Alimentari Uffizi - Gourmet Grocery Shop in Florence, Italy
Cute little place with quality meats and cheeses for a bite with wonderful wine. Its a great stop for an afternoon. Four generations with a family farm producing quality items. You pay for the quality... its worth it.
Great experience, familial atmosphere, delicious food perfectly paired with wine
The shop owner is super nice. I only wanted a small snack and he‘s willing to whip up something light for me. One slice of bread, salami and cheese. This palm-size sandwich is 2 Euros and it’s great. Just right for my need at the time. If had more time and could, I‘d bring home some salami or sausages from the shop. They have a few seats to dine in for wine and plates. A cozy little shop.
Small little hole in a wall with several tiny tables fit into this tiny space. Behind the counter two pleasant and smiling Italian men. I wanted to get a panini and a cold beer. When I asked for a glass the man told me only the cheese and cold cut plate orders can stay for inside seating panini orders are to go only...So i took the sandwich and cancelled the beer. Theyre cash only business, no credit cards.I dont blame them. The place is tiny.
Excellent charcuterie place. SimplePlates for 1-4 people. Local wine. LocalFarms. Hidden gem near the pig square leather shopping and the gold merchant bridge. Owners are so charming.
Cute spot and amazing quality
A must do when youre in Florence! Alessandro is so welcoming, passionate and highly knowledgeable about the produce. There is so much history in the store that has been run for generations. Definitely eat here when youre in Florence. Cannot rate it highly enough!
Just the nicest people and the best quality food & wine.
I enjoyed my experience here. The food was unique and very good. I especially liked the giant olives. Be aware that this is not a cheap lunch. Our plate set for two, two small glasses of wine and some water was about 40 euro. While it was a neat experience, I would not come back soon at that price. I understand that the food is artisanal and handmade, which is why I am not dropping my rating. Just be aware because I dont remember seeing a price anywhere in the restaurant.
simply the most exquisite selection of organic cheese and raw olive oil in Florence. Dont miss out!
Excellent place tu grab a snack and a glass of wine, the service by his owner great and friendly
Incredible authentic Florentine experience. Recommend by our tour guide and was amazing. Would highly recommend!!
This was an absolute gem to stumble upon in Florence. Everything was so amazing that we came back multiple times. The owner was so nice and helpful. I think about this place often and will return on my next trip to Italy.
Original, regional - and extremely friendly. Not only does the owner teach the culinary side of sandwitsches in Italian, they are also extremely good. Just sit down and enjoy a glass of vino and italian meat / cheese regional products. Perfect Italy.
If you need to make one stop in Firenze this will be it. Not only the owner offers the local products of his family, but he is so welcoming that you can feel part of the family. I cant choose between all the charcuterie all of them so good... A must
Alessandro and Mario were very welcoming and the food was excellent. The products are fresh as they could be and you just cant go wrong with their recommendations.
Really cool shop/restaurant with typical Toscany product (hams/cheese etccomming from local farm.My personal experience - wandering around with hangover as hell then asking polite shopkeeper for espresso and some typical local food. I received plate full of local products, really nice espresso and perfect service in English.Great experience in the middle of Florence next to Ufizzi gallery. Thanks a lot!
One of the best place Ive been to in Firenze ! I was walking with my friends in a small street and we came upon this little shop didnt plan on eating anything but we definitely didnt regret our stop here. The owner is super nice and his products are so good and fresh. He has the best olives I have ever eaten but also good charcuterie, cheeses and wine.Ill definitely go back there.
It is simply one of most authentic Alimentari in Florence, selling great cured meats and awesome sandwiches.Great food, great hospitality, and the owner is very welcoming.Hidden gem, away from tourists.A must go if you’ll happen to be in Florence.
The owner of this place is such a sweetheart. You can buy such quality processed meat for a very good price here. Some people said it’s too expensive but I bought 250g of hams and half size of salami (at least 20cmfor €25, which is same price as you buy small salami (10cmat the market in Florence.I could tell that he genuinely loves his farm and this business. He was willing to answer millions of questions about the salamis and hams and reconvened me what to buy! Even offered me to slice some of the hams for me when I said “I don’t have a sharp knife at home so not sure if I can slice them”. Will definitely come back, if I ever visit Florence again!!! I’ve shopped in other places as well but this is the best place in Italy. Must visit!!P.S. I just got home and tried them and they were AMAZING!!! My family loved them too.
Unbelievable experience and a must try if you go to Florence, humble and knowledgeable owner will make you very happy with the proud top quality products they carry from their own farm. Had a Salumi board for 2 plus fior di late and an unbelievable 1 year aged pecorino, flavours were so intense! Accompanied with 2 glasses of wine and some artisan bread. Unique experience! Grazie mille and hope we can go back in the future!Roberto and Laura.
CAUTION TOURISTS!Central place, which combines a butcher shop and food service. It does not have a price chart, nor does it accept payment by card. The sausage table for 1 person, 16 €. A theft!
If there was an option for more stars I would give it. Everything in the store is a must try, from cheeses to meats. I will never visit Florence without stopping in here.
When you think of intimate Italy, with the sights, sounds, and smells captured in a movie scene, it might as well have been filmed here. The staff are friendly and kind. The old wooden tables, dim lights, and sticky notes of wondering times shared by others are warm and welcoming. The Tuscan salami and cheeses were the best we had in Italy, and the 3 euro red wine was awesome. We ate here two times and two days. You cannot miss this gem if you travel to Firenze
Simple and delicious . Best truffle mortaddlle, salami and pecorino cheese . Try the sun dried tomatoes and olives as well with vino :Lots of produce are made by the owner son on his farm. Great stop when would u like to get something quick, simple, and tasty. The hospitality and service is too notch! Very quaint !
A most wonderful little place, a magical platter of cheeses and the most amazing olives ... with a glass of wine ! Heaven !!Our reason for coming back to Florence again ❤💚❤
Great Place with history, family traditions, good food and vine and a lot of soul... Like it so much ❤️ sitting on balcony
Great experience with Alessandro. Enjoyed a salume plate with a glass of local vino. The meats were superior and the service matched.Wish we could replicate at home.Enjoy.
Wonderful. Local farm food and cured meats and cheeses. Our favorite meal in Florence, and a top meal in Europe. Simple meal of 5 different types of meats, a few different cheeses, and beautifully fresh bread with local olive oil. Great wine selection and service. We lived this place
Not just a grocery, great place for a lunch or appertivo. Father and son are so friendly and helpful, even with my slightly confused self. Some of the best cured meats weve ever had!
Great place to eat authentic italian sandwiches, salamies and cured ham. The co-owners son raises the pigs which are served at this stand. We asked for two of the finest sandwiches they could make. They served the right cheese with the right cured meat on traditional schiacciata bread. Best sandwich we had in Italy. The owners are great, open and heart-felt. Nice little place that is worth looking up. I highly recommend it.
The best. Generous. Perfect for a couple glasses of wine and a selection of meats and cheeses. Ill always visit when Im in Italy.
Extremely nice place to go for a snack, just for a glass of good wine or to buy some food. The whole salami and oil is made by them self. The staff was really nice, we got a plate of mixed meat and cheese offered and it was amazing!!
Such a lovely place.Alessandro is genuinely kind, had great advice and knows so much about his food.Everything is homemade and most of it from his sons farm nearby..The food is just incredible. You have to go :)
This was a fabulous little restaurant and easily one of the best meals we ate in Europe. We had the charcuterie plate with meats, cheese, bruschetta and bread. Can highly recommend stopping here for anyone who wants the FRESHEST meal in the city.
This little gem is fabulous! The owners are so kind! Food was wonderful with great selections and the bread was delicious! Atmosphere was a little slice of heaven and we thank you so much for your service! Love from the USA!
Its been almost 2 years since Ive been there but this is probably the best deli Ive ever been to. I hope I get the chance to visit again!
What a fantastic surprise when we were looking to eat something passing a lunch time and sundely we stop at this place. We eat with the owners the best meats that I ever eat with nice house wine and a cold Italian beer, You must try when you in Florence.
OMG this place is absolutely amazing Quality of meat just perfect Great stop for a glass of wine before visiting Uffizi Gallery Must visit
So delicious! All the meats were perfection as were the vegetables (ask for the artichoke!€27 for two people could be considered expensive however the location is very central & the meat is all farmed by the family who owns the deli.
Awesome family owned butcher shop!!! Quality meats, cheeses, and bread. Owner was very friendly and courteous. Must visit when in Florence.
Pietro was super awesome. Literally everything I had there was extremely tasty. I had the sampler platter and a couple, ok maybe 3, glasses of Chianti. All the super tasty mortadella, salami, proschuttio, etc was from his family farm. Melt in your mouth good.
Favorite lunch in Florence. Amazing family run deli. Very friendly, delicious meats and cheeses. Shouldnt be missed. Reasonably priced.
Amazing gallery with some of Florence most important painters and sculptors. Home of “birth of Venus”. A most for almost everyone when you are in Florence.
Stumbled upon this sweet, little place by chance on a hot afternoon. After seeing 2 very content ladies who were sitting at the "lovers balcony" we decided to stop for a glass of rose and a bite to eat. Its wonderful!! Had several glasses and enjoyed an exquisite selection of ham, goats cheese, olives and bread slathered in olive oil. You must stop in, its absolutely brilliant!!
My friends and I visited Italy for two weeks. Came upon this small place by accident, and I will always be grateful to the accident part. If u are anywhere near and want to truly enjoy fresh meats and fresh cheeses, then you must make it a point to stop here. They also make their own wine ! Trey bien !!!!
This is my favorite place in Florence. We walked in on a rainy morning when the street was nearly deserted. Alessandro was such a welcome host and gave us the most delicious plate of salumi. Alessandro is the third generation to run the shop and his son raises pigs for some of the salumi. It cant get any more authentic than that.
Perfecto! We had a fantastic little lunch on this quiet central side street. The owner was very friendly. Some of the produce comes from his sons farm in Umbria and tastes amazing..
Its an incredible place to have a small snack while visiting Florence, and even worth a detour just to visit it. This family run shop, already at the 4th generation, offers great locally sourced ingredients. The meats, prosciutto, mortardella and rest of the salami, are produced by his son and are extremely tasty.
This place is AMAZING! Its tucked away in a little street near the river and there were no reviews available online when we came across it. But we were tired from walking around all day and wanted to have a wine and a small snack so we stepped in. The owner is third generation; his father and grandfather managed the eatery before him. His sons have an education in agriculture and run the family farm. They raise their own pigs, grown olives and grapes. The salumi is out of this world. He can put together a platter of several sizes for you. The soppressata and the mortadella are exceptional... Do give them a try. The platters come with cheese and tomato and you can choose a variety of antipasti. The wine is in barrels and you go help yourself to it and let the owner know how many glasses youve had at the end. Please seek out this place and eat there, you will not regret it!
