Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines are all served in this bright and colourful dining room.
Am a Hotelier ? I been years since I ve started eating kichadi, I order kichadi in zomato. Zomato is going worse in Kerala now than swiggy, zomato is now a problem for everyone in Kochi and kerala. Anyway, lets get to the matter, Anyway this is the first time I have ordered and eaten at this Angan Restaurant, Anyway, Dal Kichadi was shocked and scared, What I have to say is that those who give good should say good. It should always be said badly until good food is given, അമ്പോ തോൽപിച്ചു കളഞ്ഞു... നിർത്തിക്കോ ഇ മാതിരി പറ്റിക്കൽ...
Aangan midnight foodcourt which is been situated at palarivattom, ernakulam, kerala. Which is a multi cuisine restaurant. I recall of a dine with my friend in this hotel. The experience was astonishing and we had a lot of shots of pictures of the retro articles there. It was a wonderful experience and will go often there for sure.
A cosy restaurant with an expansive menu and a wonderful ambience with soft music and good hospitality. The food was tasty and reasonable pricing... Had the evergreen Kerala parata and meat combo, my fave.
Good ambience, nice and pleasant staff. Good food
Good food.. aangan special chicken biryani is yummy.. 😋
It has good service. Ample parking space. Good staff. Great food.
Hotel is near to Palarivattam junction. They have good parking space too. They had good food beforehand But seems the quality of food deteriorating. They used to have good muttom items but unfortunately they didnt had anything today. Also the food what we bought too was not great. Now they have varieties of Kizhi Biriyani but that too not up to the expectationThey do have a party space in the upstairs where small programs can be conducted..
The restaurant is at an ideal location with lot of parking space. Even though its a bit inside from the main road its still easy to notice because of the big board placed. The restaurant is fully air conditioned and the staffs are also nice. there is usually a bit delay for the food to be served the quality of food is really nice. I would suggest to visit ifthar just 100 meters apart if you are in a hurry
Its good atmosphere silent restaurant food taste ok ,but preparing too late
One of the worst experience in Kochi.Food quality - below average. First we ordered chicken spring roll and it took 40 minutes to serve.Biriyani was just ok for me but my wife totally rejected it.Fresh lime was horrible.Ambience - There only a very narrow path to reach hotel. There is an underground parking facility.Poor quality a/c . We sweated like anything in that so called a/c restaurant. When we asked they replied that it is the heat from tandoor over.Service - Worst service ever seen. Some local guys with dirty casual dressing are roaming around the tables and taking orders. They have included GST in addition to the amount shown in the menu. Gst bill is also attached.Over priced. - Poor quality fresh lime costs 40Over all rating is 2/10Never recommended
Good food. Nice ambience. But expensive
A place has great food and ambience. While it is not on the cheaper side. It is still affordable. And the quantity of food given is at times enough for two. In that sense, it is worth your money.Going by a lot of rave reviews here, I decided to give this place a try. I went there for lunch yesterday and had Kizhi Beef Biriyani, the newest addition to their menu. The food served was really sumptuous and pocket friendly. The ambiance is excellent. The service levels are a notch above any other restaurants which Ive been to lately.
The biriyani here is very good, especially the kizhi biriyani. Their chicken nuggets too are very tasty. The cleanliness though is a concern, the table sheets and never clean and the wash area smells, the service is prompt but not class defining. Parking space is available
Went there couple of times.Quality + Class + Ambience + taste = Aangan Downtown.Very Satisfied. Family Friendly 👍
Me and my friends had KIZHI BIRIYANI from here as a part of birthday treat. It was OK OK type but little bit spicy. Very interesting thing is that we got salad with biriyani were curd was 5% and water was 95% (visit there on a summer to get exact salad). Service was Average . It can be Improved. Ambiance was quite good. But there were No motivating factors to force us to revisit the hotel again...May thats there major drawback..
Good Non-vegetarian restaurant. Prices on a bit higher side. Varieties of meat and fish dishes. Can also try different biriyanies.
The food quality was good. And the hotel ambience was also good. The staff were trained properly and we didnt have to wait to long before we were served. Overall had a good very good experience and I would definitely recommend that you can try them with your family
Yesterday i ordered 5 chicken biriyani through Ubereats. they given chicken curry piece with some egg mixed normal rice. one of the worst biriyani ever i had..
Food is average, service is below average as this place is short staffed. The staff need to be given proper training, only then the service and etiquette will improve. Most of the time, there is one or two items missing from what we had ordered. Theres room for improvement.
Words cant be describe. The service was super good, staff there are friendly and always there when needed water. They also gave a chocolate mouse to celebrate our anniversary which I really liked it! Thank you so much Aangan!
One of the finest restaurants i have visited in kochi. The food quality is good. Delicious meal and tasty biriyanis are available here. The price range is average. The only thing I found as a negative point here is there waiters attitude. Some of them are nice. But there are one or two who have a very rude behavior.Thank you for the wonderful biriyani we had their.
The quality and taste of the foods served there were the WORST I have experienced in my entire life. We were prebooked one day before ; still there was delay in serving the food. We had to spend more than 3 hours for completing the lunch mostly for waiting. Food served were neither hit nor fresh.
Ive always believed in the old adage which says food tastes best when its made and served with love and this restaurant does exactly that.Going by a lot of rave reviews here, I decided to give this place a try. I went there for lunch yesterday and had Kizhi Beef Biriyani, the newest addition to their menu. The food served was really sumptuous and pocket friendly. The ambiance is excellent. The service levels are a notch above any other restaurants which Ive been to lately. With such panache while dealing with clients coupled with sublime cooking, this restaurant is set to scale greater heights in future!A must visit for all connoisseurs of food! :-)
Went in here for take away. The staff who attended us was very friendly and courteous and knew his stuff. Was polite enough to give all the requested details too, also gave suggestions from his end. The food was packed neatly meeting good hygiene standards. Now coming to the food I must say that all the food we ordered met our expectations. Achari machchi Tikka requires a special mention here. The flavor was just right and perfect. One thing I would like to mention is that the curries were a bit too rich for my taste. Fried rice was a bit oily too. A request will need to be done if u want your food less rich/oily. The portions were good enough and the whole food was VFM. In a Nutshell the visit turned out worthwhile and the restaurant definitely is recommendable.
This was my first experience of this dining concept, and by far, it exceeded my expectations. Around the table you enjoy the company from all walks of life, and all parts of the world. We dined with a couple from California, a mother and son from Seattle and 2 lovely girls from Copenhagen. Although we met as strangers, we left as new friends. Not only do you enjoy a four course dinner prepared by Aangan and his sous chef binu, but you share in the knowledge about the combination of flavours and textures of this North / South fusion inspired menu. This is not a chef that requires or is in the search for any star rating, but one that wants to share his knowledge and passion with those who dine at his table.
Never order from this place, safe to ignore and better for you to run away from this place. I felt cheated after getting my take away delivered to my home late almost an hour than promised. Adding to my great disappointment none of my orders looked like whats shown in the menu picture. Portions were too small and looked clunky and terrible. Got burnt chicken 65 with too much chilli flavor and hard to swallow. Batter fried prawns portion I got was sticking together as a mess, very oily, old taste and with less than 10 tiny pieces charged at Rs. 300.
Average food, the kizhi biriyani, their signature dish didnt turn out to be good.. All others were just average.
Loved it.. Wide varieties of food...
Aangan is one of the best Fine Dining restaurant in palarivattom area now. Ambience is really good. Perfect place to hangout with family, friends or colleagues. Great hospitality and customer service by Ajay and team. This is really a great spot with good food, good service and a wonderful atmosphere. You will definitely enjoy having a fine dining experience. They have a separate hall for arranging birthday parties and small meetings upto 80 pax. Highly recommended to friends and family!
We went there as a group and tried various items including special kizhi biriyani. Just loved the taste mostly, except the veg gravy. Their starters are tasty and different. Kizhi biriyani was really nice, with no oily effect. Nan and paratha items was soft and tasty. Tried different falooda and they were heavy and delicious.Special thanks to the manager who is ready to attend customers and explain the dishes as per needs.
Service is good. Their speciality ‘Kizhi Biriyani’ is overrated. First of all it’s made in Basmati rice and not the authentic Kerala style with Kaima rice. You won’t feel like eating Biriyani ..it’s more like Chicken rice!
Yummy food with service of excellent always there in front of you with a quick service and foods is awesome
The place is famous for its “Kizhi Biryani” and mutton dishes... good location, decent ambience and friendly staff.. the service is quick and prompt.. has ample parking too (underground parking).. make sure you go before 2 PM in the afternoon if you want to have the meals or biryani as the the place almost always runs on 90% + occupancy..
Key Highlights:-• Though its located on congested interior lane, but parking is available in basement.• For groups/Team, they do have dedicated table/space. Will easily occupy 10-12 members.• Service oriented place as the person who catered our orders been very peculiar about our interests and feedbacks.• We did tried their special for the day: Kizzhi biriyani apart from al carte.• Overall taste was apt,Though felt wow factor was missing. Now this is purely personal!!• In terms of cost,it justifies the effort and menu. INR 300-400/ Pax for full fledge meal.
They have some verity good food
I had difficulty finding this place for the first time. Its located right next to K.R.Whats special about aangan is that Im very pleased with their service, a very dedicated team they have. Not every restaurant here greets you with a welcome drink. Their aangan special chicken biriyani is a must have , though its priced at the higher end. Every ingredient seems to be in the right amount.
Excellent food and ambience. One of the finest places in Palarivattom to dine
Very tasty food and very good service
New place that Ive noticed recently. Really good food and service. Also theres parking for cars which is very convenient. Ordered paneer dishes which was really good.
A cozy place for good North Indian food, and not very expensive either. The portions are sizeable, and I loved the aloo paratha here.
If some asks me where can I find a restaurant with delicious food and best service I would definitely suggest aangan. Just love the way the host serves you. He treats his customers like Kings. All their cuisines are equally delicious. My personal favorite is this aangan spl chicken fry.
Great menu... loved it...beef, chicken & seafoods...
Neat interiors and comfortable seating, this restaurant is a mashup of cuisines, too much of variety. The "kizhi chicken biriyani" is one of my favorites.its a special biriyani wrapped in banana leaf, the mutton dishes also was wowsome.
Excellent choice for food lovers!I would recommend Aangan for both foodies and for the ones who would like to enjoy food with family. A calm place with great ambience though in the midle of town. I had a memorable dinner with my friends with a lot of dining varieties. Papaya juice is being served as complimentory starter.
Poor food Quality. Especially in non-veg, they used very old meats. Please believe it..In Detail: In Aangan, They provide good ambiance and all(Welcome drink). But the meat used in all non-veg stuff are too old but gravy is fresh. We are the victims very often
The food & service is amazing at Aangan Downtown Restaurant!Ive eaten here more than 5 times now and each time Im delighted by how tasty the food is! For the western customer it has a great selection of dishes that will suit a fussy traveller that doesnt want spicy & still huge selection of traditional South Indian food. The service here is really friendly. Everyone is lovely. You will be looked after but not interrupted every few minutes.I feel like this restaurant is Cochins best kept secret! Im so glad I found it. :)
Last week I had visited this restaurant and ate Biriyani, Ghee Rice & Beef among which Beef wasnt of my flavor. The ambience is clean and good, but visibility is poor. They have an ambient -1 parking. They also run one of the good Malayali restaurants in Qatar where we had one if our small event.
Great new place for foodies who love North Indian cuisine and tandoori items.Their naans, tandooris and tikkas are simply superb.Good ambience with a decent amount of seating space. The staff are courteous and friendly. Definitely worth a look at.Keep up the good work, team Aangan!
Interior and decor: When you go inside the restaurant, I was really impressed by the decor and interior design. I may have biases, but I think the restaurant makes me want to stay longer.Customer service: friendly, professional, and outstanding service. I felt bad for taking pictures here (like I am a common girl 🙆🏼but the staffs were very friendly and suggested me to take more pictures. 👏🏻👏🏻Food: I am picky of everything, but the food is really great. We ordered Aangan special Fish platter as starter and then the main course. The food was really nice and the amount of fish was perfect for us. 👍🏻👍🏻In general, I love this restaurant and will be a frequent visitor. I highly recommend people to come here for authentic sea food.
# Fantastic Ambience# Super friendly staff# Very tasty and healthy food (no additives)I talked to the director, a young and down to earth person who explained to me the pain they take to gather each raw material from their own farmland (including spices, coconut, oil, chilly etc.and how much they value the quality of food. The ethos behind their business is really good. You may find it to be a bit expensive, but rest assured that you get the value for your money. Very honest and friendly staff. I usually do not write many reviews, but I could not prevent myself from showing my support towards such a genuine business.
