Best Absintherie in town. Well: For me it is, but of course I havent visited all.Nice small place, live piano music, friendly staff, good drinks selection.

Epic place if you really can appreciate top places.Friendly staff with an amazing Absent variety. Top cocktails. Piano life music. Absolutely top atmosphere.

This is the first time I am writing a review on a Bar. I havent tasted alcohol for all my life and hopefully will never do that in future with Gods grace. I am a forensic anthropologist and got the opportunity to present my research in one of the biggest forensic conferences of Europe and the world EAFS which happened in 2015 at Prague. I had two papers that I represented there. During conference I made friend with Irene Chuha, a forensic chemist. She was Indonesian and was doing her PHD in Australia. We were roaming on Old town square and she asked if I know best shop for Absinth. I said I have no Idea what Absinth means. She laughed and asked me if i ever tasted alcohol. I said I never tasted. She was surprised and told me that this is alcohol and native to Czech people. She then googled the best absinth shop in Prague. Later we followed the google path and reached Absintheria. I really admire the opening gate of the shop which was adorned by a vintage bicycle. The wholes hope was all green and many non-alcoholic beverages were also there. She bought two bottles of Absinth for her friend and I was looking around the shop. There was an original human skeleton decorated with different things. I was thinking about the laws about carrying human bones for decoration. May be it is OK in Czech Republic. For one moment I was thinking about the ethics for human bones as they deserve the same respect as like a living human being. She told me that this Absinth is known as green fairy and is a popular drink even in Australia. I have seen many people not native to Prague buying absinth from this store. I guess this is an authentic store for Absinth. With this review I dont promote Alcohol drinking by any mean. I do not promote it instead I discourage people from drinking alcohol. This review should not be considered as a promotion. I hope you will have great time in Prague. be safe and wear your mask. All the best.

If you want to taste high quality of Absinth, its the place to be ! Dont hesitate to ask recommandations to barmaid, theyll give you tips for sure !

I was there in July and it was a great place. I had never tried real quality absinthe before and there is truly a wide selection of french, local or other brands... It was a great experience and the service was also great, the waitress was I think called Denissa, she was really helpful and cool. I recommend the place, if you are truly interested in trying a classy glass of absinthe 😉

Nice Place to get a proper served absinth in Prague. The staff was well prepared and friendly. Be sure to visit this Place early in the evening becouse they close pretty early usually.

Awesome place in the center of Prague!We googled this place while searching for the best absinthe bar in Prague, and found this. We went around 9-10pm and it was still quite empty. The service/waiters were super nice and they helped us order/recommended us what and how to drink. Definitely ask for recommendations and guidance if you havent been to an absinth bar before!We tried a few of the cocktails and the bohemian way of drinking absinthe. We also met such nice people/complete strangers at the other table, who came to drink with us. The atmosphere here was reaaaally nice and chill. I enjoyed my time here a lot. I will definitely come back.

I’ve tried absinthe at home, but nothing can compare to the real deal in an authentic bar. The staff was amazingly helpful in finding just the right style to suit my palate. If you’re visiting Prague, Absintherie Jilská is a absolute must.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a wide range of Absinthe from a variety of countries. A bit on the pricy side, but it’s not every day you get to try absinthe in the proper way.

Quirky, seemingly hip and definitely a local spot are the first impressions. Definitely a haven or a heaven for authentic Absinthe lovers… We came here as part of a tour for Absinthe with an Airbnb group. Everything was really 5 star worthy with the exception of rude staff and some patrons. Making off shot comments to us to make clear they were either too cool for school, inebriated beyond their manners or perturbed by tourists. I leave reviews and I never take them lightly; particularly if I am giving critique. I don’t think the how’s and why’s are important but I will say that our experience with aggressive and unprofessional persons here was genuine. Otherwise great place! Don’t let that stop you, it could have been a bad day for whomever was warming a bar stool or bussing drinks around. Cheers…

Our server was really friendly. She explained the different methods of which drinks could be served. Postcards, posters, and magnets souvenirs are available for purchase. Also, the menu has history of the drink and you can pay in cash for 10% off!

OmG..this is hands down the best set of cocktails Ive enjoyed in my 45 years. Unreal..never had absinthe before this, and the bartenders are expert mixologist. A MUST unique experience in Prague.

A must visit for anyone whos looking for some variety from regular cocktail bars and beer gardens.This is an Absinth Valhalla with an incredible amount of absinths to choose from. Our bartender was very attentive and explained everything in detail and was extremely helpful.Be sure to get your cameras ready for the preparation process, its a mini fire show.Prices are not cheap, but its a unique experience worth trying. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience! I’ve never tried something like that before, so I was really excited when this bar finally shows me how all those alcohol should be prepared and served. Strong alcohol requires alot effort. Anyways, as a final result, you will have good absentee. Cool experience, recommend

A bit loud, not a lot of space but the bartenders were great, could give nice recommendations, explanations and history or absinthe to virgins 😄 the macerated absinthe was heavenly on the tongue and even smoother with some added cold water, went down the throat almost too easily

As I’m not a fan of bars in this touristic area of Prague and moreover I’m not a fan of Absinth… I have to admit this is really cool place! Dozens of types of absinth prepared by the bartender in a way that the cocktails turn out to be really good! Came for one shot - stayed for 4 cocktails. Definitely will come back again!
