Abadía Hotel Granada Centro in Granada
Description
This is a modest but lovely hotel situated on a quiet street, beautiful courtyard, the rooms are clean and have everything you need except for a mini fridge. Location is great, walking distance (10 minutesto Cathedral de Granada, although in my opinion Basilica de San Juan de Dios is more beautiful inside and it is only a 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Staff very nice and helpful, parking available at 300 meters from the hotel.
MoreFantastic place : clean, beautiful building, easy check in and out, perfect locationAbsolutely recommended!
MoreThe hotel is arranged around a lovely, renovated backyard. Rooms are basic, but clean and in good shape. We arranged a late-night arrival beforehand, which was handled friendly and smoothly (using a key safe). The only peeve I have is a slight stale smell when entering the room. Rooms also tend to get warm without AC. It is fine with the AC on, but that is a bit loud for sleeping.
MoreThe location and the staff was perfect in the room I had some small things that didnt bother me accept that there is no refrigerator in the room and it was very hard in this high temperature..but in the end its highly recommended
MoreVery good.I wont come back here evere again.
The patio was very dirty, leaves where scattered everywhere including table and chairs, the plants seemed dead in a way and a horrible sulfuric smell kept coming from behind them. The rooms weren’t great either but I won’t get into that.Other than that the lady on the reception was very lovely, I sure do hope they improve.
MoreGreat rustic accommodation and friendly helpful staff
Super friendly staff. We even got upgraded to a whole flat with no extra fee. Fantastic experience, will return without hesitation.
MoreLovely staff, central location and clean/cosy room. Great price/quality ratio
Good budget hotel but not sound 🔊 proof
Lovely hotel. Beautiful courtyard and very comfy rooms.
Delightful hotel with a lovely courtyard filled with plants, a verandah adjoining many of the rooms with comfortable seating. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very clean and well serviced. Great location close to city centre and all the popular tourist destinations. Plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Secure parking. Staff very friendly and helpful with lots of advice about places to go and see. Rates are very reasonable.
MoreI heard that this place has a terrible management. Very unfriendly owner, that shuts off people in an aggressive way. You might wanna stay there but dont you ever consider working there.
More❗️❗️ NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE ❗️❗️Abadía hotel Granada - Jose Antonio SanchezPlease don’t go ever in Abadía hotel Granada, I am still shocked!I applied for internship there few days ago and they sent me acceptance confirmation. Everything was normal, untill I sent an e-mail with a few questions: is it paid, is there a kitchen and can I see the pictures of accomodation (because it’s included and I guess it’s normal to know where will I live next few months). After not answering on e-mail, I decided to send a message to Jose on whatsapp (in confirmation letter he put his numberbecause I needed to book a flight as sooner as possible. I was polite in the message and he answered that I am so impatient and rude and suddenly decided to cancel the contract between us. And that’s not all! After 15 seconds he BLOCKED ME on whatsapp.Thank God I didn’t go there... so unpolite and crazy. Only psychopaths behave like this!!!!!!Anyway, last year I spent in Granada 5 wonderful months during my erasmus study stay and I know people there are really kind and friendly. I love Spain so much, that’s why I wanted to come back again. I hope that I saved someone from this psychopath!
MoreThe service is very efficientThe crew is extremely niceThe room was very spacious and costThere is a beautiful sunny patioVery cleanClose to everywhere in GranadaI enjoyed my time here
MoreLocation: Right at the edge of the old town and within walking distance of everything. The place: The hotel is clean and charming, but dont expect a 5-star location. I booked my room online so when I checked in, there were no hassles - they just made me sign my bill and that was that. My room was in the main level and right in front of a lovely courtyard. That was a real treat given the warm weather! The room has enough room for two twin beds and some storage, and the bathroom was pretty spacious for a hotel. Note that if you are two people in the room, you might find it to be a tight fit.Service: Great! The two ladies who were here when I checked in were super friendly and have me tips and suggestions. Very nice folks.Price point: when all was said and down, I paid about $160 CDN for two nights. Its a bit expensive but you cant beat the location.
MoreGood position near old town. No in room fridge etc.Secure parking and friendly service
MoreHad a two night stay here and the staff very friendly. Parking available at €14.00 a night. Kettle provided but no tea/coffe so you have to purchase it or take your own. A good central location with Alhambra only about 20 minutes away. Taxis also found to be reasonable.
MoreWanted to book a room and as normal wanted to check out the place before but the girl at the check in said the company police says it is not allowed before payment and was rolling eyes. Absolutely unwelcome attitude and of course did not want to stay there.
MorePrefect in every respect. Beautiful and clean accommodations, friendly and helpful staff, incredible value.
MoreIf you like to sleep in a warm room, youll like this hotel. The AC worked for a few minutes then just the fan .It was 26C in our room. There was no fridge. Otherwise, good location, nice room . Romantic garden in the hotel court
MoreExcellent small hotel in an excellent location with easy safe parking. Not 4* but ideal for a short break in Granada with excellent friendly staff who all have a good level of English .
MoreDecent size rooms, cosy and comfortable. Friendly staff. Traditional looks with Central courtyard. Rooms are made up every day. Central location, 15 minutes to the centre, 25 -30 to Alhambra. Close to Granadas Moorish Albaicin quarter! The hotel can help with arranging parking.
MoreThis hostal is very quirky. The staff are very helpful. We would love to come back to the abadia again. It is pretty central. Loved it.
MoreIncredible hotel in the centre of Granada. Close to the cathedral and tapas area. With amaizing people and super cheap price. FANTASTIC!
MoreClean and comfortable rooms. Very good location (albeit a bit noisy)
Beautiful hotel at a reasonable price and a fantastic location. Staff were very friendly and were quick to offer any kind of help. I highly recommend staying here
MoreSuperb hotel !! Spent five nights there last week. Very clean comfortable bed. Large bathroom and TV ! Air conditioning ! Could not ask for more !! Kettle ,mugs and glasses in room. Available at reception a 2 euros breakfast pack , tea coffee sugar milk. Fantastic backers close by. A beautiful Andalusian patio to sit and enjoy your breakfast !! Staff fantastic ! Booked a Flamenco show that I will never forget ! Also bkd our tickets to AlHamAlh. Wonderful !!
MoreBad experience. Kind staff, but building is so poorly constructed that all the noise from adjacent rooms carry.
MoreAvoid it at all costs. Though the staff is friendly the building is so poorly constructed that you can hear a whisper from next door and all the bathroom noises. You put your rest at risk.
MoreExcellent hotel. Rooms are clean and have solid air-conditioning. Hostess is extremely nice. Located a short walk (5-10 minutesfrom the Granada Tapas street and multiple (touristbus stops. Would definitely stay here again!
MoreReally cool place, a hidden jewel of Granada city center. The patio at the ground floor offers a place to relax any time of the day and night. The room is quiet, you cant hear noise from outside the hotel, but we heard some rough guests slamming their room doors quite early in the morning and late at night. The bed is not so wide and the mattress a bit soft for my back, but I think its more of a personal taste. The members of staff are friendly and offered us suggestions for the activities and lunch / dinner recommendations. Prices are a bit lower than the average.
MoreCosy rooms, friendly receptionist, not so great WiFi, close to city centre but not the greatest street to live.
MoreA great place to sleep in Granada, the rooms are quite big and very cosy. The staffs professional and keeps a good contact with the guests.
MoreHorrible place. Very bad mannered man at reception. Rude and not helpful. It ruined our stay in Granada.
MoreAVOID THIS HOTEL!I went to book a room in this hotel because it had good ratings. There were 2 girls in reception that couldnt speak Spanish and their English wasnt too good either. But they were sweet so no problem at all. Then a guy came to reception , about 50 years old . Maybe the owner? I asked kindly if I could see a room. He said no in a very agresive way. I asked him why he answered in this tone of voice and he got more angry. We left to him swearing at me to get out. The girls seemed to be in shock. If you read other reviews from this hotel you will see if the girls were on the front desk then all is good. But if its him many more people are disappointed. If this is his hotel then he really needs to learn how to treat people before people hand over their hard earned money.
MoreThe hotel is clean and comfortable and has a parking garage opposite the hotel. The street the hotel is located in, is a side street with little endearing features. There is not breakfast or bar but very helpful staff.
MoreA charming, warm, well maintained nook on the inside, so dont be alarmed by the street view. Cold AC, everything is clean, nice court yard to hang in with 9€ bottles of wine at the front desk. Very good for the price!
MoreVery adorable hotel. Located within long walking distance of most sights except the Alhambra. Air conditioner actually cools the room. Beds are acceptable. Lots of closet space and room in the room itself.
MoreLittle hotel but with a lot of charm, the rooms are not very big, but enough to stay a couple of days, also the classic look fits very well with the city. It has parking (At extra costif you are in need to leave a car.
MoreLovely, serene hotel, near the centre of Granada, but far enough from the bustle of the town to be able to relax. There is a quiet courtyard and terraces to relax in. If you can book it, take the room on the top floor, with a private balcony. Not a picturesque view, but a relaxing space and view of the sun going down over the rooftops in the town.
MoreIts a beautiful, charming hotel with very friendly staff that speak several languages. I love the beautiful patio where you can sit and have a drink/read a book. Its very close to the city centre and to the taxi stop, yet the street of the hotel is very quiet so you can have a good nights rest. The rooms are beautiful, cool and clean. Great hotel for a great price. I will definitely come again.
MoreThe hotel is small and charming. staff is very helpful and nice and they go extra miles to help you. Rooms are big and clean and have a small fridge and a kettle wich a re very useful. The location is perfect as well. it takes only 2 minutes to get to the city centre and it also has a bus stop just round the corner. The hotel provides free wifi in the entire building.and the price is more than affordable.
MoreIt is a wonderful hotel located in the heart of the town with a marvellous courtyard. The rooms a big and clean and nicely decorated. free wifi, fridge and kettle in the room.parking just behind it.Staff is really nice and thay all speak English perfectly. They welcome you with their best smile and give you useful information about the city, what to see, where to go etc.Simply perfect.
MoreRealy nice hotel! I loved the countyard, this hotel is such a nice place to visit Granada. Its close from the center but in a very quiet area and the staff is always smiling and helpful.
MoreLove the decor. Comfortable and a very cozy and warm atmosphere greeted by friendly staff.
MoreMy wife and I have stayed at the Abadia Hotel twice and both times we have been very happy with the rooms and the the service from the very friendly staff. The rooms are simply furnished, clean and have air conditioning. The hotel does not provide any breakfast facilities, but there are a number of places just around the corner where you can get a good breakfast for around 3 euros. If you are looking for a convenient base from which to explore Granada, the Hotel Abadia is ideal and is very reasonably priced. We will definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it.
MoreThis was such a gem of a find, having trawled the internet I came across this hotel. The surroundings appear daunting, but it is a very safe environment. The staff cannot be praised enough and certainly went the extra mile to make us welcome. Nothing, and I mean nothing was too much trouble. We had clean rooms every day and included clean bedlinen I was surprised how close we where to Plaza Nuevo, just a short walk which we did in about 10 minutes. The added advantage was the Car Parking, which is at a premium in this area.I would highly recommend without reservation.
MoreVery comfortable, clean, small hotel with very efficient and helpful staff who spoke various languages including excellent English. The room was a good size with a full size bath, small fridge and kettle.Although the street was a little unprepossessing, it was actually safe and very handy for all the local attractions and within walking distance to buses and restaurants.I highly recommend this gem of a hotel and will hopefully be able to return to it again myself.
MoreWhat a nice hotel, hidden on a quiet street, yet, still in the centre…As we stepped in, we felt very safe and the hotel itself is very, very welcoming. As soon as you step in, a very small but beautiful hotel opens up. The Andalusian courtyard is a perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing…Staff was very friendly and very helpful in giving directions, bus routes to the best parts of the city, what to visit, where to eat. And they spoke perfect English. The private parking is in an underground locked car park opposite the hotel, and we had it included in the price. It is such a relief to lock your car away and roam through Granada without caring if it is a one way street or not :)During our 2 weeks trip to Spain, we stayed in 5 hotels, and, in our personal top, Abadia was the best out of all 5. Without being a highly rated or modern hotel, Abadia impressed us with the warmth and attention to details.
