ASA Sushi Restaurant in Moncton
Description
Privilege
Great food and service! But the most delicious thing is the chicken!
What an amazing experience! The service is very good since the beginning and gave us nice suggestions. We tried the Philadelphia and OCanada Rolls and both were amazing (specially the OCanada). We also had the pork pad Thai that was really good too.All really fresh and tasty. Well definitely come again!
Moreit was SO good. the sushi pizza was literally a huge 11/10 and the sushis were incredible. the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. the lady who served us was a sweetheart! will definitely go back again!
MoreNot the worst, and not the best sushi.Goyza was deep fried for some reason.Miso soup was REALLY watered down.Everything felt like they were cheaping out a bit.Dining room was uncomfortable, and the benches very uncomfortable.Table service however was amazing. The chef, or whatever hed be called, was unfriendly and legitimately looked like he hated being there - that seemed to translate into the food.
MoreGreat selection with lots of vegetarian options. Good food, great prices and super friendly staff.
MoreService was pleasant, attentive and quick. Sushi was massive, size of big cookies and hard to manage but otherwise very tasty. The yam roll was dry, will skip next time and the shrimp tempura very doughy, but the Crazy Girl roll was a nice surprise and tasted even better as cold leftovers.
MoreThe food is mouth watering. The portions are bigger better and cheaper than what you get at the grocery stores.👍👍👍
MoreThey always have great customer service. You can tell Asa cares about thier customers. Great food, great value.
MoreLove this restaurant, the shushi is nice and its not very expensive
Absolutely amateur attempt at Japanese food.. 80% of the meal went into the garbage. The cooks/ swindlers here aught to be embarrassed charging the prices they do, when there are places in town that are genuinely amazing... Theres a 0% chance the owners eat what we ordered off their menu and it shows.0 stars, learn the ingredients you tried to use before charging an arm and a leg for them.
MoreBest sushi in town. Spicy salmon roll and crazy girl is 10 out of 10.
The sashimi and service here is my absolute favourite in Moncton!
Having visited the week that they open, this is one of my favourite spots in Moncton for sushi! Super fresh taste, and super friendly staff! Can’t go wrong with Asa!
MoreTried their newest karaage, and it did not disappoint me. The serving was big and the chicken is very crispy and tasty! The meal comes with a pop and rice which makes it even more worth the price. I will definitely order again ❤❤
MoreWe have been here several times. The sushi is very fresh and delicious. The hostess was exceptionally friendly, attentive and accommodating. There was only a couple of tables occupied, but take out was very busy. We were very satisfied and highly recommend ASA Sushi Restaurant. We will definitely be back once more.
MoreBest sushi Ive had in Moncton. Fresh seafood, lots of it, and real crab, not pollock. Just dont forget to order the wasabe, you need to order that separately.
MoreThe best sushi in town. 5 stars to the chef Sir Arnold... more power
The food and service was excellent. Quality of food is exceptional 😊 Saloni was super sweet and very helpful. Highly recommend this place
MoreToday we went to my favourite sushi restaurant for celebrating my friend’s birthday. We tried different dishes like Pork Ramen, salmon and scallop sashimi, California and Rock n Rolls, shrimp tempura. All food are delicious and fresh. The services here is excellent . I love ASA which always keep the best food quality. Will come late again soon.
MoreDont get the Sashimi. Was there on Wednesday Sept 23rd and had the small platter. Salmon, scallop and octopus tasted off. Only thing that was decent was the tuna. Miso soup is not tasty, and the rolls are OK. Overall if you are looking for cheap sushi rolls then its its the place to go but would not recommend for anything else.
MoreAsa Sushi is our favourite sushi spot. They have a big menu and never a long wait time. I like that they are always friendly whenever we go. It’s a small spot but very decorative and cozy. Delivery available.
MoreASA Sushi is always fresh and tasty. I highly recommend them! We are never disappointed.
MoreWas our first time there, friendly and efficient. The food was fresh. Unfortunately the toilet in the mens washroom didnt flush and the Salmon tasted a little off. But other than that we enjoyed what we did eat
MoreThe service was attentionate. Ce fut un travail déquipe pour un excellent service. Fue un regalo comer aquí. One of the very few that responded to a review, within a day. This acknowledgement brings a smile to a traveling customer who wants to go back as this is a very attentionate service.
MoreTasty food, Friendly staff. Just need a little bit better of a waitress, we ate in the restaurant, tables were very wobbly, waitress said there was a promo on for every $20 you spend you get free pop. Said no thank, we dont drink pop. She asked what kind we wanted, said no thank you. Will just have water with lemon. She brought out our waters with literally half the cup of just lemons. Had to scoop out 2 or 3 piece as it was extremely sour and didnt want to complain. Then 10 mins later she came back and ask if what flavor pops we would like because we spend $75. Again said we dont drink pop. We were the only ones in there and no skip the dishes came in. We waited almost 15-20 mins before we even got our miso soup. But when we finally got everything, it was tasty.
MoreBest sushi in town, especially the crazy girl / boy combo. Always good services with a smile and delicious sushis. Would recommend a visit!
MoreIve been enjoying sushi for years from many Canadian cities. (I think 93 was my first time in one of Montreal s famous China Town hot-spotsThis is the best sushi in Moncton. Have tried quite a few places around town...
MoreThe place is really clean. The house tea is self service and it is one of the things that i look in japanese restaurants. Their food is really smells good and tasty. The asa soup base for the sea food udon is a must try.
MoreReally good sushi! Service was quick and friendly.
Crazy girl roll was great! The ramen soup was bland ( asa special and the noodles were like the ones you get from an instant noodle pack. Padthai is also good, 2 people can share (petite).
MoreFirst time there! Such amazing food! Highly recommend the Spicey Mexican Roll.
Amazing! We were driving through Moncton and stopped here to eat after seeing their sign. It was a great price and all of the staff were so friendly. Thank you so much for the amazing meal. And the special deep-fried cream-cheese things were so amazing, despite how that may sound.
MoreMy friend received her plate and found out that there was something inside her plate that she was allergic before eating it. She told the waitress about her allergies, and told her she was sorry to have not mentionned it before. The waitress took her plate back and brought her a new plate without the food she was allergic. They were very nice about the situation and handle it like pros !! Thats some very good customer service, Thank you !! We also loved the food at this restaurant and the fair prices !!
MoreGood sushi. Seems to depend on the kitchen staff though what quality you get.Update to review as of 12/18 - the restaurant has changed hands and owners and the menu has been changed over as well. The above still stands true about the quality being dependant on who is working, however it seems overall that there has been a drop in food quality and freshness. For that I have edited my review above as I no longer feel it deserves the rating it had originally.
MoreVery friendly service and very tasty food if sushi what you want in this is Sushi what you get, yum YumHad four different roles and all them were delicious, miso soup very delicious, was super affordableIf you like this review give me thumbs up
MoreVery quick service. Cheap. Thats all from a good side I had there. In general food was not bad, but not excellent, not delicious. Soy souce was very salty. Didnt see any ginger on the dishes. Water had very bad taste and was served in plastic glasses. Very poor interior, like somewhere deep in a country. Therere a lot of places to eat sushi in Moncton and I have something to compare with, where water is served with a piece of lemon, where you can have complementary dessert and during your 30 minutes visit waiters ask you five times if everything was ok and did you like the food. So I wouldnt recommend visiting this place. Really dont understand people writing 5 starts reviews.
MoreI have lived across Canada, from small towns to large cities such as Calgary, and this was the best Japanese cuisine I have had yet. The set up was better and higher class than most, the food was great, with much more variety than most, and the service was good. Who would have thought that Moncton would have such good Japanese cuisine, especially over the major cities. I have had comparable places, such as Oshos in Lethbridge AB, but this one was just the little extra that set it at the top for me. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting good Japanese cuisine, not just sushi.
MoreQuick service and the sushi is less expensive than other sushi places in Moncton. Great for a quick lunch or takeout order. Overall good value if youre looking for a more casual sushi meal.
MoreBeen here quite a few times always been really good. But its gotten bad ordered the moncton roll.... Lets just say it wasnt even close to what was on the menu (ill include a pic). Girlfreind ordered soup, got it 20minutes later it still wasnt cool enough to eat.. Seriously scolding hot! Just went down hill
MoreI had the 5pc Gyoza and the Chicken Yaki Soba. The Gyoza was so tasty and nice and freshly cooked. The Yaki Soba was also tasty but didn’t really have nearly enough chicken. I was definitely filled after eating though. Happily recommended!
MoreSushis are fresh at a good price, not a 5 star restaurant or service but we go often :)
MoreBest and most affordable sushi in town. You really cant go wrong with these unbeatable prices. Theres always something for everyone, whether you dont eat fish, absolutely love fish, even if youre a vegetarian. Their rice is perfectly marinated and their premium imitation crab imported from Toronto is truly delicious. Im a pescatarian and I can always find something to eat that I absolutely love. Every meal is served with an incredible miso soup and a flavorful salad without any additional charge. The service is outstanding and preparation never takes more then 15 minutes. The space is very authentic and it is never crowded. Whether you dine in or take out, the experience is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great, healthy and delicious food for the price of a McDonalds meal! For any first-timers, I would recommend a simple California Roll with tobiko (roeon top (5$or a savory Crunch Roll ($7). For any experienced sushi-eaters, I would recommend the OCanada Roll, the Moncton Roll or the Spicy Mexican Roll. If youre in the Moncton area, you should definitely give ASA Sushi a try, you wont regret it!
MoreBeen here twice now, the food is great. The music was a stuck on one song for like a half hour though, and then some of the selection was odd for a sushi place. Dont miss the complementary self serve green tea when you walk in.
MoreThe food is great. The service is great. Everything is great! No matter if youre used to store bought or restaurant sushi, ASA Sushi will satisfy your sushi needs to an extraordinary degree! (Also, jalapeno bombs are delicious.)
MoreOh Canada roll, spicy tuna roll, Boston roll Crunch roll. Very tasty! Gyoza was very good as well.
MoreNot bad at all. Chaotic service on the night I was there, selection is ok, but fresh. When it comes to sushi, not much else matters. Scallops were a bit weird, Ive never had them whole, always sliced thinly, but fresh and tasty. Only one waiter on, but still a good pace. Very neighbourhood atmosphere. Ill go again next time Im in Moncton.
MoreTheir prices seem good, and they have lots of selection. I went here for a late lunch takeout and found it a bit chaotic. The asparagus in my asparagus maki was undercooked, and left me a little disappointed. The restaurant itself seemed clean and the staff seemed friendly.
MoreOrdered delivery on a Friday night at 5:30 pm. We ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Teriyaki Beef Bowl, Tempura Appetizer, Spicy Tuna Roll, Crunch Roll and Spicy Mountain Roll. The delivery took about an hour (I live 3-minutes awaywhich was a lot longer than expected. It all worked out in the end though because the food was delicious and hot. I love their sushi, its always very fresh and tasty and the presentation is superb. Their rolls have a lot of meat in them, not just a sliver of fish with a lot of rice like some other places. Pleasantly surprised to see two tempura shrimp in with the beef teriyaki. Prices are great too!
MoreBEST sushi in Moncton. The staff are absolutely amazing. So friendly. The prices are very good especially for the amazing quality you get.The food is always delicious and if something isnt right theyll fix it right away. I love asa so much! Recommend it 100%.
MoreI love ASA sushi. Its my go-to place for sushi, its a very cultural atmosphere, whether you dine in or take out. You can watch the chef prepare the sushi in front of you and you see that the ingredients are all fresh. I love the feel of this restaurant and the sushi is even better. Definitely my favourite sushi restaurant in town. A+
