Alchemy Café-Gastropub in Phnom Penh

Loved the atmosphere. Brought my 2 kids while a live band played. They had pizza. Terrific time indeed!

Good ambience! Very good choices on artists for the live music nights. Buuuuut, the drinks service needs to make sure the drinks are following the international standars. To be specific: Watery Baileys IS NOT GOOD. is a short drink to be serve at the very moment. Maybe instead to use ice, ice stones could be a better option. Investing in customers experience is a MUST.Btw, you guys can find the stones in Daiso Japan for around 4 dollars.Nice place.

Food was excellent. Live music was fabulous. Band called Whiskey Got Groove. Sadly its their last night. Food portions are large and value for money.

Great draft beers on tap and large plates of food. The steak salad and garlic cheese fried chicken wings are amazing value.

Food was great and the atmosphere is good even had a live band which was nice and the band was good. Service needs to be improved. I finished my meal and drink and sat there for 15-20 minutes before anyone asked if I needed anything

Im my humble opinion, one of the best Café- Gastropubs in PP. You can find everything you need here- music, food, entertaiment, good quality alcohol, pretty weitresses, and lots of positive energy!

Nice bar. The drinks were a little overly priced and the ale wasnt great. Nice place for live bands.

Great Western-Style food. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because their Khmer menu was short.I had a Cambodian lady-friend who was not impressed. Not what you want on a date.I loved that they had staff that spoke English and Khmer.

This place was okay. Would not be my first choice but it’s not terrible. We ordered cocktails off the menu, but it looked like the bartender was struggling to figure out the ingredients.The nachos were good. And I think I’d say that even if I hadn’t been living in Asia for six months and severely missing Mexican food.

Used to be a great place for food and drinks when it opened a couple of years back, but my experience here was different this time around. Food (lunchwas okay, but in general, service was not up to expectations. Overall, it is still a great place to hang out over dinner and drinks and with a bunch of friends. The outside ambience, in particular, is great at times.

The drinks are hit/miss ... not as consistent as I like. Especially the drink specials are in the miss category so do give those a miss though they may be tempting! Food is decent here, but a little on the spendy side. The vibe is excellent, it just feels good to be in this place. And they do have a GREAT variety of music performances.

Great place, a little too expensive but what do you expect from a Fullers pub in Cambodia. Thats right, Fullers. The live bands are awesome and the food is great. Just the prices are the only let down.

By far my favorite place for good food, drinks and music. The food is delicious and not as expensive as one might think, the drinks are great and the bartenders show their skills, for the music I must say the sound quality and music is simply the best in Phnom Penh. The layout is great and the recently installed rooftop outside makes it even greater to be there, especially when it’s raining.The staff are all fantastic and they’re always smiling.

Amazing bars, wonderful cocktail, wonderful service, food is amazing... This place is mostly for foreigners, vibes feels like in western country by the way, the decor is ultra modern and fancy... Price is bit pricey anyway...

Very nice place, clean with good atmosphere and both open air and air conditioned seating, decently good service, open late, tasty food, reasonable prices, good beer selection, occasional live music.

Miss Sarawan sang some of my favourite tunes and the bar does a decent mohito - who could ask for more? Be warned, Alchemy is right up there on the Toul Tom Poung pretentiousness chart! Outside dining tables were vacant but reserved all evening and I had to eat my fish on a small pedestal table - the band however, even won over the staff who seemed keen to start their Khmer New Year celebrations 🎉 who could blame them...

Im from Australia but now Call Phnom Penh Cambodia home for the last 11 years, Ive just moved into street 123 after living for the last 10 years in another part of the cityIm a couch surfer host in Phnom Penh Cambodia and only host females from around the world last night two young ladies from Ireland took me down to where the music was coming from that we could hear from my balconyWOW and found AlchemyWe spent 3 hours here live band great music but the food had just stopped from being served as it was just after 10 pm we left at closing time 1amFrom now on Ill be bringing all my couch surfing females to this place last year 2018 I had 177 different females from 34 countries stay this year the number will be higher all looking For a safe place, good music and fun and Alchemy has it all .

Very chill and laid back bar with great music and a great atmosphere. Drinks are good, food is OK. Definitely check it out when they have live music!

Neat place. Friendly and attentive staff. They have craft cocktails with fun names. I tried a couple of their signature gin cocktails and they were delicious. I was just there for drinks but the food at other tables also looked amazing, both western and local cuisines.

Been there for lunch with some friends, it seems like the place get busy at night however I never tried it in the evenings.Food is good, nice ambiance, well designed.The staff are professional and then prices are quiet good.In that block, I would only eat at two places and Alchemy is one of them.

Thank you for a wonderfull environment with good affordable food. Not big on Jazz but loved the atmosphere. This is a place where you can sit back and relax whilst sipping on a cocktail. Definately not ideal for a quick beer

To add details to my 2-stars review as requested by the owners response below: I find your venue over-priced, particularly for the location. I have also only been when its busy and then it saddens me there is one person who can pour beers and another person handle the register. Its a Cambodian thing, but still. Its a reason why I wont visit Score Bar anymore; there it takes 30 minutes to get a beer. And I have seen plenty occasions that people get their beers in cans faster at the shop down the street and return to your venue to enjoy the live music and you are missing out on that.

my drink was watered down and they never came back to our table to ask if I wanted another drink. Space we were there for 90 minutes or so. And it wasnt like they were very busy either I only saw it four other people the entire time. The place looks cool and has a great ambiance but service was lacking.

I am here on a quiet Wednesday evening enjoying a world class duo band. Best live music in Phnom Penh so far. Difficult to connect to WiFi if you dont have facebook account. Food ok. Great place to chill out

Great drinks and drinking environment, for the alcoholics and the non alcoholics. The names of the drinks themselves make you want to order up! Apparently they have science behind each mixture. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement, as you wish.

New bar with really good cocktails and some seriously good single malts. Relaxing vibe. They have cold pressed juice and other healthy stuff.Worth dropping in.

I enjoyed the nice food, beer, and live music there. The staffs there are very friendly. And always recommend you some good choices.

Pleasant atmosphere. If youre looking for a change of pace from the usual Angkor or Cambodia beer, this is a great place to get a tasty, imported beer or selection of Kingdom beer. Prices arent low, at around $3.50-6 a beer. Have other cocktails, a wine list, and food as well.

Great IPA on draft with a fun selection of cocktails. Food was tasty, but heavy - which is probably good for soaking up all the booze youll consume here ;-)

Amazing food! there werent many people but there was no music in the rear courtyard. Very filling meals.

I finally went to Alchemy and was very impressed. Gold indeed!Its a great space. Nice, modern interior, large open courtyard and good rear balcony. The food was good and the cocktails were very well done. Its not the cheapest place in town but its well worth it. The staff were very polite and their English is good.Nice work Alchemy, I will be back 👏🏼

Not a big fan of expensive places but this place has an extensive collection of expensive beers, sorry but not for me

This is just such a quality place. Highest on your list of reasons to visit are the great quality craft and Belgian beers, terrific food and regular live performances from quality acts. The venue is lovely with a back beer garden, front outaide area for live acts, upstairs for privacy or DJs on select nights and great air conditioned middle bar. This place screams quality. The excellent foods range from $5 to $10 for most things, excluding steaks etc. The Grilled Lamb Wrap pictured was $5.95 and very tasty. A place I visit weekly now.

Menu is good,but they often dont have everything on it. They only sell premium beers and craft ales not local, more reasonably priced beers. A great venue to see live music.

Huge section of drinks. Cider was tasty and sweet. Nachos were the bomb! Wings were the best Ive tasted. Beef short ribs were moist and tender.

This is a very nice bar. It has a friendly atmosphere. We had the nachos which were nice and reasonably priced. I tried a couple of the locally brewed beers which were very refreshing and appropriately priced. (Between $2 and $5 per glass)An all round good bar.

Owners were friendly, drinks were perfect. Some of the Cambodian bartenders refused to make change for a $100 bill even though we were a huge group (like more than 20and the ex-pat owners were happy to do it.

New trendy GastroPub in the neighborhood. Its run by the same people as the Brooklyn pizza and Posh Nosh up a bit north on the same street. The food is good but their menu is still small now. Drink selections are better. They have about 10 beers on tap, a few of them are domestic. Ask about their beer taster sets.
