Al Horreya Cafe - Bar in Al Jizah, Egypt
Al Horreya Cafe in Al Jizah
Description
Authentic bar with interesting atmosphere. Lots of tourists and different people. Females welcome.
MoreWaiters are OLD and Cold Spirirt as well?!?
i still dont know how i should feel about this place but one thing Im sure of: Milad is hated by everyone here
MoreTo the left from the entrance is the part for tea lovers, to the right for beer admirers and smokers...cheers!
MoreA nice get together ☺️Feel good 😅
Nice view to Tahrer square also nice music but its to loud
Nice, traditional coffeehouse. Beer lovers get Egyptian Stella beer here. Affordable prices. Nice staff.
MoreLegendary spot! Dont expect much but what it does it does great.Cheap beer, good convo, and chill vibe.
MoreThe worst stuff you can ever meet, unfriendly, non honest, no heigene.
Very unique and traditional Egyptian coffee shop. Nice coffee and tea. Good place for spending the afternoon for foreigners and have some cold Egyptian beer. Really good.
MoreOld cafe many foreigners go there at el falky Square.
The location of the cafe is the best thing about it , however the staff will keep pressing you to buy more drinks or leave ( not in a direct way of course ).
MoreOne of the oldest place in downtown ,they have beer, and other type of non alcoholic drinks,
MoreNice cafe, reminds me a little bit of the Czech beer pubs. 10/10
A perfect place to have delicious beer 🍻 with a good price and see some Egyptian Friendly Faces too 🤗 and maybe i will meet you there 😅😉
MoreThe are not Nagi about the time you spend with them. Feel free to set all day long.
MoreOk place to get some cheap drinks. One of my friend had a big backpack and another bag. The old cashier man refused our whole group saying there could be a bom inside. I mean for real?? We had to go all the way back and come back as a group again. The next time the same old cashier man wanted my ID. Its just very strange I pick this place for travellers to meet but 3 times he targets just me. From far he sees me and calls me out to create a questionable reason. Bad service!!!
MoreIts a very simple cafe. The drinks are reasonably priced in comparison to other places in Cairo. Its not much in terms of ambiance and the chairs and tables are pretty small.
MoreSmoke filled room, no ventilation, with unfriendly and dishonest staff. Old allure? Not really, it is backwards. The only positive thing is that you can have a beer in Cairo.
MoreNiiiiiice place really and good view and service .. hard and soft drinks you can set as zone to drink alcohol or set at zone not drank .. and nice memories in this place .. i recommend to visit it and try this advance .....💗💗💗💗💪💗💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💐💪💪💪💐💐💪💐💪💪💪💪
MoreGreat atmosphere. Cheap beer. The only downside to it is Milad, the waiter, who rips 10-20 egp off of you.
MorePeople watching here is a good glimpse of the local culture, grab a glass of tea/beer, I personally didn’t like the indoor second hand smoke but it’s part of its vibe (cover of the book uncommon)
MoreGood coffee cozy place service beer who like to drink
The staff are VERY RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL, they force to order and they rush you to finish your order to leave. The way they deal with customers is very bad that got to a level of harassing us and saying bad words. Definitely not recommend to visit.مكان سئ واللي موجودين فيه كحيانين
MoreLocated in Bab-Elouq in front of Falaky garage, Good local place to have local beers, they serve heineken beers as well, gets crowded on weekends, they serve limited cold carbonated beverages, coffee and tea, no shisha..Be aware of servant "Milad" he is very pushing on serving drinks and doesnt give you a break between bottles, so you will need to tell him to f@#$& off for a bit.
MoreOne of the oldest cafes in downtown cairoHuge cafe easy going to have coffee or tea cold drinks and the serve alcohol .The people are mix kind of people nice atmosphere not doggie underground bars .
MoreAmazing place, cheap beer and good mood!!! I like
Its a nice place to grab a beer and enjoy a historical place ... The staff is friendly and nice . and their prices are affordable . And never worry about parking there’s a guy outside who take ur car and give to u back when u leaving.
MoreThe 5-star rating is based on the great history of the café. The café is closed and no one around seems to know the reason. The florist claims its closed for renovations. The nearby fast food restaurant (Gadpretends to have crushed a big competitor and says its closed for good. The tobacconist kiosk says its a matter of days and that itll reopen soon. Lets hope it reopens because its a historical spot and its the only one serving cold beer. Cheers!!
MoreI love it, one of Cairos unique spaces serving beer at a local cafe style .. you will definitely live grabbing a beer there, but watch out the waiter keeps opening new ones once you are done ;)
MoreCentral and Good local bar, beer prices are fair ! 🍻
The best one place here in cairo to get along with total unknowns peoples and get some talk! Amazing! And delicious beer!
MoreOne of my worst experience in Cairo. The staff are VERY RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL, they force to order and they rush you to finish your order to leave. The way they deal with customers is very bad that got to a level of harassing us and saying bad words.Definitely not recommend to visit
MoreWhile the beer is cheap, the place could be a bit weird during rush hours with strangers seated at your table owning to the fullness of the place. Its noisy most of the time, but it gives a feeling of sitting at a local café which pairs well with the whole social setting of the place.
MoreThe place is nice and cosy, and always crowded and u always can find someone to talk to, people go there and they turn to be very friendly and nice and the place doesnt target a specific level of people actually it is visited by all types of people, dont expect any fancy treatment or a classy place, it is actually a local cafe that serve alcohol.
MoreOne of the most popular cafés and local bars in egypt.. Located in the heart of Cairo and downtown... Usually very crowded and busy... But the guy there will find u a place.... Even with a group of people sitting together.... Prices are inexpensive at all... Most expensive bottle worth 33 egp... The guy in there will never leave you without a bottle more than 5 minutes.. He will always get a refill.. Not for free off course... Not vat charges... When paying the cheque make sure to have the exact change...
MoreIts a good place to start off your night. Beer is marginally more expensive than retail value - which is excellent for a cafe - and theres plenty of it to go around. Just dont spend too much time on those chairs, its absolute torture on your back.
MoreThis is one of the oldest most authentic local bars of downtown. Still keeping its style, tables, high ceiling and this social vibe from decades ago. You can find local egyptians and foriegners having beers. There is also some other beer and ID choices. There is a separate area for non alcoholic cafe drinks.
MoreA really cool place I love its 40s interior specially the hight of the ceiling maybe they dont have the best drinks and gets crowded at night but its still worhty one of the best cheap places to gather at with friends in downtown
MoreOne of the few places in Cairo that sells alcohol and doesn’t cater to tourists. Reasonable prices for beer, from 31-37 Egyptian pounds or just under 2 USD.Not a high end place by any measure, but an authentic experience with locals drinking in a generally dry city. Two or three staff walk around asking if you want more beer. Pretty smokey inside too. Not a western bar either.Still, if you’re looking to see how locals drink and enjoy an authentic night drinking in Cairo, this is the place.
MoreGood place downtown Cairo for friends and late night. Not recommended for families and you would probably want to go there only for alcohol. Its also pretty much antique cafe from old Cairo.
MoreLocal setting, cheap beer, and a nice choice for a quick hangout. Place is usually crowded, too noisy, and very lame service. Selection of drinks is so poor and limited to local kinds of beverages.
MoreManage your expectations; this is a no-frills beer bar and cafe. They don’t serve food but there is a Gad restaurant right next door. This place literally has some of the cheapest beer in town outside of ordering it through the Drinkies app. It’s also not sparkling clean, but neither is almost everything in this wonderfully real city. Foreigners and locals mingle here...yes there are hipsters...but don’t let that deter you. This is a historic watering hole where people talk, imbibe in their drink of choice and escape the horrendous traffic outside. Come here to sit for a bit, people watch, and escape the touristy side of Cairo.
MoreIve been to this place practically every day for the past week. Stellas for 30LE (about 1.5USD). As a solo traveller, I just wanted a place to have a beer or two and get something to eat after. There is a fantastic shwarma place next door (GADand I have met other expats practically every night here. The service is quick and theyre always bringing more beers around. They have water, soda, and malt beverages as well as coffee for those who dont drink. Some reviewer say it gets too loud. It does get loud at night, but not so bad that you cant have a conversation.I will come to this place every time I visit Cairo.
MoreA good place for expats & foreigners to enjoy a beer and the local atmosphere, my problem is that it’s very loud, you can’t even hear your friends talk. And the service there is very formal. The guys don’t even smile. The place is always crowded but you can always have a place to sit. The prices there are very cheap a beer costs 30 LE and a coffee costs 7 LE, so you can have a drink there even if you’re broke.
MoreLocal watering hole. Popular with the downtown crowd, tourists, expats and a mix of locals. Staff hasnt changed in ages, go a couple times and youll be treated like a regular. Fun place to meet friends, it can get packed on the weekends. You can sip your beer, get your shoes shined and buy a newspaper. ;)
MoreA great place to spend a few hours enjoying the Stella beer and watching/listening to the world’s problems being analysed and solved. I always enjoy my evenings at El Horreya Cafe/Bar. Great crowd and very helpful bar staff. Really worth a visit
MoreNice cozy traditional Egyptian cafe that sells beer as well, good if you wanna grab a local beer and get a taste of the common Egyptian cafe .. not Starbucks style ones. Not air conditioned, not fancy or luxurious.
MoreGood beer, low prices and friendly people. Can get very crowded. You can bring your own food. You pay for any bottle on your table - so never chose a table with bottles on it.
MoreA nice place to meet with up your friends and others too.Loud, and noisy, but the atmosphere is so great, no one is going to bother you any how.Waiters arent so friendly, and kinda lazy sometimes.Over pricy these days, but im going to rate it as one of the best local bars in the downtown.
