Archeological finds, pearl trade history & weaponry on display in a restored 18th century fort.
Ajman Museum in Sharjah
Description
Truth saied: I havent planned to go there because I thought it would have been a kitch rebuilt building with some old weapons inside.Well fortunately I did gibecause this is a extremely good example on how to use at best the few you have to show. The museum is an extremely well done mix between multimedial experience and situative physically rebuilt explaining you almost everything about ancient life in the Emirates: from living in a fort to pearl /fishing, desert, hubt, medicine, markets....The reconstruction of the traditional souck ist AMAZING.2 minus points (the reason I took one star away)1every room is with air conditioning. Which is nice if you think outside there are 40° or more but.... The rooms ARE FREEZING! cmon!! Either you do not waht people to read anything or you kill them you can not have 30° temperature difference inside-outside2everything is labeled in Arabic and in englisch. Multimedia stuff (touch screenstoo. But there are some explanation video which simply loop... And those are only in Arabic. This is REALLY Really a pity because I think they would have been really interesting
MoreVery interesting! Loved the market room area, takes you back in time! Recommend!
The ambience with soothing arab music, best setup of ancient traditions, interactive knowledge & decent tech. Classy! Nice gem of a place! Not crowded and cheap. 5 dhs only for entry. Must visit!! Air conditioned insides.
MoreVery interesting history narrative. Well worth the visit. You can learn how a small fishing village came to be one of the important Emirates within the rest if the 7 Emirates, and its historical importance. The entry tickets are priced at 5 Dirhams, and no Card payments at the moment but cash only. Surrounding the area is a few traditional soujs and restaurants, still with the original olden days style. Would highly recommend taking that visit, just around 25 to 30 mints drive from Sharjah or Dubai.
MoreVery good experience going here its like very wonderful place to visit seeing culture of Arab how they survived what they do for living its like real presentation
MoreThe museum is beautiful and it is talk about past of ajman.

MoreBest place for chill out with friends and family. You can spend as well as have a chat with friends for a weekend with fresh air. Many families from different areas of UAE get together and visit here by taking photos of old history. There you will old precious things of ruled kings. Good places to spend weekends with friends and family.
MoreIf you want to explore Arabic culture from high level and know little history and custom of Ajman including royal family then you spend an hour or two and will know good details.
MoreExcellent experience, we have been to many amazing places, but this museum is something special. First, it is super authentic and immersive. You enter the traditional Arabic life, wondering around the open-air castles yard and entering pavilions with automated light, animation and audio and video guide. No human educators, no crowds. An hour before closing there were only two of us:)
MoreThe best place in ajman for best experience of uae
Amazing experience with great entry price. Kudo to the design team.
It’s all about Ajman’s history. Always good to visit such places. Great way to look some of the past Ajman highlights. Highly recommended. Ticket price 5 aeds per person.

MoreGood place to spend the evening and night . Traditional Arabian souq with collectables, hobby fishing equipments, fine traditional restaurants . The only thing missing in the museum is the museum itself which is closed indefinitely ever since the pandemic
MoreA good place to just walk.... The museums been shut down almost an yr... We cant do cycling there.. tbh, its kinda borin
MoreDespite everything indicating it was open I am here on Saturday March 26, 2022 at 10:30am and it is shuttered and says temporarily closed. The bus from Union Station in Dubai bus 400 was easy enough to take you use your Nol card 12AED. The museum area looked nice from the outside and there are shops and restaurants in the old fort style. 2 stars for not updating their status to closed.
MoreAll perfect, big portions, and amazing taste , athintic vibe, gave four star for the price , it is high , should have been cheeper. The price is compared to 5 star hotels
MoreYou can learn about history of Emirates. Some old culture & living style
Good place to hang out in the evening, but the museum is temporarily closed. Better get prior info if you’re planning to visit.
MoreOn my visit the museum was closed for maintenance, but Im sure its gonna be a great place to visit for tourists

MoreA place where arts and culture has been given importance. The architecture of the building says it all. The place exhibits lots of installations and works of various artist. The one outstanding work was of the corona virus being captured inside a cubicle. The Ajman municipality is conducting arts festival this week. It is located in heart of Ajman.
MoreBeautiful place having traditional gallery. We can see the collections of Coins and stamps over here.

Parking is available beside the museum .Kids play ▶️ area is there outside the museum. Restroom 🚻 are there for gents and ladies 🚺..
MoreVery cheap only 5 AED.Spent around 2 hours looking around. Really enjoyed my time. Not a super museum, but gives you a glimpse of how life was here.I especially liked the guns room and documents room and photos room
MoreA Heritage-style museum, based on what and how it was, what people needed to do to survive and how they simply accomplished it. Display of local trades according to each environment. Defending your dear ones, and all kind of stock is part of it, hence weapons.
MoreI suggest this place to everyone to visit once if your want to make your Ajman tour more important. Today was my first visit to Ajman Museum but i really enjoyed. I spend more than 2 hours to see all museum.
MoreWhen you visit Ajman... Dont miss there Ajman Museum... Just 5aed entrance fee... And its just walk away from the Bus Station. And Its A big Museum so it will take you more than 30mins to visit all the places inside the museum 😊
MoreAjman museum is located opposite Gold souq in Ajman... nice place for family visit and really worth watching it...
MoreAn excellent place to visit to see the background history of Ajman. Its not crowded that it really feels like going back through time everytime you enter to each room. The rustic feeling is there, though if youre the person who has issues to dolls and mannequins like me you better not go alone. The mannequins seems so real that some creeped me out especially that I was alone and at that time the museum is pretty much isolated. But then the museum lover in me is really satisfied and Ive really had fun. Will be beck again but Ill be bringing someone with me. Insha Allah. 😊
MoreNice place to enjoy with family or friend. We can learn and know about the history, and some information about Ajman and UAE. There are so many room that show us some things and statue and diorama. The archithecture also very good. And its easier to reach. The entry ticket just 5.25 AED. The place also clean, and well order. But maybe the renovation program is a little bit disturbing the view.
MoreReally well kept, curated and organized. A lookback into the great Arab cultures and traditions , mainly focused on the ajman-masfout areas. The entire museum is built in a converted fort.
MoreVery nice museum to spend two to three hours.Entry ticket is AED 5.25 for adults and free for kids
MoreIt is worth seeing when you are in UAE. Very silent location with sufficient parking. Entry fee is only Dhs. 4 for adults. It covers the history of Ajman and Middle East. A photo galary which covers the images of rulers of USE. The location is decided based on the archaeological observation while excavating this area for laying water pipeline.
MoreCollection of archeological artefacts, manuscripts, photographs, old weapons etc..A fascinating, amazing museum.. Must visit to understand arabic ancient lifestyle and culture...
MoreIt is a good place . U can experience a vintage feel of Ajman. Its amazing , it shows the amazing cultures and surroundings of UAE in the early 60s and 70s.If u are in ajman try to visit this place.
