Buhairah Corniche Road, Khalid Lagoon - Sharjah - United Arab Emirates, Sharjah
Lagoon island featuring a butterfly house, modern art, a book pavilion, a cafe & a playground.
Its a good place to visit once. There werent many butterflies in the garden but we got to see few. Also we got to take photos as butterflies were sitting on u quite frequently. Other attractions are fun as well for kids. It looks lovely when the lights come out.
Cute little island, very quiet and peaceful environment. Giving 4 start because of the entrance price. I think 35aed is a lot for such little island, otherwise amazing place.Do visit on cloudy days or in winter. It could get too hot in summers 🥵🌡️
A good place to spend some time but there is not that much to do. The main attraction is the “butterfly room” wich we found so small and not as expected.
Al Noor Island was a nice place to visit with kids and family. There were more than 22 species of butterflies which where imported from South East Asia. Getting to Al Noor Island is very easy as its located in the corniche. Key attractions in the Island are : 1. The Butterfly House, 2. Childrens Playground, 3. Literature Pavillion , 4. Cactus Garden, 5. Gleaming Meadows, 6. Maze Garden, 7. Trampoline Pathway, 8. Edgar Tezak Sulpture, 9. OVO Art Installation, 10. Wind Images Flags, 11. Fossils Rock, 12. Columns Sculpture, 13. Torus Sculpture, 14. The Swing and 15. Noor Café. There is parking slots available before the entrance and the tickets can be brought at the entrance. When I went it was evening in the weekend and there was no crowd. We have to walk from the entrance and I suggest visit the butterfly house first coz it will close at 6.00 p.m
Visited Al Noor Island this summer, month of August. Gladly they have summer promo so ticket cost 35 instead of 50 for adults. Lovely to be around the butterflies and just want to commend Mark for his service! Very friendly, polite and helpful. He took good photos and videos too! He is the perfect example of excellent customer service. Overall, we had a good experience and definitely will go back again on winter.
This place is an absolute must visit. It is a complete transformation from the city we live in. With the bird and water noises surrounding us it was an absolute great 2-3 hrs of fun time in there.
According to Keralites no need for butterfly garden. We can touch from Kerala….. anyway super experience. We enjoyed the rope set up as an isb camp of infinity qnet. Best island surrounded by Sharjah buildings
Wonderful place to visit in Sharjah with the marina walk experience. They have got a beautiful mosque and a big park before the entrance. Take the ticket from the entrance gate and walk through the bridge to a beautiful world. Butterfly park is the main attraction. Kids would enjoy. You could walk through the island which has got plenty of lights and hidden speakers to enjoy the forest music. Plenty of plants to enhance your visionary experience. Many domes and seating arrangements. Clean toilets are also available. There is a cafe near the butterfly park.
It has a beautiful bridge connecting it to the Al Noor island. There is pretty much nothing to do in the island other than the visiting the Butterfly park.It had 4 varieties of Butterfly when we visited and it was fun taking pics with them. Not value for money.Instead we can visit the Dubai Butterfly Garden.
Very good place for spending time with family in sharjah. Small island with nature beauty. Evening time is the best time fir visit there. 25 aed for adult ticket and 10 aed extra you have to pay for butterfly garden visit.
Very nice place, must visit if you love greenery 💚☘️🌿Location is easily accessible using your own car or rta bus facilitiesTickets available at counters without queue and prices are AED 25 without Butterflies 🦋 place and with butterflies 🦋 place its AED35I recommend to choose full package AED35 if kid’s with you 😍Along with Noor Island 🏝 most beautiful Al noor mosque 🕌 located near it and big green park as well, visit in evening only to enjoy nightlight of sharjahStaff is very professional and helpful they serve’s 💯 of their skills to make us feel happyAt the end, its a great place for photographers 😀🙌Points can be improved are - they can have sone indoor game activities for kidsThankyou 🙌
Very beautiful man-made island . There is ticket to enter the island . They have different packages . I took with butterfly garden . And 50 / head for adults and I guess 35 for children. Very nicely done . Looks like dense jungle. They have various activities for children . Rope climbing, maze with plants , jumping etc. They also have various variety of trees and plants and also cactus 🌵 garden . They also have a restaurant inside with very reasonable prices . You can easily spend 2 to 3 hrs exploring the island . Overall Very nice experience. Only for me ticket price felt a little bit higher.
I would suggest visiting this place in the winter because it is outdoorIf you want to try food in the cafe better buy a ticket that includes food. I think its economical that way. Btw, the food served there is yummy.
Decent small islandOne can spend for 2 hrs with scenic locationsBest time is to visit from 4 pmButterfly house closes at 6pmFood is costly inside the cafe of island
Its a wonderful experience. Lovely landscape and and small but nice butterfly garden, cafe. Nice for a 2-3 hour activity with kids to explore nature
With friends and family (8 Adults and 1 Children), we had a short stop at this small man made island in Sharjah. The entrance ticket costed AED 35 for adults and AED 25 for children over 3yrs old. We skipped the butterfly farm as it had a closing time of 6 pm. The rest of the island was nicely landscaped with plenty of birds and some exotic plants. Nice place for some great pictures. The childrens play area was small with a rope park and a trampoline. They too have a cafe serving drinks and food for a additional cost.If they can offer a free boat ride with the entrance ticket purchase, it would be cost effective for visitors.
A great place for family and kids. The island is kind of smaller than many parks in Dubai or Sharjah but has much greenery. A little crowd will make the place full. The kids will enjoy the place for sure with adventure ropes play area and trampoline, butterfly park and paid coloring sections. Overall a good place to enjoy!
This place is amazing. The vibes is so peaceful and quiet. The place itself will give you positive energy and a wonderful connection to Nature. Lovely place and staff.
A simple place to visit when you are tired of the busy streets.I went in the evening so, The butterfly House was closed when I arrived, so I had to take a look at the other attractions to name the few:-A Tree trunk turned in to a rock (35million years old),-A Crystal over 300million Years Old
Al Noor Island just one of the best hidden gems in UAE which located in the Emirates Sharjah. The experience has been wonderful. We got an amazing deal through Groupon. There is ample amount of parking beside beautifully built Noor mosque. The location is very apt and the scenic beauty is so mesmerizing to watch. With natural sounds of birds chirping across in the island to the sharps voices of the water hitting the shoreline is a treat to watch and relax. Its a complete mood rejuvenation with so much of calmness yet beautiful across. There are washroom made inside the island. Also there is a butterfly park inside the island which need to buy extra ticket or comes in different package. There is also a guided tour in other packages but we didnt opt for it. There is a cafeteria which is a bit expensive. Overall its a must go place for natures lover who want to have some peace and tranquility...
I have nothing but praises to this beautiful natural island. The ambience, the food and the staff most of all are all amazing! The ticket price is cheap for this place even the cost of their food is surprisingly affordable as well.Mark who served us the food is so kind to even give us a little information about the island. If you spend from morning til night you will never get bored. Best to visit the butterfly house in the mornings as they are active. View their romantic light features at night.Happy to have visited with my family. What a way to enjoy our weekend!
Beautiful place with butterfly garden, birds and greens. Artificial island full of plants, big park for walk and rest on the bench with birds songs.
I just want to share how fascinating our experiences inside the island of noor. This is the place to have fun and relax with friends after a long and tiring day at work.. We would like to say thank you to Mr. Hany Moustafa for accommodating us.
actually this is the my second time to go to this island. I just didnt have a picture at first when I went because I was amazed at the beauty and wondered how they could make such an attraction in the middle of the desert, so it would be better to bring my brother, sisters and children to enjoy and appreciate such an attraction similar to land where I was born. Everything of this experience was possible from the help of Mr. Hany Mustafa ❤ thanks to you, we appreciate it..
Noor Island is good peaceful place to spend time with family on weekends, gives a natural feeling of forest with birds and their sounds, It would had been more good if the beach shore is accessible for visitors with lots of benches or chairs. Its a place where you can take lots of photos with your loved ones.Over all nice experience 4/5
Best of nature, but dont expect anything outstanding. No place to sit and relax in nature. If there is any way to sit and relax, it will be the best place to experience the nature.
Lovely island, a great getaway from the city to immerse yourself a little in nature. Once you are done with the island walk don’t forget to visit the butterfly garden and interact with these amazing insects.
A wonderful place to relax and unwind. Literally a heaven in UAE, a lush green man made island with different species of plants and birds amidst the busy cityscape.Things you can do here?1. Butterfly garden with wide varieties of butterflies with which you can spend a good amount of time. you will be able to see butterflies in different lifecycle.. caterpillars, pupa, full growns. if you are a parent your kids will love this place. they will give your kids color books for drawing n all here.2. A walk through the island exploring the artistic structures, varieties of plants while listening to the melodious chirping of birds. A total stress buster.3. By the bay dinner. (i will post the pictures here. you tell me how it isThis is the best option while exploring the island. you will get all access to island+ skywatch+butterfly garden + fabulous looking insta postable and delocious dinmer experience. And if you book this during light fest which is on feb this year, get a free firework experience by the bay.. Sounds amazing isnt it...just wait till u see it for real.4. Guided Nightwatch by the experienced and hilarious staffs. For me it was Mr. Swamit who is very knowledgeable. With his guidance you will explore the sky and find amazing facts about stars planets and the moon. I have posted a photo with him so you know who to look for. And he did take few awesome pics for me.5. The bay is all yours read a book or listen to the waves hitting the shores.6. Nightview of the islands with amazing lights placed all over. And heres a free tip from me... Go by 4 pm and start exploring. Stay till 10. You can see all phases of the island. and if you are interested in skywatch, go on a day with clear sky.
Fantastic man made island at Sharjah 👍 entrance ticket is 35 AED, Butterfly garden experience ticket is 15 AED, But I would suggest you to buy Noor Cafe ticket if you plan to have a refreshing meal inside noor Island. In AED 65 you get Entry ticket and yummy food for it. Very much value for money. On an average you will need 2+ hours to visit this place. It would be nice if you visit this place by 2 to 3 pm during winter season and return by 6 pm so that you can see the experience the beautiful birds humming sound and lights will be lit up.
So beautiful and fun! The grounds are well maintained and green. It includes an obstacle course park, trampoline pathway, garden maze and butterfly garden. It was a great way to spend a few hours outside in perfect winter weather.
Amazing architecture ✨ beautiful garden 🪴 great in good weather ☁️ but the butterfly room was not worth paying 15DH more than the entrance fee which is 35Dh it should include in the main ticket✨✨
Al Noor Island is tacked in the city of Sharjah along corniche area. We were amazed first by Al Noor mosque and the long bridge connecting the island ang mainland. When we reached the small island, we were surprised by the structural design of the al noor cafe. The captivating OVO art, an egg shape structure. I would recommend to dine in at Al Noor Cafe and get the best service from the helpful and entertaining staff there special mention to Marc. He gave us a short and interesting story and beauty of the island. Al Noor Island is worth the visit. And highly recommended.
We went on a Saturday morning and had a wonderful time. The butterfly house was small, but just big enough for my two toddlers to enjoy walking around, chasing butterflies. There was plenty for the kids to see and do. It felt like we were exploring in a forest. My only wish is that they had a better playground for little ones. Its more of an obstacle course of ropes and my kids were too little. But we will definitely be going back. Also, great value for money.
One of the best place to visit both during evening and night. During day light view of the park is different than during night. Both views are spectacular. All birds make noise during sun set and one must not miss it. I thought its coming from loud speakers but no its real.
Al Noor Island is a nice place to go. The best time to visit will be in the evening. Choose a time when you can experience both daylight and nightlight 😊. So that you will have an amalgamation of birds chirping and sunset. Both time gives you different experiences. It is a self guided tour and also charges 30 or 35 and extra for butterfly house which will be closed at night. Night vision is filled with beautiful light works which is a feast for our eyes. The dark pathways gives another feel at night with mysterious birds (mostly sleeping and restless myna, crows, and sparrowsand trees on the go. We enjoyed our evening visit. Planning to Explore more at daytime 🥰.
A beautiful place for nature lovers, itis like stepping to a different dimension in the middle of jungle, really long walking distance with different nice tips of informations here and there. It was fun for me and my 2 kids. It was a Rainy day when i went there. So it was double fun. Very friendly staff. The food in the cafeteria can use some improvement.
The land is beautiful with few treasures around . Butterfly house is exciting especially for kids to touch the butterflies but too small and hot. Some butterflies are idle or with torn wings. The self guided tour ticket means only that you walk through the island and I personally find that 35 DHS for adult ( 20 for childis too much for a tour that takes only 15_20 mins. The butterfly house is not included in the ticket , for which you have to pay 15 dhs extra for adults and 10 DHS for child. The café also seemed expensive. They provide colouring sheet for kids for 5 Dhs per sheet.
A good place to spend time with nature and water body, also to learn the life cycle of a butterfly. Will take around 2 to 3 hours to visit all areas of the island. Parking is paid. Pets are not allowed.
Amazing experience!Brilliant piece of natural conservation. Kudos to Shrooq. A must visit place, especially during the winter months to be able to enjoy every nook and corner, full of great pieces of nature as early as 300 million years old . Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff special mention about Mark who went beyond our expectations to educate us with his quizzing and pictures about the history of the Island and the all its sections, installations and elements. The icing on the cake was the butterfly garden section which boasts of some of the rarest species of butterflies. All in all a great way to spend your time with your families and friends , enjoying and learning hand in hand.
Its a very calming and peaceful place. Not too big area-wise but still gives a feel of being in a small forest, far away from the city. A good, affordable place for a day trip. Loved the swing. The butterfly garden is small but cute and has many varieties of butterflies compared to the size and even the price of the big butterfly garden on the other side of Dubai. All in all a good place. Pls note that some areas are blocked and under maintenance/ construction. There is a kids play area which was good. The best thing was it was not too busy. We went in the morning and left by afternoon.
A small island located in the Sharjah, UAE, which is connected to the mainland with a bridge. One have park the car on the mainland, but tickets and walk over the bridge, approximately 200 meters to reach the island. There is a butterfly house, a tiny one with very few butterflies. Also you can have a tour on foot through the island, with the help of island map on the pamphlet. The walkway is made of wooden planks and its good to have a walk through the island amidst the greenery. The butterfly house will not be an interesting thing for adults, especially if you had been to Dubai butterfly garden. Well, kids might enjoy the sigh of butterflies.
Its a huge Island specially for those who love nature and enjoy quite surroundings. To be honest it doesnt have much other than plants and a sea view. However we went to see butterfly garden, and loved it. I personally feel it should be included in the ticket and not priced separately. Not have much activities for kids other than a jumping area and butterfly gardenTicket price for Island = 35 AedButterfly garden= 15 AedKids under 3 are free.
Definitely a must visit if you appreciate the beauty of nature. Al Noor Island has a host of natural features which makes it a perfect tourist attraction. They have a indoor butterfly venue, cafe and egg structure with the beautiful sunset views. I highly recommend everyone to visit this one of a kind tourist attraction.
Near to Buhaira Corniche. A lot of trees and birds. No sounds of city. Not much rush. Spend time in the night also, they have some good lights. Dont expect much area for kids, like parks(I believe I didnt missed any secret spot). Kids will enjoy the trampoline path and if your kids loves adventure, try the play area with ropes. They have some collection of trees and fossil rocks. Give a try in the maze garden. Carry water and snacks. Public parking available. I didnt tried the butterfly house, so cant comment.
Amazing place to relax and bond with nature! Best for families. The kids would really enjoy the place. Even us adults were greatly fascinated by the butterflies. The swing has a nice view of the city. It’s like another realm in the middle of a busy urban world. The sound of the birds chirping gives you this sense of relaxation. The cold breeze eases any tension and the green surrounding takes the stress away. Hopefully they will maintain the serenity of the place and complete the other structure like the pavilion. Will definitely come back here again! 😊
Great place to spend a few hours with family. Evening time is best due to climate conditions. Archie from Butterfly House was very knowledgeable and taught us about all the different species, thier origin and lifespan.Cafe is a bit overpriced and average in taste.
This is a must go place in Sharjah. The lighting were extraordinary during the night. The butterfly garden experience was awesome and a must try in this place. The butterflies were colorful and so lovely and you can get to hold them if you are lucky. It is a place I would visit again if I get a chance.
Beautiful Island ❤ The ticket was 35 dhs and they had a summer promotion we could enter the butterfly park with the same ticket. Beautiful island, very very very clean, very professional, sweet and polite staff. It is definitely worth a visit. A lot of picturesque places and a lot of education in the form of an island ❤Must go 👌
1Nice place to visit in winter season only.2ticket is better to buy online from any website which offer lesser cost. ( adult person 35 aed is minimum ticket cost for per head )3despite online ticket your are bound to stand in Q, which is disappointing.4nice garden before entrance for relaxation5ample of paid parking available.
Great place to enjoy the nature. So impressed with all the integrated elements, big and small. From the beautiful greenery and "the dropped into a lush forest" experience filled with gorgeous butterflies at the butterfly house to the maze, fossil rock exhibits and other art installations all around the island. Hats off to the government and the Al Noor Island team for protecting the natural flora that existed on the island and turning this desert island into a little green paradise.Since most of the experience is outdoors its best to visit during good weather.
