Afro Deli & Grill: Minneapolis in Saint Paul

I am really sorry for this 1 star review, people there are really nice and welcoming and we had a very good time with them. However, there are some really bad issues that can’t be ignored; the meat was chewy, dry, probably it has been cooked yesterday or the day before and then warmed up a bit. Back home, a couple of hours later, I felt really sick and I spent the night with a really bad stomachache and stomach issues. I’m really sorry to say this, a lot of friends told me good things about this restaurant, but The quality of food is very low and it may give you food poisoning like it happened to me. Please check the quality of your food before serving it to clients.

We had a really nice lunch there today. The staff was super friendly and recommended us the dishes. The food was great and the beer was was cheap. Highly recommended!

Amazing food, great hosts and the best vibe for any evening out in Malta. We happened to go for the Open Mic night and it was perfect (even though a lot of the comics bombed, everybody was super nice). Must visit.

Best Ethiopian food in Malta!One word for it "FLAVORFUL"!I was a little disturbed by the strong essent smell. But overall amazing we will come back. Great food and nice staff❤.

Absolutely fantastic, delicious food, good drinks, super friendly and attentive service and great reggae nights!

Shame about the food. Both lamb and beef dishes ordered were tough, complained and were given an alternative of chicken drumstick, which was passable. No service, headed to the kitchen to ask for cutlery to be able to eat the chicken drumstick with and saw the chef try to hide a cigarette when he saw me approaching. Shame guys, your place could be a little gem but I wont be visiting again.

We stayed 5 days in Malta, and the last day this place was best way to finish our travel with AMAZING FOOD and VERY GOOD MUSIC..

Usually after animal rights activism I get to socialize and enjoy amazing vegan food, in the company of my fellow animal defenders.This has been one of our regular post activism places recently, an African themed restaurant-cafe, that has a page of exclusively vegan options.I usually get the platter that includes a small portion from all the options together with a non-alcoholic ginger beer and their traditional sourdough bread, very tasty and filling 🤤!

Food is good. Prices reasonable. Staff very friendly.

Very interesting place with a friendly staff. Went there with my friends. Loved the eating with hands. If you like spicy then this is the right place for you. But the best part was the bread/pancake. Mixing it with a very spicy (for memeat dish was an excelent combination. Everything balances out. The place is not a fancy restaurant but if you want something different then definitely worththe visit.

I had the recommendation of all veggies and tibs added to it. Food was amazing with great new flavours and generous portions. Left over food is packed nicely in a "doggiebag". All in all I had a fantastic experience both with the people running the place and the food itself. I will come back soon. 5++⭐🙏

I would give 6 if I could 🤗 I was looking for my favourite injeras ( since those are gluten free and voila. The food quality is fabulous. I like when food is slightly spicy and here the level is exactly like I prefer. And the stuff is very friendly! Big plus since they accept Revolut. Definitely recommend 😃

Ethiopian authentic food, premises are modest and dont expect cutlery 🥳 I ordered beef cubes medium it was well prepared only side dish here is a flat spongy bread.. very happy with what I experienced. My dining buddie had some other beef with this Ethiopian bread. We got also complementary beef dish with amazing sauce.They have loads of beef and lamb options on the menu..she like this place simplicity of the food with rich spicy flavours. I am very happy when she is satisfied. We splashed it with decent red house wine 🍷 . Not sure if they have a wine list 🙂. Very friendly staff.. surely coming back.

The best Ethiopian food I’ve very eaten. Very authentic. Do eat with your hands, that’s what the injera is for - a sourdough flatbread that is your plate and cutlery all at once. Very affordable. Lovely selection of wine and food. We took the all veg (great optionand the lamb key wot. Both were amazing, nicely spiced, full of flavour and texture. Not to be missed!

We had the chicken wot. They served extra injera on the house because we wanted to share. One plate of wot was enough to share for two people. Delicious African food and a unique atmosphere. Although the seating space is small, it is well kept, clean, and very pleasant. The lady who was serving the food was very kind and tried her best to explain the dishes to us.

How polite and helpful the staff were. The food was good and everyone there tried to please. However it is still a cafe/takeaway and not really a restaurant. space is limited.

I just love this little authentic restaurant!Wanted to try Ethiopian food for so long, and Im so glad first time I tried it here.Food is delicious, love eating with my hands, portion is big and there is plenty of vegan options, 7 or 8 dishes.Atmosphere was lovely, loved the music and the guys working there are great.Big recommendation, they will see me pretty often!
