Agora Food Studio - Restaurant in Aileu, East Timor
Tasty, thoughtful, crafted food - every dish was on-point, and the setting was lovely.
Amazing food and coffee! The staff were so kind and took the time to explain to us where the ingredients had been collected/grown from
Great coffee, great food. Has some local culinary colour with seasonal menu, with very high standards and friendly staff. Absolute must visit in Dili
The largest coffee menu I have seen my entire stay in dili. Never disappointed and The fact they always offer a vegan option with all their meals made going out with others easier for me, I felt less guilty. Try the kombucha ☺️
One of the best restaurants in Dili! Great place for a quick coffee and pastry, also a great place for breakfast or lunch. Great atmosphere and selection of food every time. Highly recommend the tortilla beste.
Feel like I’m in Melbourne. Food combinations are unpredictable but amazing.. and exciting coffee combinations. Love to chill upstairs on a hot day in dili!!
Melbourne style coffee, great food, service is great! must check it out in Dili
Friends of ours who live & work in Timor Leste took us here for a fantastic coffee experience! The coffee was good, the staff were very friendly and the snacks we had were enjoyed by all!! Highly recommend!!
Nice cosy place, very different style of cooking from the other food outlets in Dili. Unique. Only issue I have is the limited opening times which limits us to go on Saturday lunch. Other times working folk like us wont be able to go.
Great food and service👍
Do not miss this place. Be ready to be blown away by the food and the hospitality. Get there asap
Jauh datang dari medan restorannya enak tapi terlalu cepat tutup.Suitable for a relaxing place 👍
Wow. This place is exceptional and truly sets itself above other fair in Dili. Will definitely recommend to friends and be back.
What an amazing restaurant, project and such wonderful people. Marc and his wife are doing a great job of ‘planting a seed that will grow into a tree of opportunity’ for the local staff. Doing something like this in a country like Timor-Leste must be hard, but very rewarding as well. We had the chance to speak to some of the kids as well and there dreams for the future are not just personal dreams. They represent much more. Chances to become good at hospitality and at the same time passing on there skill and knowledge. The food is fantastic, the ambience is great. Keep up the great work! Very inspiring!
The best..
Visited for coffee and hot chocolate. It’s got a cool interior and is really well set up - looks more like a Wellington hipster coffee house. It’s also has a role in training locals in barista and other service schools. Usually well populated by expats. Service was very friendly and I had a sweet hot chocolate (4.5usd). It was made out of local cocoa but it wasn’t that sweet unfortunately.
My friends and I had an amazing group class with a coffee experience and lesson on cooking local ingredients with a fantastic fusion of traditional knowledge and creative flavours. Great to share a delicious, fresh and inspiring meal with the owners and talk about their impact and capacity building through food.
The coffee is the best in Dili! Its reliably good, consistantly good. Theyve won barista of the year (multiple timesfor good reasons. The food is amazing! Flavours are not just matched, but married! The ingredients, local & seasonal. The presentation is top notch! The staff are professional, educated & genuinely friendly, lovely! The only reason I give it 4 stars is its hideously expensive. Almost $100 for 4 people. Yes, we had dessert. Yes, we had a cold drink & a coffee. But $100 for lunch in Timor, its much too expensive! Sure its catering for malae, but so many of us are volunteers & were living overseas. We dont all have the unlimited supplies of money the locals seem to think we have.
Delicious authentic mealsExcellent place to have a sip of coffee
Very yummy food and great staff.
Formidável!
Such a memorable experience I got after having lunch at Agora Food Studio. The ambiance, taste, food presentation, and the profesionalism were just beyond me. It was not feeling like in East Timor. Very recommended when you are in Dili. The menu is different every week, they just provide 2-3 main course choices for each day.
Unfortunately the kitchen was closed for a private event the day we visited, but the staff were sincerely apologetic and nice about it and offered us cakes and coffee. The coffee was good, I am no connoisseur so it was slightly too strong for me, but serious coffee lovers should enjoy it. The chocolate cake was really dense, but excellent. Could have done with a bit more salt sprinkled on top as that really added to the fabulous flavor.
I heard a lot about Agora before visiting and it lived up to every expectation. The food was delicious and fresh, the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable and made the experience a real treat.
A great place, with big soul, for experiences lovers. Staff is really nice. Food is paradise for vegetarian ( portions are ok for office workers, but not for crossfitters :chocolate cake is greeeaaaaatttttt. Sometime few prices can be quiet expensive, but lunch menu is fair-priced.
One of my favourite restaurants in Dili! The place is beautiful, the concept is amazing, the people are the nicest! Different menus, always with local ingredients! Unfortunately just opens for lunch...
