Abu Jaber Museum - Museum in As Salt, Jordan
One of the museums that deserves to seen. Free entry. Brochures are available. Souvenirs near by. Not suitable for elderly or wheelchairs. The building itself is beautiful, historical, and wonderful with its small staircases, halls, building stones and the big numbers of rooms. A lot of information about SALT Town and Jordan in general. A must seen museum. Most attractions in Salt are walking distance.
Amazing
Fair enough
A must visit in Salt. I recommend you take your family and visit it to show them a great renovated heritage place.
Free entrance to the museum, they hand out pamphlets and cds with different information about the city. The museum is the house of Abu Jaber (a merchant / traderbuilt in 1887 which they turned into a museum in 2010.

Free museum, should be your first stop in the city. They also hand out very good information on how to walk through the city with all the details you need.Very friendly staff as well
It looks small from the outside, but its very rich inside and lady gave us tour thorugh Al Salt history
Very interesting, you learn a lot about the history of Salt City. Like this: According to a British person, Salt City had about 50% Christians in the end of the 19th century.
if youโre in Salt then worth a quick visit, otherwise no need. Lots of information. No cost
Amazing culture and history, one of my favourite places in assalt. If u are lucky you would meet Mr Ayman Abu Rumman, a walking encyclopedia about Assalt history...
Interesting place, small but nice.
A must see museum at AsSalt heritage beautiful city
Historic Old Salt Museum Built for the Abu Jaber family between 1896 and 1905 by the architect Abdel Rahman al Aqrouq, the Abu Jaber House is the finest heritage building in As-Salt, and one of the most significant architectural icons of Jordan. Since 2010 it houses the Historic Old Salt Museum which recounts the history of the city in its Golden Age, between the end of the 19th century and the 1930s
Great place , so beautiful
Very good experience, delicious food, excellent service and awesome outdoor seating
A very nice and well organized place, the staff is also very hospitable, and wouldnt hesitate in giving you a tour and explain the smallest details to you
A Must visit place in Al-Salt city
Nice ancient palace
An old house that was built in the late 19th century / early 20th century, when King Abdullah the first the founder of the Jordanian Hashemite kingdom first came to Jordan from Hijaz, he lived in this house as a guest until his residence was prepared, it was turned to a museum when he first came to the Kingdom from Hijaz, this three-story building that was owned by a wealthy merchant and turned into a museum in the 21st century is not well used, it contains very few artifacts/furniture on exhibit. It is a nice place to visit if you are in the area, but I wouldnโt recommend taking a special trip to see it, it is not worth it.
Highly recommended, worth the visit, you have to start from the basement and take reset and breath As-salt air in the balcony at the last floor, historical place talking about As-salt.
very good to visit.
I loved this place, i felt like im living the same age
the museum has some interesting pieces but for me it is not worth it.
It talks about al salt historyis highly recommended to visit when you reach alsalt city
Nice building, friendly staff, good tourism agency next door but have found the museum a bit empty. I think that they should increase the number of exhibits or maybe some of them should be interactive.
Very nice
Less knowledge not experience employees
Dusty but charming House-museum
Loved the museum of Abu Jaber. It was the magnificent house of the famous Marchant "Abu Jaber".Very big, lots of stairs though has a comfortable lift in case you need it.
One of the most popular places in Al-Salt. A small heritage museum full of cultural information about the city.A fantastic view from the outdoor terrace overlooking the old city of Al-Salt.The whole visit takes between 30 mints to 1 hour.Thereโs no place to park your car, and the area is so crowded.
The most popular and famous place to visit in Salt.. its so full of culture and history. Definitely recommend it.
A small museum in the centre of the beautiful old city of As-Salt. Built in the late 19th century and it has coloured glasses on its windows. There is a information office at its entrance with souvenir shops near it. You can get a detail discription and location map of the historic buildings in the area. The first of which is this museum. Its a small yet sweet place. Not much to see but as a whole salt has a beautiful experience to offer. All of the sites to see are just walking distance from this museum. Not far from Ammam. A perfect place to visit for a weekend trip.
Very small road... Its hard to fund a park
Not much to see waste of time
truthfully, its a special historical place having an old traditional decoration ...which belongs to an old family called abu jaber home..you will feel how great its when you see how was the room ,the kitchen and old oven...with alot department and avery shiny balcony..๐๐
A very unique Historical place
fantastic tourism place..its an old building with an amazing decoration..they were too lucky in the past to live in...and a great care paid for it.
Its one of the museums that show the architecture style of old salt
I am not sure if we can call it a museum, and also there is no restaurant or even a cafeteria inside of it.
It had many artifacts and traditional items used by Jordanians that helped me learn more about my own culture. Im s very educational.
Iam enjoy in this city. ..my best friend there ๐คโ๐ท๐ต๐
No enough informations; besides no help from employees is offered
