Service is great for the number of guests. Food and beer are good for regular visits. Dog and family friendly. Be nice to the church next door!!

The manager lady was completely arrogant and so unprofessional to the servers. The servers were great though. Feel bad for whoever works there.

An absolute must go while in town. Beers were excellent. Loved the pretzels and mustard. Will be back again!

We started coming to Abridged earlier this year, and it has quickly turned into one of our favorite spots in Knoxville! The food is always phenomenal, and we love the atmosphere. I love getting to try the new burger/chicken sandwich of the month, and the sours and ciders are always amazing too!

New to TN from CA, been desperate to find somewhere with good beer/food AND service...THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! Devyn was our server-AMAZING- all the staff was amazing, everyone helps run food and drinks so youre never waiting...take it from two long time restaurant industry workers, this is the place to go!

Southern style brewery with warm faces and good food. Only beer at this location. Busy hours are busy, and there WILL be a wait. Just have a crafted brew and enjoy the ambience. The food is worth the wait.

Nice outdoor space with some shade. Great selection of IPAs, lagers, and sours. Loved my pimento cheese chicken sandwich.

Friday night, 8pm: twenty five minutes to get a beer served outdoors. One server says printer error, the other days “we only have one bartender” (on a Friday?either way- to slow for my taste. Too bad, as the servers were nice and the outdoor seating area is great, and dog friendly.Easy parking. Limited food menu. Menu is QR code access only (which I don’t love- forces you to be on your cell phone when you don’t want to be)

Absolutely do not recommend. We had to wait 40 minutes to be seated when the guy said it would be 20 minutes. Once we got seated, we had to wait another 15 minutes for our server. Then we had to wait another 40 minutes for our food. We saw our server once the entire time we ate there. I had to get up and get someone to get some extra ketchup because no one ever came to check on us. Do not eat here if your hungry because you will not actually get your food until 2 hours after you get there.

The Abridged Burger is remarkable! The bun has a perfect texture, a toasted shell with a pillowy inside. The patty has a unique flavor, and is so juicy and tender. I love that they use fried brussels instead of lettuce, and the aoli is fantastic. Its definitely a contender for best burger in Knoxville!

Decided to have sours today and they didn’t disappoint. I especially liked the guava. We also had our 2 favorite meals, Abridged burger and pot roast nachos.

We have been here many times and it is a "go to" for friendly service, outstanding burgers, and great craft brew. We always take our out of town guests here when they visit. This place wont disappoint.

Love the beer here. Great food. Wonderful place to meet clients or a date night. Burgers are second only to their burger truck. Love the alright alright. Never had anything that wasnt excellent here.

Everyone has been telling me this place has the best burger in Knoxville so I had to try it. Space was super cool and busy. Service was friendly and the food was really good! I ordered the Abridged burger and it did not disappoint. Had a great experience and will be back for sure.

Previously, I would’ve given a five star review, but they changed their wings. The old wings were french cut and had all the meat pushed up to one end. They were fantastic. The new wings are from some nasty, roided out chickens like any other low-tier restaurant. Very disappointing.Good beer though.

At the retail store where I work the boss buys lunch for the employees every Saturday... we eat twice a month from Abridged. This past Saturday I called and ordered for 5 of us, one special order(no onions), gave the bosses credit card number and my cell number. They got the cc number wrong so when I got there the food wasnt paid for. I had to put the hundred dollar check on my card. Got back to the store and there was an extra lunch that wasnt ordered but on the bill. Onions on the bosses burger. A lot of hassle. On the good side the food was great!

You can get a side of asparagus and peppers for $1 more than fries so I opted to upgrade. They accidentally brought me fries instead of my asparagus when my order came so they brought me my asparagus on the side.The burger is small but mighty. It is very compact and flavorful. I got a cheeseburger with cheddar instead of white American cheese that is comes with. I the only thing I would improve would be to make my burger a little wider instead of taller so it was a bite of bun with burger instead of having an extra half inch of burger bun left when I was done. Otherwise the burger was juicy and delicious.The fries were good with seasoning on them. I like crispy fries so I liked these. The asparagus was super fresh off the grill and yummy too. Looked like they may have some outdoor stuff like corn hole (bean bag tosswhen the weather is nicer. Will have to bring the kids when the weather gets better.I was cold outside but my husband thought it was great in a T-shirt and jeans. I had to get a blanket from the car and I was still cold. I probably should have just sat inside haha.

Been here about three times, a friend left his prescription sunglasses behind and they were turned in and put in the safe until he could come and pick them up. Inside and outside seating with chill atmosphere.The Abridge Burger is phenomenal, and the brews are too. Definitely recommend if you havent tried it you will not be disappointed.

We just snacked (pretzels and nachosso cant speak much to the food, but we enjoyed what we ordered. The beers were great, I stuck with my usual pilsners and lagers but Melissa had a stout that she enjoyed and someone else in our party had a couple of the seltzers. The staff was very nice. And I broke down and bought one of the soft t-shirts on our way out. Would come back again.

Do yourself a favor and eat here! Youll be glad that you did. Most breweries focus on their craft brews and have food that is just good enough to keep people coming back. This place on the other hand was all around perfect. The beers were 5 star as well as the food! The wings I had were perfectly cooked and had the proper crisp when you bit into them. The Abridged burger I had was one of the juiciest, flavorful and well executed burger Ive ever hand. It is definitely my new Top 5 places to eat. Traveling a lot for work I get to many different places but this one here really impressed me. To add to the great food and drinks, the staff was absolutely amazing! Wendy was our server and she was nice, on top of everything and incredibly friendly! Ill definitely be stopping here again the next time Im in town.

Some places you visit for the drinks, some for the food. This place has nailed both! Absolutely recommend the classic abridged burger. It is a messy dish of goodness. We got lagers and sours, both fantastic. Really enjoyed the pink ink. Staff was friendly and prompt. Family-friendly environment. Only room for improvement- TV outside for some Vols games on the patio.

Had such a great experience here! First time here and we were so pleasantly surprised by the genuine friendliness of the crew! Outstanding people here! The beer was excellent and love the grilled chicken salad! Such a nice relaxed atmosphere! Also just a heads up, park in the church parking lot next door!

Tasty products, but horrible pours - missing a few ounces here, making my 12 oz beer about 9.5oz (see photo - that was how it was delivered to me - this needs to be topped off before delivery to customer!).They need to display a beer menu outside if ordering outside - you cant have customers walk up to order without having already seen a menu. Also need more than one person taking orders. Long line and its located right where people are entering and exiting the location at. Have people wait elsewhere to order and pickup beer. Overall, the layout needs improvement.Pretzels with pimento was on point - really tasty. Didnt feel like waiting in line for round 2, and being short changed on another short pour.Overall, good product but could be better delivery of said product.Been here multiple times, but I hate being short changed on pours and waiting outside in the sun just to have a beer or two. (Didnt need a table, was going to eat an entire meal or stay long).The staff was friendly. Overall 3 stars.

Great beers. I liked the Sours they had. My buddies usually drink the ipa’s but people that drink sours are faster on mountain bikes.

Knoxville has plenty of places to get a good burger, but Abridged currently sits at the top of the list. Yes, even better than Stock and Barrel. Importantly, Abridgeds food menu is not a one-trick-pony. Chicken sandwiches, appetizers, and sides are all excellent - this is a gastropub where the food is maybe better than the beer.And, speaking of the beer, its nothing to complain about either. Abridged products are generally high quality, and many are offered to-go. While the West Knox location doesnt have the breadth of funky options the Oak Room location does, theres still plenty of high quality drink at a reasonable price.Just make sure you come at meal time.

We love this place!The monthly specials are awesome. I had the Cubano burger - you’d be crazy not to get it. Mph and the fries are the best.And the beer is pretty darn good too!!

THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST BEER , FOOD, AND SERVERS. OUR SERVER JENNY WAS AWESOME. SHE TOOK THE TIME TI TELL US ABOUT THE BEER SELECTIONS. MADE RECOMMENDATIONS AND HAD A AMAZING SMILE. WE HAD POT ROAST NACHOS, MAPLE CHICKEN SANDWICH, AND BRISKET BURGER. THE BEERS ARE AMAZING. WE WILL BE BACK.

We enjoyed the patio on a brisk, sunny Spring afternoon today. I remember when this place was a closed garage when I worked close by. I wish this place was open back then because the food and beers are wonderful.The Abridged Burger is legendary, with its applewood smoked bacon, white American cheese, sautéed onions, aioli and fried brussels sprout leaves. The fried chicken and pimento cheese sandwich was also fantastic.

They have some secret sauce in the burger, probably the best burger Ive ever had. All the beers are made in house and are of high quality. I recommend getting flights to experience all you can. The servers were immensely knowledgeable about any beer and even future beers releasing soon. 10/10 will come again.

In terms of atmosphere, Abridged is my favorite place in Knoxville. Fantastic beer and food (try their burger, it’s so juicy), awesome location and great service. I’d give an extra star for having bike racks, if I could!

Best beer in town and Im not much of a beer drinker. All the sours were my favorite. The burger was very tasty, a little greasy for my liking, but still very good. The asparagus with the crispy garlic on it was a nice touch. So good!!! I would definitely recommend and go back.

This place is no joke and I’m seriously impressed. The Hill’s Pils and fried chicken sandwich (and potato saladare the perfect pairing and absolutely delicious! If I were a local I’d no doubt visit weekly to have this pairing, over and over, and never grow tired of it. Wow!

This place has the best burgers in Knoxville. All of the beef comes fresh from Willys butcher. The jalapimento burger, which comes with pickled jalapeños and homemade pimento cheese, is my personal fav! It was Novembers burger of the month. Also - their beers are great too! They are constantly switching them out, but I’ve never had one there I didn’t like!

Ive been traveling around and doing the Knox Ale Trail for a few months now and decided to stop at Abridged while running errands. The atmosphere was super relaxed and the dining room as well as the outdoor seating was bustling. Its sort of a deli style ordering system where you make your order and then sit anywhere you like. I ordered a flight to try all of the beers that I was interested in and really enjoyed everything I tried. I am a big fan of sours, so I was really excited to see 3 different goses on the menu.

Although I am not a beer drinker, my husband is and really enjoyed his! I had a great cider and sampled the gose, which wasnt too bad. Friendly staff and enjoyable atmosphere! They opened on a Sunday for KTC beer run series we were participating in and brought in Archers bbq. We will definitely return with our adult kids and sample their food!

One of my favorite breweries in town. If you like sour beers, this is your spot. Their flagship Toppy Rock IPA is on point. They always have a fun burger or the month and creative dessert. I personally love the pimento cheese and pretzels.

We were here on a super busy Saturday night and it was still fantastic. Amazing pot roast nachos, awesome burgers, really excellent beer options (get a flight!and the atmosphere is family friendly fun without being too loud or obnoxious. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and helpful. This is just a great place to spend a few hours with friends. Don’t hesitate to ask the staff what’s great - you might even find a hidden menu option like the pizza fries with tiny pepperonis.

Was in town taking my BJCP exam and asked for a good place to get a bite that has good beer. Abridged was recommended. Wife and I stopped in and we are glad we did. Food was fantastic and beers were good. Super cool place. Will definitely be back to see them our next visit to Knoxville

With the ever growing count of breweries opening here in ol knoxvegas, this one stands out among the best this vol country has to offer. Whether youre new to craft drinking or one of the handful of cicerone certified beer officiando, this place must be on your list of to visits. The staff is more than accommodating and you can tell they are passionate of their craft. As a long member of the service industry and coming from several bars and breweries myself, I cannot recommend this place any more highly. If youre in town stopping for the night or been bleeding orange before you could walk, I implore you to check this place out!

One of the best breweries in Knoxville. We had a flight that exceeded expectations and a Raspberry sour called Darla that blew our freakin minds. If youre in the area and you like beer, its hard to beat Abridged.

Great new brewpub in west knox. Tasty beers and great food. Probably the best wings in knoxville and a great patio for those nice summer nights.
