Unfussy eatery specializing in Mediterranean classics, including build-your-own sandwiches & salads.
Food was alright but very expensive for what I got. I ordered an Original Gyro, fries and a personal side of tabouli and it was over $17, without a drink. The side of tabouli was pretty small. I will seek out other restaurants if I am in the area.
Nice staff, Clean place. Amazing service 🥰
I think this place just rebranded to TaZZaH and repainted the outside (which looks great!I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now because I drive by all the time. Ordered a takeout sampler and baklava, everything was really great! Especially was impressed with the chicken, pita and hummus. Whenever I’m craving Mediterranean, I’ll be coming here.
This place has always been a descent gyro, falafel, shawarma place and has a great lunch combo I usually get. The sign is now completely different and has a different name, all same food and same family. Definitely recommend for lunch
Thanks to Nashwa she’s a great chefShe delivered as promised a great Egyptian dish“Kushari” very delicious and reminded me of my mother’s cooking. It was my first time but I’m definitely coming back for more and more 😋
Food was good. Meat was a little overcooked and I would have liked some more flavor but will still be going back. Prices were decent, service was great, food was unique and tasty.
We love Aida! Good prices and delicious food!Hadnt gotten any food from here in a while, but their fries were even better than I remembered! We got the gyros and they were absolutely fantastic.
We went here last winter and then again this fall. I vaguely recall not being too impressed at the first visit but I really enjoyed this trip. The food was tasty (naan, gyro, rice)! And the employee was courteous and brought our meals outside to us.
Yeah. Out of everything I tried to order. Just definitely don’t try to BiteSquad this place... it’s a nightmare trying to rectify the bill for what actually showed up... which was sad & bland. The restaurant mentioned to our BiteSquad driver that just enough of their non-integral items were out of stock to keep us interested in ordering from them, but didn’t mention that FALAFEL was one of them!!! I know that seems trivial, but this is a Mediterranean restaurant and honestly after getting 5 other items kicked off our order, if we had known they were out falafel, too, we would have just gone somewhere else. It almost feels like an intentional move on their part? And we were not allowed to get refunded for the meal that the falafel were to be a main part of from BiteSquad. Paid $115.00 for a couple cold kabobs, rice, salad & baklava. Such a waste of money. So bogus.
Gyro meat tasted cheap and the sauce was watery with little flavor. Fryer was broken, so half the sides werent available. Nice staff, but sticking to Gyropolis in the future.
Service was great but we did not have fresh food. We went on Monday evening and they were out of most things on the menu. We ordered what was left and the pita, though warmed tasted stale and plastic-y. The tabouleh was not fresh at all.
The food was really wet and unappetizing. The pita was soggy and meat was wet. It was dripping some liquid that smelled bad. The veggies were soggy and didn’t seem fresh. If you like authentic Mediterranean food I wouldn’t recommend this place.
Delicious lunch. I had the Shwarma salad. Polite and friendly staff. The building is a little rough in terms of finishes and does look like a very basic renovation of an old fast food chain location but its very clean. Id eat there again!
Is the best place ever. Fresh food, great service.I really recommend that place.
This is the best Mediterranean spot south of 62 in my opinion. Aida has offering regardless of if you’re a fan of higher quality offerings, or those resembling street food. The Gyro is always a hit, but make sure to give the sides a shot too.
Food was ok.. hummus was good, chicken kebab wasnt good..
I want to like this place but I just cant. The food is bland. It isnt very nice inside and it was freezing cold. Everyone in the restaurant had to keep their winter jackets on the entire time. I love Greek food but there are places that are much better than Aida.
The food here is pretty bland and mediocre. I recieved excellent customer service, so Im sad to leave a poor review. Nonetheless, this is nothing special taste wise. Basic unflavored rice and tasteless hummus and meats. The chicken kabobs were good though.
Excellent Yummy 4Da Tummy Food, made Fresh on the spot.Love it Highly Recommend
This place was absolutely amazing! The best falafel Ive ever had. The staff is super friendly, and was happy to help. The food took some time (barely), but thats because they were making everything super fresh, and it was well worth it. The portions were bigger, but well rounded with spices and amounts. The falafel I could die for, they even solved the problem of too-much-sandwich! I suggest this place to everyone, it was absolutely stellar, and the prices are a bargain. We tried the grilled vegetable entree and the falafel sandwich. Go eat there right now!
I wish I had a positive experience like those below who reviewed this place. My gyro was soggy, the yogurt sauce had no salt, the hummus was bland. And that was just my meal. My wife’s dish had meat that was unseasoned and over cooked and the felafel tasted like it had gone bad. Hopefully this place gets better but I definitely won’t be going back.
I like the food style here. You order it then eat it. Not a lot of fuss. Their hummus is very creamy and still nutty flavored. I always get their chopped grilled chicken, sometimes on a salad, sometimes on the rice. All good.
We arrived at about 7p and they were out of all beef, skewers, and kunafa. We ordered Chicken Shwarma Entrees and hummus with pita as an appetizer. Plenty of hummus, not enough pita to finish it. The chicken was not cooked fresh, more like warmed up and dry, overcooked. Rice had very little flavor. For 4 of us, IT WAS NOT a GOOD $80 well spent. Will not be back.
The first time I went to Aida, we were quite impressed. This time, it was just "ok". I think the chicken was kind of dry. The falafel was really good.
The spot is cozy and the service was great, the price is good, but the food was just okay. I got the gyro sandwich and falafel and they were both pretty underseasoned, quite bland. The gyro also didnt have much filling in it compared to every other gyro Ive had in my life, which made the price not really worth it. Place was clean and staff was friendly.
We had two of the veggie sandwiches. They were good, not great. Maybe a little under seasoned. Also got a side of the hummus which was pretty bland.Nothing was bad, but nothing was really worth going back for either. Likely wont go back.
Dont let the size/location fool you the food and staff more than make up for any hesitations. It is a perfect restaurant for a date night, all the food is very fresh and has a huge variety of entrees. I highly highly suggests the hummus Ive never tasted hummus like this before, it has a very creamy consistency. We drive 30+ minutes for this place often skipping closer middle eastern restaurants if you want real middle eastern food come here.
The food is very fresh and worth the wait.
I like supporting small businesses and was very optimistic based on the reviews here. Everything was just so mediocre I am pretty disappointed. It was a very long wait for takeout, which they apologized about... hummus was watery which I don’t understand, pita was off the grocery store shelf, kafta lacked flavor as did most everything else. Pricing is fine for what it is, just wish everything had more flavor. Oh well.
Fresh food, generous portions, high quality ingredients. Its nice that the meat is halal. Best falafel Ive tasted in my life! We ended up ordering seconds. Even the rice was perfectly cooked and tasty. We will definitely go back.
Nice hidden gem. Was looking to go somewhere for lunch and I just passed by this place on my car. I noticed the big building right away and the open sign. Came in to find great tasting Mediterranean food. Very pleased by the service and quality of food.
Great place to eat if you want to indulge but still eat healthy. We always order the build your own platters and break up our choices so we get a little taste of everything. Excellent all around, especially the chicken and beef shawarma.
Wow this place is good !!! The food and services were top notch!! The lady and young man were so pleasurable! We got the Greek salad and combo platter for 2 , it was delicious!!! I recommend this place because they make you feel welcome!! Good job we will be back!!!!!!!A+++
Fast, friendly, inexpensive and delicious. I plan to try everything on the menu but I cant stop getting the gyro sandwich and falafel. Priced comparable to Dinos and 100 times tastier. If you are looking for Mediterranean in the area this is the obvious choice.
Tucked in a small residential neighborhood of Richfield, place has really good options for Mediterranean food. Their platters have good options to try a variety of foods with a generous amount enough to share for two people :if youre a vegeterian or only eat halal, this would be a good choice of place to go.Might want to check on seating on weekends as it gets busy with limited seating area inside and small parking lot. They do have a decent outdoor patio seating as well.
Staff were SUPER friendly. Props to management for hiring friendly and welcoming staff. Food was pretty solid from a very unassuming Building and location. I ordered the schwarma beef plate. Pita was a little dry, but meat and flavors are good.
I have been to this establishment in the past and loved it . But my resent visit was rather disappointing though the Waite was long, the service was friendly. But the food was a big disappointment, the chicken seemed not to be cooked all way, and the kufta smelled and taste as if if the meat was not fresh. The very small portion of Hali’s was lacking in flavor , think they forgot the lemon. A straight up scary experience, I couldn’t eat the meal, for fear of getting sick. And all that coast me a pretty $20 never again. Be careful
Used to really like this place but my recent visit indicates that the quality might have dropped off a little. My falafel was good but is was drowned in sauce and there were barely any veggies on it. The tomato and cucumber on my salad seemed like they might have been from the day before.
We enjoy Mediterranean food very much and have had many styles in many cities across the country. But we just dont like how Aida cooks their dishes. It all seems to lacks flavor or seems too dry. Seating is very cramped and one worries, while one is standing in line for food, whether there will be a table available after one orders. We tried it soon after it opened and then again a few years later, hoping kinks might have been worked out. But its just not for us. I see lots of folks like this place but compared to the fantastic Mediterranean food Ive had at other restaurants, I couldnt recommend this one to a friend.
The food was pretty good! I tried the grilled vegetable as an entree and it was well cooked, with right mix of different items.
Yummy and affordable! We had the combo. Lamb and falafel were GREAT. Kabobs a bit dry, but flavorful. No frills in the space itself (and it was freezing in there!but food was excellent. A great option for takeout!
Love this place , cozy, self service, food tastes delicious, look good , check the photos,
Delicious and affordable. They have some good vegetarian and gluten free options. I enjoyed their falafel entrée and rice pudding.
I just had their new chicken shatsuka and its absolutely amazing. I usually go for the gyro here which is also really good, its always fresh made just the way I like it. In fact Ive always liked everything I ever tried here. Nice clean atmosphere. Sahar the chef always makes sure everything is perfect. If youre craving good Mediterranean food Aida is the place to go
I love this restaurant. Theyre super small, Mom and Pop in what I believe used to be a Taco Bell. Its beautiful now and the food is outstanding. You will not regret going here! Theres never many people working, so the food might take a little long, but it is so worth the wait.
As a lover of Mediterranean food Ive tried many such establishments around the twin cities. I can say hands down that the food here is some of the best Ive had. I got the sampler plate and everything was fresh and seasoned to perfection. On top of the wonderful food, the service was great, I felt very welcomed. I will definitely be back soon.
Tasty Mediterranian has the dishes you would expect, but the quality preparation makes this place stand out. The falafel are crispy with a good crumb.
Get the Gyro. At $7 it is a good deal and very delicious. Everything else here is well overpriced. Last time I went I got the burger which was very good but came to find out after I left I had been double-charged on tax. $8.99 burger was somehow $9.72 on the receipt then another $0.80 of tax was added again. It was good but probably worth $6-7. Nice people, authentic food. But service is slow and overpriced. Like I said, stick to the Gyro. And check your receipt.
This is a cozy, little restaurant with excellent cuisine at a reasonable price. The menu is customer friendly and makes ordering quite simple, while still providing a variety of choices. The staff are friendly and helpful, providing just the right amount of customer service or answering any questions one might have. Besides the quality, I was quite satisfied with the amount of food (and Im not a light eater). Im looking forward to bringing my friends here to try this great place.
Very unique place. It might take you a bit to realize that this is not a fast food restaurant. The food is prepared fresh on the spot, so make sure you have about 5 minutes to spare. The food is delicious and very well prepared. The service is superb. This place is as close to authentic as you can get in Minnesota.
