Adrian Tropical - Dominican restaurant in Monte Plata, Dominican Republic
Great sea food, great service
I was visiting my parents in Sto Dgo and went for dinner. The food was spectacular and staff is pleasant and friendly. After getting to my parent’s house, I realized I had left my purse with all my personal belongs which included my passports, credit cards and cash. I returned to the restaurant 2 hours later and was able to retrieve my purse and all my belongs were intact. I never write reviews, however, I felt it necessary to give recognition to this establishment which business ethics deserves praise. Highly recommend this restaurant!!
The food is this restaurant is excellent, but their is no A/C.
The food was great, but after my experience here, this place is better for take-out orders opposed to dining in -- theyre a bit understaffed so you will need to be patient, during my visit the hostess was the waitress and the busser.I give this place 3stars because although the short-handed staff was pleasant, My party had to request to be moved twice, simply said -- this place is not ideal if someone in your party is easily grossed out.If you are dining in, make sure to look up so that you arent seated under one of theyre messed nets that they have where the street birds fly into. And make sure to ask for a table that doesnt have constant cold drops falling in your food, for which I hope was just condensation from the air conditioner falling on my friends soup. The soup was complementary -but still --we were ready to leave when the hostess found us a non meshed net - dry seating area -- 3 stars
Delicious food. They have multiple locations. Everything was so tasty and cooked amazing. Must try if in Santo Domingo.
Parking for elderly sucks but food was good!
Very good food...besides the food..waitresses should be more enthusiastic..more friendly...we had like 4 waitresses they were slow and never remembered who ordered what. We sat there waiting for the menu..for after them telling us how it works..
Absolutely delicious food - highly recommend the cassava patties and goat curry - you wont be disappointed! 🤤🤤🤤
The food was good , but the Pina Colada was excellent. Servers were slow. One of the servers didnt want us to sit outside because it wasnt allowed and 20 minutes later there were people sitting outside.🤦♀️🤷♀️
OK just a few notes. The food was amazing. And service was OK. But if you are prone to getting eaten by mosquitoes, bring your mosquito spray or be sure to have pants. They will attack you inside or outside. And the final note is to check your bill closely. Multiple items were overcharged (based on digital billon our receipt. And one was charged and not delivered.
Food is great but food takes to long to arrive
Over priced food, long waits, people skipping lines to sit before you, uncomfortable "paid" parking... the juices are good, thats about it.
Food delicious. Staff are friendly. Definitely returning here !
Is a good place for typical Dominicam food, they should provide extra cazabe site
Food quantity is for people on a diet. The place is nice and clean. My wife ordered a mofongos of pork and there was little meat. No recommended if you expect good food quantity.
Great service, the waitresses are very attentive and the food is very good 👍
The food here, traditional dominican dishes served fast, is consistently good. You can always count on a tasty, satisfying meal whenever you visit, no matter what time of the day or night. They have a well trained staff that is friendly and helpful, without being overbearing.
It great restaurant with good food. Loved sitting outside catching the vibe. The language barrier wasnt a problem, which is a plus.
3.5 Stars in my opinion. Good Dominican fast food. Food quality not the same as in the past (still good however). Great shakes and juices, my favorite is the "Salomo with tostones". Good value, you definitely get your bang for your buck.
Very cool restaurant. Giant koi pond. Sit out side and watch the fish swim. Very good sancocho.
Good food and nice service. The prices are affordable.
Delicious! If you want to try Dominican food well prepared this is your place! I’ve been two times in different location and they didn’t failed with the seasoning nor the service. It’s a very casual place and I think it deserves more than 5 stars.
Advise to eat here..only 2 small tables outside with a smoking option..no ashtray..no menus only a whopping stand with menu for westerners.. no WiFi to translate so we decided to leave..would of loved to of tried there food and complete darkness where they sat us such a shame.
Amazing environment , music and food
If I could rate it lower than 1 star I would, first of all service was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! They are not attentive at all. The waiter took forever to come over and they never brought over a menu. I had to scan a bar code to access the menu online. Once I finally ordered the food it took forever and it was sub par at best, for the price(it is very pricey)the food definitely did not live up to standards. I recommend you stay far away from this restaurant, little mom and pop spots have way better AUTHENTIC food.
Extremely slow by American standards, as they seemed under-staffed. The food was fantastic: I highly recommend the mofongo. Staff was nice. They have an English menu so I think you could get by without speaking Spanish.
Tourist review: loud, outside atmosphere but here in Santo Domingo if you’re outdoors, expect it to be noisy and I absolutely loved it. The food was very flavorful and delicious with reasonable big city prices. The mangu con camarón was my favorite!
Sangrias are great, good prices and fun atmosphere good place to grab lunch or dinner.
This place is amazing love the food the people and service are great definitely bring family or friends here.
The worst experience in my life; I could easily rate this as the worse restaurant in my life. Over an hour for my food, the food was cold and horrible taste. They charged me full amount despite the terrible experience. Please do not visit this one, if you are gonna risk it better go to the one in the George Washington Avenue.
Its was ok. Food wasnt bad, but wasnt great neither. There was no A/C and no explanation was given as to the reason why. Food was very expensive for what it was, expected more reasonable prices. The area was nice, felt tropical indeed. All in all, dont expect to go back unless theres no other option. They can definitely do better..
The food was great! Dominican Republic is not very well known for authentic food but this was made well on the grill. Definitely I’m coming back. It took a while for me to get the attention of the server to take my order but It could’ve just been the server herself. if you want hot sauce, you actually have to buy the bottle and take it home with you , they do not tell you this prior to ordering it. OtherwiseGreat restaurant.
The servers were very nice and attentive as were the greeters. I was even impressed that everyone wore masks, sanitized, and made sure customers weore masks. That being said, the food was TERRIBLE! We liked the cassava cakes with pork but the white rice was barely warm and it was dry and tasted like it was at least a day old, the chicken Cordon Bleu had fake American cheese in it which made it taste weird, the sauce on top was salty and the chicken inside the cannelloni was so sour that it was inedible. My husband had the chivo and rice which he said was okay but hes had much better at other places. I would definitely not be coming back to this restaurant. They need have properly trained cooks. Very upset to ha e wasted 4,000 pesos.
Its a Santo Domingo must go, if you interested in Dominican food an culture. This place is an institution with more than 30 years in the culinary market. Their speciality is "mofogo" a traditional DR dish. The aesthetic of the restaurant is exotic, colorful and tropical. There is a fish pond and a cascade that gives a mixed vibe between the jungle and oriental style. Most of the time is pack, you will have to wait a few minutes for a table.
Good, authentic Dominican food. The menu has a lot to choose from. They did not have all the dessert that was on the menu. Staff was pretty good. Good atmosphere for having a nice meal with friends or family.
Enjoyed every visit to Adrian Tropical. Good food. Great vibes. Friendly attentive staff. High recommended Breakfast Lunch or Dinner. You cant go wrong. I Enjoyed the Koi fish pond seating area.
Nice place but i didnt like my fish and my husbands shrimp asopao was bad. Only the piña colada was good. Dont recommend unless you are eating mofongo
I went with my family who are visiting from the US. I spoke so highly of their service and food and the dissatisfaction was overwhelming. We went for breakfast. First off I requested to sit at the corner end in the water. It was a bit cloudy and almost immediately it started to drizzle. When I asked them to pull the awning they kinda froze for a sec. but right after one of the waiters said it wasnt working so they wanted to sit us inside w a parking lot view. I asked to b seated inside but on the other corner(sea view). The AC was def not working. Everything we ordered that morning they were out of. Really upsetting. Never ever will I suggest a restaurant.
Absolutely amazing food. So much flavor and all fresh ingredients from what I can tell. If you are a tourist visiting the Dominican, like me, you must try it out. If you are a local, you should also try it out.
Very slow/poor service when we went there. 10-15 minutes before we got a menu. Ordered drinks and didnt get them until we ordered for a second time. Ordered appetizers and main courses and they forgot our appetizers and brought us only main course. Table next to us sat after us and had appetizers before we got our drinks!*Update* We tried their 27 De Febrero restaurant and it was a completely different experience! Maybe on our next trip well give their restaurant on Lincoln Avenue another try.
Words cannot express how phenomenal this place is. If you go GET THE FISH STICKS! Everything was fresh and hot, great portions and seasoned beautifully. So much flavor. This is my favorite spot!
Great food, ambiance and service. Also, very affordable.
Delish. Reasonable prices. Slow service but they take the necessary precautions for dine in.
Really crowded, and popular apparently. Service is not great, rather slow. Food is pretty good. This location is actually really cute. The pond is lovely!
Very good authentic Dominican good. Mofongo is my new favorite food...
Incredible Dominican comfort food! Had the guisado de chivo. With beans and rice and a side of avocado- I was in heaven. Desert was a decadent “cortado!” Truly a great place to enjoy Dominican fare properly done.
The atmosphere is incredible with being set in the natural surroundings. Went for a 2-person business lunch and it took around 2 hours, though which was entirely too long. Though busy during lunch it was impossible to get served and finally get the bill. We had to go looking for someone to help us. The food was fine but the whole experience overall was poor. This was my second visit to this restaurant but I dont know if I will return the next time Im there on business.
Excellent place for local food. Loved the mofongo combi. Parking lot is very tight.
Good service, not so good prices (not overpriced, but for what it is..), I suppose quality comes with a premium, which this place is, a reallly good quality place, quality dishes, service and really good dominican feeling.
Best place for tipical Dominican food. Open 24 hours.
