoy the water. Still, we are able to witness its majestic view and refreshing ambiance. Looking forward to pay another visit here.
The eco park is closed when I got there but the view is so beautiful!!
A falls just beside a bridge that is aliwagwag falls! Located at Cateel Davao Oriental, you can watch and be amazed by this falls, you can enjoy the amenities served for you by the municipal government like monkey bridge.
Travel has helped us to understand the meaning of life and it has helped us become better people.
The place is like 3 hours drive from Davao City. The place seems itself is good but they dont have a good place to wash off after dipping from the falls. They washing place is at the top of the mountain while you need go to down and change your wet clothes in down the mountains which is quiet a hussle. Aside from that, the place seems to well maintained by their local government. For safety reasons, I just that you need to get out of the place before it gets late in the afternoon or maybe around 2pm.
Very nice water. And its flow. Nice place for pictures and chill :)
The longest river in the Philippines and nice to spend your weekend with family and friends.
Aliwagwag Falls, Municipality of Cateel- crossing the Aliwagwag bridge along Compostela-Cateel road. Entrance fee:P100It is one of the most beautiful falls ive seen. If youre a nature lover, you will surely love this place.
Nice waterfalls with 10 different floors.Entrance 100 P. (12.2019)Possible to visit only 2 floors.Best place to take pictures is from the bridge main road.No need to pay 100 P
VNice beautiful scenery... Youll enjoy staying there!!!
I love this place, the nature it self makes you comfort.Entrance cost 100 for adult and 50 for kids
Natures beauty, one of the best cascading waterfall Ive seen so far. Went there early so only few people were around and I enjoyed taking pictures. Entrance fee is very affordable and what I like most was that locals have kept the place as it is. Not over crowded and over commercialized like some other famous waterfalls here in the Philippines
The place is beautiful. The staff are also very friendly and approable. Not to mention, the place is well maintained and cleaned. Even the water is drinkable straight from the falls.
What a sight to behold. Aliwagwag falls is such majestic and awesome. You can see the beauty of the falls just beside the road. You can have a perfect view of the falls in the middle of the bridge. Tourists can take a bath with a minimal fee, I think its not ideal for kids to swim unless supervise by an adult swimmer. A lot of tourists visit the place almost everyday specially this summer where everyone wants to plunge in just to beat the heat. There are many routes you can take to be there. If you are from Davao City, much better to pass by Compostela Valley province, its nearer than passing by Mati, Davao Oriental.
One of the best eco park manage by local government. So far this park has no buildings close to the falls which is very unusual in the Philippines. Well kept and garbage is not visible.
It has a majestic view, so amazing! I will be back Aliwagwag falls. It is best to come there early and go home happy! π
A nice place to visit. You will love the view and the master piece of nature...A pride of Compestela Valley....
I have visited the place two years ago. And here I am, witnessed the beauty of Aliwagwag falls for the second time around. I was still fascinated with the beauty it brings, which is really one of the must-visit destinations in Davao Oriental. Icy cold waters await you to get you refreshed. Cottages are available here for free. I tried the Monkey bridge for the first time and it was really superb! I will definitely go back here.Entrance fee is still 50 pesos per Adult.Monkey Bridge is 50 pesos per personZipline is 200 pesos per person.
Awesome place! Bring floaters though there are lagoons that are deep. Try the monkey bridge (50 pesosfor a close up view of one of the falls on the top.
Relaxing place! This truly gives the best waterfalls experience in Davao Region! The water in this falls is cool, literally. Theres a lot of areas to explore. At the topmost part, you can cross the Monkey Bridge (must pay first at the entrance cashier). We decided to bring our lunch since theres no corkage and we actually had a great dine!If youre taking a bus ride to nearby cities and municipalities, you might catch the beautiful view by this falls. When I was going back to Davao City at 6:00 AM, its so soothing to see this falls while travelling.Note: Photos for Throwback Purposes only. It was taken way back December 2015.
One of the best falls in the Philippines, and is the longest as claimed. Morever, Aliwagwag Falls is most accessible, just a few steps away from the highway. The Monkey Bridge for the price of fifty pesos is exhilirating. One should bring a good camera for a photo shoot.
The most beautiful falls Ive been to. It is just on the road passing by going to Cateel town proper. The falls is multi-layered falls of different heights. There are limited spots where you can swim or bathe. When we went there, it rained the night before and.the current was so strong.Entrance fee is P50 and cottage is P300. The environment inside is like a rain forest. Super worth the visit.
This place is well maintain staff is super accomodating, nice water clean area this place is a must visit you should try thier zipline entrance is 50 thumbs up love love love summer
A long land travel from Davao City to Cateel but Aliwagwag Falls is so worth it. The water looks grand and clear. Nice cottages and eateries available in the area. There is also a monkey bridge which you can enjoy for a cheap price.
Known as the tallest falls of the Philippines, no idea whats the measure but it has lots of tiers and the water is very cold... The good thing is its just along the road not like the other falls that you still have to trek for an hour or so, go through rough trails just to visit the falls..
The waterfalls was amazing. Water is cold. Perfect for a picnic on summer..and they have this monkey bridge which is also very nice and not that scary. Food is not a problem since they have a caffe just across the road. Its a perfect place for a get away and if you wanna have your peace and quite time, you should visit this place.
It can be a bit underwhelming in the pictures- you would think its just a small falls but its actually VERY IMPRESSIVE. Its beautiful and a lot of people still dont know about it. Worth the trip! Come see it ;)
I really loved the place. The series of small waterfalls were amazing. Entrance fee is only 50 pesos per head. They also have a zipline. Lovely place to stop by.
