Albanian League of Prizren in Prizren

A very small museum (1 euro entryabout the history of Albanian nationalism in the 18-19th century. There are some nice original photos and some telegrams/documents in English, but very little interpretation. According to a sign on the ground floor, the original building was bulldozed by Serbian forces in early 1999 but rebuilt in the same style later the same year.

Voor €1 kun je naar binnen. Er zijn nauwelijk teksten toegevoegd bij de schilderijen, kledij of andere kunstwerken. Je moet er een beetje je eigen invulling aan geven. Maar toch erg mooi om een beeld te krijgen van de Albanezen vroeger. Toch zeker de moeite waard om hier te gaan kijken als toerist.

Very beautiful and must visit in Prizren city and in Kosovo.

1 euro entry, some interesting articles , but not much information to read and learn about in contrast to the comments in the reviews.Learnt about the main figures and that was about it. There is an ethnographic museum and a gallery of images depicted of mostly that era.Building has been recreated in the ssme location as you will see on the plaque

Historic place for Albanians

En. - The Albanian League of Prizren was an Albanian political organization officially founded on June 10, 1878. At the meeting the Albanian leaders emphasized their intention to preserve and maintain the territorial integrity of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans by supporting the "to struggle in arms to defend the wholeness of the territories of Albania". This initial position has changed radically and resulted in demands of autonomy of Albanians and open war against the Ottoman Empire.

City with lots of history and friendly people

I visited Prizren in July 2015. It’s a small city which has combination of mountain view, river, well planned houses and roads as well as all other amenities that a modern vibrant city should have. All famous restaurants are located near the river side. The city is an hour distance from Prishtina, capital city of Kosovo. You will surely feel more buoyant in such picturesque city.

Best place for history and near the center

Küçük ama Arnavut Birliğini anlamak ve kısa tarihlerinde ne gibi zorluklarla karşılaştıklarını öğrenmek için iyi bir durak. Prizrene gittiğinizde mutlaka uğramalısınız. Etnogradik malzeme bizim herhangi bir köyümüzdeki malzemeler kadar fakat yapmak istediklerini anlamak için iyi. Özellikle kadın kıyafetleri çık güzel. Kuzey güney doğu batı taraflarında farklı kıyafetleri görebiliyorsunuz.

During the late 19th century the city of Prizren became a focal point for Albanian nationalism and here it was founded in 1878 of the League of Prizren, a movement which organized and supported the national unification and liberation of Albanians within the Ottoman Empire.

Bardzo ciekawe miejsce. Wspaniałe widoki. Polecam wycieczkę z przewodnikiem można wtedy dowiedzieć się wielu ciekawych historii o mieście i okolicy. Eksponaty również bardzo ciekawe świetnie odzwierciedlają historię tamtych czasów. Miejsce to znajduje się blisko starówki.

Very appealing place on the history of Albanian efforts

Unique. Something I had barely heard about.

On a day trip from Pristina and this was my first stop.The lady selling the tickets was more interested in preparing her coffee Thank selling the ticket or providing information.Went in and looked and the paintings and other exhibits it couldn’t make sense of it because there was no description.Returned to the ticket office to ask for a information leaflet or a guide but the door was locked and she was sitting outside having coffee with someone else.Asked if there is an information leaflet or a guide and she looked annoyed at me and then pointed to her “coffee” mate. She told me that the guide is free but not available on Tuesdays.I left disappointed.Entry is only EUR 1 so at least it wasn’t a waste of money.

Historical place which bares significant importance for Albanian nation. It hosts many visitors on daily basis. Visiting the site offers you many information about Kosovo heritage and culture. In this place are exhibited many artifacts, handmade tools, traditional costumes and many other interesting things that are related to early history of Kosovo and Albanian nation.
