Large, long-standing botanical garden featuring a vast, scenic array of exotic plants & flowers.
I totally recommend it. Well maintained and clean. The greenhouses are in a very good condition.
One of the prettiest botanical gardens Ive visited in the region. Its looking amazing in the autumn, I could just imagine how beautiful and lively it looks in the spring/summer.
Lovely! So many beautiful plants 🪴🌵🌸
A beautiful garden for visiting and for relaxing in a sunny day.
Nice for a walk on a late autumn
Beautiful experience in September. The crocuses and dahlias are in full bloom.Plus, they are currently hosting a live butterfly terrarium.
A nice place to spend a sunny afternoon.
Very nice place, entrance costs 5lei for adults, you can easily spend two hours there
Cool and relaxing place.
A breath of fresh air in the middle of the city. Worth taking a long walk around, the huge trees and various plants can offer a hideaway from the summer heath. It is a good place for photo shooting sessions. The carnivorous plant exhibition was pretty interesting. On a Saturday afternoon too bad there were more people in the shopping mall than in the garden. Entry fee for a family with 2 children is only 32 Ron.
The Botanical Garden in Cluj Romania is known for many years as a myst seen atraction. First open to pubkic was in 1925. It is a very big garden, 14 hectares. They have a Rose Garden with 250 species. It is a must to see in CLUJ NAPOCA
Beautiful, beautiful to beautiful. with flowers and plants from all over the world. The garden is divided into several gardens divided into themes, such as an Asian garden, a Roman garden and tropical greenhouses. Some of the plants and trees are in greenhouses. A small stream flows along part of the garden with a wonderful sound of water, waterfalls, crossing over wooden and iron small bridges. a calm and beautiful place. Those who know how to appreciate green and nature will enjoy it very much. You can spend a few hours here. Part of the place feels like a forest, really magical.
If you want to enjoy a bit of peace of tranquility in the middle of nature this is a place you should definitely be visiting this place .Beautiful roses and a vaste collection of Dahlias which are absolutely gorgeous . It is at a walkable distance from the city center and the ticket costed us only 13lei which is .One tip to the local authorities or whoever might be managing this kind places you should invest a little bit more in this places .
You know those kind of museums that make you travel in time? Museum of botanical garden Cluj is one of those, feel like you are many years back but in a good way. Wooden cabinets, plants on jars or pressed on paper, dioramas, graphical drawing materials, anything "old style" and I hope is staying unchanged. The garden is a calm retreat in the harts of the city, lots of informations and also here that old research vibe of mid century. Take a visit!
A very nice botanical garden.Entrance fee is 2 euros. Most of the garden is well maintained, but some parts of it are pretty dirty, especially the water, lots of plastic bags and tissue in the water and on the rocks ( dont know from where are coming?).We spent more than 2 hours in the garden, discovering lots of plants. Its worth to visit! 👌
Relaxing oasis in the middle of a busy city. There was a bonsai exposition not long ago
Prices were good. Discount for students. Multiple areas to visit such as japanese garden, tropical forest(inside greenhouse), forest area, flowers area, water tower( you can climb to the top of it ~15m and watch around- due to the nearby trees you will not be able to see much other than the city. They also had an exhibit but we didnt manage to visit it as it was only available until 16h, so if you want to visit everything, you might want to consider going before/around noon)
Wonderful for a morning or afternoon stroll! All the flowers were labeled in both Romanian and English which I greatly enjoyed since it made it easier to make connections. A large variety of roses as well. Definitely worth a visit if the weather is nice.
Perfect place where you can go when in city is too hot!
Such an amazing botanical garden!
Such a lovely place. Worth visiting
A perfect place to let the forest wash away your cares. I was never bored because everywhere I looked I saw extraordinary beauty.
In summer season it was a really awesome place
Very nice and well maintained garden, but, it is a nightmare to find a parking place nearby , as the place is located in an area where most of Cluj hospitals are. Because its beautiful, and its worth visiting it, finding a parking place should not stop you from visiting it.
lovely place.. if you are in Cluj, its worth visiting
Verry nice and peaceful place to walk. A lot to see and feel. Recommend!
A very nice place to go and spend time in
A beautiful place, especially when tulips are in bloom!
Its very nice but I think it has some unused potential
We went there end of March, early April. I recommend to go later in April, when all flowers are blooming. We didnt witness that in this period.
We had the pleasure to visit it during late autumn. The garden was beautiful even at this time of year. There were no tulips, roses and the plants that look amasing during the summery days. Yet, personally, i found the gardens very relaxing, cosy and ready to be explored and fill yourself with good energy. A numerous number of trails make the garden look bigger than it actually is. Its actually a small maze that is worth exploring at any time of the year even, i guess, during winter with everything covered in snow.
Its a nice place. But you will not enjoy visiting during winter. The best time to visit here is spring and summer. Part of the area you will see lots of pupu on the road very disgusting and unkept. It was irritating to go to that section. If not for that the place is sweet
Amazing garden with beautiful flowers. We were there in a hot sunny day and we found enough places where to hide from the sun.
Nice garden with a wide range of flowers and plants. You can spend some hours here. Definitely worth visiting it!
Always a delight to visit this peaceful oasis in the middle of urban hustle and bustle. There are occasional special exhibits like the butterfly one we visited this time.
Lovely atmosphere, a really beautiful place. We enjoyed the butterflies a lot. We felt so disconected from the busy city.
Fantastic place, with a large variety of flora from practically every biome. The entirety of the garden feels like a lovingly crafted floral theme park, and despite some of the buildings showing their age, the natural beauty of it all more than makes up for it.Do yourself a favour and dont forget to visit the butterfly building, the people there are very nice and knowledgeable and youll see some of the most beautiful species of butterflies at different stages of their development.
I visited the botanical garden under the snow of January 2020. There are multiple things to see such as the garden itself but also a botanical museum and glass houses with tropical plants. There is also a tower from the top of where you have a nice view of the garden. This visit under the snow felt magical.
Very nice place. The garden is really clean and quiet. The diversity of plants is amazing. You can enjoy a relaxing day in the middle of nature. The entrance fee is 11 lei (around 2 €and you can also buy some drinks there. Bring your favourite book and enjoy it in the middle of the forest listening to the birds.
Well, definitely a pretty big botanical garden which is the perfect place to breath fresh air in a hot summer day. The paths are a mix of ups and downs in a natural forest between different areas which are deliverying to your eyes a beautiful sort of olants, flowers and trees which are filling your soul with happiness. A japanese garden is also available. Definitelly a must see when in Cluj.
Very nice. Please alocate 2-3 hours to visit all, youll be able to find a lot special flowers, plants and trees from all around the world.
Beautiful place, go there at oppening times as it gets crowded pretty quickly. Highly advisable to visit this place, beautifully kept garden with plants from different places of the earth (cactus from desert area, bushes from japan, pine from russian tundra,to name justa few of them.
Although it is smaller than expected, I had a lovely time walking though the different areas of the garden. The front is the most beautiful, since its the part with all the flowers, but we had a fun little adventure through the forest as well. Its a great place to go have a walk on your own, go on a cute date, or take aesthetic pictures with your friends or family.Due to the virus, of course the interior areas are closed.
This garden takes you to all flora of all main Romanias reagions. Is like you are goind to a visit a flat area then shortly a hilly area and after you are climbing an mountain seeing the alpin flora. you can see rocks and a small waterfall.
Very beautiful; I didn’t expect much from it so it surprised me, although some major parts of the garden are closed due to the pandemic. Also, I had free entry because I’m a student, or at least that’s what I understood from the cashier.
Great place to go and chill. Right in the middle of the city this little place of heaven its perfect for a walk after a stressful day. I strongly recommend the botanical garden and believe that nature is the best medicine for anything. And I would recommend the greenhouses, they have great plants in there, sadly when I was there they were close.
A pretty nice botanical garden and probably the best one in Romania. The entrance fee is reasonable (10 lei for adultsand you can easily spend 1-2 hours walking around. There are many statues and benches spread around the garden.
Beautiful! Went while it was pouring rain. Had the whole place to ourselves. Be careful! Its slippery! Love how the rain gave this place a completely different feel. Ticket girl was nice :she gave us a delicious Romanian pastry.
Have been visiting this place since I was a child and it was exciting to bring my kid with me after he was born in another country. Its a great place to teach children about nature and its a very relaxing place. A little more crowded than I remember, but they seem to have gotten more species of flowers as well. Cant wait to go back for rose season.
Excellent place to get connected with the nature. You can stroll around the alley and admire the natural beauty of the place. You can read descriptions for the plants or you can go inside the greenhouses and enjoy seeing tropical plants. Or you can climb the fire tower and admire the city from up there. Or if you are looking for a quiet place you can spend a couple hours there.
