Alima Café - Restaurant in Dumaguete, Philippines
Run by one of the best chefs in town! Yummy dishes in this place, great coffee and I love the local art work on the walls.
Great food. I recommend getting the Salmon. I just wish it was a tad bit cheaper but other than that, I highly recommend it
Extreme disappointed. Read a lot of good reviews. After friend was in hospital, I ate 3 times there... Each time the food was bland, took like forever, service was lazy and portions tiny. Thanks but no thanks
One of my favorites in Dumaguete. Food is delectable. Love the souvenir stand and wall gallery for local artists.
Ive been to Alima Café on one occasion, when I stopped in with friends. My friends ate, but I had only a mango shake. The shake was ok, but way over priced; almost twice as high as most other places. The decor is pleasant enough and the cafe is certainly clean.
The food is really amazing the prices are expensive. The quinoa burger and fries, the Mediterranean omelette, chickpea salad sandwich and salad, 2 bowls of lentil soup, 2 veggie fruit shakes, and a tea, 1422 pesos, about 28 dollars US, for 2 people. Lots of money, food portions pretty good, service is great. Students come in and do not order anything, they just use the WiFi. We were the only two people eating full meals out of a room full of people.
Best place to chill during busy day.Great food and service.
Aside from the fact that Dumaguete is a clean and quiet place, Alima cafe also offers a relaxing vibe. The meal serving is enough and I live their fruit and veggie smoothie! On the other hand, I wanted to order oatmeal which is under their "All Day breakfast" though it wasnt available on my time of dining.
Alima : "being properly taken cared of, food wise"
Good for Vegans. great coffee. You pay for what you get.
I liked the ambiance, a bit artsy. They also sell locally made processed food products.
Peruvian steak = ❤️
Service starts kinda slow but worth the wait. Menu is small but food is really good. Would highly recommend.
Tasty breakfast, not the best latte but omlette and sandwiches were great.
The best value in fine dining!
5 stars for the stainless steel straws alone!:And 5 more for the vegetarian options :We had a delicious squash+ginger+carrot soup and a big quinoa burger which had a nice crispy soft bun, the only thing missing was a chili mayo :spinach+mango+banana fresh juice was refreshing and staff smiling. Recommended 👌 ikaw ang bayani
Good place🌿 Vegetables!😋
I love the ambience, servers are attentive and food is great 👍!
Nice ambiance, food a bit pricey.
Great coffee. Good food. Parking a problem. Good WiFi. Good staff.
Great food and excellent service.
Small cafe good food decent menu close to Hospital
You should definitely try their other restaurant kri as well
Powerful coffee and air con. Lovely fusion dishes, fast WiFi and friendly staff. Try their sister restaurant Kri too for Korean food :)
The place is so convenient and relaxing..their salmon is a must try..it really tastes 👍👍good...though the steak is not really soft...for beverages,,their shakes are kinda expensive and not so 100% worth tasty..
Fantastic place to eat. Everything is delicious, main dishes, drinks and desserts. I can hardly wait to return and try the rest of the menu.
Cozy place, nice and accommodating staff, nice food.
Great place for coffee and breakfast. Its good and wirth the price
My new favorite cafe in Dumaguete.. Clean place, delish food!! Just one concern, you need to hire a security guard or tell the staff regarding a couple of street children suddenly coming in asking for money. One of your staff saw one but did not do anything about it.
This was a wonderful find. I tested 3 dishes and their home made ice cream. All were well ballenced in taste. Price not. I will be back! Oh ya the food is fresh and healthy.
Although I was the first diner when it opened at 8am, I was served my omelette 30 min after I sat. They chose to serve a group of six first, despite the fact that they arrived at least 5 min after me.
Always great food and service.
It has a kids and breakfast menu which is why I brought my younger sister here. The ambiance is good and the artworks posted on the walls are funny. The amnu offers a good amount of choices and it tasted good, worth the price youre paying for.Edit: Service is very slow.
The chicken adobo I ate was a little bit salty. But my friends palabok was great according to him
Great place to work. Awesome coffee and fast wifi
Its my second time coming here and I still loved it like my first time. They offer yummy breakfast food, appetizers, kids menu and entrees. I would definitely recommend the Asian Salad as it was one of the best-tasting salads I have ever eaten. All the rest of their food was yummy, and they also serve dessert - ice cream! Plus pastries such as butterscotch and cookies. The ambiance was beautiful. Its a good place to read, eat, work. Id definitely come again with my friend from Manila. :)
I would have given this 3 stars but it stocks coffee from coffee culture, which we love. Thats not enough to push it to 5 though.Nice, relaxing place, good for some work or hanging out. I really liked the soup but you have to order bread separately. We came here after hearing it had some vegetarian options but there were only a few things to choose from. Id like to come back to try breakfast.
Food is pretty good but dont expect too much. The staff is pretty slow on their feet and they come across as very inexperienced. They do serve interesting twists on your common meals bit the pricepoint is pretty steep if you got used to Dumaguete prices. Overall, its still worth checking out if youre kookig for something different. Just make sure you come with low expectations and a lot of patience.
one of the best resto and cafe in Dumaguete City...
Superb food. Reasonable price. Nice ambiance
Just had the best Eggs Benedict Ive had in any country. Others in my party had equally good looking presentations for their unique orders. A little slow on delivery but was worth the wait. I will return.
Unique dishes, inspired flavors, and attentive service. A hidden gem in Dumaguete.
I personally ranked it to 4 stars for good foods and good qaulity service.
Quiet place with great food. Interesting salads and good soup too.Bravo for joining the straw-free movement (Philippines is one of the biggest contributor of plastic waste to the ocean. For those who wish to use a straw, you may still ask for one from the servers.
Hoping for a bigger size of their brewed coffee. Not so satisfied with its price.
Chill kinda place in Dumaguete. Perfect for little chitchat with friends. Not so huge of a place. Maybe can fit close to 30 pax. But the food! So great! I wont tell much. You have to find out.
Very good food, I also ordered one portion of spaghetti Bolognese, and also they tasted very good. Its a nice place with a unusual local dishes. Go and try, you will like it.
nice food, great ambiance
