Alianti - Cafe in Isleworth, United Kingdom
Coffee is really not good, the old school burnt scorching hot lava disintegrated milk type
Perfect coffee. Delicious sandwiches.
This is an excellent small restaurant in a quiet side street of busy Richmond-on-Thames. We had walked from Ham House along the Thames and looked at the up-maket eateries near the bridge but we werent that hungry. We wandered into the town and found Alianti. I had a tuna mayo and sweet corn sandwich on granary bread. My wife had a brie and Mediterranean vegetables toasted sandwich. Both were freshly made while we waited. Both were more than generous portions of sandwich fillings. I highly recommend this cafe!
Very good and a wide selection of eats .all the staff very friendly and helpfull.and all just off the green.in the best part of Richmond. Plus very good coffee.
Alianti is a hidden gem tucked among the quiet alleyway that leads to Richmond green. Home to the best cappuccinos and the most delicious freshly baked goods, this café offers a quiet and cosy atmosphere for your coffee fix. Some of my favourite Alianti baked goods include: the nought stick, the brownies, the chocolate and strawberry cake, the cinnamon rolls, and my all-time favourite-the tiramisu cake!Although their cake slices can be pricey it is worth the money as the cakes are fresh and the slices are massive! You can easily share one cake slice between two people! The staff are welcoming and if you are struggling to decide what pastry to try the staff are always happy to recommend their personal favourites- from their recommendations I have discovered new favourites like pecan pie! They don’t play loud music so it can be ideal if you are having a coffee catch up with a friend, I personally find it a lot easier to follow a conversation without loud music playing. It is also nicely located near Richmond green and Richmond riverside- if it’s a nice day I recommend using their outdoor seating or getting a takeaway and enjoying it on the green.
Nice sandwich and drink shop staff was super friendly and service was spot on. Picked up some sweet goodies to go for late night snacking.
Great selection of sandwiches and pastries at affordable prices. We had the croissant sandwiches. Place is quiet and clean, great place to stop by for breakfast and lunch.
Fantastic coffee.My favorite in Richmond.
Going there at least once a week. Great selection of sweets and yummy salads. good salad is rare to find in Richmond. Best lunch place.
Wonderful hot chocolate and muffin!!
We have been coming to this lovely little cafe for a few years now and will continue to do so! The ladies are always so friendly and are so lovely with our children. It is always clean and well presented with lovely tea and coffee- but most importantly, AMAZING and always FRESH food and cakes and pastries! They really are delicious. From breakfast to panini and pasta, juice and coffee, pastries and more decadent cakes foo. We sometimes have cooked breakfasts which are really filling and great value. There is something for everyone here. Highly recommend this lovely independent place and it’s just off richmond green! The only thing I would say is, I do wish they had a toilet! But it’s not really the end of the world- can just go into elsewhere nearby for that!
Not very impressive. Service without a smile. Very bitter coffee. Eye roll at request for hot water.
Great food at great prices. Were always there
Ordered an English breakfast very bland but the service was good
Have been going to this restaurant for many years,Have always received good service, expensive but usually good service and qualityThings have changed badly since shut down, staff not so helpful or friendly.Had a meal there yesterday, it was uneatable, the jacket potatoSkin was burnt to a singer, the potato full of water, frozen prawns tasteless.Salad consisted of 6 small chunks of cucumber, 2 tiny pieces of tomato, 2 pieces of lettuce.Left the uneaten meal ,in full site of the staff, they walked past it a dozen times, they did not askMe if any thing was wrong with the meal at any time, so when I wen5 to payI advised them and showed the manager the meal, she was very unhelpful and said it must of been the prawns that caused it, no offer if some thing else, or even a piece of cake to go with my coffee.Full price taken, absolutely no appolgy.
Great place for a cappuccino and a pannini, but more than that. They have tea , pastries, interesting sandwiches and tarts. My favourite place to stop for a light lunch served well and at good speed. Forget you chain shop prepacked sandwiches and take a little more time to choose a lunch you will like rather than just eat. I recommend it after a big experience of both through many years working in Richmond. Its all good.
Lovely coffee and cakes. Staff very friendly. Highly recommended in Richmond.
Won’t recommend scrambled eggs on toast. They had no flavour at all (none).2 starts are for the juice which was good.
Great independent cafe with home made really tasty fresh produce, very enjoyable.
Nice little cafe, quiet when I visited on a Wednesday afternoon. Lovely coffee and pastry for a very good price, about half that of central London prices!
Delicious coffee ☕ in the cool shade. Busy little alley, hive of activity. Deliveries, families, friendly shop owners chatting to each other. In good weather a nice spot for a break from shopping to sit outside and watch the world go by. Seats inside too. One door was level with outside so ♿ access.
Excellent bacon sandwiches and coffee and the pastries are out of this world
Great little cafe just of the main road in Richmond, staff are always welcoming and service is good as well as fast, I often pop in for a quick bite and if Im on my way to a Rugby match this is where I go for a good breakfast beforehandHeartily recommend.
Cosy small coffee shop just off the green and one stone throw away from the shops and train station. It was quite busy when we went in and you have to walk carefully as to not to bump to other costumers but once you sit its fine. There are loads of tables outside if you dont mind the cold weather. The coffee and cake was delicious at a very affordable price.Staff was cheerful and friendly. Definitely will visit again.
Excellent paninis, no scrimping on the mozarella! Lots of herb/fruit teas to choose from as well as your normal cuppa. Always busy before theatre and friendly staff.
Nice food, good ingredients, made according to my taste and preference at the standard cost. Reasonable prices and a good coffee!
Good friendly service, Ive had club sandwiches which were tasty and substantial, baked potatoes and coffees all good. Mayonnaise over done.
Very poor English breakfast, beans were stone cold (and there were far too many of them, bacon was of poor quality, eggs were overdone and was all presented on a bed of toast which inevitably became very soggy. The sausage and tomatoes were fine. Service was good though.
Rushed service. Not allowed to sit outside until paid. Courteous staff.but could not even finish my sandwich. Mozzarella was a far cry from the real thing. Tomato was.old. did not taste of anything. Will not come back. Sorry
Cute little coffee shop. Well priced for the area. Normal English breakfast menu.
The HUGE pastry (apricot and chocolateI got here was delicious and the coffee very tasty. Considering both were bought for under £4 I’d highly recommend.
Excellent sandwiches; friendly, helpful efficient staff; limited space, but tables outside make it a great place for a quick lunch
Small cafe serving excellent pastries and fresh sandwiches. Welcoming and friendly service. Some tables indoors, others outside in small quiet alleyway adjacent to Richmond Green with afternoon sun.
Nice breakfast in the morning 3 parking bays opposite. Came here for something to eat before work perfect for any construction workers in need of a bite before starting the day.
Ordered a muffin , pastry , coffee and orange juice. The waitress forgot to charge for the pastry that was clearly ordered. When we asked for the pastry we were told it had not been ordered. We then asked to have the pastry and tried to pay only to be told there is a £3 minimum spend. This may be the case however the second order was due to the error of the restaurant. Pathetic service.
Beetroot soup and a salami-tomato panini for £5.50. Delicious, fantastic, and filling. It really hit the spot and wasnt a £15 burger.
Good quality food and coffee. Does get very busy at lunchtime, but thats to be expected in such a popular place. Personally, Ive never found the staff to be rude, quite the opposite in fact.
I was just charged £4.50 for a poor poor excuse of a stuffed jacket potato. Asked for butter first, got a dollop the size of my little finger and as for the stuffing enough for 3 mouthfuls. DRY DRY DRY!!!!TERRIBLE!!! The lady tried to be polite while serving but seemed to have a bit of a chip on her shoulder
Takeaway salad options are really nice and a great valueI had poor experiences here before like others mentioned with attitude and long wait times, but it seems they turned things around
"Its going to be a 20 minute wait if you want a club sandwich. Were very busy"3 other people in the shop. Poor attitude.Redeemed a star because it was actually a real good sandwich.
Tables were not cleared, the drinks sat for ages on the counter and only served when asked. Coffee quite good.
Service was great but the staff were clueless about making a good bacon butty (they didnt know what it wasand the cuppa tea was as Cockney as Dick Van Dyke! A tourist trap comes to mind...
I would rate this small coffee place like this: 4 star for service as it was fast and courteous. 4 stars for food and drink as the cappuccino was decent, the Cornish pastry enjoyable and the price fair. 2 stars for atmosphere as there was so much shouting and noise behind the counter and 1 star for not having Wi-Fi.
Wow lived in the area for many a years and always thought must pop into there and I finally did. Food was pricey but not for Richmond and could of got a lot less for my money in Richmond but thoroughly enjoyed this experience, ambiance was great and after all these years not gone there but will go back next time for one of their unique sandwiches and coffee!!! I would definitely try one of their Jacket Potatoes again maybe becoming a regular occurence
Could be 4 star. Reasonable emphasis on what they sell (good selection and OK quality across the boardbut unfortunately no care taken to how they sell it! I work close by and go regular and all to often have had lunch spoiled by staff who dont listen, dont care or dont know how to make a decent sandwich. As an example my lunch today a Beef and gherkin with English Mustard sandwich was impossible to eat - never seen so much mustard. The staff are the fly in the ointment.
No manners without any artisitc flair or love they just want money. The food is way to expensive but not even worth it. The scone was OK at first but got tedious and left a bitter taste after a while. I would have rather stood outside in the rain. Overall very dissatisfied with my visit.
If you miss good old English service youll find it here. The staff dont care whether you live or die and the coffee is so awful that it may hasten your departure.
Pretty ordinary cafe, croissants didnt look fresh and no toilet or washroom which is not great as we walked to Richmond from Kew, so wanted to wash hand etc before eating. Only realised this after paying to had to walk round the corner to the slug and lettuce instead and wished we gone in there. Wont be back unless desperate.
two of us went in for coffee and a cake this afternoon. We had to clear our own table, help ourselves to napkins and no knife was offered for the cake even though it was a large one. Coffee and cake was good but was spoilt by the atmosphere behind the counter. The staff were not interested in the customers, who all had to wait to be served. They were all talking very loudly, with one being unbearably loud. I then asked where the toilet was and they replied that they did not have a toilet. Is this legal? We will not be going back.
I stopped going to Alianti last year as I thought the service standards were poor and the food wasnt the best in the world compared with other cafes around Richmond. But Im all for giving someone another chance, so I popped in there this morning to get some breakfast. The woman who served me was extremely rude, and I seemed to be an inconvenience to her otherwise quiet morning given only one other person was in there. I ordered a sausage bap which proceeded to be thrown around the counter as she was in a bad mood. Eventually when my bap landed with the force of 6 megatonnes on the counter top and I said "thank you, have a nice day" she just turned her back on me.The sausage was hard from over cooking, the bap did not taste fresh and had to be washed down with 2 cups of tea. Also the decor of the cafe is crammed and the height and placement of the counter means that you cant see half the products; espeicially the bottom shelf, unless you are a dwarf. But if you are of a height to see the bottom shelf youll need a step ladder to see over the counter as it is WAY too high. All in all a terrible place and although I like to give places another chance I will never ever go to Aliantis again and would recommend everyone steers clear of it.
