Al Aseel Restaurant Penrith in Sydney

Whilst the food is decent on each occurrence that I have ordered from them todays experience is quite negative. Arrived at 8:30pm after looking up on the website for opening times and we were turned away stating the kitchen is closed. 8:30pm on a Thursday night and the kitchen is closed when the website shows open to 9:30pm is really disappointing.

This was amazing- beautiful service- delicious food- very nice and fancy to spend a night with family- food comes quicklyTotally would recommend

Al aseel is a very authentic middle eastern restaurant the food is tasty and reasonably priced and the staff are helfull and friendly .The restaurant is very clean with good modern decor .

If I could leave minus stars I would. Definitely the worse restaurant I’ve ever eaten at felt sick straight after it and ended up with food poisoning wouldn’t recommend it at all the food is very bad can’t say anything else and for the price make sure you get a loan ready.

been here a couple of times went last time for a birthday dinner with 14 others service was good, prices were reasonable

A great night out with my Wife and her Sister. Booked a table late where the person who answered the phone was very polite and accommodating. Waiter staff were very polite and helpful, food came out beautiful and fresh. Would recommend eating here.

Amazing and clean Lebanese restaurant with top notch service. We had the Feast banquet and was treated to delicious and generous portions of hummus, baba ganoush, Tabouli, fatoush, kibbe, sambousek, falafel, kafta mishwe, shish tawook, laham mishwe, batata bi kizbara and mansaf rice. Our kids also ordered off the kids menu which was great! We will definitely visit again soon!

Awful service. Took them 25-30 mins between serving kids and parents, Wasnt a weekend and restaurant was not even filled to half its capacity. Food tasted so so. Not a great experience.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences we have had by a long way. The staff treated us as family and the food is second to none.. I would give 10 stars if I could.. Fantastic in all ways

Ridiculously over priced, I ordered what I thought was going to be apx $158.00 from a takeaway menu, granted I have not bought takeway from Alaseel for apx 8 months. To our massive surprise the bill for takeaway again I must add came to $243.00 for 5 people.To say I wont go back is an understatement. When I questioned them they said we have had some price rises. For 2x lamb 2x chicken 2x meat skewers the price was $48 never ever again, this is a price rise of nearly double of what I paid last time.

Good Lebanese restaurant. A bit pricy but good ambiance and good for a big group or small group.

We haven’t been to al aseel for several years but used to be regulars. We returned recently and was so disappointed. Had to wait 10 minutes for a table despite having a booking. Tables were just left dirty whilst other parties waited for a table. They were obviously very short staffed as staff seemed run off their feet. Food took quite a while to come out. The food was delicious but we were shocked at the price increases since we’ve previously been (particularly for mixed plates - they used to be $20!!!). The music was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation and then was deafened when they put the happy birthday music on. Won’t be back again it’s just far too expensive to receive mediocre service and experience.

We have been there couple of times but the last time experience was very average due to the poor customer service. The food was ok. But no one attended the table on time and the guy (seems like the managerat the reception wasn’t easy to deal with all. Not sure we will go back there again!!

Only was to describe this place ... next level good in terms of food service and overall... if your looking a authentic Lebanese experience in the penrith area Alaseel is a must.. Served by JP, a very friendly kind gentlemen who made this visit one to remember.

Just wanted to leave a review because the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond. There was a small mistake with our order, and they bent over backwards trying to make it up to us. My partner and I were amazed with the customer service -- one of our servers was Gemma, who was very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. Thanks guys!

Thank you to Angel and the team at Al Aseel Jamisontown for the amazing service for my daughters baptism. Even though they were short staffed they went above and beyond. Food was amazing and service was 10/10

This Restaurant used to be Great, im not sure if they switched the owners but it has gone downhill from good quality service to worst service now, have to wait and call wait staff to take our order. the food was sitting in the window for ages till it was served cold on table. And staff wasnt even bothered to clear the table as we planned to treat yourself with Al Aseel Famous deserts.very disappointed with service, wont be coming back to this restaurant.

Nice sitting and good service. Food is below average. Mansaf chicken not proper mansaf. Just rice and very dry steam chicken breast and cinnamon powder on top!?? Im chef and I cook mansaf and had tried authentic mansaf in Jordan and its very different. Dips are okay mixed plate ok as well lack of spices and seasoning.

Great service and beautiful food! We particularly loved the chicken wings and the prawns. Absolutely popping with flavour and so fresh!

Food and atmosphere were fantastic. All the staff were wonderful and our waitress Gemma was exceptional and made our night one to remember. She was great at looking after all of us and especially our 3 year old grandson. My son had a superb 25th Birthday. Well be back for sure.👍❤️🤓

First time eating at Al Aseel, we got the Covid takeaway special and it was fantastic. The meal was fresh, hot and delicious. The service was excellent from placing the order to picking up. Well done we will be back next week. Highly recommended.

Thank you for making my graduation party so enjoyable and memorable! The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate all my guests. The food was amazing and presentation was outstanding. The staff assisted in setting up my balloons, cake and catering. They even gave me a complimentary cocktail and that was very generous! I definitely recommend this restaurant as it assisted in perfecting my event. Thank you so much!

Well suited to a group meal, where a variety of dishes can be ordered and shared between everyone. Portions were expensive, but you get a fair amount for the money. The food came out fast, but the service was a little slow in comparison. Its a tricky location to create a good atmosphere, but its well decorated - it was quite noisy however, even with only a few groups in there. The dishes are definitely a unique offering for the area, and I would recommend to anyone interested in trying out that cuisine, if only for the variety on offer and the lack of alternatives in the area.

Back in the game.. these guys are so good once again so fresh and the service is second to none. So good make sure you go of you have a function we loved it. Thank you to the staff and the manager took great care of us. Be back in a few days for sure

Great place and great food but unfortunately the service could be better the drinks take ages to order and receive. But the food definitely makes up for it. I can understand that this restaurant is busy they should have one dedicated drinks person or just put more staff on . The staff here really do try tho and the food is excellent.

This place has a reputation and its well deserved.The food is consistently great and always fresh.I mean my mum is impressed and always wants to go here. Mum grew up in India and shes never impressed with restaurants... especially with places where the mains are sitting in the mid-$30 range. She said it was worth it!Id only say that the service can be a bit lacking some days when its busy.

Food was ok but not as good as Itza. Also, overpriced and we didnt realise it until we got the bill. Serving sizes are ok but I didnt feel the costs were justified by the sizes.Atmosphere is ok with the booths and the curtains that make dining a bit more private from the table opposite us.Service was good by one particular young lady, the others werent as attentive. The food came out all at once but I did specify entrees and mains.Overall, worth going to but perhaps avoid a bit of indulgence to avoid bill shock. I.e. 4 soft drinks were $20, for a small bottle. And dips are $12 a pop. $310 for 5 adults and 1 child, with only a bottle of wine that cost $40, lets just say my bet on the bill was below 200!!

Had our Xmas party here. Top Lebanese food here. Nice beetroot dip which is unique. All nice dishes.

The restaurant is an infusion of ancient meets modern. Tastefully decorated. The food is identifiable as rich succulent authentic. Spinach triangles plus mixed platter. Where does one start. Mouth watering. There is always room for dessert. What better choice Rice pudding with Pistachio. One is transported in time with taste of Orange Blossom Water infused with the scent of Spring. Wonderful staff fantastic service and vibe all around. Well done!!! Five Stars Plus :)

The food was hot, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it. There was a young asian guy working was very helpfull to select the dishes. He looked after us thanks for the best service highly appreciated.

Had an amazing birthday dinner party at this restaurant the manager Rob was very helpful and very accommodating. Liz the team leader in charge, was very resourceful and friendly all my guest was thoroughly taken care of. Food was amazing and served promptly. I could not be more happy with my experience with the amazing team at Al Aseel.

Great food and is so funny when youre there on a Saturday night and its everyones birthday. They always have the birthday song playing. Is quite entertaining, makes me laugh. But yes, nice, fresh food. Only thing is its a bit on the pricey side.

Food and service was good, seating was comfortable but can be quite noisy on a Saturday night making it difficult to relax and enjoy a nice conversation.They had very loud music playing for about 20 minutes.

I had my daughters christening here last month and everything was perfect. The food and service were both outstanding as always. I have been to Al Aseel Penrith a number of times and have always been happy with my dinning experience, but I have to say this exceeded all expectations.The staff were all so friendly and willing to help and the service was very prompt. Adam the restaurant manager was AMAZING!!! He listened to all my requests and ensured that everything was perfect on the day. a huge Thank you to him and the rest of the staff! We are still receiving compliments from all our family and friends on the food!!!

Very big dishes and quite a loud venue. Service is good as is the food. Prices affordable and if you have a birthday and tell the staff everyone in the large restaurant will know about it. They play a very loud happy birthday recording and run through the venue with a desert carrying candles or a cake if you bring one! Not suitable for an intimate evening but great for parties or groups!

Beautiful fresh food and friendly, accommodating staff. Skewers were hot and tasty, salad was fresh and flavourful. Jug of soft drink is good value. Lots of space for large groups. Baklawa ice cream was a delightful treat!

Great food. Great atmosphere. We went on a Saturday night without a reservation and wondered if we would be able to get a table. It was really busy however they had us seated straight away and we were served promptly. Very generous serves and plenty of bread provided for the fabulous dips. Highly recommended. Well be back with the kids.

Amazing food and drink. The Lebanese rice is just delicious. My family enjoyed every dish. Pretty good vegetarian dishes too.

This place is awesome. It has such a good vibe and the food/service is amazing.Id happily come here again (only thing theyre missing is shisha).

We were a group of thirteen people. None of us liked the food. For 27 bucks you get only 3 skewers, one felafel, lil bit garlic dip and lil bit ghanouj. Which is way expensive. And every skewer had like only 3/4 pieces of meat. So basically you get very little to nothing. One of my friend had shawarma and he only liked the chicken, didnt like the lamb at all. My friend ordered one of the cocktails and she told me there was very little alcohol in it. The only thing everyone liked was mocktail sunset sensation and baba ghanouj dip. It was yum. Id give zero rating but giving two for the mocktail and the excellent customer service we received from the middle aged waiter. Cant remember his name. He was awesone and fun.

The food was great. Specially Great Vegetarian and Desserts options.
