AZALAÏ HOTEL ABIDJAN in Abidjan

The worst welcoming I have ever experienced in my travel life and generally in Abidjan. I waited 30 minutes for a transfer. Then I arrive 3:38PM way past the check in time of 3PM by 5:30 PM I was not allocated any room, and none of the staff was bothered about this. No care in the world about customer service nor delivery.

Very good, room is clean and the restaurant has a variety of food for all tastes. Workers are friendly and attentive to clients. Security is not an issue.

Not a bad hotel the location is good right across from the mall which has everything you need. Service is okay for the most part even tho there is a slight language barrier.

Have a prepaid hotel booking for 5 nights with this hotel. Flight got cancelled so moved to the next day, the hotel would not let me shift/amend the dates to accommodate the flight cancellation. I didnt ask for money back I just wanted it to be adjusted since I obviously couldnt fly in on that day as initially hoped.What type of hotel will punish a soon to be customer for actions that are not within my control? What type of customer service experience message are you sending?Needless to say if I had read a review like this describing how inflexible you are I wouldnt have booked your hotel.You all have been warned.

Nice experience out there

For a very expensive hotel it is rubbish, Check in takes forever, booked room for my wife and myself, only one towel in the room, when asked for another towel I was told you only booked for one person so have to pay 10,000 cfa for another towel. The shower was broken and no mount for the shower head, Never have I seen a hotel that is so tight they request you to pay 20 plus usd for another towel, I would never recommend someone to stay here.

I actually was here for a dinner meeting. The service was good. The food was both continental and local. The location was very good. Just that i had to wade through the traffic of Abidjan fo so long for a very short trip.I finally got to spend some weeks at the Azalai. The experience was nice.. The room are very comfortable with a touch of class. The staff are very helpful and nice as well.

On of best and beautiful hotels around. waiters are kind and always smiling. You eat many type of good food ... enjoying the best view of Abidjan. I recommended it to all of my followers.

The hotel is great and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are big and comfortable. The service could be better and the location is not so quite due to a new construction next to the hotel.

The rooms are quite nice decorated as well as spacious enough.I visited this hotel several times and have the impression that the service, except the room service getting worse every time. Especially the front desk and the porter. It seems that these ladies and Gentlemen forgot that they are working in a service position and getting paid for it.

Nice clean rooms of good size, but very dimly lit. I dont know why each tiny light has to be turned on individually - it takes a while to find all the switches to turn them off at night! One of the lifts wouldnt go to my level so had to keep sending it away so another could come. This was still not fixed after 9 days stay. Bar area had friendly polite staff and good food, although expensive and very noisy.

The client service during the reservation process and during the stay was the worst I ever experience around the world. They do not answer or confirm emails, they did not wait for me at the airport, being booked. Cancel my booking and make another one to avoid paying a fee to the reservation agency.They charge for every request, slippers, bath robe (15,000), 2 hours late checkout (from 12:00 to 14:0030,000 XOF.We were 15 companies in the hotel, 1 week, having conferences, lunch, etc. and no single client service possitive attitude. I requested several times to speak with the Reservation Manager, but it is the same old trick: please come back later and he never appeared. They are so greedy and have a miserable attitud towards the client.We will never more be in this hotel.ANSWER.The typical answer text very fast just for marketing issues and try to wash your face. Why not did the same during TWO days that I requested during my stay??

Its a lovely hotel in the heart of the city. Its pretty close to the hotel - about 20 minutes away. Has a gorgeous pool which unfortunately was closed at the time I was there due to construction next door.

Very Nice and cosy rooms. Beautiful view of Abidjan. Excellent staff and speak English and guide in selection of foods, however Very Very limited/No options for vegetarians in the menu at all. As I was discussing with one of staff about frequent clients. More than 30 to 40 % is Indian clients.During my stay also I have noticed special vegetarian facing problems for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.I hope there will be actions on it and have vegetarian Indian cook.

Enjoyed the services. Their breakfast was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I will recommend it for any person visiting Abidjan.

Presidential style hotel with a great buffet for breakfast and a Chef that will customise your omelette .fresh fruit and fruit juices as well as a variety of coffee that will kick start your day

Very nice hotel. Comfortable beds, great breakfast with huge variety. There are several drawbacks currently and coming in the future. First the pool in their photos is closed due to construction next to the hotel. Two larger buildings are going up on the east side of the hotel which eliminate the view of the sunrise. During this stay there was a conference going on and the WiFi service at the hotel is not sufficient for the amount of guests currently in the building. I stayed here a month ago and the WiFi was perfect. I do like their staff and the hotel bar prices are reasonable and they have a good selection of items. My next trip to Abidjan I will stay in this hotel.

My stay was nice and enjoyable. Any issues I had was takin care of quickly so the customer service is great! Thanks to the managment and staff for that.Parfait- receptionist was kind and helpful, Malick with customer relations was very helpful with places to go and transportation. Ignace and rosine the bartinders make good drinks.

The 5 nights at Azalai hotel was amazing. From the receptionist called Perfect and her warm welcome to the servicing of some chilled mango juice.I had the privilege to taste their food and oh my oh my, the chicken was well done and the spices were on point. Their kitchen was well kept and they ensure that you wear your face mask whenever you have to go for food.The room set up, the bathroom all looked amazing.If you ever find yourself in Abidjan, just spent a night at Azalai hotel and will never regret it. Azalai hotel is just an amazing hotel

I prefer not to share what I saw. It wasn’t a great experience (unfortunately). Nice place, but need to improve on few details shared with the team.

Very disappointed with the hotel during this last elections weeked. I made a reservation of and executive room and they gave me a junior, no people at the swimming pool to help you out, no service room full menu, no dinner menu, short breakfast charged at full rate....and even worst, they made a reservation in my credit card and I just realized they have charged me both, the reservation plus the final invoice.Sorry to say but no good service at all for the high rates they charge. I would not recomend this hotel to any of my colleagues in CDI.

Beautiful and well furnished hotel. Very polite, friendly and bilingual staff at the reception. Currently constructing a new wing. Good restaurant, swimming, gym, beautician facilities and located within Abidjans commercial centre. Pleasant and secure environment.

This is a very good hotel in the city of Abidjan. It is well secured. It has good customer service. Nice swimming pool. Good gym. Delicious local and intercontinental dishes. The rooms are clean and spacious.

The hotel is clean and new, everything works well. Its well stituated opposite Cap Sud mall. Food is well prepared and delicious. This is a good business hotel but lacks the personality and position of a holiday hotel. If you are in Abidjan for business, I think this is a great option.

The best 4 starts hotel in Abidjan, modern stylish and comfortable rooms, but highly overpriced. They also need to work more on the customer service and satisfaction. I have stayed there many times, everytime I book for shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, it never happened that I found the shuttle bus waiting at the airport. For me, I know my way in Abidjan and Africa, but what about first time tourists?!!

Got my credit card details stolen there. Make sure they dont keep the CC ticket where your whole CC number is written, they tend on pushing you to accept it, this is completely illegal. The hotel is fine otherwise.

The hotel is one of the best, which can be found in Abidjan, and is located within the city. So all important places in the city center are easy accessible.The rooms we were given were in a modern style a very clean also offering a nice view on the city. The staff was always helpful and friendly.

Overpriced, considering that breakfast is not complimentary and you have to leave a deposit (not clearly informed of when checking inotherwise all amenities e.g. room service need to be paid for by cash. Breakfast buffet costs 14000 CFA (approx 25 dollars!And hardly a royal spread. The lunch buffet costs about 30USD and also not worth it. Staff otherwise very helpful and pleasant.

Very clean.. Very efficient.. Perfect business hotel.. Just anticipate an additional 15 minutes for Lifts / Elevators everytime you want to go up to / down from your room as the traffic is super heavy!

just a horrible place. Had been there with a friend. Was told only 1 bottle of water that too 500 ml only is provided each day. That is so cheap of a hotel of repute. Moreover, Gym is pathetically small. Moreover, the staff at reception is so poor in etiquettes.

Downgrading my rating from 2 stars to 1 star, after staying at the hotel for 3 weeks. Service is horrible and Staff is not friendly and rooms arent great when compared the the price they charge. Worst part is that they offer only a small bottle of water 500 ml , each day which is insufficient. On pointing out to the management, they dropped an apology letter that too to a different guest. Could not even identify which room to provide an apology letter correctly. Later the general manager sent over a bigger bottle , only to be told today that it is one time only. Ludicrous it was as all across Europe and Africa I have always experienced that atleast 2 litres of water is supplied each day.More over, the room service is horrible as even after asking 6 times that water be provided, they did not. I will be highlighting the same to my organisation immediately so that our next meet is not in such a hotel but at Ibis.much better I hear about them.

Hm, again that French attitude came through and sometimes with a vengeance. Rooms only allowed 1 bottle 50cc water per day. Room service food was toxic, especially avoid the burgers and salads. Missing toilet paper in bathrooms. Soaps and gells missing, Laundry vvv expensive even for the next day service. Same day service costs 50% more. I didnt feel that I lived in a 4 star establishment.

Poor experience, not recommended and not coming back:1. Nobody answered at the only phone available. ( i wanted to organize pickup)2. In the airport nobody was at the booth and nobody answered the listed phone numbers ( I had to take an ordinary taxi)3. I arrived at 1 PM and guess what, they asked for a surcharge because the check in is at 3 PM.Tourist trap. Stay away!

Wonderful stay. Staff was professional and could not have been more pleasant. I am giving four stars because the food could have been a little better considering the cost and how delicious nearby (within walking distancerestaurant food is.

Fair. Too expensive for the quality of services provided but then again, this may be a general country problem. The conference rooms do not have power plugs distributed around so bringing devices is a waste of time. Food is fair and needs to be fresh.

That was a perfect stay, nice staff, nice food, nice location, helpfull people, opposite to a good mall, deserve 5 stars instead of four. Definitely my next Abidjan trip address will be there. The prices in the country in general very high, hotels. Malls, restaurants, seeing all this the quality to price is very good. The Internet was very fast, the breakfast was more than enough.

Nice hotel, rooms are spacious, bathroom is clean and user friendly. The menu is manageable even if you arent a local. The hotel stuff are friendly and helpful but do well to learn some basic French before heading to Ivory Coast in general. LoL

Total confusion amongst staff and poor customer service at front desk in addition to a broken shower (faucet and drain).After using the fitness center my card stopped working and the staff refused to activate it and tried to check me out. It made no sense, here I am in the lobby, sweating in gym gear and them trying to check me out, even though I have late check out. I had to demand my room key back.Cleaning staff took my souvenir glass while cleaning, honest mistake Im sure but just added to my irritation.Otherwise the hotel is very nice and the other service areas are pretty good. Front desk is complicating my stay though.Better communication amongst front desk staff and honoring what they said will make this place much better.
