We were served by Katie and despite it being a busy bank holiday Sunday we were very impressed by how lovely and helpful she was. Our food was delicious and came in a timely manner and Katie was wonderful throughout the whole dining experience. Overall a great first time at the restaurant and we will definitately be coming back :)

The Liverpool Ask restaurant is a fine place to eat and drink. I recommend the butterfly king prawns starter and sea bass al forno main course with a side of zucchini fritti. The food is very good, the service is excellent and the restaurant is clean and tidy. Recommended. Dont forget to use your tastecard 2 for 1 offer (if you have onefor even greater value for money.

Had a great pre-theatre meal here last week. Restaurant was really busy and staff were working as hard as they could to meet the demand. We were really well looked after and impressed with the service even when the restaurant was as busy as it was.

My 1st visit here and the food and service was exceptional. My meal was delicious and portions was big. I asked if I could take my uneaten garlic bread and meal home, and it was neatly placed in a cardboard container for me The staff here are so friendly and helpful

No groups of 10 walking in at 4.50pm when the place is empty, dont want groups of 10, anyone in a wheelchair or black kids. Said they are short but I could have ordered on line. Big mistake

Food seemed to be microwaved.Very poor quality of food.Missing items.Some food cold on the inside.When we contact the restaurant we were told it’s got to be dealt with by Deliveroo.No apologies or corrections.I would avoid at all costs 👎

Lovely meal before theatre. Enquired about tote bag but all gone. Gave us free coffees to make up for it. Very unexpected.

Today was one of the best dining experiences we had as a family for a while now, we were visiting friends in Liverpool and decided to go out for early dinner which we booked online. The Spanish lady (we didnt catch her namewas with us at the door immediately, very kind and professional attitude, she made us feel comfortable and welcome. We were later served by carl the waiter, very professional and funny, also made us feel welcome and made sure were were ok throughout our stay. Definitely returning and making sure I tell all our friends about this place!

Food itself was fine but lots of the menu was unavailable and there was no fresh pasta at all. The Burrata Milanese was simply a Mozzarella ball being passed off as Burrata perhaps due to lack of supply but this wasnt mentioned either.

Lovely did and staff are wonderful! Some items unavailable but they were told to us as we arrived.Only minus is that portion sizes differed between orders as the table next to me got a much bigger dessert than me, despite being the same dish.

Had a nice lunch here at the weekend. Its pretty quiet around 2-3 on a Saturday.We shared a pizza, some burrata, calamari and zucchini fritti.The Primavera Forever pizza was really tasty, and it worked very well to dip the stonebaked crusts into the pesto dip with it. We took the leftover pizza home as it was so nice.Burrata was nice enough, but it looked a bit sad on the plate and could have been perked up with fresh basil or a crostini. The zucchini was fine for nibbles, but as a side, I would have liked to see more substantial chunks of courgette rather than small bits.Im afraid that the calamari was pretty bad. It was just tasteless and chewy to the point of being difficult to eat. There was no lemon served with with it.I had a strawberry mocktail which was very nice and not too sweet. I was also happy that they brought plenty of cold tap water to the table.Service was good and we had a friendly server.I would eat here again, I just wouldnt have the calamari! As far as chain Italians go, its pretty pricey but had some nice options. Pizza is always a safe bet.

Had a great time here and managed to miss the pouring rain!! John, our waiter, could not have worked harder for us or been more obliging. The food was excellent and the service was first class. We wanted somewhere "off the beaten track" and ASK here served us perfectly. Generous portions at sensible prices, all the choice you could wish for, a free shot of welcoming homemade lemonade and a happy atmosphere. Will deffo go back again. Considering this restaurant is part of a chain and expectation not high, the food was pretty good, the service reasonable and the drinks menu fairly priced and offering a decent selection.

Called in ASK in Liverpool today for lunch prior to going to the matinee at the Empire theatre. We ended up having a 3 course meal and each course was delicious. Service was excellent, food was perfect. Lovely restaurant. Will call again next time we are in Liverpool.

Went with my wife and two children. Food was delicious but service was slow. Felt that we were forgotten as people who were seated after us had their meals served before us. We arrived at 12.20ish and did not get our starters until after 1pm.

No photos of food I was so hungry didnt take photos ,but the food was lovely and the staff were attentive and I would go again drinks nice too no rose so had prosseco blush

Was meant to write a review about this place the other week but it slipped my mind. Hats off to the chef! We ordered vegan food and Ive got to say it was really delicious! The dough balls and cheesy garlic bread was to die for. The mains were really nice as well, but it would be good to have maybe 1 or 2 more vegan options for the mains and maybe more vegan deserts we didnt order desert because it didnt appeal to us. Dont let this put you off though, I loved the food I tried. Me and my girlfriend ordered different foods and we loved them! Definitely coming here again!!!Absolutely loved our waiter as well, I dont remember his name, but the guy with the man bun, think he had dark grey hair (maybe a dark blonde). He made 9ut night!

We were a party of 2 adults and 3 teens. Didnt book but were welcomed in regardless. Handed homemade lemonade in shot form as we were seated which was lovely and quickly given out menus and drinks order taken.We had calamari and king prawns to start which were both amazing and the pasta mains were equally as good.Unfortunately there isnt one of these restraunts near were we live other wise we would be regulars 🙂

Called in on a busy Saturday lunch time. Food was really tasty and very filling. Good choice on menu to suit everyone. Was served really quickly and waiter was friendly with everyone. Will definitely be going back

Went with a friend for lunch today and all I can say it as absolutely fantastic. Once a month we meet for lunch and have been going to another well known Italian in the City. Never again always Ask from now on. John our waiter was phenomenal, I couldnt believe just how good he was. Nothing was a trouble to him, he is an absolute asset to this restaurant and we will certainly be back.

Delicious food and very friendly staff. Not sure on the waiters name but he was on his break eating his food but he still seated us and took our order fair play to him. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would come back again! 😊

Called in pre theatre early Saturday evening. Place was busy but we were quickly seated as walk ins without reservation. Our server was very attentive, professional and friendly. Nice meal.

Always a winner! From atmosphere to food this place just hits every time! Made to feel welcome straight away by Simon and he looked after us for the remainder of our meal, excellent service.Would recommend the Nduja dough balls as a starter, enough to share for 2 as long as you can handle a slight spicy kick.I have had a few different mains but the one for me has to be the Lasagne and going "grande" is a must. If I could give this dish more than 5* I would, great value for money, cant wait to come back!

We had a great meal here last night, everything was delicious except for the bruscetta starter which was a little stale and tasteless. The service was fast and our waiter was very friendly. The only other thing I found surprising was that the two main pasta dishes were still full price (£15despite us asking for the meat to be removed from them. Id have expected them to be slightly less due to them being made vegetarian - but this is just a thought and maybe Im wrong.

I love Ask Italian but didnt feel upto the usual standard here. Seating and general decor is a bit basic compared to others in the chain. Some of the food was cold but the pizza was delicious as always.

Food was delicious but ordering on the app is not great experience signal disappearing an order going through to kitchen twice multiple times can make a very expensive evening we where lucky the waitress realised and sorted it out for us

A very nice and good place for dinner, you can feel the passion of the chef. Michael’s service is excellent. We ordered Pork belly and seabass, it’s delicious and tasty, what a good Italian restaurant. Sure I will come back again.

Lovely restaurant, we had the 3 course meal with a glass of prosecco or a beer for £24.95. Cheese fondue was lovely, quote a big starter. Salami pizzas were also very good followed by gingerbread latte cake and choc orange tart for me also very good. Highly recommend as the food was excellent for the price. Staff were also very attentive and helpful. The only thing they missed out on a star was forgetting our shot of limoncello that was also included and we didnt get.

Came in and waited by the menus, two ladies looked at us then walked in the other direction and did something else. She then came over a couple minutes after we came in and had debating leaving. Took us to the table, chucked the menus down and walked away.These oven chips were near enough £4, taste like oven chips and literally about 15 on the dish. The pizza and pasta were okay but nothing to write home about.

I enjoyed the food here, although they could have done better with flavour as it was lacking it and portion size were a bit tiny for the price. The dessert options and taste were great
