Queen's Quay, Welsh Back, Bristol BS1 4SL, United Kingdom, Bristol
Imaginative venue for locally sourced fine dining creating butter, bread and cured meat inhouse.
Superb dining experience we had the taster menu with paired wines, every dish was a joy to the tastebuds. We werent rushed but were gjven lots of information about each dish and the wines. Superb atmosphere beautiful setting, great staff, wonderful chef
Lovely fine dining experience - some very daring choices from the chefs, but ultimately all dishes were a unique experience. Nice journey in flavours. Some very subtle, some quite "explicit" (Im looking at you, salted caramel truffle! But all in all well worth it.Price is quite low for what it is. Recommended for a unique occasion.
Top quality food, but doesnt quite do it if youve a larger appetite
Ive only been here twice, but both times the experience has been incredible. My wife and I had the taster menu with the flight of wine. Not cheap, but definitely worth it for a special occasion or if you want to treat yourself (or someone else). Both the menu and the wines were like nothing Ive had before. Highly recommended.
An amazing restaurant overlooking the river. The tasting menu is amazing (my second visitand the service impeccable.
Beautiful and interesting food in friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The wine flight was really interesting, the sommelier talked us through the pairings.A gem, highly recommend.
Wasnt sure.. but was totally amazed by the service, knowledge of staff and quality of food. If you are over fussy dont bother but if you love trying new things, then this is a great place, simply its a choice of Meat or Vegitarian menu and thats it, but I would have never ordered eel or beetroot and both came on the same plate and were delicious. If you can, definatley go for the wine flight the pairings were excellent especially the Swiss wine with the starter of Asparagus. If you enjoy your food, like to listen to people who love serving it, definatley go here, much better than the overrated others in the area. Location good as well.
Such a delight for ALL the senses! The food was sublime and an excellent occasion to celebrate our Pearl Anniversary.
Very pleasant. Relaxing atmosphere. Attentive service. Had the lunch menu with was I think 4 courses. These were all quite small but with layers of flavour. Don’t expect big portions but instead each course is almost like artwork. It’s not cheap however and between two and the wine flight your looking at potentially hundreds £££
After seeing Liv on GBM we loved her personality and style. Although she wasnt there today, the restaurant didnt fail to impress. The service was brilliant with very well informed staff and the lunch tasting menu, omg! Every dish was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Definitely worth a visit.
Wonderful place to enjoy dinner. Dishes are very elaborate, incredibly thought through, delicious!!! It was truly a delight.
We dined here last night after seeing one of the Chef Patrons on Great British Menu a few times. We loved the entire experience. The 10 course tasting menu was extremely generous in terms of additional bites. The range of dishes and flavours was unbelievable. One of the highlights for us was the very knowledgeable sommelier called Kenji - whose pairings were extremely well thought out with very interesting wines. Max our waiter was brilliant too! We would come back!
Everything about this experience was wonderful. Service was immaculate and every single dish was incredible. We weren’t expecting Liv the chef to be there actually cooking so my partner was over the moon to see that she was! I guess this just added to the whole experience as well. (Like most chefs that do incredibly well on TV shows, we thought that she’d probably be off on new ventures setting up restaurants in every city)
What amazing place, from the friendliness of the staff to the quality of the food, it was first class. Will definitely be back.Well done to Tom on his first shift as well.
Brilliant long tasting menu ; fantastic dishes and interesting wine flight. Great service. Overall…. a real treat!
Superb! Interesting food, delightful presentation, fine dining without being too over the top. Great wine list and excellent service
We had a wonderful experience here for my boyfriends birthday. The food was absolutely incredible and the service was great too. Beautiful food in an unpretentious and welcoming environment
Good quality and tasty set lunch menu.
Simply wonderful meal and wine. Highly recommend the wine flight to try some lovely off menu wines! Great service with friendly team explaining the tasting menu.
Very relaxed atmosphere coupled with good food.Lunch menu a little limited on choice but great produce well cooked, if a little pricey.Very attentive and convenial staff.
Natural non filtered wine is not my thing but they made me try really good ones! Food is genuine and tasty. Staff knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Want to go back!
Fabulous service and waiter knowledge of the plates. Tasting menu out of this world!!
Delicious meal, absolutely loved it! For a tasting menu I think its very well priced, most are much more expensive than this.
Had the 8 course taster menu.Fantastic food with great wine pairings and friendly, knowledgeable staff.Great for date nights.
Wow...where should I begin? The tasting menu was a fantastic dining experience...worthy of the celebration of our anniversary for sure. The dishes crescendoed in their excellence...each seemingly better than the last, despite the early courses being wonderful in their own right. Each was a perfectly balanced creation, mixing flavors and textures to perfection. To mention a few specifics (see the photos below, to see how each dish was presentedthe hake was simple but overwhelmingly delicious when combined with the smoked roe and butter sauce...just fantastic. The lamb was probably my personal favorite, with the overlapping flavours of the different cuts of lamb, carrot and onion working together soooo well. The execution continued into the desserts...especially the chocolate, miso, sesame creation...mindblowingly good. Every course, while a perfect combination taste-wise, was also creatively built and presented...and the result was definitely worth the effort in the kitchen. We also had the paired wines, all of which had clearly been painstakingly thought through and further enhanced dishes served. Of special note was the Theodora from Austria which, which would not have been our first choice for drinking on its own, was perfectly complimented with Confit kohlrabi. Full credit for the team for getting the wine pairings right...this was as good as it gets. The service was flawless. The venue small but, as a result, kind of intimate. I wouldn’t hesitate to go again but it isn’t cheap...so it’ll only be for special occasions. The easiest 5 star review I have given in ages.
The food was amazing, dont need to mention about their presentation, it was a kind of art. Friendly and attentive staff.
We had a wonderful lunch here last week to celebrate a special day. We had the tasting menu and wine flight and it was all outstanding. The crockery was so different and added a real charm abd matched the low key and rustic yet elegant design of the restaurant. Every course was delicious and stunning to look at, each wine had been chosen to compliment and the staff explained each course and each wine expertly. The added cheese course was a delight. All the staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable and we asked for a print out of wines so we could try some at home.... What we got was a personalised menu with wines printed out as a memento. Such a thoughtful gesture! We have told everyone we know how great it was and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much for a wonderful time.
Absolutely wonderful tasting menu for lunch. Each of the courses was impeccably presented by the chef who produced it, appetising, tasty and light. A lovely rich Riesling accompanied the courses well, except for a glass of red with the venison. We came away sated but not overfed so often a problem with tasting menus.
Stumbled upon Adelina Yard when looking for a nice place to eat in Bristol. This place was perfect--small, warm atmosphere, and tasty looking menu. I opted for the 8 course set menu (62£with the wine pairing (59£). Overall, the food was good with a couple of standouts. Wine flight was very good (a lot of French options this goand recommended, though seemed a tad pricey for the pours. Courses included: slow roasted vegetables, whipped cods roe, aged beef filet with burrata (AMAZING), Calcot onion, cod (very good), pork with pear and miso, sea buckthorn (very good), chocolate with miso (VERY good).
We had a fantastic lunch at Adelina Yard. The tasting menu was delicious and perfectly balanced. The service was professional and friendly. An extremely pleasurable experience which I would recommend to anyone. Thankyou for making my partners birthday lunch a special occasion x
Incredible tasting menu and fantastic service by all of the staff
If we only talk about the food, Id rather say 3.5 stars given the price, the remaining 0.5 is for the presentation and the efforts they put into the presentation. We had tasting menu on a Saturday night. I think overall the food was a bit overcomplicated - some ingredients just didnt go well together or help to lift the flavour, and some flavours were overwhelming... For instance, the first starter and the first main used onions as one of the main ingredients, so the onions strong flavour just remained in my mouth, which shouldnt have been the case. And the desserts were pretty average.
An absolutely amazing experience! Dined at the chefs table and there was great attention to detail. The chefs came up to the table to explain ingredients, and wait staff were attentive and friendly. Good wine list and unique cheese course were a treat as well!
Very creative and good approach of perparing foods. Will definitely visit it again. If you have too much of college foods (pizza, burger...and would like to try something else, this is a good option
Probably the best tasting menu in Bristol! The vegetarian menu was brilliant and all the dishes worked very well. We did the wine pairing and it felt that a lot of thought had been made on the choices.Staff definitely went above and beyond to make the meal memorable!
Whilst only open four days a week, this restaurant deserves a visit. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the service attentive and the food is stand-out. Their passion for food and interesting ingredients shines through. Absolutely 100% in every aspect. Some ‘nibble’ options would be appreciated though. Thank you so much.
And it thoroughly deserves all 5 of them. This is a dining experience that should be savoured. It demands the 3 + hours it takes to get through the tasting menu and it is well worth the time. The front of house staff are just great, the chefs introduce each dish, which comes out perfectly, despite the kitchen being smaller than yours at home, seriously, its a tiny space. All in all, a benchmark setting tour de force .
Took my other half there for her birthday, staff were brilliant and the taster menu with wine flight was delicious! Highly recommend it!
Our friends took us here as they had a £100 voucher. We had a la carte, food tasty and although tiny portions as being fine dining the amount of starters and dessert they brought to our tables (included in priceI was just comfortably full by the end. Personally would not spend money on fine dining but it was a very good experience, and some very new unusual flavours, textures we had the chance to try. That was amazing. If you have the money I would definitely recommend Adelina Yard to visit 👌🏼
Lovely restaurant, food and service! I dont often go but when I do I always go for the tasting menu. The chefs will serve and break down each dish so that you get a feel of how everything is made, you can tell that theyre proud of their work and so they should be.Pricing is slightly above average but you obviously get what you pay for so its worth it.
Me and my partner went for the taster menu. She had the meat one I had the pescatarian. Absolute brilliant service and fantastic food. Only quarrel with the place is that the timings between food werent consistent. Some were 5 minutes others were 20, we were there for 3 hours total. So be prepared if you are in a hurry.
Great is great. Exceptional service. Decor and facilities are abit rustic.
Just travelled from London for an exceptionally beautiful dinner with friends who recommended this restaurant. The attention to flavour detail has left me with memories of some of the best food I have ever had. I enjoyed the chefs describing the food as the dishes were presented. A delight for foodies. Well done and would highly recommend. Xx
Id been looking to visit for a while and was not disappointed. From start to finish the food was nothing but excellent. We had the tasting menu with the wine flight and between my wife and I, the only disagreement was which was the best course. The detail in planning and precision in delivery for each menu item was perfect, both wine and food were described in detail by either the chef or wine waiter. The raw beef with barbeque ox heart was outstanding, as was the sea bass with smoked herring roe, all the dishes deserve a mention to be honest.Possibly the best food Ive had in Bristol and the service just added to it.
not a fan. really excellent service and location but the food was not good. Its not worth the expensive prices (we spent £80 on lunch for 2 people). We had an entree and main, and their 3 wine sampler which was nice enough. The mains especially were a big let down. With all the hype of the place and the expense I expected a lot better.
We had the tasting menu which was superb and great value considering the amazing produce we had.All of our courses were excellent and some of the dishes were deliciously simple.Very welcoming and great vibe in the restaurant as well as a simple but fantastic wine selection. We will be back every time we are in Bristol
Wow! We have been trying to get a table here for a long time but always full (which is good!). Finally managed to go. Worth the wait!Warm welcome, stunningly presented delicious food. The apparent simplicity of the dishes belies the hard work and skill behind them, with combinations that really work and deliver fantastic flavours. Each course served and explained by the head chef was very nice. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
Really gorgeous food and very reasonably priced. We had the 10 course chefs menu with wine flight that was wonderfully prepared. Theres a couple of things Id have changed about individual dishes (taste combinations or a bit of an obsession with crunchy texturebut generally was fantastic, staff were knowledgeable and we will be back.Highly recommend going before they inevitably get their Michelin star!
The best all-round dining experience ive ever had. Me and my boyfriend both went for the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Apart from the food being absolutely incredible (we compared it to Ferawe were also blown away by how amazing the service was. With an open kitchen and no more than a total of 6 staff on a busy saturday night they somehow managed to seamlessly get the food to our table as well as being extrememly attentive in talking us through the food and wine pairings. All of the staff were really lovely even though some seemed to ge both cooking and waiting at the same time! From the food and the staff to the atmosphere it was just an all-round really special experience.
Birthday treat for the 10 course tasting menu with matched wine, each course matched to suit our preferences. Superb service, knowledge and politeness. The chefs present the food that the cook, describing the ingredients, which is a great touch. Each course tasty, well presented, full of flavour. Completely full afterwards, best to skip lunch if the ten course option is on your to-do list, and its so good that it should be on everyones to-do list!
