A must do if traveling to Stokhilm. Sit at communal tables, enjoy music, entertaining staff, and pretty good food. The charcuterie board was interesting and good. You might need to be brave to try the reindeer heart. I had the salmon and enjoyed it

Excellent experience for tourists in Stockholm! Warm welcome by the staff and although it was quite busy we got served quite quickly. The portions are not viking-sized but the dishes were delicious and the meat was cooked to perfection (rosy lamb and medium rare steak). The mead was a bit too sweet but their beer on tap was really nice. The desserts were really good too!It was a bit difficult to eat with the viking cutlery, but it didnt stop us from cleaning the plates!

Once in a life time family dining experience. Incredible food, our little one spoilt rotten, treated like a true little viking. Service and atmosphere exceptional.

Food was okay but the experience was so fun!! You do feel transported to back in the day and the decor and vibe give off the Viking era. Mead there is great so I highly recommend if you like alcohol. It literally just tastes like apple juice.

Super funny place to go. The atmosphere is vibrant, the beers and drinks were really good. The tables are shared, so whoever is coming is always welcome to take a seat, which creates a good feeling at the bar. People are always happily welcomed by the hosts. It is a must when in Stockholm.

Great Viking style restaurant - the host did a great job at bringing you back to the year 800 with some explanation and comedy. If you want a more relaxed experience, come early; however, the atmosphere gets exciting at night with live music and participation from diners. You will need a reservation for night time dining, but the food is amazing - I highly recommend the venison! The mead selection was something Ive never seen before but was amazing!

Simply amazing. To call it a restaurant would be an understatement since it’s more of an experience. The atmosphere is of old Scandinavia, when mead was the local favorite, and they have many to choose from. It’s cozy yet exciting inside with a space much larger than it looks. You can come for food or just drinks. If you come at the right time in the evening, you will also hear a bard playing with multiple different instruments. We personally came back 3 days in a row in our last three nights in town. Recommend a reservation if coming for food, as it can fill up fast!

Absolutely go there for the unique atmosphere and the experience. It looks extraordinary well. The restaurant is in a basement area and the design makes you feel set past in history. If you plan to go here, reserve! You may be very lucky, but if you got the time do reserve, it is always very full! The food is tasty, price is average for center of Stockholm I guess (meaning it is expensive!), portions are on the lower limit. There is some authentic live music, and each guest gets welcomed with the mention where they are from. Gives a nice vibe. However this makes it quite noisy (we were there with a kid, so after a while it got a bit too much). Overall very nice experience, I would recommend it to anyone!

Awesome experience but the restaurant was EXTREMELY hot inside so we had to almost run out of there as soon as we were done eating. The ambience, singing, and "old viking" food and lore is what makes it worth it.

I came I saw and I conquered the Mead. I was very powerful that night. Its an awesome place to visit. I tasted the pies for desert, very delicous.

It’s not as simple as the food was great. It was beyond our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! This will definitely be a “must do” every time we visit Stockholm.

First of all do yourself a favor and reserve a table well in advance this place books up very quickly. I thankfully stumbled in and found a seat at the bar early. The staff are just as amazing as the atmosphere. Diana was well versed in all the meads and helped me pick out delicious ones. The menu has some delicious things on it as well. Can’t say enough good things about this place, definitely was well worth the time.

A true viking affair! The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. The staff were kind and helpful and went over and beyond what was expected of them. This is a must go place but make sure you call first and make reservations it books out quickly.

This restaurant is the craziest experience ever! You really feel like you are entering in another dimension and get transported to the Vikings time.The staff is so nice and welcoming, we were given several meads to try before choosing the one we wanted to have. I really enjoyed the experience. They really went all out with the theming and decor of the place. The food was also very era-appropriate. I had a shrimp and crayfish soup for an appetizer and it was delicious, then for the main course I had the Zander (a type of fishwhich was also very good! With the food we had some mead and it was also delicious. Overall we really enjoyed it, definitely cool and atmospheric!

Dinner here felt chaotic but in a fun way. There is a lot going on so the restaurant is loud and energetic. The live music is great and the host announcing each patron makes it even more lively. The tables are communal so you’ll be eating alongside other patrons. The food is delicious and well prepared. Be sure to make a reservation online if you’d like to eat here! And be prepared for a warm experience if you’re visiting on a hot day.

Fun atmosphere, great music and funny staff! The ambiance and the theme are why you should come. The food is good, not amazing, but the selection of mead and unique beers is great.

This was definitely an experience! The live music is really cool and the selection of mead and grog is awesome. The place is crazy busy and loud so prepare for that, but overall its a very fun atmosphere and the food was really good!

I 100000% recommend every one to try this place. They prefer that you make a reservation first, but if you dont they will do their best like they did for me! (They are the most booked place in Sweden, from what i heardThe atmosphere, the food, the chanting and music are worth it all. If you are coming to Sweden, this is a delight - even more so if you enjoy Viking/Nordic stories and culture. The staff is incredible, fun, and the waitress I had was very kindhearted. This place is the best! We were lucky to get a seat last minute despite not having a reservation because someone booked a larger table than needed. We loved the mead. I had lamb and my husband had chicken and we both really loved it. Be warned that all seating is bench seating and they are long benches so youll probably be close to strangers if you go on a date or with a small group. This turned out ok because our nearest neighbors were from Indiana and we had a great conversation about the local tourist attractions.

Such a unique Viking experience. Quite touristy but incredibly fun communal seating. Lots of chanting and toasting! Shared the Rurik’s Large Party plate and everything was delicious!

A cool Viking themed restaurant and bar. They announce everyone that arrives for dinner. The food and mead was awesome. The guests and staff all had a great time. Good music, clapping, and table banging.

Excellent food, and quite entertaining. Youre seated at longtables, which we were aware of and prepared for. We were not prepared for being seated askew, and not across from each other. Id say Aifur is good for a group looking for a rowdy night out, but not for couples.

Amazing athmosphere, amazing food, amazing service quality! We had lamb and deer with honey beer which were the most tender meat we ever taste! And beer was amazing! We would love to come again! Dont forget the reservation.

This place is a whole experience. From the music to the food, everything is within a theme. Even the cutlery is viking-styled. The food was amazing, the live music wonderful and the general experience was something you will never have seen or witnessed before.They serve different kinds of meads (fermented honey drinkand the food is that of a better restaurant with fine cuisine. I truly liked this, but I dont think it will be for everyone, as it is not a restaurant to enjoy a beer in quiet conversation.

I always wanted to visit this viking themed place and wasnt disappointed when I got a chance! It was during pandemic and even then the service,food and atmosphere didnt disappoint. It has been an amazing experience and the drinks and food are top notch! Dont be shy to ask to sample their wide range of meed and honney beer :)The prices were fair for the quality and we got to experience life music!Very friendly staff as well. Terrible experience. The place looked awesome, so we decided to dine here but sadly the food was awful. It’s also quite expensive place. We literally didn’t eat more than a bite and we had to pay full price. We left hungry and disappointed. No one cared. We ended up at another restaurant after this

Had a really fun time. The live music was fantastic. The food was delicious. The mead selection was fantastic. I think the chili one was extra delicious. Their beers are also brilliant. The lamb was great, and the pike was beautiful.

Wander down the candlelit alleyway’s stairs for the experience of a lifetime!You can enjoy a mead, live music and authentic meal as if you were a Viking. We came on a winter weeknight, but it’s probably delightfully rowdy on the weekends during summer.The mussels were perfectly cooked in cream sauce with crusty bread and they were so filling, I almost couldn’t eat all of my impeccably smoked salmon. The live music inspired the soundtrack of the rest of our travels through Scandinavia. Aifur is definitely the highlight of our trip to Stockholm!Pro Tip:- Check their hours as they are closed on some days- If you don’t drink, order a non-alcoholic mead to enjoy from an earthenware clay jug!

Great food and fun experience, but we missed the "Boisertous" in the description. This is NOT a place for a quiet romantic secluded meal, so be prepared for a loud, table sharing, meat-loving fun time.

This place was not just a great and special experience, but also the food was extremely tasty! The meat was melting in my mouth, very soft, juicy and delicious. It was just Wow! And of course the atmosphere is fantastic. Like you are a part of a big viking party!

Another must do in Stockholm. The food, the drinks, and the atmosphere give Aifur a 5 out of 5.They announce your names/country of origin when you enter the dining hall. They have live music during the dinner, which isnt too loud and you can still carry on conversations.Be sure to make reservations prior to arriving, it fills up fast

Went at 5pm with reservation. The empty space were set, staffs were ready to host slowly shown-up groups. Hjort/lamb was so good we placed the 2nd order. Deresons Lanmracks/Mix meats were good choice if wants to have a test of different meat. Biesiadny Glas/mead was tasty. Didnt like the taste of Aifurs Molska 40CL but its popular. The show strated around 7pm.

Would I recommend this place? It depends of what you value in a good restaurant. It is on a pricey side of things so bearing that in mind the service wasn’t what I expected. We had to wait outside in the cold for 25 minutes even though we had a reservation. So did everyone else in the queue. No one came to check on us. When I told the waiter about it he suggested that I jump the queue. There was nobody managing the reservations. I think that the restaurant is understaffed. They poured my drink half way and then run off somewhere else. My friend waited for her beer for 15 min. The starters arrived together with the main dish. The food was good but nothing so special for the price. The music was nice. It’s an interesting experience but I wouldn’t really recommend it. My advice to the management is to hire more staff on the weekend.

I fell in love with this place.Even the staff is kind of friendly-nonchalant (but helpful and pro!), so you feel like in the Viking tavern!Not many options for vegetarians though, but I ordered mushroom risotto and it was delicious. The portion was super big. BIG. Prices are maybe not the lowest in the city, but you pay for the whole experience, not just for the food, which was obvious to me.My friend ordered Lans aux Meadow’s mead and cream boiled mussels as a main course (bigger option than a starterand firstly it was huge, secondly, she said they were the best mussels she ever had…PS. Make a reservation some time in advance :Perfect restaurant to invite people visiting from other countries.
