Albion Hotel in Miami Beach
Description
Not the best customer service or pool, but clean and fairly inexpensive.
The hotel is a nice place. Big hall right after the entrance, a big pool, a bar for having a drink, an ATM, and the rooms were pretty good. I would improve the cleaning of the carpet in the room and the elevator as there was some sand of the beach. The location is really good. One block away from the beach, also from Collins Avenue, and from Lincoln Road (with many storesand restaurants. Also there are some supermarkets right in the corner were you could buy some things to have in the little fridge in the room. The hotel provides free coffee during the morning, and you can have a breakfast just for 10 dollars. The hotel also provides towels to bring to the beach and the pool. The internet connection in the room was not that good. But it worked.
MoreGood for short stopover in South Beach Miami. Good value for money.Clean bedroom but bathroom is not so much.
MoreBrilliant. Didnt realise it was one of the famous art deco hotels until we arrived, architecture is stunning with great attention to detail. Room was clean and comfortable, good shower, good aircon. Nice pool, easy to get in and out, love the portholes down the side. Plenty of public spaces to relax, good lounge area, dining area for ubereats. Another bonus was the private beach with loungers & brolleys, towels included free which was good as we visited from the UK. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent location, just off the longest shopping street in the city, by a bus stop for the free bus, next to the main stop for bus tours and in an area slightly cheaper to eat out. Would recommend.
MoreStaff are friendly and helpful, room is clean and comfy, great location close to restaurants and the beach. Perfect for us to potter about without needing Lyft to get about
MoreGreat location, friendly staff and clean rooms. The pool and complementary towel services for the beach are a treat! Would definitely recommend to stay here for a great value for money stay!
MoreI been in Miami 4 times and always booked at Hotel Belleza and had red hair and my son purple. We wanted to stay in a different hotel closer to the ocean & my surprise I booked two rooms for me and my children. Couldn’t fit 6 total in a room so had to get 2 rooms. Paid $250 security deposit for each and they charge me $350.00 because my Tub was supposedly damaged due to my red & purple shampoo for my hair. Never ever heard such thing. Really I never had such discomfort, had my husband go get Clorox Tilex to clean and yes it worked slightly but needed to be rested for more than 20mints, and I had to leave to airport couldn’t stay but when my daughter went upstairs to check if I left a document she saw the tub more cleaner. But couldn’t take a picture. Our lost, & to be honost the pictures are deceiving, the hotel doesn’t look anything like pictures, breakfast is so wrong, false advertising on breakfast pictures, my room 303 smells like swear gases coming from the vent, & vent for bathroom didn’t work, & ceiling is peeling and internet service was really bad, used my cell internet to get work done.I’m very so sad about how this trip ended, they sure made me feel coming back home fast. I did love the location, the bartender was awesome gentleman and the door young man was a charm anybody else they were so rude and money is there focal point. Oh and I never tipped the maids because they never did a good job despite I would pick up the garbage for them and put it nicely for them.and for me to buy Clorox Tilex to clean makes me think what chemical they use that they couldn’t get the paint off themselves. Due to COVID very anti-hygienic place, I do not recommend unless they change there defects and there false advertisement. Going back to Hotel Belleza. Oh and yes Hotel Belleza has laundry and they didn’t.
MoreGreat room, great service, great location. It could use a little updating but theyre were in the process of that during our short stay. Pool closed earlier than I like so we didnt get a chance to use it but other than that everything else was fine. Lots of shopping close by. And the beach is like only a block or 2 sway
MoreMy favorite hotel every time I visit MiamiClean, beach is walking distance, bar downstairs.
MoreBudget budget and not very nice in summary. Good location. Pool a bonus and staff happy to help. Not sure why Trailfinder have this on the list. Very jaded rooms are 20 years old at best. Rotting wood in bathrooms. Paint peeling off ceilings. And bed is not what you pay you hard earned cash for. Lumpy and years of usage. Upgrade to a better option.
MoreI came down with Covid 48 hours prior to my booking, Albion South Beach Hotel refuses to offer a refund even though I submitted test results, which I think is a medical invasion of privacy, to begin with. Perhaps I should have just stayed there and transmitted Covid. $600 is worth more to them than my future business. I would not recommend...
MoreA nice hotel in Miami Beach. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the beach and borders a strip of shops and restaurants. My wife and I (we are from Germanystayed for a few nights on our honeymoon. To be fair I have to say that we were actually only in our room to sleep. So I cant say anything about the equipment. But the rooms were tidy.
Moreits a fine enough hotel in a great location. but wifi is very important to me and it was slow and intermittent. sorry but thats 3 stars.
MoreThe internet was extremely spotty and did not work most of the time, to the point where I gave up on it had to pay $60 in mobile data fees to use that instead. Room was also never cleaned during my 5 day stay. Good lobby and location though but would definitely not stay again.
MoreDidnt find anything wrong with this place. You get what you pay for. Staff was very accommodating. Location is amazing. I would come back
MoreStayed at the penthouse. It was awesome at reasonable pricing. Management really cares about their customers. Just a short walk to the beach! Id highly recommend!!
MoreLove this hotel the room are a little dated but other than that my husband and I really enjoyed our stay and will be back
MoreOlder hotel that is clean and comfortable. Showing its age in many ways. Was fine for our needs and is in a convenient area close to the beach.
MoreThe location of the hotel is excellent, it is a few minutes walk from the sea and restaurants and shops, inside the hotel there is a pool. The hotel itself is quite old, the rooms are spacious but require a general renovation.
MoreHotel staff was top notch. There was never a doubt about the cleanliness off the hotel, because whenever I left my room, there was a staff member cleaning. Room was decent, and did the job. Bed was very comfortable. Location was excellent. Walgreens was right around the corner. Bar downstairs, pool on 2nd floor. The art decor of the lobby was phenomenal. I am definitely staying there again when I return I’m 4 weeks.
MoreNice hotel. It has all of that old world charm Miami charm. Would have 5 stars if they make a few more modern updates. The upper floors at the corner rooms are great. The wall of windows at sunrise and view of the ocean to wake up to is wonderful.
MoreMark was wonderful helping me get a room. Even upgraded me from petite to king room at no cost extra! 2 blocks from the beach and right near restaurants and shops on Lincoln Rd. Will stay again. Bed was comfortable and room was very nice.
MoreThis a fabulous hotel and excellent value for the $$. I was on a solo vacation and I felt safe and well attended to by the kind & hard working staff. The surroundings are lovely with the beautifully designed Lobby and Tropical Courtyard. There were careful health precautions observed to keep all guest safe and comfortable. I felt so wonderful each day as I returned to the hotel after beach, touring, etc. Truly a wonderful home away from home. A special shout out to Mossimo at the front desk who really supported me when I was having a difficult time personally one day. His kindness and warmth made such a difference! I will definitely be returning to this South Beach Gem!
MoreThey need to improve the front desk customer service. They were horrible and nasty. I never saw a manager laying to their customer. Usually managers are to build a bridge not a wall. Over all their customer service is below zero. Only the door man was nice. I would not recommend this place .BTW, the bed was not comfortable at all.
MoreNice hotel with great location very close to the Lincoln road and the beach. Front desk customer service was great. Rooms and elevator needs renovation, but over all good. Comfortable beds.
MoreI had booked dec 23-jan2 2022. Upon arrival i was shocked how misleading the online photos were. The photos looked like they were taken 15 years ago. The hotel is extremely dated and run down. The room itself was somewhat decent but the common areas where absolutely terrible, and very dated. I told the front desk person that I could not stay there for this reason and they charged me two nights penalty. I called the next day to speak with the manager, and a person with a British accent was extremely rude and hung up the phone on me. I dont recomend this botel to anyone. Very overpriced and absolute garbage.
MoreStayed for one night prior to a cruise. Staff was pretty nice. Room was decent. Location was great. Price was sufficient. Id stay again.
MoreFantastic hotel. With a large pool and chill places to relax scattered across the hotel inside on the mezzanine and outside on the outdoor seating. Clean, spacious rooms and helpful staff. Would recommend.
MoreIt’s really decent! The outside is super beautiful and its near a ton of places that is walking distance; food, general needs, and even the beach. The room was very VERY small and SADLY they do not own microwaves! The bar has a nice vibe and lets not forget about the pool which is super LOVELY!! Albion wasn’t the cleanest but NOT disgusting!
MoreSuch a great hotel! Nearby everything you could possibly think of on a strip! Right next to the beach & the staff were very accommodating! Loved that the pool had a second sort of floor to just layout by the pool by. Their bar was awesome because of their video game section they had & their bartenders were great!
MoreThis hotel is absolutely disgusting. I don’t think the room was vacuumed or cleaned properly at all. There was a clump of hair on the floor, plastic from clothing tags, and crumbs all over the floor. There was brown splatter on the lampshades, some kind of crumbs on the nightstand, and a spider web hanging from the sprinkler head. The air conditioner vents were also full of dust. See the attached pictures, please. We were stunned to see the room that dirty, especially in Covid times. The hotel was not any better. I think they falsely advertised the hotel being clean. We were scared and worried of getting sick. Therefore, we refused to stay there. I expressed my worries and concerns to the front desk personnel. They insisted that we stay one night in order for us to be refunded. I really didn’t want to, but I had to comply. The next day, we checked out and went to another hotel. The Albion Hotel didn’t meet any of the health guidelines whatsoever. Also, I’ve not received any email confirmation for a credit of the original charge and of whatever I was charged. The hotel claimed that I would, and has not followed through.Do not book this hotel! Stay away!
MoreI previously gave a bad review but i had to come back & give 2 thumbs up to Tony, the bartender who made our stay more than welcoming. The drinks he served were truly on POINT! Thanks again for your hospitality Tony & such an enjoyable time. Youre the best!!!
MoreIt’s near to south beach (walking distance), near to pizza bar, near to wall green, near to shopping , near to everything. I booked small room but they provided me big one with $25 per day extra. No worries you are in Miami. All night parking is $40 in front of hotel even till 12 AM.I am here in off season to for 3 nights I paid $600 when I booked this one month prior.swinging pool is kind of close but sitting area is very good. Staff are to friendly and they told me due to Covid, room service is only on special request or let us know what you want.bar is nice in the hotel. Again I love it because it’s nearby everything
MoreThis Hotel was amazing the pool was awesome and the hotel has alot of amenities such as a fridge that a 4 star hotel would have. Some have said that this hotel was dirty but it was far from dirty it was very clean and looked very close to the pictures without the blue pillows. The 150 bus stops right by here and takes you straight to the airport and it is close to litterally all the good food beach and everything you need and want. Will definitely be staying here again.
MoreThis hotel will go down as one of the dirtiest Hotels that I have stayed in. The lobby is beautiful leading you to believe that the rest is just as pretty. Once you leave the lobby for you room the elevators smell so nasty and it gets worse the room has carpet that smells and I know for sure is dirty. The bathroom floor was dirty and so was the tub dirty. This was my 1st time here and I will never return. Please save your money and stay somewhere else.
MoreNot recommended at all! This was the worst hotel experience I ever had. My check in was 45 minutes delayed, when I finally checked into the room the water was not working at all. My sisters room was dirty. There was sticky debris in refrigerator, someone’s earring on the floor, a foul odor, in addition to a loud ringing noise in the vents. The elevators are terrifying, please expect every entry onto the elevator it will attempt to close on you and shakes while entering. The rooms were nothing like the photos at all. This was the most disappointing stay and I cannot believe I paid this much money to stay here.
MoreHad a very short stay so I couldn’t use all of their facilities not even see the pool. My room had a nice view and the room was big and comfortable and looked super clean. Read some reviews before staying and was concerned but everything turned out to be OK. Elevator and hallway in the lobby a bit dark. Internet was not steady. For the price I paid, a 9,50. 💪
MoreIt looks updated in some areas but rushed. Like in our bathroom the socket wasnt flush to the wall and was exposed. And it looked like dry wall or plaster stuck to the bathroom floor behind the door. The bed was ok. Breakfast isnt worth purchasing. Its better to just walk around the corner somewhere. The pool area was great though and the lounge areas outside as well. Overall our stay was ok and the employees were nice. But for the price paid we could have stayed somewhere else better quality and we will next time.
MoreMy boyfriend and I stayed 5 days and enjoyed every minute. The hotel was clean. The location to the beach, parking and dining was perfect. Not too congested as Ocean Dr was and I appreciated that. The courtyard and pool was very relaxing. The staff was very friendly and accomodating with anything we needed. We will definitely return here on our next stay in Miami.
MoreI want to start with the positive, although limited, because there was a few. Spoke to 3 different employees at the front desk and they were all very warm, helpful, and welcoming. As for the bartender, he was excellent. He was very friendly and mixed amazing drinks! The lobby and outdoor patio area/pool was very aesthetically pleasing—but the appeal of the hotel ends there. The hallways were very eerie and dimly lit; the elevators were creaky, dark, and wobbly. Upon entering the room, there was a musty smell and the carpets were ripped. The appliances were dusty, and the phone did not work. The bathroom itself had areas with heavy rust, dirty caulking, and a leak in the ceiling which dripped on us while we were using the restroom. I feel that the most important part of a hotel is the rooms (where you will spend most of your time during your stay), and this hotel was severely lacking in the most important aspect. I hope they see this review and invest in some serious renovation because there is a lot of potential considering it’s proximity to the beach and plethora of restaurants.
MoreThe staff is so friendly. The hotel is extremely accommodating! What an absolute GREAT location! The price, location, staff and no resort fee 100% make this hotel the place to be!They upgraded our room for my husbands 40th birthday. We are extremely happy with our stay here.
