Abedare National Park is a wide range you cant fully explore. Beautiful landscapes, sightful waterfalls and wildlife
MoreVery cold and very green plenty of fooder for cows but roads terrible quite good experience enjoyed the whole trip.
MoreGreat. The area is generally very cold. The community should be assisted with warmth generating materials
MoreThe place where the beauty of nature exist. Fresh air, low birds voices best site for animals views. Beautiful water falls and beautiful visitors restaurant and lodge inside the aberdare ranges.
MoreAberdare park was amazing. It is green and has many different animals you can see. In addition there are some (veryshort hikes you can do to see different interest points. It is big enough and not too crowded. We had an amazing time.
MoreThis place is a good one to view Gods nature. 1st time hikers this a difficult one but achievable, the theme never give up is well applied here. It has 4 peaks and your energy and strength will end before you reach the 1st peak, it seems the toughest.Hiking gears are so essential here moreso the hiking boots /gum boots will work so well for you. Eat well and carry more energy drinks and snacks, dress well its so chilly up there. The earlier you start the hiking the better since you will get enough time to rest at each peak.
MoreThe hike was really amazing...A good place for team building
Aberdare national park is a nature master stroke. Beautiful and very lovely indigenous forest. A major water tower for kenyan rivers.
MoreIts a wonderful place full of all kind of wild animals, its a place to be m. I would like to come back another time
MoreAlthough abadare is a deep forested eco-system you may not be able to identify mammals directly. It gives a person a beautiful experience of an polluted air and scenic features such as water falls beautiful ranges indegenous plant species such as Olea African and many. In conclusion abadare is the best place to visit to do birdwatching and plant identification.
MoreGreat place to chill.

MoreAmazing sceneries and you get the opportunity to see the big 5
epic scenery, fantastic place for picnics and team building. There are no shiops one should carry parked lunch. The road is terrible from ndunyu njeru to the parks perimeter fence.
MoreVery beautiful and natural environment tranquility 🥰🥰😍
Great outdoor destination for outdoor junkies and daring hikers. You need to keep warm as temperatures can drop anytime.
MoreWe aimed to reach the summit but the weather did not permit us to.we had a very good tour guide who took us up the summit. The weather was very extreme.Always before summit carry a raincoat incase the weather changes drastically. The eight and a half kilometers walk to the summit was not easy as predicted.if u plan to summit hv shoes which are light and waterproof coz some summit paths are water logged and soggy
MoreI had the best experience hiking Aberdare, its 8.5km walk to the peak. The tour guide was so friendly. It has a very beautiful scenery.if youre interested to go hiking there make sure you have a rain coat, gloves(its so cold at the topand boots
MoreWent to and reached the 7-ponds in the Aberdares, 3rd climb this year with Ambassadors Football, trying to raise funds to train coaches who will be mentors and father figures to boys and girls in slums. The climb was as tough as it was epic. Altitude almost got to me at 3600m ASL but I made it to the top (3810m ASL). My word, the Views!!! Kenya is beautyful.
MoreBeautiful place ....good road network
The place is awesome to say but the least. For nature lovers and hike enthusiasts its the ideal place. Id recommend anyone who loves the nature, hiking and high octane body exercises to visit this place. To me, it was closer to paradise. 💝💝
MoreAberdares National Park is home to the best hiking trails in Kenya. Aberdare trails are good preparation hikes, particularly if one plans to climb Mount Kenya, Mount Kilimanjaro, or Ruwenzori peaks. High altitude adds them to the list of the most challenging trails in Kenya. However, natural beauty and the splendor of distinct vegetations, indigenous trees, forest covers, Waterfalls, and rocks formation make Aberdare one of Kenyas most beautiful places.Waterfalls are all over the Aberdares and its ranges. As they roar with might, thrashing over the rocks. You will end up be-waterfalling-in-love with the scenery. The Moorland and the alpine form a great source of major rivers that flow from Aberdares. Athi and Tana rivers drain into the Indian Ocean, Ewaso Nyiro flexes to the Lorian Swamp, and River Malewa flows into Lake Naivasha. The famed Dragons teeth is an excellent spot for Rock climbers and magical views for films.
MoreGreat hiking experience. The scenery was very beautiful
Okay the road there is quite muddy and rough but its still passable. The hiking itself is not for the faint of heart. So now the good stuff. The view are amazing far beyond what I had expected and the air only gets fresher and crispier as you go higher. So if your not too big on hiking and just want to get some exercise in I would not recommend this. If your a hiker of photographer or some form of energetic thrill seeker this is gonna hit all the right spots for you. Trust me the feeling is surreal when you reach the top. Plus its good training is you plan to hike a bigger mountain like Mt Kenya or Mt Kilimanjaro
MoreOn this day, I visited the ever gorgeous Ol Donyo Le Satima, the third highest mountain in Kenya sitting at 4001m asl. Such breathtaking views! I always wanted to go there and was very pleased to have experienced high altitude training, hailstorms and trekking through bog. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in preparation for the big ones! Mt. Kili, I’m ready for you.
MoreA magnificent experience.... Elephants and cape Buffaloes roaming freely.... Leopards presence well represented as its fur can be seen on trees....great rivers .natural canopy and indigenous trees.
MoreWonderful Experience. Spent Christmas holidays here in the Aberdare National Park, and we also spent a night at THE ARK. One of the good Short Holiday destinations in Kenya and its about 4-5 hour road drive from Nairobi Central. I suggest to buy both Aberdare National Park and The Ark as one package. Definitely one of the good options for a long weekend stay. Lush green surroundings, Long walks, and Good food.
MoreAbaedares National Park is great for a hike and visiting Water Falls. I wouldnt recommend for just a game drive, as you go thur the mountains on a narrow road with one side maybe like a cliff and not really flat land just to see the animals in the open lile many other parks and other side is highly wooded with lots of trees. The waterfalls are amazing and a great workout.
MoreThere is something that makes me feel whole when Im outdoors. Awesome views, the Cape Buffaloes also summit!
MoreSuch an amazing place with beautiful forest and bamboo thickets, and even breathtaking views. Super ideal for hiking and even camping especially during this dry season. Ascending up the hill is challenging but such a thrilling experience.
MoreIts beautiful, serene and the best place for a hike. Amazing rangers to walk with you I the park to ensure your security.
MoreA beautiful unspoiled park. Ideal for camping, hiking and wildlife encounter. We were lucky enough to see the rare black serval and 2 leopards walking by the side of the forest
MoreI Loved the park! You get a chance to see the Big 5 animals. Its a good game drive. Kindly do it when we not experiencing rains because its quity messy when it rains there. The state of roads around the park is not so convenient! At view point you get to see Mt. Kenya and the Ranges.
MoreIts really a nice place for a hike, camping, vacations. Encouraging our mother nature. And ecotourism. At aberdare national park. Wanjohi ward at Karina Village. All are welcome.
MoreThe national Park contains all types of animals, Beautiful scenery,, such as waterfall. Enough game quards,,, best place to be
MoreFor wildlife it doesn’t have a lot to offer though the landscape and scenery jus breathe taking..animals you can find which are different from other parks is giant forest hog, bushbuck, melanistic leopard and black serval cat,Columbus monkeys..and so many Sunbird’s. They have elephants and lots of buffaloes with amazing green backgrounds. Waterfalls here they are jus long to take your breath a way especially during blue sky..rainbow is seen. Dress warm if you are planning to do hikes from up you can easily see mt.kenya
MoreRugged but surprisingly forgiving landscapes. Altitude without the attitude. Just beautiful in every direction. Excellent guides who are both professional and fun. Whether youre doing a day hike to Dragons Teeth or Table Mountain, or traversing from one to the other and down the other side over 3 days, its an out-there experience thats a bit more off the beaten track than most.Just... Bring gloves. Its cold.
MoreA very lovely ❤️♥️❣️💓💓❤️💕❤️ and thick forest, wild animals can even be seen while still outside such as buffalo, Impala, gazelle, wathog. The park is well protected hence no need to worry 😁, the locals are very friendly and willing to guide.
MoreGreat 30 km hike! It is also possible to do a 12 km round trip to see the Karuru Waterfalls.
MoreAmazing Jungle with all the Mod Cons you can expect but with plenty of wild life roaming around freely.Impeccable service and very courteous Staff including Mr Richard the General Manager who surprised us with a bottle of Wine and a cake for our Wedding Anniversary. The Chef Mr Anju made the most delicious cuisine.Their Sister Hotel The Ark is a must visit unique shaped Hotel with viewing windows to enjoy all the wildlife coming to the watering Hole during the night. Our overall experience was just beautiful with the settings and huge Grounds to enjoy with Nature Walks done by Donald , Horse riding to Game drives which James took us on. He knows where to find the wild life. Thanks to the whole Aberdare Country Club team for a most memorable time during our visit in May 2019.
MoreOne of the best places Ive been to I must say... such serenity
The hike up Elephant Hill is my favourite. You get to experience changing forest and fauna - dense woods, bamboo forests, moorland, rocks.
MoreExcellent hiking experience especially in the sunny months. The vegetation cover mixed with cool breeze makes it quite comfortable as you burn uphill. With good pacing you should be able to acclamatize quite comfortably.Elephant hill summit is very cold and rains most of the days. Ensure you are warm enough if expecting to summit. The ascent from foot of despair all the way to the summit requires a good grip on the rocky terrain, hiking boots strongly recommended.Lastly, carry enough water, at least 3 litres in smaller containers to help distribute and reduce the weight comfortably. In summary, one of the best hiking destinations.
MoreMy favorites park for a weekend stay. Lovely camping options. Alot of game at the forest around treetops. We even saw a leopard. And not forgetting the beautiful waterfalls on the moorlands
MoreThis place was awesome, the hiking especially ✅
Mother nature on her best, serious hikers only, the best place for a camp and hike.....make sure if you aint camping get there early
MoreThe hike at elephant hill is quite challenging. You have to dress for winter, and the altitude at the peak, 3680m above sea level poses a different challenge.
MoreGreat scenery. Awesome nature trails for hiking. Excellent location for outdoor photography. A few kilometers away from Nyeri town.
MoreExiting park with lovely animals and vegetation. Had fun looking for some elusive game like the leopard and elephants. Be sure to get information on where to pay the entrance fees for some of the parks entrance gates (Im not sure if all gatesdo not pay points and you may be forced to turn back. Carry warm clothing if you intend to sleep within the park.
