Coffee and books!? This place was right up my alley. We ordered bombóns (espresso and sweetened condensed milk). Very yummy. We ended up ordering a second round. I also bought a book recommended to me by one of the employees. He was very helpful - asked what type of book I was looking for (I gave very vague parametersand he suggested 3 options that all seemed great and I ended up buying one. My book was $39m pesos or about $8USD. Our bombóns were $7500 pesos or like $1.60 USD. Would recommend and would return!

Its an amazing place, small but very cozy. Coffees are great, and prices are good given the location.Plus the books there are others souvenirs such as post cards for very reasonable prices.

Great little spot for flavorful coffee. We had frappé (ask for added milk, the texture is so smooth…and cold flat white, and we can only recommend as a rest from the heat and agitation outside.

Beautiful place for going to read or buy books. Good tea and good coffee. They do not have wifi so you cant do remote working from here. Also the staff usually talk out loud so you cant concentrate very well if u need to be quiet environment.

Cute library/coffee shop. Stop by for a refreshing respite from the heat and bustle of Cartagena. The majority of the books are in Spanish. They also serve beer and small pastries and plantain chips.

Lovely and quiet spot for an afternoon coffee, cocktail, or juice. The bookstore is seemingly frequented by older locals looking to escape the tourist hysteria. This spot also has beautiful framed pictures for sale.

A true gem of the city. The store, snacks, and service are all absolutely delightful. I bought some wonderful colonial architecture photography books and was also recommended some amazing prints and other books by their friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Attractive portico that moved me to peek into the place, and I found a wonderful bookstore with great coffee. None of those cutesy bookstore/cafes that are famous on Insta which have lost its original purpose, this is still a work-a-day bookstores, it seems, given how many people i see browsing the books, and also a great cafe where young students talked amid the books and typing away on their laptops.

Attentive service and a very chill vibe makes this place a perfect spot for some delicious coffee... We loved our bombons :))

I would return. We had a quick café at the bar. They had really good carrot bread to accompany the espresso, cortado and iced latte we ordered. No wifi when i was there. Great espresso. Small space. Clean bathroom. Small covered patio in front with a few tables complemented the small space inside. Air conditioning was welcomed.

Stopped by because this is one of two places in the walled city that sold postcards (and had the better photo quality). Good drinks, ambiance and clean bathroom. Wish they had more Cartagena childrens books in English or general history books of the Coast in English. Odd thing noticed in all bookstores in Colombia are books being shrink wrapped. Wanted to see some of the books before buying - specially the photography books of Colombia.

This is a very nice bookstore with decent coffee. However, I initially found it on a list of good cafes to work in, and this is definitely not the case. There are a few tables, no wifi, and no power. Go here for conversation, not with a laptop.

Whenever Im in Cartagena (which over the past few years has been relatively oftenI always make time to stop here for a cold brew. Such a nice environment. I wish there were more places like this.

Abaco Café is a great place to have a coffee and chill after lunch. Its cozy, the staff is friendly and they have limited options for you to order. I had a cold Brew and it was okay, but worth for the experience. Its usually playing some jazz on the background and its refreshingly cold when you enter. Go for it!

This place is beautiful.If you enjoy reading, this is the place to visit.They have a large variety of books both in English & Spanish.The service was amazing.We got the lemonada cerezada & a slice of banana bread.The lemonada was made from freshly squeezed lemons.Overall great experience.

Small space with a few tables placed closely together but youre surrounded by books and good coffee. The employees are helpful and kind. Small English books selection, pricing typical to US book prices. A/C. Clean restroom. No one specific, placed in different locations, posted high on the wall and at entrance, no pricing listed. Two espresso coffees were ~14 I think. During June 2021 visit, can stay as long as you want, masks on when not drinking.

Refreshing to be in a cool bookstore in the midst of the hoards of tourists and vendors in Cartagena. Love the smell of a nice book shop serving coffee. Quaint, cozy and serves cocktails as well. We accidentally stayed after closing and they were so helpful and kind. Poured us daiquiris to go. Definitely recommend! Step outside the door for a super instagrammable shot of the cathedral in the background.

As a bookshop it is nice, with good selection of Colombian and international titles. As a coffee shop... staff is cold and disinterested, coffee is mediocre at best.

Solid wifi, excellent coffee and a great place to sit down and write postcards back home. The English book selection in minimum but youre in Colombia so duh.

Looking for a cozy place to hangout and have some awesome coffee? Put this on your list to visit in old town Cartagena. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Very intimate inside with lots of books. Quiet place to do some work. Our Americano and cold brew were an afternoon delight!
