Agassiz-Harrison Museum and Visitor Information Centre - Museum in Chilliwack, Canada
Very neat place to stop. Lady and Gentlemen on staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about local history. Pick up some homemade jam from the giftshop, plus many other locally made items. Make a donation and choose from the many history books available.
A great place to visit to learn a little history about the area, come visit when youre in town 😌
Cute and quaint little museum packed with information. They change the displays regularly so its worth it to pop in every so often. The ladies that man the museum are always so loverly and knowledgeable to speak with. My train-obsessed toddler loved climbing up onto the train car and walking along the tracks.
My wife and I enjoyed seeing the exhibits and learning more about the area.
Good place to learn about town
They have done a lovely job of making this old railway station into a museum. I knew it when it was a railway station and it still felt like the same place.
Housed in an old CPR station. Limited collection of Native tools, farm implements, CPR china, tools etc. Plenty of parking outside.
Fantastic little shop with friendly customer service! It was a very interesting visit with many things I have never seen before. The little shop was nice as well :)
Had a wonderful time chatting with the ladies that run the Museum and Info Centre about 3 yrs. ago. It was in July and I and family were there to explore. The staff gave me all sorts of interesting tidbits of info about Agassiz, population, history, and also maps! I am so looking forward to going back -- to find out what is new since the last time I was there!
Absolutely loved the museum! Interesting exhibition, learned a lot about Agassiz history, and I was given a wonderful tour by a volunteer lady (whose name I sadly forgot, sorry), but I was told that they change exhibits often and when I come back visiting next time I will find some new things to explore and learn. The gift shop is quaint and interesting as well. Thank you for the experience!
Amazing museum to get familiar with the history of the area. The staff was friendly and informative. They answered our questions and gave us some great suggestions on what to visit in the area.
Nice staff and many brochures.
Lots of great things and educational
Great stop in Agassiz with ev charger available with 4hr limit.
Very quaint, wish I had more time to review all the great history there. Lots of info on the region for recreation as well as history.
Nice
The variety of the displays.
Didnt actually go into the museum and visitor information but certainly enjoyed the adjoining park. Lots of trees for shade, benches to sit on and well manicured gardens and lawns.
We accidentally ended up here instead of the sasquatch museum but that was okay. The man working was very informative and able to provide lots of extra details. It is a nice way to break up a trip, get some conversation material for the drive and learn about small town life!
I went here with one of my best friends about a year ago and we were both extremely impressed by this museum. Run by some very informative and passionate people. If youre interested in the history of the Fraser Valley like I am then this isnt a place youre going to want to miss.
Great place to visit
It was very nice experience I am happy I did that. That.
Great place to learn about local history
Interesting place to stop.
Interesting place!
Fantastic spot. Worth the time to spend a few minutes. Staff is outstanding
Helpful staff, quaint little building and good assortment of local history and information.
Werent open while waiting for train that was 2 hours late in the cold with no where nearby with open bathrooms. As a disabled person with a prolapsing bladder this was an extremely painful experience.
Very friendly and cooperative. Gave practical advices and directions.
Nice little museum.
Nice Building, very clean and well kept. Good information from the guide. Lots of free parking. Has a caboose and hand car. Plus a museum full of artifacts.
Interesting museum in a nicely restored heritage building.
I highly recommend stopping by here for about an hour and getting in touch with the history of the area. As a long term resident it was a fascinating look into the past.
