Spectacular view. Fabulous food. Our server Maro was great. Cant imagine a more special dinner in Dubrovnik.

Incredibile experience, as you expect in a Michelin Restaurant with an amazing attention to details.First we didnt book, we just walked and found a spot at 21:15, we were very lucky.Waiters were prepared, very kind and warm.On a scale to 1 to 10, I will give them 100.They tried to accomodate my girlfriend vegeterian request and I really appreciated that.I took a glass of Volarevic Posip 2021 was crispy and fruity, not acid at all, perfect with sea food.I forgot to ask about the bread hydration but It was marvellous served with two special butters - one was homemade Japanese Miso.The prawn cerviche was a wonderful Latin American moment. I cant describe how fresh and tasty were the prawns.Fresh and spicy, I loved it!The chef prepared Portobello mushrooms ravioli with Parmesan that were out of this world, never ate something like that.Also how they cooked the cabbage as a side of my octopus was so rich in flavour with a curry mayonnaise, simply delicious!My dessert was good a Mango Panna Cotta, but the Basil-Apple sorbet taken by my girlfriend was the kind of taste you can find only in a Michelin Star Restaurant.Compared with Locanda Locatelli and Trishna (both One Star Michelin LondonI found a little bit more expensive and they dont accept American Express which is a pity.

Absolutely divine dinner! The service from Mario was top notch. The wine outstanding. Each bite delectable. We shared two 3 course meals and loved all of it. Tasting menu of course so not huge portions. Two premium cocktails. Dinner and wine. An amazing view. Here’s eye candy!

Incredible service and food. You pay a premium for being in the old town, so for that it’s our second favourite restaurant.The views are great, especially if you get the earlier sitting with sunset views.We might have opted for the 5 courses over 3, as the portions aren’t huge.

Amazing restaurant in the old town of Dubrovnik with the most amazing views. The food and wine was amazing as was the service. Our waiter was attentive, enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable about the wines we chose. We will definitely go back on our next visit!

We sat for the later second service of the evening and we all felt very rushed by the server as they sat us later than scheduled. The meal started with a seaweed cup crisp bite which seemed a little lazy and underwhelming. For the life of me I can’t remember the appetizer which can’t be a good sign. The mushroom ravioli was by far the best dish but the meal was ended similar to the way it started underwhelming for a Michelin guide restaurant.

We came for my husbands birthday, he was blown away by the venue, cuisine and experience.The amazing rooftop view and private feel of the restaurant makes it so special.The front of the house was so welcoming and lovely. She expected us from our booking and greeted us by our first names as we walked in. Its always the little attentions that make a difference.The food was just amazing, each meal was a discovery of flavours, even the amuse-bouches were creatives. This restaurant is Michelin listed but instead, it should have an actual Michelin star.The selection of Crotian wines was fabulous, we tried a limited edition white wine that amazed us, so smooth and fresh, we hadnt tasted anything like it before.This restaurant is really a hidden gem in the heart of Dubrovniks old town.

Delicious, great service, unique, nice view…. Worth going, the hotel looks very nice. No elevator, so you have to go up 5 floors.

We stumbled upon this place completely by accident, and we’re so grateful! This restaurant has hands-down the best view of the old town (it looks to be the only non-private rooftop terrace). Our waiter was very charming, and the food was outstanding. The tuna and beef tartare were exceptional, and the signature dish – the lobster with handmade pasta – blew us away. Definitely worth the price.

Its not bad, but price/quality ratio is way off. The prices are very high, some of the plates were good, others mediocre.The view is good, but nothing you havent seen from the wall already.You can choose between either a 3 or a 5 course meal. Dont take the 5, its too much.

Lovely evening starters and dessert were delightful as were the canapés. My sons lamb for main course was very much enjoyed. The 4 people who had the steak all said although it was cooked perfectly it was missing a strong flavour a jus or sauce, especially as this dish comes with a supplement. Service was great and the setting is idyllic

Go there for the view and atmosphere. The service was good as well. Unfortunately the food was mediocre and overpriced. Bland tuna tartare and overcooked fish entree.

What an experience! Ive been to some amazing restaurants around the world, but the service, location and staff put this restaurant on the top of my list!Maro was absolutely fantastic, his recommendations were top notch! Such a lovely human! We will definitely be back. :)

Food was outstandingly good and the perfect quantity. In particular the pigeon, mushroom ravioli, basil/apple sorbet, and mango panna cotta were incredible. Prices are on the expensive side, but you really do get what you pay for.

Food was incredible, our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable about the food, also kind enough to take a really nice photo of me and my bf. Definitely recommend if you’re coming to Dubrovnik and want to enjoy some fine dining

Our group of 4 had a wonderful dining experience—great French Martinis, beautiful entrees., the best gluten free bread our GF girls have ever had. Service was attentive and professional and the rooftop setting was glorious. Thank you Above 5!

This is one of if not the best restaurant in Dubrovnik. The rooftop setting cant be beat, and the food and service were outstanding. Just make sure you are in shape enough to climb the 5 flights of stairs! Its worth it.

Intimate dining experience with great food, friendly staff and stunning views of the Old Town.We went for an early dinner to watch the sunset and had a fantastic evening. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the staff were so friendly and helpful, passionate about the food and Dubrovnik. Would highly recommend.

The most amazing meal of our lives. Would eat here 100x over. The servers were amazing, and Mark even gave us recommendations while we are in town (including phone numbers). If you have the chance to eat here, you will not regret it.

The food was amazing! Well worth the price and the climb to the top for the views and the food. Every dish I was served was delicious and the waitress was kind and attentive. I went to other fancy restaurants in Dubrovnik that couldn’t compare. Hats off to the chefs!

This was a lovely gem that we stumbledUpon in old town Dubrovnik. The staff and service were immaculate. They made incredible cocktails and served them with great care. The food was delicious and very unique. Last but not least, the views of the entire old town were panoramic and amazing!!

What an amazing meal and experience.We dined with you as a group of 8 friends visiting Dubrovnik from the UK.We must have brought the weather with us as we chose the only rainy evening to eat outside on your lovely rooftop!We just had the best time though.The roof blinds were opened and protected us from the rain.Because a lot of diners had cancelled due to the weather we had almost personal service.The food and local wine was just stunning.The service and staff were attentive, not over-bearing and informative and friendly.One of our party is an ex-Michelin inspector and he rated the experience as a 1* verging on 2* Michelin rating - praise indeed.If you are in Dubrovnik, do not miss the dining experience here - absolutely first class.Thank you so much from us all.

Food, wine, service and the view were top notch. Very deserving of its Michelin star. We had the beef tartare, homemade mushroom ravioli, lamb chops, dry aged tenderloin, pavlova, and chocolate coffee dessert and everything was excellent. Our server was warm, engaging, and extremely well-versed in both the food and wine menus.

Food is perfect, service is great. Super nice view in the old town. EXCEPT the People from “London” and “Texas” sitting behind were super noisy. They were talking to each other and laughing quite loudly across two tables. It made such a nice restaurant really like a open market. Hope they will meet each other in Texas as wish.

Great service, relaxing atmosphere, 360 degrees views of old town Dubrovnik, comfortable shade and cool fans, delicious food, amazing craft Italian beer.I cannot help myself but reach for my phone and start leaving a glorious five star review of Above 5 restaurant only after tasting the starter and beer. I will properly update after the main course experience (homemade pasta with lobster and grilled seabass with vegetables).To start with, we were given a tasty thing made of some kind of very thin crust, delicious creamy mouse and a small piece of tuna. Then butter with herbs and fresh focaccia. I ordered an Italian craft beer (boutique or gourmet, feel free to call it whatever you wantcalled My Antonia Imperial Pils and oh boy, was that delicious. Fresh fruity flavour, strong alcohol contents 7.5% and lovely champaign shaped bottle. A real work of art.Starters - chilli prawns. Delicious and not too chilly at all. Lovely taste and cooked to perfection.Now on to the mains.Pasta with lobster. Delicious. Pasta was shaped like baby dwarf beans so I had to double check it was actually pasta. Sauce was awesome and lobster cooked to perfection.Seabass fillet was brilliant and tasty as well.To finish off this lovely lunch, I ordered coffee and chocolate cake with a single espresso. Hands down, this was the best espresso I’ve had in Dubrovnik so far.Before desert we were served a scoop of watermelon sorbet “to clear our palate”. What a great idea!!! Tasty and non-loading. Perfect pre-desert treatment.And the desert was probably the pearl in the crown. What a great dark chocolate and coffee cake, topped with the most delicious coffee ice-cream. Simply amazing!Would I recommend visiting Above 5 rooftop restaurant in Dubrovnik Old Town? You bet!!!! The best restaurant in Dubrovnik hands down.I am not sure what the place is like in the evenings but visiting for lunch is awesome and feels private due to less people visiting.I am not sure what my bill will be, but I couldn’t care less. The dining experience Above 5 provided cannot be easily transferred into monetary terms.Highly recommended!!!

When you are ready to have your best meal in Dubrovnik, get a reservation for this intimate restaurant. The food has a delicious elegance that one expects from a top restaurant. You will need to walk up 5 flights of stairs but for this food, service and the 360° views of the town; it is worth it. It is the perfect dinner!

Situated on a rooftop in the centre of the old town, the restaurant boasts fantastic views of the city, especially during sunset. The food was well presented and tasted amazing. The staff were also very friendly and knowledgeable regarding what they are serving you. Definitely worthwhile if going to Dubrovnik.

Only rooftop restaurant in old city Dubrovnik, and while the menu is a little pricey, it is well worth it for the exceptional service, unique and phenomenal menu, and the scenery. I will be back every time I go to Dubrovnik! This place is top notch!

The food and the view was amazing, really nice staff - had a really beautiful evening. Definetiley worth a visit when staying in Dubrovnik! But reservation is highly recommended!

This is one of places Ive been to in Dubrovnik . I got the rating from Google map and it was 100%true .Location is very close to the entrance . It is in the top floor of the building . I must say that it is 6 floors up but worth every step up to it .Place is small but the view it really nice .Had lunch twice but couldnt have dinner or attend the sunset time there .Menu is preset menu but it is just perfect .Ive tried the pigeon breast dish that was unbelievable .Two pieces of Well done pigeon breast on a circle of soya sauce and basil oil .A combination that make you hold your breath .The main dish I tried the stake and the tuna with rosemary Ash ... Both were amazing .And for the last dish I had both times the apple and basil sorbet and I must say that I miss that taste a lot .Staff : at the ground floor staff are amazing and very friendly and helpful .. all of them .. I had the chance to chat with most of them and they were. Happy in out ..Up at the roof the guy was very gentle and well educated and amazingly friendly .We had that chance to chat when the load gets low at the end of the day .. it sounds like the place goes really busy at night .You need to make a reservation for the dinner time as it is very busy .But please dont leave Dubrovnik without having at least one meal in this place .Price ? Average .. it is about 500ku per person . But you can remove any dish you dont like from the menu .. I guess they calculate the bill per dish .Finally .. say hi to the guys there if you pass by them please ..

Located on the 6th flr of Hotel Stari Grad. This venue offers stunning rooftop view. Had a breakfast there. Our family really did enjoy the view and the food. Very fresh ingredients and great service. (only downside for elders is that there is no elevator)

Lovely fine dining in the heart of Dubrovnik with one of the most amazing views. The restaurant is literally situation on the rooftop of a boutique hotel. Pricey but worth every penny for the experience.

Seating for 24 people at most. And you get to hike up to the 6th floor by the stairs because theres no elevator. The kitchen is on the 5th floor so pity your server who gets to run up and down the stairs all night! That said, its quite popular because of the view it has over old town Dubrovnik. So, dinner reservations are required and once at your table you get 2 hours until the next folks are promised your table. Its a price-fixed menu (appetizer, main course, and desert, plus beveragefor about 100 Euro a person. My appetizer and main course were very good, but the desert didnt seem to be on the same level as the others. LOTS of picture-taking by the guests present, as a sunset came on followed by an orange moon rising from behind a mountain. Plus, we had the old city in daylight followed by night. All-in-all, a good spot and worth a try. Just make sure to book your reservation in advance.

I have some mixed feelings about this place, so I’ll start with the good stuff. The seating is amongst the best in town, with great view. The food was very good, and the service very friendly. Having said that, I had a bit of an artificial feeling with the service... and the menu is really overpriced, and without any extra (eg not even a small amuse-bouche.Overall I can’t shake the feeling of being in a tourist trap where you pay more for the location than for the food/menu. For this price, there are far better culinary experiences in town.

Above 5 probably have the best situated seating within dubrovnik. Our server was great and the overall service very good. Both cocktails and food was fantastic. It comes with a steep price, but that was expected.

Amazing view and food to match!Having had a bad experience at another Michelin Guide Restaurant in Croatia, we were about to worry that the whole Michelin thing was just not for us - thankfully, this restaurant proved us wrong and then some!The only rooftop restaurant in the city, the views are fantastic - you have to walk up 5 stories to get to it (theres no elevatorand its worth every step. Theres lots of restaurants around the world that coast on their setting and serve mediocre food, but thankfully, this is far from one of them. The pan-fried chili prawns are excellent, as was the Rubia Gallega Bolognese. For desert, we had the chocolate and coffee which was wonderful. Overall, this is a very special place for a great meal in the Old Town!

One of our favorite dinners while visiting Croatia. The service was outstanding, views stunning and food off the charts good! The rooftop is small so make sure to make reservations. I planned our dinner so wed arrive a little before sunset so we could get to see the views in both light and dark. Amazing and special experience.

There are not enough good things I can say about Above5rooftop. The food was delicious, inventive and a pleasure to eat - it leaves little wonder that the restaurant can be found on the Michelin Guide. The area is elegant, cosy and with amazing views of the city. I have to say that my best review in this instance must be for the staff - they were knowledgeable about the food, courteous and hospitable and were even able to recommend wine that fit perfectly to our taste and with the food. Above all, we had a bit of drama in the form of a raging storm about halfway through our meal; the staff handled it in stride, looked after each of us in such a way that changed what could have been an event that ruined the meal to one that actually made it more special and very fun. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in Dubrovnik!

I really liked the restaurant in general, the location, the view, but why not 5 stars? There are little things that matter when you are in a place which charges way above avarage and your expectations are high: small details like having to ask for bread and olive oil after the first starter... and a few other little things, the waiter did its best but it was not perfect and they seemed stressed with everyone arriving at the same time. Food was excellent, especially starters and the mains, the dessert was ok. All in all the restaurant is recommendable.

This was by far one of our most memorable and delicious meals. And it wasn’t just because of the food. When you first get there, you have to climb 5 flights of stairs but every step is worth what you are in for. The waiters are so kind, attentive and genuine. The food was beyond superb. Every bite was savored. The wine was perfectly paired and the views were incredible. I will say this is a bit pricey. But it was worth every kuna!

It was the greatest experience we had till now at a restaurant. The view is fabulous, the food exciting and the personnel very interesting and professional. The whole experience was great and we really recommend it if you afford it.PS It was expensive for us but we have no regrets. It was memorable.

Our meal at Above 5 was one of the best tasting and quality meals weve had in Europe! I had the Fillet and my wife had the Sea Bass, both were excellent! We shared the hot chili prawns which were both great tasting and had no head or shell! They have the best view for dinner in all of the old city of Dubrovnik. Our photos speak for themselves. The service is excellent too! This is a must go to dinner experience.
