Adamo in Dumaguete

The pork belly with pancit is the most tender pork belly I had, its literally melts in the mouth.The sisig tacos are pretty decent too, comes with a fried quail egg.Crispy Pork has a perfect combination of taste and texture.Their beef variations of Beef Shank and BBQ Beef Shortplate was good too!

Probably the best food in town. Drop by before leaving the city.

Best to have a reservation because they get full easily. This is a proof to how good their food is. We had steak, prawn salad and longanisa buns and they are all very tasty

I have been here twice and both experiences were amazing. Excellent service, too . They were more than willing to help us surprise our birthday celebrant. All the dishes were delicious and their tiramisu is the best Ive ever had.

gourmet meal. not too pricey. place is not fancy. it is even like a modern carinderia but all food tastes good. my family loves tasting food from restaurants and i think this is one of the best there is in town, in terms of taste. all their meat are soft and tasty as compare to other restos.my dad who is a senior likes their meat spaghetti (red sauce, forgot name).i personally like all foods with meat. mind tou, im not a meat person. got drunk with wine aince my dad keeps pouring. we had a wonderful evening. waiter was attentive.although, since we are a family of coffee addicts, theirs is just like an ordinary brew. but its ok, if you come here, just try their meals.happy birthday my niece MJ! she had her 21st here!

Great Date night, intimate dining meet.We had two delicious Fish dishes, combined with an exceptional white wine choice. Will return soon.

Revisited after almost 4 years, the food scene in Dumaguete has improved and yet Adamo remains the best restaurant in the city (and probably this half of the island). I found the menu a bit toned down and catered for local tastes, which after COVID, makes sense. The cuisine is Filipino with a European twist. I would love to see some daily specials that would show the chefs true skill. All dishes were prepared well, portion sizes were good and spices on point.

I love the food here. Very tasteful in every bite. Will definitely come back.

The best restaurant in Dumaguete! They change their menu so theres always something new to try whenever I go home to Negros. My favorite for this trip is the crispy chicken bun! The chicken is so juicy and crispy! Its a shame I dont live in Dumaguete or I would have it for every meal!

Made a reservation via text thru their number +639165521626 and I was surprised I got a response in timely manner which I appreciate so much.The location is quite tricky to find if you’re not paying attention. Good thing I noticed the “adamo” sign on a grey wall. However, the restaurant is quite small to my surprise. They have few outside seating. On our table, it has different chairs. Some are taller than the others and some have backrest. Just my personal preference, I like when everything’s uniform.The food menu is small & interesting. It’s mostly Filipino food with a different take on it. I wish they would be able to put details what’s in the food so people would have an idea. I was with my foreigner friends and sometimes it gets tricky to explain what’s the food like. Its better to put like a photo or any description of the food. Also, I’d suggest to make their menu to be laminated so it won’t get crumpled, get wet or get dirty.There’s 6 of us and it’s mostly foreigners. 5 out of 6 food that we ordered were served cold. It was really disappointing given the price we are paying for. We ordered 2 smoked pork ribs & when they served it, the portions was relatively different. The other one has smaller & bad portion of the meat and side dish whilst the other one is better. Also, they will charge if you would like to EXCHANGE rice for fries which will cost you ₱90. The ala carte fries costs ₱95. 😅 Most of the food that we ordered are tasty except for the roasted fish. My friend had to ask for salt cus it was bland. The chef asked one of my friends who ordered smoked pork ribs and he told him that it was cold and the chef asked of he wants a replacement but my friend didn’t want it cus he already ate his cold food. To our surprise, the chef gave him a replacement for the meat. It tasted so much better cus it was still hot.For the service, not so good. The staff are not so attentive. We have to keep reminding them a couple of times for one thing like to give us more water. I noticed that they are not so organized in the kitchen cus when I tried to pay on the counter, the acting cashier have to serve food and I was just standing and patiently waiting for him.Also, they dont take cards for payment. Only cash & gcash.

We went to this place because its highly recommended and we were disappointed.We were 6 at the table. My food (beef shankwas good. The other 5 got their food served cold. You expect this in a carenderia, but not in an expensive restaurant. The fish wasnt cooked enough and the sauce had no taste.In mid-meal, the chef came to ask if we liked the food. The first person at our table told him that the food was served cold. The chef apologized and left immediately, without asking the others.He returned after 10 minutes and brought a new, hot dish to our friend. Good gesture but not enough.The service is basic.

Local fare fused with creative culinary touch. Sisig taco is a fusion of Filipino and Mexican dish combining roasted pig’s cheek meat and carne asada. These starters are really filling and went well with my ice-cold SMB Pale Pilsen. The grilled blackened salmon fillet on top of flavored sticky rice was really good. Topping it with soy sauce tamed its fishy taste. I was tempted to finish the rice but I have noodle plate to take care. The stir-fried noodles, bathed in soy sauce and other condiments, topped with smoked pork belly sprinkled with onion greens and spices is a new twist to a typical ‘pancit’ offering. I would say not bad at all on the new twist. And they were gone! I’m pretty satisfied and needless to say, ‘super-bus og’. Will surely come back and this time will try their famous tiramisu.And so I came back. I did a redo of sisig taco to kick off my appetite. This time I ordered the beef lengua, one of my favorite meat. And it didn’t disappoint. It’s soaked in a mildly thick beef-based broth sauce. Spiced up with some spices and topped with mushrooms. The beef lengua just melted in my own lengua 😂. It was so good. Not spicy but a well balanced concoction of beef lengua, mushrooms and sauce. You gotta try it.Tiramisu! A different touch with ice cream and I think ball-shaped whipped cream and dash of dark chocolate. One of the best Tiramisu I have ever tasted. Could be at par or better than the one I had in Rome.

This restaurant is so popular. You need a reservation to eat here. We got the Set Meal B. We were told that everything there was a best seller. It didnt disappoint. It was really very good. They have a very talented chef. And the dessert of chocolate pie and tiramisu were amazing! I would love to come back often.

Outdoor seating available.Located in a residential area. They serve wine though options are limited.

It is true what previous reviewers said, the roasted fish is good. The flavored shitake mushrooms that came with it were delicious.The only con I can mention is the very uncomfortable wooden chairs they have. It literally is a flat wood for both seat and backrest. I guess it can be a marketing strategy to make sure that guests leave after they eat because it would truly hurt your butt and back to seat here for long.

Nth-time coming over here but never had been frustrated of their served food... from their starters unto the steaks... with warm, accommodating service... I still can remember wayback then, even during the pandemic lockdown, where they had our orders delivered at home in a montero...

Remains to be the best resto in Dumaguete. Sinuglaw is a must try among others. Also, their steak and buns.

This is our go-to place for casual catch-ups to formal celebrations. Adamo never ceases to provide an explosive gastronomical experience without breaking the bank.Must order items in their menu:- Chicken Thigh with Gravy (comes with Tapa Rice)- Beef Belly Pasta- Steak (quite pricey, but it’s good for 3-5 people)

Possibly the best tofu dish I’ve had in Dumaguete. Their crispy fried tofu with kimchi rice is a must-try. Their take on tiramisu (see photois also worth having when you’re there.Service is excellent, toilet is clean, and they have outdoor seating, which is essential now given the pandemic.People used to restaurant prices in Manila will find the prices here on the cheap side. For 1,000 pesos we got a salad, two mains, dessert, a softdrink, and a beer. Not bad.

Local food prepared with competence and care. A small but well thought out menu. Staff was attentive and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Wine and beer options available. A few liquor options would be a nice addition.

We made our way here while our laundry was being done and we really enjoyed our meal. We went with the short ribs, the pork belly pasta and sisig tacos (and of course the mango shake with Carmel and corn flakes).I really wanted to give this place a 5 as the food was really good (I preferred Sans Rival on Rizal St.but the pricing is what made me go with 4.

Ive always wanted to come here because Ive heard a lot of good things about it. I ordered the BBQ Beef Short Ribs, Beef Pasta and their Sisig Taco. I think the Beef Pasta was just alright for me but the rest was really good. I liked how the sisig taco wasnt too oily or greasy. I cant wait to come back and try their other items.

One of the best restaurants in Dumaguete. Service can be pretty slow and not up to good standards especially when the restaurant is busy but a food is always good.

Was plan to eat at this place on Monday night, so Sunday evening we walk by to check up the menu found they close on Monday, so we change the plan dining here tonight.We already shrimp with fresh pasta, smoked pork belly, both services fast and taste really good! So far the best meal we had in 10 days of Oslob & Dumaguete.Plus one coffee and one beer, bill just over 600 peso, which we think is really good value with the quality of food the provided.

I love this place in Dumaguete! I bring all my first time visitors in this place and they never fail to be so happy and satisfied with the food and the taste. I love their ribs and their fish dishes. Though menu is not that many but all of which are really tasty. Their feel is FILIPINO taste with a twist.

Food is def delicious if you are willing to wait an hour for serving on full house. Im just not sure if it was worth the wait tho.

Great food, best I have had during my travel in the Philippines! Stop eating at your resort, eat at Adamo! So much better quality, taste and service wish! Prices are also very reasonable for the quality you get. We will be back!

Food is superb! Ambiance is nice . A great place to dine in with friends and family, and talk anything and everything.

The place is quite small and its overall mood feels intimate, not too uptight (although I suggest you refrain from wearing flip-flops in this place). And all this is a compliment. Dont be fooled by its very simple and straightforward menu. Everything that this restaurant has to offer is hands down lip-smacking and worth every peso. A must-try are its prawn pasta, roasted fish, pork buns, and tiramissu. I cannot wait to return to this place someday and discover that its offerings have expanded. Easily one of the few best restos in Dumaguete.

Visited with my boyfriend. Was a little sad with the toilet since it was very muddy. A rug would do the job both outside and inside so it wont be muddy. Nice ambience. Good food. When we went to eat here, the interns had a little mixed up with the other table. The chef however, personally went to our table and apologized to us and gave us complimentary dessert. Yum!

Place has a rustic feels to it. The design is well thought of, tables are hard wood (those used in mining). But the most important of all, the food, easily its one of the best Ive eaten here in Dumaguete which doesnt take too much of your budget. Try out their pork ribs! Support!
