Authorities are following all the safety measures for visitors. Best time to reach later evening to click some amazing pictures for your social media. When English writer Rudyard Kipling visited the Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur, he wrote that it was a "rebuke to all other museums in India from Calcutta downwards." Thats high praise coming from the son of a curator, and fitting for this renowned institution.
Been there multiple times. There is not kuch to see inside of the museum compound but the building of museum itself is quite beautiful. Its lit in the night. And everyday the lighting is slightly different which makes to visit this place in night, a worthful experience. This time when I visited jaipur I stayed in MD road which is near to Albert hall so I eas able to visit this place every night after dinner. And its beauty just mesmerize you.Its a worthful visit.
Its a great museum to visit you will find a lot of artifacts here and some stones showing the finest engravings of Indian history theres a lot of plates and vases which were looking too much beautiful wished that I could buy them. Theres a variety of guns inside. The interior and architecture of the building is one of its kind.
This museum is built like a palace, and looks beautiful at night with all the colourful lighting. The exhibits are interesting but mostly repetitive - lots of vases and crockery of different countries. The most interesting exhibit is the one of an Egyptian mummy.Worth a visit if museums interest you, if not, go for the sheer grandeur of the place!
A must visit with friends and family as it has a very good collection. Loved the pottery and arms section. It also has a Mummy from Egypt. Lot of history and heritage. Do not miss on the overall architecture of the museum itself.Maintenance can be increased more as it looks a bit run down mainly the upper floor. Also do not miss the HUGE sitaar on first floor.
Beautiful palace which have been converted into a museum. It remains open till 8 p.m and entry fee is Rs.50. Beautifully lit at night. You can spend almost 1-2 hours here. Watch the coin, cloth, instruments, utensil and many more collections. Must visit if you are traveling to Jaipur and go to masala chowk food court to eat something which is at walking distance from here.

Amazing place to check out the vibrant and rich history of the pink city. Well kept artefacts and antiques with good architecture and ambiance. Great for photos and a good place to chill away from the scorching heat. Carry student IDs for a discounted ticket price.
Beautiful architecture, and a very unique collection of artefacts within. Best part I felt was the powerful central airconditioning done for the museum - lifesaver for tourists especially during the Rajasthani summers.

Loved it! The architecture is again, so Indian & authentic while the interior takes you on a journey through time. The collection in the museum consists of ancient/medieval upholstery, weapons & armoury, pottery & utensils, paintings, sculptures and many more. The personal highlight for me was the mummy!

Good learning experience, we get to know about our history.A journey in our proud past where our great grand fathers fought with courage.Their weapons told all the true stories of the battlefield.Great place to visit and learn a lot.Everyone should visit with family and friends.Enjoying this memorable trip to jaipur.
4 star rating for artworks of artisans, great culture and efforts, being made by the govt. Nice collection of ancient artworks. Fully air-conditioned premises. One star less for the system, as usual it sucks. I had three kids along-with, but student ticket was not given, because ticket vending machine was not working.Guards were allowing people without tickets, who known of other staff.Urinal were clean, but it you want to fresh, zet in comode doesnt work there, also no soap to was hands.
Such a stunning building. For all the years I have been coming to Jaipur, was not aware of this Air Conditioned Museum. A must visit!! Design students must visit.

The museum gets its name from the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, because of the similarity of architecture. The foundation for the building started in 1876, when Prince of Wales visited Jaipur. When the building was constructed, the royals and government did not have any idea about usage of the building. It was initially used as Town Hall in 1880. Later, the King of Jaipur, Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II suggested to use it as a museum for Industrial Arts. Later, the hall was used for displaying masterpieces of local artisans. If you are a photographic junk then you will definitely enjoy the one here with awesome clicks.
