Achari Indian Restaurant - Indian restaurant in Limerick, Ireland
Achari Indian Restaurant in Limerick
Description
Privilege
3 dishes ,absolutely vile ,lamb dish grizzle and tough ,chicken dishes ,tastless sauces thick and looked microwaved .chip soggy and cold very very disappointing.
MoreThe most disgusting place Ive ever been. The place was recommended to us some time ago so we visited for my husbands birthday. We walked in and the carpet up the stairs was absolutely filthy as was the handrail, I was afraid to touch it. We gave it the benefit of the doubt but shouldnt have bothered. The food was awful. I was handed nothing but a bowl of mush with lots of potatoes and what was obviously frozen veg. The toilets were also disgusting with no hand towels or dryers. There was no childrens menu and they dont do desserts. Please dont ever visit this place!
MoreGood portion. All dish tastes the same
Worst worst worst worst worst worst.please dont order from them ever. Minus -10 0ut of 10.they are just rip off.bad service.dont respect customer.I will post my review everyday till everyone stop ordering from them..
MoreI have never eaten that much bad Roti (Bread in my whole life ...Lumpy dough ... worst worst worst ...Never will order again..
MoreReally lovely food and the staff were great
I used to order from here all the time.. About once a week. But in the last few months their quality has gone way down, between the food being cold and 3 times they had forgotten main courses and rice dishes. When I would call to ask for them to be delivered or refunded they would often act really rude and hang up the calls. I would ignore all old reviews for this restaurant as they were really good but have gone down hill. Also, the poppadoms are always burnt.
MoreOrdered just a Raita & a Mango lassi drink.Very strong taste of mold of the Raita, went straight to the bin after tasting it twice, (to make sure that i wasnt just imagining it)Mango lassi was very warm (its supposed to contain yogurt!? Should be in the fridge!?)Didnt even finish it, scared of food poisoning.Never going back.
MoreWorst food, all curries are with same gravy... Vegetarian and non veg curries are same taste.... Tasteless food...
MoreFantastic food and good service. Highly recommended. Cant fault it after many visits
MoreAbsolutely amazing food top quailty fresh indgrediants and authentic flavours amazingly friendly staff and always consistant food and service would highly recomend
MoreGreat food and very helpful staff, dont be fooled by those bad reviews.
It is open at the moment not sure why it says closed. Brilliant food!! Get it weekly!
MoreGirlfriend ordered from here a few days ago. Food was good until I found a hair in mine. No naan or chips, just a couple of papadams, despite the advert saying we would get naan or chips. I dont recommend eating here.
MoreI talked to staff and owner of this restaurant they all are Pakistani not Indian but using Indian name for restaurant idk why?! Food was not properly heated, this place is understaffed but helpful staff.Taste is average needs to relearn how to cook certain traditional dishes.
MoreBad experience. Not even close to authentic Indian cuisine. Ordered for Chettinadu curry it was like tomato curry. Delivery was poor and it was delivered after 2 hrs
MoreExcellent food, great choice on the menu, you will not be disappointed for sit down.
MoreApart from the veg bhaji starter, everything else was terrible. 4 mains and not one was worth the money. Shame as the restaurant actually looked quite good!
MoreOne of the worst Indian food I have ever tasted. Very low quality and badly prepared. I feel this guy has to seriously learn how to cook Indian foods (at least eatable). Very disappointed and will never go to this place again
MoreVery testy indian food in achari indian restaurant. So testy
Food was quite terrible. It is unfortunate that this passes for Indian food here. We got one biryani and one fired rice. The fried rice felt like a cheap pilaf and the biryani was using some generic curry powder. Prawn momos were just some fried stuff. This was an experience I would like to forget but too bad I cant forget how much of a poor excuse for Indian food this was very soon.
MoreHad not received my on-line order when I arrived to collect. The food on this occasion was OK, Ill reserve judgement until Ive had at least 3 meals.
MoreOne of the best Veg biryanis in Limerick, however their curries a bit too oily for me personally!
MoreI ordered in April and everything was fresh and delicious. I ordered this week and everything was un-fresh and old. Mutton in the curry, chicken in the biryani and entire BBQ clearly looked 3-5 days old. You can see in the pictures how un fresh was the meat and same is evident from the curry picture as well.Gladly we have ducks in the city so we fed them instead of throwing to dustbin.I don’t know what has been changed in last 2 months either the chef or the owner but quality has been reduced from 10 to 0. Worst experience
MoreThe food was utterly delicious, tasty and spicy and made to suit your requirements (mild, medium or hot). The staff were incredibly friendly and when we had a small issue with our bill, it was sorted out quickly and painlessly.
MoreOfficially the worst Indian food I have ever eaten.Sauces were like bad soup with spice.Entrance was really grubby and smelly. On the upside staff were really nice and food was timely will never return
MoreMango lassi is terrible. Didnt serve water at the beginning. Vegetable rice was cold. Prices are very expensive and quality is very poor.
MoreVery good food, priced ok, im a repeat customer there, so that says it all. The star loss is , it as a restaurant could do with a lick of paint! But this has not stopped me going as the real star has to be the food. Would reccomend a visit👍🙂
MoreJust Stopped there for a Dinner. On the way back from a long motorway Journey... Amazing food.. Preparation time was Fantastic. Within minutes the food was ready on our table. Would definetly recommend it to any out there. Even the man at reception was very professional and took good care of us.
MoreLove this place. Their taste is really nice, delicious and etc etc. Very quite and clean atmosphere and i would recommend people to go there and atleast taste their food once. Nd i hope u would definitely go back to eat again.
MoreFantastic fresh food (& I’ve eaten at a lot of Indian-style restaurants)! Very nice combination of flavors. Meal deals for students, delivery, stays open late. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, fun even heart-felt music. I rarely write reviews. Go!
MoreWe cannot get enough of this place and order almost on a weekly basis! The curries are delicious and the customer service is fantastic. Best curry house in Limerick :)
MoreStaff very professional, Greeted politely on arrival. Restaurant was clean and warm with lovely soft lighting, really relaxing atmosphere. Had enough time to order and was perfectly timed between each course. We were a few mins late for the early bird menu but staff still accommodated us, and after all of this, the food was absolutely AMAZING!!! I can honestly say it is the best Indian food I have ever tasted! We will definitely be back and highly recommend Achari to all Indian food lovers!
MoreHave been eating Manzoors lovely food for years now...sometimes twice a week!!!Ragda Patties are my favourite, Veg Bhajias next. Followed by Chicken Achari or Murgh Husseini.Highly recommend Achari Restaurant. Great food & lovely staff❤😍👍
MoreNice little Indian restaurant, with some good offers from the menu. However, there was very slow service. It took over 2.5h to complete a three course meal. Slow waitering, slow to produce food, slow to collect plates. Allows you to bring your own drink, and has no service charge, and no corkage fee.
MoreI honestly don’t understand how this place has received such positive reviews when I would say this was the WORST INDIAN Restaurant I have been to in my lifetime. When we arrived - despite less than 50% occupied - the waiting staff and had not kept the table ready.. and was grossly understaffed.. with one server attending to takeaway orders and the restaurant. On occasions, we did see back of house staff come to the front.. but they were in shoddy casuals and not at all the smart dress code which did ruin the experience of being at a restaurant. The service was painfully slow and unresponsive and the food was awful.. BECAUSE I HAD FOOD POISONING from their Tandoori Chicken.. it was bland, over cooked and laden in oil.The vegetarian food didn’t fare any better as my in-laws and husband didn’t feel well either. The server also didn’t care to ask if everything was okay and as per our expectations after he had served the foodThe place looked like it had already given up and was genuinely piggybacking on the back of false PR- it’s undeserved. This place deserves to be shutdown immediately given how ill it made me and my family.A bloody insult to the institution of Indian Gastronomy - AVOID AT ALL TIMES.
MoreThis restaurant is fabulous. Best meal I had in 7 years of living in Ireland . Very nice people and friendly staff.I call in now every time im working or passing through limerick
MoreFood ok place leaves a lot to be desired
The best Indian food that Ive had in Limerick. Great service too, they are very helpful when someone in your party has an allergy. They will also make the food hotter or milder to taste. I cant recommend them enough.
MoreAbsolutely amazing Indian food! The only one we order from now! Myself and my college housemates order from this indian at least twice a month (if not moreand it has never been anything other than amazing! Food quality and taste is high all the time and it is so reasonably priced! the Jalfrezi is beyond amazing and the popadoms are to die for! The delivery driver is also such a gem! Such a nice guy and when we became repeat customers and got to know him better we had lovely chats while collecting our food! Could not recommend this place enough! TRY IT! Much love from your regular Ashdown customers <3
MoreOrdered over the phone, where I was told it would take 20/25 minutes. An hour later I was still waiting for food. When I got home I noticed I didnt even get my main dish. Just got side dishes. Didnt apologise for making me wait and didnt get my correct food
MoreVery delicious food, nice and tasty. Various menu. Great personel and service. I just comeback ; I realy enjoyed.
MoreOne of the best Indian restaurants in limerick,Delicious food, lovely friendly staff in a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend and we will return very soon for another fabulous meal. Very satisfied customers.
MoreAbsolutely fantastic food for a very reasonable price. I eat a lot of Indian and I have to say its the best Ive tried. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the there is no long waits for food. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavour. A great place to go with family for dinner or take out with friends, I highly recommend this to all fans of curry or those who wish go try it.
MoreGood food, bring your own beer/wine
My wife is a vegetarian, hence we tend to seek out alot of Indian restaurants. This one is one of the best ones Ive frequented around limerick. The restaurant is a little small but the food is really good and the service is excellent. Chicken Marsalas and Vegetable curries are not pasty and have the right amount of spice. Starters are really good also. If you like this cuisine give this new restaurant a try, you wont be disappointed
MoreGreat place visit last week find a fantastic delicious food beef bazori is a great taste find in Indian food, smooth taste close to my nature. Definitely recommend this place price is very reasonable have a lot of choice to suits everyone.
MoreVery nice restaurant, decor was lovely, good environment inside and service was very professional. The prices were very reasonable and food was some of the best Ive found in Limerick. Highly recommended.
