Ali Baba Turkish Restaurant in San Juan

Kabab was good but the order dish I forgot the name its was okay

One of my fiances client loves Turkish food so we had to try this restaurant while in Puerto Rico. I am so glad that we did. It was one of the best dinners weve had in Puerto Rico. I had the lamb shish kabobs and my fiance had the lamb chops. The shish were definitely better but the chops had pretty good flavor. The hummus was sooo delicious.

Everything was SO good! The flavors are so authentic. I suggest the Baba ghanoush and the lamb. The meat sampler was really good too. Thank you Michele for great service!

Combo grilled meat kebabs were really delicious and tender, not over cooked. Delicious hummus. Fresh sides. So good!

Love this restaurant! Service is quick and servers are nice. Food is awesome; I love their Chicken shish kebab so much that I never try anything else 😂 hummus is really good too and so is their sangria.

This place has amazing authentic Turkish food. Only thing is its a little expensive.

First time eating Turkish food and Ali Baba didnt disappoint! Small and cozy but great food and friendly staff! Must try the babaganoush.

The outdoor seating for Ali baba is pretty unique and cozy. Away from the hustle and bustle of the road. The hummus and lamb doner kebab we tried were good and hearty but the star of the day was definitely the Baklava. Make sure to try out the Baklava at this place

TURK ALERT! I adore Turkish cuisine and as a former chef of over 23 years and having lived in Turkiye this is the real deal. I havent been back to SJ in a few years but it will be my first stop on my trip this September....funny thing is I havent booked a hotel yet but I am already planning meals! The staff and services was excellent too. Enjoy!

Stayed in Condado for 6 days, ate at many wonderful restaurants, but this place was by far the best! Authentic tasty food, excellent service!

Service was great. Vegan /veggie options were limited but delicious. There was a large exhaust fan blowing near our table making it a bit harder to hear others at the table but overall it was a very lovely experience. Especially recommend the hummus, babaganoush, and fresh bread! Falafel was also really tasty.

Service was great but food not so much. I had hummus, which was the best part of the meal, it came with a warm lavash that was really good. I also had the mixed ottoman casserole the meat was dry and had no taste whatsoever. I had the sultan’s spicy margarita and it was really bad.

Overpriced and very mediocre. Definitely a tourist trap. We got two small salads with chicken because they were out of lamb, and the hummus and were underwhelmed for the $60 price. Theres definitely better places to go along that street.

Food may be good but portion is so small. If you order one starter you will get one lavash. If you order more than one starter in your group (let’s say 3).. they will still give you one lavash and ask you to pay more for extra lavash. Very weird rule!! I liked Turkish style pizza. Again portion is small.. Falafal is very dry. Servers are so busy they never came back to ask. Even we have to standup and ask for water..

It was great !! Food was very tasty , service was awesome! If I come this area ever again I would definitely visit it again !!Felt like home away from away :)

One word delicious! We had Tabbouleh, Tzatzuki, and babaghnaoush. Hubby had beef shish kebab, and I had Falafel wrap. Warm Turkish bread...service was great. Super cool spot in Condado Beach. Last night here. Even cold class for beers.

Loved the food here! We loved the turmeric chicken curry, the falafel plate and Adana kebabs. The staff is very polite and quick with orders. The drinks we alright but dont miss the sumptuous food!

Good food. Several vegetarian and vegan options. The hummus and lavash are really good! The lentil soup and salad were delicious. The falafel was dry - would not recommend.

Hard to spot! In a little nook off a restaurant complex in Condado. Why eat Turkish in PR? Because it’s delicious. The hummus was incredible so was everything. The bread was so fresh it was hot to touch! Chicken was perfectly seasoned with a hint of curry, loved the little potato salad and cole slaw it came with. Great little off the beaten path spot.

They have indoor and outdoor seating. Conveniently located right across the street from the Marriott. Friendly customer service. Had the mixed grill and it was plenty for me and my wife. Prices are a little more than your typical Turkish place but its cute and in a touristy area so you expect that.

Fantastic service and food, highly recommend it. The restaurant is tucked away from most of the normal tourist spots so you get a much better atmosphere. We had the moussaka (excellentand the chicken kabobs (wonderful). Good wine selection too.

A hidden Turkish gem. Alibaba is a restaurant hidden in an alleyway between starbucks and a pizza joint, in the heart of Condado. If you walk too fast you may miss it. Just taking our first steps into the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the staff, asked for our vaccination IDs and immediately seated. Waiters were attentive and helpful. The sangria was delicious, food was great in taste and presentation, portions were moderate for the price and it arrived inba timely manner. Would definitely dine here again.

10/10 if you are looking for incredible middle eastern food this is your place hands down! We have been there twice already during our stay!!! It’s a hidden gem with the best baklava we have ever had!!!

4.5 stars just because the portions were small for the price. Gucci food , if you like Turkish food you will like this place. The place is not fancy btw but who cares because the food is good.

Wow! What a hidden gem. Over the years of traveling to Puerto Rico, I often wondered about this restaurant. However, never made a set mission to eat at the location. Last night was my day to explore and have dinner at Ali Baba. The food was prepared nicely, the service attendants were on top of the craft. Highly recommend you check out the hidden gem!

To go order was prepared quickly and the food was so good! We ordered the mixed grill for two and babaghanoush. Plenty of food for two people to share and we have leftovers for another meal. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

Discovered this fine restaurant last night after arriving in Puerto Rico.I have food allergy to gluten and they were very accommodating with outstanding options for me. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves the mediterranean cuisine and some outstanding food and service.

Excellent Place, Great Tasting Food, fresh hot and very Cozy Environment, Must put a visible Sign on the street to be seen for walking customers. Will definitely recommend. Best Option Mix Grill Platter.

So glad we found this restaurant. We were staying at the Marriott across the street and this little gem was hidden behind Starbucks. Very small but they have indoor and a couple of outdoor tables. Service was very friendly and the food came out quick. Everything we ordered was delicious. If you are in the area you have to try this place!

We had the Hummus appetizer and the Lamb Main Dish. My daughter had the Chix Kabobs off the kids menu. Food was excellent and quick. This place is a hidden gem. Baklava was amazing as well. Our waitress was great and answered any questions as well as recommendations.

The best falafels I had in San Juan. Great service with amazing food. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful Middle East foods. Please give it a try if you come by Puerto Rico. We couldn’t wait and order something to go. Delicious with bears!

Friendly owner and staff, excellent authentic Turkish food and setting, great service, convenient location by Condado Beach. Reliable parking as well. Great experience, highly recommend the Adana Kebab.

One of the best places we ate in PR. Appetizers were the star, we were too full after that.

I ordered the chicken shish to go and it was absolutely delicious, the ONLY thing that needs serious improvement is their yogurt sauce?? It had the consistency of glue-corn starch?? I don’t know, but it didn’t taste much like anything... It used to be a bit watery but super delicious, with yogurt, lime, dill, etc.

Excellent service. Very good food. The lamb dishes were great; but the curry chicken stole the show!

I was so glad that I have decided to come to this place after a long flight. The lamb kebab was great and of course the pita bread.Don’t forget to try their baklawa with ice cream, so yummy 😋

Came here one night because my husband and I were craving middle eastern food as it is one of our favorite foods. They had a variety of options to choose from. I got a dish with a different kinds of meat and chicken. The inside was decorated beautifully with hookahs on every corner. The service was super quick we got seated right away. After ordering our food, we also got baklava as a desert and it was delicious.

Gabriela, Fico y Lizzie are simply the best and really accommodating! Lizzie even got me freezing cups for my beer. The food is way too original and savory. 🥰 My fav Turkish Middle Eastern spot in the entire USA.

Merhaba!!! Here I am trying and comparing the flavors of the Turkish food in Puerto Rico with the ones that I tried in Turkey... First of all, the waitresses were extremely attentive, thats good, but at the same time a little annoying; they made two mistakes with our order, but they took care of it immediately. The hummus is the best that I tried in Puerto Rico, extremely delicious at the point that I could ate that and it was enough. We had two main courses to share: chicken curry and I dont remember the name of the other one, but Im going to post a pic, it was meat. The meat was delicious, but I cant say the same with the chicken curry. We ate baklava for dessert, it was delicious, but I missed the vainilla ice cream made with goat milk from Turkey. And last but not least, the Turkish coffee, it was good. After all, I want to go back to try the Turkish pizza, eat more hummus and baklava. Its a little pricey but is in the touristic zone

Amazing food, amazing staff. The have a very good option of vegetarian food too. You should definitely try the humus, the bread with it is just amazing. They have amazing casseroles. The service is really great, they give you good suggestions.

Great experience, good service, fresh products, authentic flavors. The baba ganoush was great. The lamb was flavorful. Good portions and the baklava is flaky, warm with a touch of sweetness. Great coffee.

Authentic, delicious Turkish food in a tiny mom-and-pop-feel restaurant with cozy decor. Expect typo-ridden menus that look to be printed on plain paper from a home computer, but dont let that dissuade you from seeking out this hidden gem.favorite dishes so far: kofte meatballs; moussaka (lamb and eggplant layered like lasagna and served piping hot in a little round crockery bowl); iskender kebap (my favorite lamb and yogurt dish from my time in Istanbul, done justice to here); chicken kebap (thin slices of chicken breast perfectly cooked with plenty of grill flavor); and of course homemade baklava with a tiny cup of strong Turkish coffee.
