The worst hotel i’ve been booked, no AC , no internet, no service room.

The food is good . Terrible experience! I didn’t sleep a wink last night due to the poor air conditioning! Plus the new people next room mistook my room for theirs and kept trying to open the door. Moreover, the location of the hotel is very bad. It’s on a busy street and the sound of traffic is in my ears all night not to mention the ambulance sirens! Im still staying in room 516 !! The staff doesn’t speak English and I had to communicate with them in gestures. Even the front desk’s basic English is poor. I asked the employee to hang on the phone but he hung up ! Upon my shopping spree, none of the staff outside had the decency to help me with my bags! A lady carrying lots of bags with a stroller! Excuse me ! This is common and basic polite behavior and totally unprofessional! I don’t recommend this hotel at all !

Bad treatment from the reception, the hotel is very old, the air conditioner does not work well, the pillows are bad and old and not a hotel, I would never recommend coming to it, the hotel does not care about the comfort of the customer at all, it does not deserve to be 5 stars at all

We were there last week. It should be 3 star hotel, the air conditioning not good, the bed legs were broken and not really clean and modern hotel, it was last refurbished 2003. There was no kettle no coffee and tea in the room .

Hotel wouldnt let you take food inside to your room asked them why, they said because it will cause a odour in the room but they allow room service with all types of foods. How does that work?😂

The first impression was very bad: although I booked 2 triple rooms for 2 families on their website 1 month before, after a tiring journey of about 12 hours, at 7 PM in the evening we were kept in the lobby for more than 15 minutes because the rooms were not ready. There are some things that seem outdated (the room window, the bath tube), but overall it was OK. Attention, it is a distance of 10-12 tram stops from the historical center (Sultanahmet)

Despite being 5-star rated, it doesnt feel like a 2-star.The staff are not helping at all.You expect great service in such a place but unfortunately you dont get it.They dont speak English ( not every one is Turkishits a 5- star hotel everyone should speak English to handle customers.Room service sucks.I was really really disappointed 😞☹️

You have to pay DAILY tips to house keeping in order to get the minimum of the requirementsOn my first day I put used towel in bathtub for replacement , but I was choked to find the wet and hanged inside the bathroom.I called front office and they send me replacement, next day the towels were Raleigh out repla , housekeeping guys says that there are not enough towel available in the hotel and guests can contact front office to send him towels btw front office also are dull tooThe breakfast is poor no egg station no instantly made waffles or crepes good awful orange jui (at least for my taste)The hotel have another breakfast buffet categorized as second class , of course no one says this name but it is exactly the caseThe try to push some guests to go there and the real problem is not know us it the hotel with touristic companies or it’s the company’s own problem, anyway I solves this problem after I told the touristic company that I’ll report s a case sat tourist police against the company ,the company rep office at Istanbul and the hotelAlso the air conditioner is very weekAnyway this hotel is very bad worst experience ever

Room was very small and the AC was very hot and dont have heater for coffee and tea also the reception not helpful. I think this hotel not 5 stars hotel.

A/C is not working, Ive stay for 4 days and those days I couldnt sleep, there is 100 degrees outside and inside is even worse, after the moving to different room on different level the problem is not solved. The rooms are not for 5 star hotel, I would say its 2 star motel, the only good things about this hotel is location (metro is nearby and good viewand breakfast (the same things every day, but its still deliciousthe stuff is really rude, after I asked to move to the different room the house keeping manager who was staying behind me and could listen to me speaking with lobby person started to complain about me in Turkish because she thought that I dont understand her, but I did.. dont recommend this hotel to anybody 😒 🙄

This is the worst 5 star hotel ever! I am begging you all to please not waste your money on this hotel. First of all. We booked 2x deluxe bedroom for 14 days. The rooms were very old. The bathroom door was broken en the bathtub was very dirty and had mold everywhere. The airco was very old and didn’t work at all. My bed was broken and I had to sleep the other side of the bed, because they wouldn’t fix it or give me another room. The matress had pee and bloodstains all over it. I have been to the reception 3 times a day and each time they would promise me to fix the room, but they wouldn’t.We would get 1 towel for three persons each day after cleaning. I had to call the reception EVERY DAY. This is not a five star hotel. The rooms are so dirty. And the breakfast is always finished by 9am. The location is near a metro and a hospital. You don’t have any shops or restaurants nearby, so we were very bored in the night.Please don’t waste your money on this dirty hotel. I have made videos and pictures of everything wrong with this hotel.

We had stayed 7 nights, the hotel style and construction is too old, air conditioning at rooms and restaurant is too bad, we were sweating whole night, Wi-Fi signal is very weak at rooms and when I told the reception they told me that Wi-Fi is good only in open areas, so you should have net in your phone, about the staff they were good except the receptionist were bad,Finally its highly not recommended

I am staying in room 817 and I am still staying until now and I want to record my comment. The hotel is very bad. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Very bad room. Two nights without air conditioning. The air conditioning is hot .. we can not sleep overnight After moving to another room, the air conditioning is still bad and hot, and the rooms are poorly ventilated. I do not recommend this hotel at all. This hotel does not have to be five stars

Tldr version we were only in this hotel an hour before we left it was so bad.The room was very aged and the air conditioning didnt work, when its colder outside than inside you know there is a big problem. Within 10 minutes of getting to our room we had discovered at least 4 things broken in the room like drawers, doors and handles. Immediately we decided we had to leave so much so so we cancelled our stay and left without having booked anything else.Obviously cant say much about the service and we werent there long enough to have any.Just avoid this place and book anywhere else.

Worst hospitality ever experienced!!!!AC is not cooling at all even after many complaints, they might turn it in for one hour after that then shut it down!!!!The receptionist solution was to call the agent and change the hotel!They need to be educated and taught the way of treating guests and hospitality

Worst customer service, every time i call for assistance nobody cares for my requests they are so disrespectful!!!, i am pregnant and i wanted someone to help me with my bags nobody came !They are racist as they do two breakfast lounge and distribute the guests into two category!! AC not working, rooms are dirty everything thing sucks about this hotel

Rooms are large but services are not very good.. Rooms have no wifi just in the main lobby.. Cleaness is avarage but not good... Location is very good due to near metro station... Breakfast lacking quality and diversity and many items are just plain bad

Terrible experience... the air conditioner is not working. The technician was not able to fix the A/C and the reception said the hotel is full we cant change your room but we can refund your money and you may search for new hotel.Note that I checked in at 12:30 noon and I reported that there is a problem in the A/C and once I came back to hotel at 11 PM I found that the problem was still exists. Simply it is Terrible service... not recommended at all.I ended up in opening the window to have fresh air... but unfortunately it is not safe for kids !!

Location is fine, Breakfast is not bad but has the following cons :- Air conditioning is so weak and doesnt keep up with the hot humid weather- mold on the bathroom air inlet- Room services just folds same used towels and put them back on the rack- same with used cups, room service just put soiled cups in place!!!

We stayed here for 8 nights. Room are comfortable, Buffet Breakfast has so many options and theyre are delicious.I have got issues with AC but the staff have quickly resolved the issue. Staff was indeed very helpful.The only thing I like to bring into hotel notice is to have a do not disturb flag at the door.

Very bad customer service I have ever received. Wi-Fi problems without solutions, horrible billows and duvets, only 3 lifts on the hotel (normal to wait for 10 mins to go up or down. Receptionists just receive calls but without any action. The only good thing is the breakfast. I am totally depressed. No value for money paid.

Our room was really old with stains on the bedset and carpet and the bathroom was moldy. The hotel is far from all the sights and even from the tram station. This hotel is max.3 stars.

Good location especially if you visit the expo center. For tourism, not so much, but still ok. Bus from the airport (line #12stops right in front of hotel. Metro line to expo center and to Aksaray (from where you need to take the tram to go to Sultanahmetright un front of hotel. Rooms are a little bit tired looking, in need of a refresh. Cleaning ok but also they need a through cleaning from time to time. But the good thing is that the size of the room was ok, and the mattress was comfortable. Not for the romantic type anyway. Pool was closed even thou 30C outside and the pool was filled with water, access just not permitted. Breakfast very very good, great variety and quality (the cheeses and olives are to die for!). Staff nice and courteous. Apparently they have a rule of not allowing food in the room which I found odd. Staff helped anyway. Their rooftop restaurant is a disgrace, lovely location with nice service but very overpriced food menu with the smallest shish kebab I have ever seen in Turkey (double the price then the restaurant just up the street).They could charge the same price but make decent sized portions. Go there just for drinks, dont plan on eating. All in all recommended!

Very bad experience 😕 it was hot 🔥 and air-conditioning was not working, very old furniture at rooms, everything was old and expired at the rooms stayed 2nights and I had run away even I booked for 1week.

Air conditioning is not blowing any cold air. Internet is good only in the lobby and there is no internet in the rooms and when I asked them! They said because the hotel is full. I stayed for 2 weeks and I would never ever stay in this hotel again. I don’t recommend it until they fix the air conditioning system and the internet system. Location is not good either. The only good thing about this hotel is clean.

No A/C, woke up in a pool of sweat. Rooms are mediocre clean, the floors are not clean, the food was not so great. No working wifi. Idk how you’re a hotel with no wifi. Overall wouldn’t recommend this place. STAY AWAY!

Before you book in this hotel make sure to call the hotel or booking hotel sites to find out because I booked 3 nights in this hotel may 16th to May 19th the AC is not working at all I called the reception and I told them that AC is not working and they told me the AC is broken and we will fix it soon they didnt even had fan next day I spoke with manager of hotel he told me same story but I think they lie to guests the rooms are extremely hot during days and nights so please make sure to find out about AC before booking

I stayed with my family for 4 x nights and had a very good stay in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. I would like advise the guest, If you have any issues with traveling/Taxi, please do speak to the hotel staff they will definitely help you.Thanks and RegardsZahoor AhmedBirmingham

We liked the following:1. Staff2. Breakfast3. Checking every evening over the phone if everything is good4. Walls are soundproofWe did not like the following:1. Location2. Inside prices3. You can hear everything from outside because the hotel is meters away from the main road

I had a very pleasant stay. Great customer service with friendly staff “who knows English”. Decent breakfast. Fair fare. Couple minutes form the train.

Hotel is good. Staff are excellent.Food in hotel is average. Breakfast lots of variety and you can order a special breakfast dish if you ask the waiter. Used the spa had massage that was excellent. Used their barbers for getting my beard etrugal style and wife had her hair done that was also good. Location isnt brilliant bit far from shops and restaurants.

The staff were professionals and very helpful. Guests Relations Staff are at the desk 24 hours, I appreciated mr Çetin for all efforts he did. Late check in and check out. Breakfast is international and quality was good. 300 meter distance to metro station.As a comment the 5 star hotel need a little renovation. AC didnt work.

I have shared my reviews before but this time we booked a suite room and loved it.. next time always a suite room in Akgun so long as I get it on offer😉

The staff were amazing and helpful however the bath in my room was a bit dirty. There was mold in the crevices of the sliding doors. The decor of the room was a bit outdated but the location is great. Its close to an area with lots of good restaurants as well.

Cleanness perfect, some of the room amenities needs some maintenance. The mattress is average. Location is not recommended for those who like shopping and night life. 20min by car average time to sultan Ahmet area and 30+ to taksim with normal traffic. The roof lounge has a pretty nice view.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel! A 3 star hotel at best! Air Conditioning does not work properly and even when it does it is only for certain hours of the day! So it "may" work for a bit between 9pm - midnight but after that it only blows cold air in the middle of winter for the whole night! It is unbelievable for a "5 star hotel" that the heater does not work and you have to sleep in the cold! And finally when they move your room they cannot find you a double bedroom but a twin! When you complain the best response is either "cancel your booking" or its is "because building is old!"If you want to book a 5 star hotel, avoid this one otherwise you will be disappointed. Only book this hotel if you are happy to sleep in a very cold room in winter! Staff dont speak English either so good luck with that too!
