Al Kabob - Lebanese restaurant in Sterling Heights, United States
Really rude manager/ owner. Kept calling me the wrong gender even when corrected twice. Will not be returning.
I GO HERE ALL THE TIME. This place helped me lose 75 pouns. The Lebanese salad with chicken is not only HUGE but its DELICIOUS. Great falafel, lentil soup, and shawarma. Best in the area. That says a lot because there are a ton of Mediterranean restaurants in the area.
Amazing food at very reasonable prices. The best chicken shawarma in metro Detroit. Tender and nicely seasoned. Awesome fattoush salad with chicken. Fast, friendly service. A+
Quality food, this place never lets us down. We order often and they know exactly what we want when we order. Its a small family run business and they care about making quality food to make sure you come back for more!
BEWARE!!! Bought food and was charged more than the menu stated. When we questioned them, their response was "well our price is now market price and we think what we charged you is fair....we ordered new menus but we have not gotten them yet." You can not charge a different price than what your menu states!!
Their food has flavors & comes in big portion. Staff are amazing. One of my favorite place to eat.
I stopped in for carry-out menus for anyone I was working with to have options try this place and the owner was very nice and friendly. Delicious food great price.
Best Mediterranean food around town. Hands down best Shwarmas in and near Sterling Heights! They really load up the sandwiches and don’t skimp. Will forever come back
When I had to change my diet this is my go to placeEverything I ordered is always delicious and the staff is awesome I ❤️ Them
Food is always amazing, fresh and delicious. The family that owns the place is extremely helpful and kind. Been coming here for years. Deboned chicken is the way to go!
The best food on the planet!!! Great prices also! Must try.
Hidden gem. Been coming here for years. Family owned and operated. Honestly surprised to see 0 star reviews. Never had a problem. People love leaving reviews only when they have a bad encounter. Fattoush with grilled chicken & their chicken lemon cream chop sandwiches are my favorite. Thank me later
They give you ALOT of food for a decent price. The food is always really good!!
Amazing food! Tastes great. The sandwiches are the best!
I been scared to leave a review here. I use to love and praise this place. I called and was trying to creat an order for the fam and the guy got upset and rude with me. Husband grab the phone and hung up. I was shock as I was a loyal customer and still don’t get why they got so rude.
I have been a customer of Al Kabob since it was the former restaurant, Beirut Palace. Me and the gents I go with love the food, the people, and the atmosphere. There is nothing like being treated like family the second you walk in the door, for example we walked in at 7:40PM on a day they closed at 8:00 PM, we tried to be respectful and said we could leave or order take out, they were so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed while we sat and ate dinner. This review is not going to be like all my others with pictures, because I always get the food and start munching, the meal is always so amazing. All in all I would recommend Al Kabob to everyone in the area.
Thought Id found my new fav restaurant. Then I picked up 2 dinners to share with a friend. I was so embarrassed. The salads were made of rusty lettuce and the "tomatoes" were off white n yellow! Never again!
I love this place, great people, great food. Every dish I have Had at AlKabob is great, the restaurant is clean, and you are always greeted with a smile and made to feel like you are family.Steve H.
Ordered from this place twice in a row. I really had high hopes. I looked around, the place was clean like I like. The service was absolutely amazing. I Ordered lamb chops. The first time I ordered them well done. They were like rubber, but they honestly have the best humus Ive ever tasted. Based off the humus, I decided to give them another shot. This time I tried the chops medium well, hoping it would help with the texture. The lamb chops were still extremely rubbery. Im almost certain it wasnt halal. Ive never had halal taste like that.
I stopped in for late lunch carry out. I called from the lot and ordered. Fast service and the owner was very pleasant. The soup, shawarma and fries were all freshly made. They put in a small side of the freshest pita Ive had Im a long time. Packages nicely for the drive with all that is needed to eat away. Id make the drive out of my way to come back.
This is by far the best place to eat over and over again. Family owned and operated, they go out of their way for you time and time again. Best place to eat from NEW YORK TO CALIFORNIA! That aint no joke!!!
Best Lebanese Kabob in Metro Detroit area. The people’s work there are awesome. If you like Mediterranean food this is the best place to go and affordable price.
Growing up, my neighbors were from the middle east and making some classics like falafel, grape leaves, baba ghanoush and shish tawook. Thus start of my culinary trip. Now, Mediterranean food is part of my diet. The reason I started out saying this is because the chief made his grape leaves just like Mrs. Hartunians..... Fantastic! You wont be disappointed!
I showed up for a Grubhub pick up accidentally told the owner the wrong order name and instead of him just saying no I don’t have that one he told me ‘You need to learn how to read before you to Grubhub’.Heaven for bid A fellow human makes a mistake he didn’t have to be rude to me. Don’t ever eat here I don’t care how good the food is if they don’t treat you right you deserve better
Sooooo good. Our company orders from here frequently. Always fresh. Always on time. The chef is always polite and thanks us genuinely for our purchase. Glad to find the Gem in michigan.
I was craving an Arabic food so I searched an found this location and ordered to go,i got there at exactly 9:30 pm in my mind and in all places when u walk in,the owners greet u with a welcome and a smile, but this owner greet it me with an attitude and yelling and saying that I’m so late I was so surprised I felt like He knew me.Very bad customer service I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The food is some of the best in the area for Lebanese cuisine. Some places are too salty but this place does everything perfectly seasoned. We always get the daily special (takeoutwhich is a chicken dinner with rice and salad. The chicken is always highest quality and hummus is the best! One dinner feeds 2-3 people. They don’t skimp on the bread or garlic. There are some tables for eat in and the place is very clean and maintained nicely. The chef and other staff is super super friendly and genuinely appreciates your business and want to make their customers happy. Hope this family business prospers for many years to come this restaurant is absolutely wonderful!!
Good menu, friendly service and delicious food. Restaurant was clean and food smelled great. Great for a quick bite or a nice casual dinner with friends or family
I go here for lunch almost everyday. The Lebanese salad with chicken and feta is my go to. The owner is nice and friendly and the service is fantastic!
Excellent restaurant. Its very clean inside and feels like a great place to bring family. The food is delicious. I usually order the super sandwiches just cause it has a bunch of stuff with amazing flavor. They prepare meals quickly.Best part is: the food is halal.
been here 3 times, every time the food is hot, fresh and delicious. I was waited on quickly and usually served in about 10 to 15 minutes. Heads up they do get pretty busy around lunch on weekdays.
Watched cook come from outside, handle his cell phone, move a bucket to the back room and start cooking without washing his hands. FYI.... he walked past the wash basin multiple times on his way to start my order. I wont eat the salad that his hands touched.
Called in a carryoutPoliteKindThoroughOrder was ready when I arrivedThe meat was medium rare and tender as requestedThe hummus was absolutely unique and wonderful.4/5 🌟 as I thought $10.50 was a little on the high side for a lunch special. And certainly would have liked a little more vegetables then the one spoonful supplied
Amazing food! Very great service and family ran. Would come every day if I lived closer!!
The staff and owners are so nice and accommodating, and the food is amazing!! I had a party catered by them and received many compliments on the food. Will definitely eat here again and highly recommend.
Good quality Lebanese food and fair prices. Service was great and the place was very clean. Lunch specials available. We came for dinner and got meat shawarma plate and chicken galaba. Meat shawarma was good quality beef and both plates had good portion size.
This is fresh, healthy authentic food cooked to order. The portions are generous and the flavor is amazing. Good service, always clean, now delivering with grubhub. Salads are banging! Love this place.
My family LOVES this place! We usually order the chicken shwarma dinner. It is around $15 and feeds 4 of us! You get grilled chicken (super tasty and moist chicken), rice, and a big salad. Ive also had their lentil soup, baklava, hummus, and shwarma sandwich. All were delicious!
Food is very good. Service is super friendly. The restaurant is clean. They cook the chicken perfect everytime . Never dry! Pricing is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. And you must try their smoothies yummy!
Alex is a phenomenal chef. This place seems to do a lot more take out business than dine in, but it is worth it either way. The lemon sauce was made to order and the rice was so good i could see myself going past several middle eastern places to go to beirut just based on that alone. Smoothies were on point, and so was the baklava. This is not to be taken lightly THIS IS THE BEST AROUND.
Awesome home made Greek dressing, Greek salad with chicken was amazing. I have also ordered food from here for a party and everyone loved the food
Has some of the BEST food. Ive never had anything bad here. Super friendly staff. Just amazing.
This place is amazing! Great staff, great good, great prices. The person named Tanya Young that gave it 1 star needs to get a damn life. Keep up the good work guys!
The greek dressing is second to no one. And the greek salad with chicken is amazing!
I came here for a late dinner on a Friday night. I was promptly seated at the bar and ordered a combination plate with chicken shawarma, kibbeh balls, hummus, and tabbouleh with grilled vegetable and clam chowder soup. The soup was bland. The grilled vegetables were decent. The kibbeh balls were decent. The chicken shawarma, hummus, pita, garlic spread and...
My favorite Mediterranean restaurant in town. While they do not bake their own bread, the food makes up for it to me. I really like the service as well.
waiter tried to argue with me on why I didnt like the stuffed cabbage. it tasted like hot salty watery meat juice, added rice and just rolled into some over cooked cabbage leafs. no flavor at all. I was about to order something else but after his attitude I just decided to pay gave him a nice tip, cut my loses and promise myself NEVER AGAIN.
DELICIOUS FOOD! Out of all Lebanese restaurants I have been to, this is by far my favorite. Their chicken cream chop sandwiches and even their soup is mouth-watering! I WITHOUT A DOUBT, RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE. It is great for small gatherings and also an amazing family restaurant. If you ever want to try something new or want a different restaurant, this is the place! The only thing is that at the 15 and Dequindre location, I was about to walk in but stopped because I heard people screaming. When we went to ask them if they were fine try told us not to go in because they saw a huge roach in the table. That disgusted me but we ended up at a different location
The best Lebanese food outside of Dearborn. My Dad was their first customer at their second location when it opened almost 30 years ago and has been taking me to all of their various locations ever since and we still love it. Excellent authentic food at great prices you cant beat it.
I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana where we know good food. Beirut Palace in Sterling Heights, MI is the first place I stopped for a meal when I arrived in town. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is beautiful and quaint, with comfortable seating. My family in Louisiana will be coming up in June, and I look forward to bringing them here to eat.
