The Aagrah Building, Mid Point, Bradford BD3 7AY, Bradford
Contemporary chain restaurant serving traditional regional dishes from India and Pakistan.
Stayed at the travel lodge 3 mins walk away, and not much else around, apart from KFC, McDonalds. Very busy venue, lots going on partys etc. Food not bad,Ive had better, but far too loud music. Absolutely ridiculous hence the stars. Staff pleasant and attentive enough.
One of the worst buffet experiences, I have ever had. Most of the items were not available and they refused to top up their food trays, even when I requested. Also, they had very limited items.
Me and my friend visited your restaurant today and we loved everything about it from the second we stepped through the door. The service we received was impeccable and the food was delicious
Excellent, this is the best Indian restaurant experience Ive had to date. Staff were amazing and gorgeous! Food was delicious
Beautiful restaurant, good food, helpful staff and top service. We made booking in 30 min before we arrived at the restaurant group of 40 people from London with very tight schedule, these guys arranged everything in 5 min without any compromise with food quality or the service.
We love the food at the Aagrah and tonight opted for delivery rather than eat at the restaurant. Ordering online was simplicity itself and the order was delivered exactly on time. Delivery orders include the supplementary items such as salad, raita, etc you would receive in the restaurant. Very impressive and very delicious. Thank you to all involved: chefs, waiting staff, delivery agents. 🙏
No regards for hygiene at all. Many of the plates and cutlery were dirty. Witnessed one of the chefs throwing naans on to the buffet with his bare hands and then touching the walls and area around him. Extremely off putting. Buffet selection is limited and small.
A wonderful place to dine with plenty of dishes on the buffet, sadly we booked during the day and this was not explained and we had limited dishes, overall it was a good experience.
This was an interesting experience.Unfortunately professionalism is often confused with aloofness and being rude. The chap at the front door is incredibly rude and miserable. The chefs and servers at the buffet look burnout, unhappy and miserable. The plates and cutlery and very dated and broken. The tables are unstable and are wonky. There is no air con so you sweat away on to the buffet. Its has gone very downhill sadly. The rear of the younget waiters are very polite and helpful
Many years since our previous visit, staff were very accommodating and friendly. They dealt with matters professionally and could not be more helpful. The buffet food from starters to main had a wide selection and had lots of flavour, my only regret is my small appetite and that I couldn’t indulge in more! The family were very pleased with their selections and enjoyed their meal. Staff were consistent in clearing used/ finished plates between courses, which was very helpful when you’re having a buffet. We’ll be back soon!
Food was nice and there was a good range for the buffet. My only slight issue was that I cut open a bit if chicken tikka and it looked quite pink which worried me a little bit.
We went for about 8;30pm, the chai was already running out 😭. It is superb tea but only thimbleful cups. The starters were all excellent, the lamp chops although very juicy, but over spicy. The dish to avoid is the noodles and the associated Chinese whatever it is. They need to rethink what they offering with that. Service from the kitchen people was excellent because they were pleasant and receptive but the waiters were bit disappointing because we asked for jugs of water multiple times but never got, this happened multiple times too. Overall was good, could be better, maybe because it was end of night during week but still. I know they can do better.
Went for the buffet. For of us. What a disappointment. Fish was not cooked. In itself not a major problem as these things happen, although You don’t expect to be eating raw fish especially when you pay a decent amount for your food. Spoke to waiter and manager. Both were clueless. The manager needs lessons on how to deal with customer service. Was promised a phone call back. Obviously that won’t happen. I can only say negative things about my experience of aagrah and have turned down 4 other invites to go back and have managed to convince the parties to go elsewhere also. I will continue to do this due to my experiences with the food and the useless staff. If you think the food is decent and you want to go then that’s fine but their are other decent curry houses and the service at aagrah is rubbish. Avoid avoid avoid
Food quality very poor - i mean super low quality meat.Fairly limited choices for starter and mains.Found a long, thick black hair in the Makhani. Will not return!
This place used to be the best. Now the buffet selection, portion sizes, lack of dessert selection. Is just not acceptable at all. Really disappointed. The food taste is bland. No authentication between dishes.
I was really upset with my experience at Aagrah. I still to this day cannot believe the lack of compassion a person can have.We booked this place for my sisters 50th and my father who is 84 was feeling unwell on the drive over from Manchester. He said he would be fine and not to fuss but when we arrived we almost had to carry him in. We were in the doorway and I asked the man who was front of house for a chair and he said they had no chairs. I couldn’t believe it. It must have 200 chairs in the place. How you can deny an old man something as simple as a seat is completely beyond me.My nephew and I carried my dad into the seating area and sat him down. Again he didn’t want us to make a fuss and kept saying he would be Ok. He ate very little and the food isn’t that great. It suffers from that buffet place issue where everything tastes the same.We left early and I took my dad to A&E and he is now better. Thanks to the hen party that gave us a lot of space when we were coming in and to the very gracious family who let us use their grandmas wheelchair to get my dad back to the car. There is kindness around that restores your faith in humanity. All I can say to anyone contemplating Aagrah is make sure you stay fit and healthy because they won’t help you if you feel unwell.
We went as a family and decided buffet was the best option so everyone can have what they want, for the extortionate price they charge, the food mediocre, the lamb chops and ribs were undercooked and chewy, the haleem was flavourless. 3 stars as the manchurain and biryani was still OK and the staff were very attentive and cleared any used plates immediately. Food lets them down but the attitude of the staff is amazing.
e have been going to Aagrah for years but have never been so disappointed. The menu or cook must have changed recently. Food was overly spicy. There were no soup bowls. There were poppadom sauces but no poppadoms. To make things worse, the fish was raw! This put us off our food. When we spoke to Manager, he went away saying " bear with me" and never returned. The waiter came back saying they wouldnt charge us for 1 out of 4 people. When I mentioned it to the person at the tills, he shrugged it off saying these things happen. We ended up going to a takeaway to get some food after leaving the place. Our anniversary meal was obviously ruined...
The place has gone considerably down hill over the years. Needs a deep clean throughout the restaurant. The buffet was not what it used to be, no popperdoms, limited dishes, no plain dishes for kids, staff dont smile much. The decor is now dusty and needs updating, toilet stank bad, things worn away need replacing, tiles doors dirty, corner of flooring with dirt. Very disappointed, not sure we shall return. The dining tables seems to be squeezed together alot. You got alot of improvements to make.
Tonights takeaway was exceptional - everything was cooked perfectly (shami kebabs, chicken liver tikka, shah jahan, chicken tikka masala & the most perfect naans), piping hot and thoroughly enjoyed - thank you
Excellent only problem hard not to over indulge on the buffet choice available. Sometimes you maybe waiting at busy times. But definitely worth it
Went during the 45% off deal. There’s a number of problems with this place.1 - Food - Quality is really poor, the options for food are quite limited and the desserts are even worse. Small cups of cheap cake that tastes like plastic along with jelly and other cheap offerings. They have a station to watch the food being made. The man serving it on this date was very unpleasant and rude to speak to, when he bothered to say any words.2 - Service / Staff - The service was unbelievably poor. We asked for a bottle of coke and they decided to bring it before waiting 10 minute to bother with any glasses despite us asking multiple times. The staff seem to congregate in the middle of the floor, near the buffet entrance, blocking most people trying to pass with food without a single apology or smile. I think they’re all in serious need of some customer service training.3 - Price - Due to the anniversary, it was 45% off. The food still wasn’t worth it post discount but the staff had decided to not bother adding the discount to our bill. When we spoke about this, the men behind the bar were incredibly rude and patronising. We had to find the manager who was also no help before refusing to pay before they bothered to even charge the correct amount. It’s a shame really as when I’ve visited this location around 10 years ago, the food was incredible so it’s sad to see it slowly decline over time into the diabolical place it is now.Unless you want cheap food, poor service and staff who try to rip you off, I’d recommend avoiding this place.
We had a great night out. We had the buffet and the selection and quality of the food was excellent. Great service and we would happily return.
Absolutely awful food. Chicken was swimming in oil. Naan bread was dry and chewy. Very disappointed. Won’t be eating there again.Food isn’t worthy of even one star but can’t leave no stars!
Absolute dissapointment, prices have gone up by 30 percent to about 20 pound which is understandable due to the rising cost of living but the lack of quality in the food doesnt justify this increase unfortunately. The salads and selection of sauces are still very nice but the lamb chops were very hard, the deserts are not very nice and not much variety, the menu is becoming sub standard and there is no inovation and change to this, so customers who have been coming regular may find it the same old. The final price was incorrect to what the waiter had told me, a difference of a few pounds however I feel this discredited company as it questioned their professionalism. Comparatively to other places I wouldnt be coming here again in a hurry, impartial advise would be to deffinately attend the resteraunt called Lanikas ( Halifax at roughly 16 pound a head the food is much much better. The atmosphere was still decent and the waiters are very hard working howewever their urgency can sometimes be dettering, especially when eating..
Well came here after walking out of another restaurant and they really made up for the bad experience and service we just had! Food was lovely and our waiter Hamid wiped the floor with the other service or no service shall i say that we had just recieved. Highly recommended and will definitely return 👍 xx
One of my favourite places to dine. Food was delicious, plenty of variety for starters mains and puddings. Staff were courteous.
Food is horrendously disgusting.went last week as we liked the food first time we went few months ago there. But this time food was something else.Coudnt even break the lamb chop forget chewing it .its absolutly bitter that makes whole throat and toungue bitter.biriyani was rock as hard and burnt.Pakora somusa all the other curry nothing wad nice.Only things that was nice was cucumber and Water what they dont deserve any credit for.only desert i liked was kheer .but other desert should b ok for for desert lovers even though not many good options. Its absoulutly not worthy of going there specially for a price of £19 each and kid£12.deserve 0 star not even one star.spoilt my special day. Will never go there again to waste £50 for 3 person.people--- just dont go there !!.just order a take out from any curry house and save some money and save your tounge and throat.
First time wasnt too bad. But the second time we went the food was well below the standard! Nothing tasted anywhere near nice burnt bitter and just awful. The water was the only thing that tasted nice! Really disappointed and wont be going there again.
Never been before, and enjoyed the experience. We had a buffet style menu and had some really great food in good surroundings.
Great Buffet selection. Lamb ribs are the best I have tried anywhere and there was a fantastic selection of many other dishes of all different types of cuisines. Highly recommended.
Really not impressed …. First time here , booked ahead and arrived with myself and 2 teenagers . We all love Indian food and try almost anything. When we were seated I asked how it all worked and waiter told us to help ourselves to buffet and took drinks orders……. It was clear from 2nd lot of plates (that were still full after trying different foodsthat the food was too spicy for us all so I asked the waiter if there was a milder option. He said that we could of ordered off the normal menu !! We didn’t know this …… as far as we were concerned it was all buffet as we weren’t advised differently on arrival. Soooooo I paid £63.50 for 3 of us to eat desserts ……. And have a J20 each !!! Would normally complain to be honest but the teenagers were mortified and embarrassed when I suggested it so I didn’t and paid up but I’m feeling very silly to of done this today !! Sooooo won’t be returning as clearly it’s a way the restaurant get maximum income out of you - by not telling you that you can order off a normal menu ! Shame on you Aagrah
I have come here for years but was very disappointed after visiting on 3/5/22. 20:00 hours - Day after eid.Pros :Restaurant was packed but seated fairly quickly.Con:No salads left what so ever !Plenty starters but clearly rushed in preparation.Limited main dishes and sides .Hardly any desserts left .£75 for 4 person including two children. Now this is the interesting part ! The day after ! The whole lot of us got severe cramps and loose motions ! Very disappointed how the restaurant is being run and clearly they won’t prepared for amount of diners ! Baffling for such a large restaurant not coping with the numbers that attended.Sadly won’t be going there no more .I have given it two stars due to the ambiance or it would have been one star for quality of food .
Loved the food, you could tell food was made fresh. Spices are on point too. So are the prices her head. Has a welcoming atmosphere, staff are also friendly. The only shameful thing is not about the restaurant but the customers inside. Understandably you go out and have a laugh and chill with friends and family. But when theyre sat right next to you screaming and laughing to a point you cant hear yourself. I guess thats what Bradfords about. Apart from the customers, the restaurant is good and I will be coming back soon. Would ideally like to sit away from people or have some sort of more space.
I was passing by & 6 off us went in to open our fast.We also had 2 children with us.1. Dont be fooled by the pictures the food are very limited.2. My kids were not spicy eaters everything is spicy from start to finish including starters even the Wings, its not a little bit spicy its very spicy.3. We were cramped into a table of 4 with two chairs at the end to make it six but once we got our plates they were nowhere to put them. Even though we booked it 4 days in advance knowing we will be passing there.4. Starter plates hard hair on them.5. Glass is were not washed properly had stains on them, see picture plus these were the absolute cheapest glass possible.6. The the water bottle which with top water in was brought from IKEA with no lid.7. The glasses were so filthy had to ask for straws just to drink the water. Will never be going there again for £19 per head I suggest you go somewhere else like BBQD Oldham. Its not a buffet but a family-owned steakhouse.
Disappointed as the food and service used to be a lot better. We went for the buffet and the quality if the food wasnt great. Out table of 10 was set up with 2 round tables at each end with a rectangular table in the middle which made the seating awkward. The mocktails just tasted of cordial, starters were loaded with extra marination that wasnt necessary, desserts were very dry and the jam roly polly pudding was missing the jam. Staff all looked miserable and the tea was finished and taken off by 9:30pm. A member of our group asked if there would be more and was just blanked.
Came for a family birthday meal. Was packed, bustling. We ordered mixed grill starters and lots of different meat and veg curries to try a range of dishes. lots of choice . Overall the dishes were delicious , particularly liked the fish curry we tried. Staff were very accommodating, good service, and helped with cake surprise.
Visited on a Sunday for the lunchtime buffet and what a disappointment it was! I didnt realise it would be a limited selection (visited after a few years due to covid etc).Salad was just medium sized bowls of lettuce, red onions, cherry tomatoes that had seen better days and cucumber. A few selection of sauces chilli, mint mango, raita and mint onions.Starters were not all fresh i.e. chips and pakoras and again a small selection. Chicken tikka and lamb chops were freshMains 1 chicken curry, no lamb and all the rest were veg, I tried them all they were just okay nothing stood out.Desserts gajerela, halva, ice cream, kheer and jam roly poly with custard. These were okay tooWaiters - were moody and not welcoming, they are in the wrong profession if they cant even speak to customers! It cost 12.95 per adult Ive paid a few quid more and had much better buffets with better quality of food and a bigger selection. The table we were seated at also wasnt great I could smell the toilets that were not even that close but the strong smell of pee that I could smell walking past the toilets could also be smelt at our table!Would I recommend the lunchtime buffet - noWould I visit again - probably notTips for improvement - fix toilet problem..Employ better staff as staff is what makes a place and even if the food isnt great staff can make a huge difference to the whole experience
Not been here in 8 years, my oh my the food has changed BIG time.Last time we was here, it was all about the bells and whistles, and the food was awful. This time round food was lovely, although the noodles, lasagne and biriyani wasnt up to scratch the rest was excellent. You always get a couple items in a buffet that arent great, so wasnt an issue.Plenty to choose from and ample desserts aswel. We all had a grand time here...
Starter was good, main dishes and curry’s are just ok
Came here for a relatives wedding. Restaurant is located down stairs and wedding hall section upstairs.Restaurant got nice modern decor. Had a good atmosphere there. Wedding hall area nice and big. Food was really good too.Need to come back again just to sample the restaurant.
Loved the food .the quality is awesome.no one is there to judge how much you are eating like they do in royal nawaab Manchester
Had a very underwhelming experience. Poor management. Food was labeled as buffet but was served on the table. Under cooked meat and chicken and cold food was served. Had to face embarrassment in front of the guests.
As a venue this is quite a nice place. However sadly the food and service were not good at all.We regularly visit curry houses and were highly disappointed with the quality of the food.Firstly, our waiter came to serve us over the edge of the glass barrier at the side of us which was a rather strange thing to do.. he then insulted my mother (potentially unknowinglyby saying she was a strong women (insinuating largeand looked too old to be our sister. I do believe he meant no harm, but this is wildly inappropriate. The starters were ok, not the best I’ve had by far, but edible for sure. For main my sister ordered the paneer bhuna, this arrived and was a bowl of curried peas with some paneer in, it smelt dreadful and just tasted of perfume.I ordered the chicken tikka balti which again tasted overwhelmingly of perfume. And my mother ordered chicken saag which was also inedible. The rice also just tasted of perfume. I have never known anything like it.The waiter returned and we had clearly not eaten any of our mains yet he did not question if we had a problem with the food. He simply brought the bill and we were charged full price for very poor quality food. All in all it was an expensive visit and we left with empty stomachs.Sadly this does not entice me to revisit or recommend this place.I would personally suggest Akbar’s or the 3 Singhs if looking for a good curry in Bradford.
Really busy place with good atmosphere and really good value for money good service nice selection of food to management if you have any managerial or supervisor role ive got one person in mind MIRZA IRFAN amazing service really attentive to every detail fantastic customer service will be visiting soon with more people keep up the good work guys full support from halifax town
Fabulous experience out with the family. Wide range of choices for the buffet and a variety of desserts. By far the best buffet service I’ve ever experienced.
Went to the evening buffet for the first timeIt was the best food ever i got chicken wings, lamb chops and seekh kebabs and they were amazing and the Korma was so yummy! The desert was amazing loved the profitreoles and chocolate cakeStaff were very friendly fantastic first impression will definitely be returning
A delightful, atmospheric environment, with vibrant staff and a good choice of oriental beers. The owner is on hand to personally greet diners, with a welcoming smile. As a family we enjoyed the variety of the evening buffet, as there was a conspicuous amount of eatery. We cannot emphasise how good the Pudsey Aagrah is, well done, and well deserved.
Its a brilliant restaurant the buffet is amazing all the food is very tastey the staff are very helpful and polite. I would highly recommend this place you wont be disappointed.
Excellent Asian buffet offering delicious cuisine that was only let down by the limited selection of main courses, although it was Sunday lunch and the restaurant was very busy. The place is very stylish without being a distraction and the staff were very smart, polite and helpful. All in all a very classy establishment that is worth a visit.
