War Memorial Dr, North Adelaide SA 5006, Australia, Mount Barker
Modernised 53,500-capacity sports & big-name gig venue, also hosting stadium tours & functions.
Great venue to watch cricket 🏏 or AFL. Really nice clean facilities and there are plenty around the ground. We have done the Roofclimb and its good. Its not real high so if you are frightened by heights this is easier. I have rated the venue 4 only because of the price of food and drink. Ridiculous high prices and this is disappointing 😞
I wasnt able to go inside the stadium due to security reasons and since the T20 World Cup is going on.
Love this venue. Great food and the view. A great blend of modern and history with the old scoreboard.
Fabulous venue food and drinks service
Lots of walking!!!Glad there are lifts and escalators.Catering was very nice.
A friends birthday in the SACA Committee Room, stunning location, brilliant food & wonderful staff. One of the best dining experiences I have had, food plus the company. I dont know the name of the Florist but she is in Gilbert St Adelaide. Eastern end I suspect, her arrangements were stunning. My friend Jo provided the most superb celebration of her birthday & her twin siblings.
Beautiful, great place to visit!
Great place to watch football, cricket and other events .. prices are expensive for food and drinks 🥘 🍺.. recommend to bring your own
Love going to the footy here. Perfect place to take the family for a great day out.Lots of activities for the kids in the kid zone during football games. My kids loved checking how high they could jump
Of course I am happy my team won, but the prices are just over the top!I also saw a security just so over the top when it came to a little maybe 10 years old stray perhaps 30 mt from his parents to be closer to the goals. He was insight of his parents who were keeping an eye on him and just not Yobbos in anyway! I would understand if it was a huge crowd but it was not and I feel the security man was way out of line
Adelaide oval! What more is there time say?! Well laid out. Enough toilets spread around. Good food and drink options. Close to hotels and public transport.
Magnificent venue. Modern features but steeped in history. The bar and hotel area is top notch. Had dinner at the Bespoke restaurant. Unreal. Service is great. Try the Tomahawk steak!
Great venue. People buying seats in the east stands should be aware the setting sun will be directly in front of them all afternoon. Venue catering and drinks are ok although a bit pricey. Captive market though. Also note if you buy tickets to see a rock concert some of the seats in the east and west stands suffer from a bit of echo as the stage noise reflects back from the south stand.
Stunning oval, state of the art building with snack shops and merchandise available.Ticket pric3s vary, depending on the section and the view.Toilets are clean usually except when there is a game/event happening, then have seen toilet paper strewn everywhere.Paid parking available underground and free parking across the traffic lights near women and children.
Unusual to watch rugby union at Adelaide Oval but it was fun and mostly well run. Unfortunately there was not much in the way of commentary, just occasional announcements. Given that the locals in Adelaide don’t often watch rugby I would have liked a running commentary of what was happening in the game. Thanks to eToro for the tickets!
Wow this is the first time I have been to an AFL match at the Adelaide oval and it was fantastic. We sat in the General admission area where the crowds and general banter between teams made the atmosphere exciting, the seats were comfortable and plenty of space to move. The general admission area is right near the goal posts so watching the game was right in front of you a lot of the time. There are plenty of food and drink services available and no long wait times in the cues. The grounds are completely cashless so you either need to take credit / debit card or you can put money on to a cashless card when you get their. All the café services are near the General seating area as are the public amenities which were clean and well stocked.Only down side is there is no roof over this area so when it rained we got a little wet. This is a smashing venue and I cannot wait to go back for another round.
A fairly good stadium combining the old and traditional (cricket boardswith the new (big spectator grandstand). Well located in the city with a nice short walk over the bridge from North Terrace side.
Always effectively and efficiently run for AFL games. Cant fault the friendliness and helpfulness of staff at Adelaide Oval
Great ground and facilities to watch the footy, even in the nose bleed sections.
We had great time at the Sir Donald Bradman Stadium stand. We had arranged a gala night event there, and I must say that the evening view from the stands was mesmerizing. The oval really is a great place to arrange corporate events.
Love going to the games such a fantastic atmosphere.
The best sports ground in Australia. Close to the city , close to the action. I love being up on the hill watching the footy
Great location and food.. accommodation is comfortable.. not sure if glassware were cleaned adequately between guests...
Really enjoyed the informative tour. Dont arrive late, they start bang on time. We arrived at 2 mins after the start and the group had already moved to the first section... thankfully we caught up quickly. (And we werent the last people to join the group)
Overall a great experience.Footy games are a whole different vibe! So many great opportunities at Adelaide oval located in North Adelaide, right across from the River Torrens. Roofclimbs, catering, weddings, accommodation, concerts.Would highly recommend to anyone for any type of experience. You wont be disappointed.
Went there today for a football match and had a blast. Toilets were clean, fresh and tidy the whole day, the food was hot and yummy and surprisingly reasonably priced and the kids zone was fantastic. Parking was easy as we got there for 1pm when the parking gates opened. $23.00 to park right there on the grass, right out the front which was very helpful and convenient. Had a great day out with the family.
Great service, food is absolutely fantastic. The bar staff are very knowledgeable with cocktail service. Rooms are very well laid out for the size with great mini bar selections at reasonable prices. Views from the rooms and restaurant are very calming. Overall we loved the whole experience and felt very refreshed after our stay.
Great Stadium for outdoor sports with huge seating capacity. Clean and tidy well maintained turf and venue. Professional practice blocks are also available inside the facilities.
Attended for a work function, all paid for by the company. The setting is great with views of the oval. The food was a bit mixed, the lamb being a bit tough and undercooked. Overall a great night given I didnt pay for it.
Went for an Awards night fantastic night the service and a stunning meal. And the entertainment for the night was great. The comedian was amazing never heard Baa Baa Black sheep sung in so many voices. Great venue
It was awesome experience to walk on the roof of Adelaide Oval!!! Only two of us as customer, and the staff were very professional and nice, talking about the history and well prepared for the talk. The only thing not good enough is the audio quality. We lost the signal multiple time.
Love the Bunker, good food, good food good beers, great wines and very prompt services. Sheltered from the rains. Can be rather noisy but its part of package deal I suppose. Totally enjoyable.
Great venue, great service, awesome food anda spectacular view. Highly reccommended (MJ)
Very average game but first class facilities. Unfortunately had to leave early due to rain but would definitely go back & make sure we get seats undercover.
Great stadium but they dont take legal tender here so make sure you have plastic
Just a great place. From time you Book in, to your Room - gorgeous room & views. To your final Departure. Love it.😊🙂
First time to a showdown between the Adelaide Crows and Port Power.First time seated on Level 5 in the Riverbank Stand.First time climbing that many levels and stairs before even having a beer. These photos dont do the view justice. I was amazed at how good the actual view is from up there. I really mean "up there", because we were Row AA which is after they had gone through the first A to Z rows below us 😏If you want to go to an event at Adelaide Oval and your only option is tickets in the "nosebleeds", dont be put off. You may be pleasantly surprised at how great the view of the oval is. I wont even complain about the 3000 stairs because my cardiovascular health gets the benefit of the climb in the long run 🪜❤️😂
Best footy ground in the Southern Hemisphere - especially when Port Power is there to play hard. Great venue for kids, well serviced during games and events, plenty of toilets and kiosks available when needed. All round well placed in the city and there is plenty of transport to and from the venue. Hope you enjoy a visit one day
Did the tour, my advice, do the tour! Our guide, Chris, was so knowledgeable. So much history around the AO and he knew it all and boy can he walk fast. The old scoreboard is a historical standout in this age of technology. The Bradman museum, the change rooms, the story behind Victor Richardson...wow! So much to take in. Thanks AO and Chris.
#AFLW Grand Final day 2022. Congratulations to the #AFLW Adelaide Crows Premiers this year. Anne Hatchard has written her name into the history books by winning the Best on Ground Medal in Adelaides win over Melbourne in the NAB AFLW Grand Final.Jessica Malboy starred in the center with her talent and charm during the halftime interval. JUST in case there was any lingering doubt, Adelaide has firmly cemented its claim as the first dynasty of the NAB AFLW competition, defeating Melbourne by 13 points to win its third premiership.
Magic stadium, my team lost but still had great evening with friends. Northern stand area well played out.
Its a great looking Stadium the facilities are next to none so much better than the older one cant wait to go back to see another game.
Adelaide Oval is one of the most iconic cricket ground in Australia. Located in North Adelaide just across the river Torrens, it is considered as one of the most picturesque grounds in the world. It was established in 1871 and recently completed its 150 year anniversary and the home to cricket, football, rugby, shows, concerts and events. Was quite impressed with stadium tour which was very knowledgeable and highly recommend if you want to know more about the ground.
Watched the strickers in a great atmosphere easy access to food and amenities and the best fireworks display Ive ever seen
We came to the adelaide oval for a christmas work function. Service was awesome, food came out in a timely manner, tables were attended quickly. The only issue i have is the limit of drink they have at the bar. They didnt serve shots or cocktails.
Like the pageant in the Oval, very great and different experience to the street one, kids all love it!
One of the most impressive stadium I have been so far. Best venue for footy sports esp cricket game.Complete facilities, very well maintained, accessible to public transport, centrally located in Adelaide, roght across Torenns Bridge, nearby casino, convention center, hospital, parks, entertainment, few parking spaces too.
One of the greatest cricket stadiums Ive ever seen. Great venue for everyone, with all the facilities when needed. Maintaining really well, and beautiful architecture. Located in the city with easy access to transport facilities. Ample parking available close to the venue.
Great place to watch footy or cricket! The facilities are great. Being located so close to the CBD its only a short walk across the Torrens.Love the fact that they open up the stadium to the public when not in use!
If there is a better sporting venue in the state I don’t know it because Adelaide Oval is the best sports venue in the state! The perfect place to watch a game, with great atmosphere it’s the place to be.It has heaps of facilities throughout the venue so it doesn’t get super crowded. The seating position around the oval is easy to navigate to. And the view is something to take in. Unfortunately the food can be under whelming at times and prices for drinks can be expensive.
