went there last july. manager is very disrespectful. water was out for three days and they were super raw about it, triple rooms are not comfortable (a long chair for the third bedand when requesting a third bed they refused and said there is not other option.. never go there !

By all means, please stay away from this hotel. We reserved two nights, the first one we arrrived at 2 am and they told us that our room had been booked, we had to book a different one, we were told our room for the next day would be available. Well, we arrived the next day and to our surprise, they told us our room had been again overbooked. The staff was to my impression extremely unorganized and could not offer any real solutions. Please, if you want your holiday to be stressful, frustrating and full of waiting in front of the lobby desk go to this hotel

Booked hotel for 3 nights. Starting from receptionist with absolute no professional experience.

We want to cancell our reservation, their website doesnt work anymore so I cant make it on my own. I sent them like 7 mail to cancell, they answer me once "make it yourself on the website" and now never answer me anymore. They have my credit card number so Im just waiting to be rip off until the date of my travel. A real shame

Do not waste your time. Please think a lot before you book here. The reception is not staffed, and if there are employees, they do not want to help and are not cooperative, they are only looking for your money

The worries hotel I have seen ever, the room not prepared good and the furniture is dilapidated, there is no free parking lot and the staff here not helpful at all and the manger mistreated the customers

Its the worst hotel ever, they lied to put open water in the fridge to make us pay and the staff is really bad, room service opens the door and people are asleep.

I booked for one week for me and my family 6 weeks at least in advance to find out the my room not as describe, I booked for one king bed and one small for my child to find out only one bed, no blanket,no cover I have been told by the manager its hot you dont need the any cover that really shame. Only one small face towel dirty, then they bring for me to dirty cover I wish if I can upload the pictures to show everyone the quality of the service. Dont ever book at this hotel quality and service very bad. Please see all other reviews. I am going to send my complain to the head office manager refused to face me ,the lady on the counter wrote it to me the email to send my complain.the most disgusting and unprofessional service ever.

Avoid this place . Very rude and aggressive staff . They overbooked my room and instead of saying sorry and help . They throw my passport on the check in desk and told me to go out and find another place . Read all the review and avoid these rude incompetent people

If I could give a huge 0 I would. My husband just found his luggages and stuff and the door of his room in the hotel after extending his reservation today this morning and making the payment. The person working could not give me a valid reason and said they needed the room. All about money and no respect towards a client traveling from another country and trying to spend the holiday in Tirana. We were so worried that the passport and personal stuff may have got lost as we had left in the room not to carry those around. If you care for yourself DO NOT book this hotel as you may find your stuff also at the door. A hotel which cares about the clients and not MONEY would call and ask politely to take the stuff from the room if they so badly needed it by apologizing for the inconvenience. I still do not know how this hotel claims to be a 4 star hotel and also has be rated a 3 star. Save yourself some trouble and book a decent hotel.

No one takes responsibility.Had to wait for three hours before we got our room. And still they didn’t manage to get xtra bed in the room in time. Last bed was ready after midnight.Avoid this hotel

Bad location, rooms average (there was a constant smell at the bathroom). Horrible customer service with poor communication.. dont stay there doesnt worth the penny

Ok hotel. They do not want to take credit card, and charged us a lot of extra fees to do so. Issues with rooms included AC and lights not working, very bad smells (sewer gasno TV remote, and room safes not operable. No security whatsoever was a concern. Clean rooms though.....

We booked 1mounth before, and when we arrived 02:00 in the morning,they said they were full. Some rich guy had booked the hotell for him self,and all avriving guests needed to find another place for the night. No email,no sms or nothing.Incredible bad and rude service also. Not recomended. Just read the other rewievs. I regret not Reading them.Senator hotel, and tirana international were amazing

Comfy beds, great breakfast, and good WiFi - thats exactly what you need after a long and exhausting trip. There are some drawbacks, however: the room we stayed in had broken lightning in the bathroom with cheap eye-burning cold lightbulbs and local spa-zone cant be called relaxing, as well as it cannot be called safe.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!Pure rip off! at the beginning upon arrival we were told by the blonde lady that before checking in we still have to pay "taxes for the hotel" of around 60€ for 5 days which i didnt understand as we already had everything at the opodo agency paid and it wasnt mentioned anywhere in the text. When asked, it was just called because it is! you will be cheated here from a to z, watch out! the hotel room was also dirty and unhygienic! a horrible holiday! rather spend a little more money and go to a reasonable hotel

BE AWARE - DONT book - it’s not 4 star it’s barely 1 star.I booked this hotel for 2 nights. The pictures looked great their website looks professional and it came with a 6 am checkin which was great as I was landing in Tirana early morning.I made my way to the hotel only to be told that check in was at 2 pm and I was shown a sign on the desk as “proof”. I was told that hotel check in are normally late worldwide so I should have known it was going to be the same here irrelevant of the emailed confirmation stating of a 6 am check in.Normally a hotel and a 4 star at that has impeccable customer service. Don’t expect it from this hotel, they didn’t attempt to rectify their mistake. Then I was told for an extra 20 euro I can check in early at sister hotel accros the street. I was told VH has 5 hotels around the city. I was surprised at a solution being available to rectify their error and yet asking me to pay extra for it. I was so tired at this stage I’ve been up for nearly 25 hour straight so fine an extra 20 euro for much needed sleep.Suddenly there were no rooms left at this hotel or the other 4 even though I was offered a room a few mins prior. I was suggested to go to another hotel or wait 8 hours till check in and suggested to speak to the manager at check in.I returned to check in later in the day and explained the issue to the manager. All I got was a practiced apology and the impression there is nothing to do. But she did confirm there were rooms available when I first arrived. A junior suite and a family suite but I wasn’t given them as an option and was told it’s all booked out instead.I was charged for parking 6 euros a day and I was charged extra than what was on the confirmation due to “taxes”.Now the room, the superior single room. The curtain were ripped and falling off the rails. The room has no amenities except of mini bar and a safe. No hair dryer no iron. Tv doesn’t work. I asked for a hair dryer and an iron and was told it will be delivered tomorrow as housekeeping left for the day. Knowing I have an early start I asked them to deliver it early and leave it outside the door. 10 am came so I sent them a reminder on WhatsApp. They’ve read the message but 30 more mins later no reply and no air-dryer nor iron. So I called them and they didn’t pick up. There is 0 professionalism 0 customer service. It’s really so bizarre!The bathroom was not cleaned well, the shower has brown mold/ dirt along the tiles and a lot of it. When I called reception they sent in housekeeping who said it’s clean. So I wiped one side of the shower with toilet paper to show her it’s not. She scrubbed that side only and left the rest the same. See pics.The room is noisy too, you can hear people in the court downstairs even though I was on the 5th level. I could hear the next-door guest coughing and people talking and laughing down the hall.They have a system where you can press a button if you want housekeeping to come in. I wasn’t comfortable with housekeeping coming in with my luggage jewellery etc around the room so I opted out. When I came back later at night I noticed that they came in anyway to clean up even though I opted out!Anyway, I don’t normally write reviews unless it’s an extreme scenario which this is for me. I was duped by their website and number of stars. I should have read the google reviews that a lot of them are also 1 star. I don’t think the hotel cares for these reviews much nor actions them but I hope it helps the next person before they make their bookings.

This hotel is terrible!The photos are FAKE - so please beware!Upon arriving we realised we had made a huge mistake booking here - The staff tried to charge us £100 more than on booking.com - stating that is was for charges/tax - this is a complete lie!! they simply wanted cash payments!The rooms were dirty with marks on the walls and bedding and we were shown to the room by a staff member who just checked her social media the whole time and ignored us.The staff offered an upgrade immediately to us walking into the hotel - clearly knowing we wouldnt be seeing what we had seen on the booking website.The staff were then extremely rude when we suggested the pictures were fake on the site (this is 100% true by the way.... the amenities shown on the site ARE NOT present on the hotel site! These is no gym for a start!)We could not stay here - it was simply awful!We transferred to the hotel across the road for 1 night and asked to speak to the manager. A meeting was arranged for the following day - to which the manager left us waiting 30 minutes and did not appear.There are 2 VH hotels in Tirana and one in Durres - all are falsely advertised and far far worse than many of the fabulous hotels in this region!We were in Tirana for our wedding - and as a result of this awful experience had to spend the first day of our break organising another hotel and driving around the city!Please do not stay here- save yourself the drama we went through! I only wish I had taken photos so you can all see for yourselves how awful it actually is- but the worse thing was by far how we were treated by the staff! This is NOT a reflection of the Albanian tourist trade however - and the rest of our stay was simply amazing, with excellent hosts and amazing customer service at a different hotel.

Nothing worked. The printer downstairs, the safe in my room, the hand shower, the credit card terminal... The mini bar prices are EXTREMELY expensive and not informed. Snickers bars 4.5 €, bottled water 4.5 € and so on. They advertised free parking but charged me 6€ for it. The exchange rate is 1 EUR to 115 lek but anywhere on the street you get 121.Their goal is not for you to return, but for you to spend so much more than you expected. Terrible hotel.

I had to wait 2.5 hrs to check in because the property where I’d booked the room was full so they shifted me to another one where upon arriving I was given a room that looked nothing like the one I’d booked. When I called them and asked if they could do something as a way to compensate for shifting me, the guy replied “If you have so much problem you can change your hotel”. It’s absolutely atrocious and a disgusting change in attitude. After having been travelling for over 12 hrs, I was welcomed by extremely rude behaviour. I would recommend to spend a bit more and stay somewhere better where the receptionist has some decent manners.Also, he was was so irresponsible that he gave my passport to someone else while printing it. That person was kind enough to return it quickly.

Awful! I had booked the room from booking and it said there that the check in is from 00:00-00:00, we arrived at 12:00 PM, they said that the check ins are from 14:00 (which they did not mention nowhere!they charged us 6€ extra for the parking, but when I asked them they said its free parking.And also there is no warm water, which is a no go!! Never will I book this hotel again.

Superb service we went in but there was a american man on the counter abusing the very kind receptionist for aaying hello to a coustomer and then us even thogh she was dealing with him. We stayed in other 2 of VH hotels excellent service and very helpfull staff. Even gave us some money exchange on the first night because everything was shut. We arrived at midnight and we was very hungry with no albania currency and not everywhere take card. Will definitely book again. Highly recommend and also the pictures are not fake as seen in other reviews.

We stayed at this best hotel with the best staff and evrything they were so nice with us and gave us all the things we need . You should really come and spent a night here!!

The toilet was dirty, personal was not very friendly.On TV are only 4 or 5 programs, if I want more, I had to pay extra.There are better Hotels for this price.

I dont know how they can give 4 stars a hotel that does not complete the basic request, the service. And I do not want to talk about the prices which are to exagerated or I do not know , maybe it was just a way from the stuff to take their tips.I woule give no stars at all at this review but that is not possible so..I do not recommend the stay in this hotel. Find another place which has much better service and much better prices, which are worth it.

Very bad services. The price was not the same as I booked it. Firstly, when I booked it from booking the price was 21€ for a deluxe room without taxes and when I went at the recepesionist to pay they told me that the price was 35€, including 6€ for taxes and 6€ for the parking. Another thing that I didn’t like and I think it is not normal was the price of a pack chips that was 4,5€ when normally when you go and buy it in a store it is 50 cents. I was so dissapointed and I will never go to that hotel again. It was the worst experience ever! I wouldn’t reccomandet to anyone.

Very bad service. Mini bar prices were absurd much higher than purchased! We booked it with an offer of 21 € and in the end went 27€ from some taxes that we were not aware of !!

Unfortunately very low quality everywhere. Definitely not a 4 star as commonly expected. The pictures look nice, but in reality it is not like this. Rooms are worn down, shower is broken and hardly works. Internet is really slow and unreliable and the breakfast makes you feel sick.Not worth the money. Look for another place to stay.

This place scam people and no one should order a room from them...The manager is some rich famous guy that scamming people by charging extra for the room you already booked...!!!DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE!

False advertisement, do not book this hotel as they will charge you"extra taxes" after youve paid in advance. Also, the parking is not included and dont bother to pay for breakfast cause after youve paid, theyll tell you that was included anyway. The usage of the gym and the pool are not included either, terrible staff.

Really bad service: freezing room which had to be fixed, loud conference/meeting room next door, no show for the agreed airport shuttle service + extra costs, etc. To be avoided at all costs, many more better places for those prices around Tirana! We had to change hotel after second night :(

The hotel facilities were good - no complaints on that.However, they wanted to charge us 16 EUR a night to park a motorbike, 5 EUR per KM for a taxi and used an exchange rate of 135 instead of the actual 121/1EUR.A bit unethical

Bad experience in general.During the check-in they tried to charge me extra than the total price I received from them on the confirmation mail.The room was OK, but the bathroom seems very poorly clean, sink and shower may not had been cleaned at all.Also the bathroom door for my room was in very bad condition.At least staff was nice and helpful.Definitely not recommended for a 4 star hotel.

Very unprofessional hotel, took the money for the whole stay from my card even after I cancelled my booking days before the free cancellation date. Talked with the manger promised me a refund after a week. The week has passed and yet I didn’t receive the money. Think ALOT before trusting the hotel with your money.

Unprofessional management, even impolite, he insulted us and asked us to leave, simply the hotel was overbooked and they didn’t honour our confirmed booking.They even offered to arrange another hotel but was very poor, until we called the police and only the police solved the issue.Another staff member apologised on behalf of the other manager as the other guy was not man enough to apologise for us.

AVOID! Booked a room for 2 nights and got a confimation by e-mail from Hotels.com. When we arrived we were informed that our rooms have been cancelled! That means we stood with 2 heavy suitcases at 1.30 am in the morning and could not get a taxa due to the Corona curfew! We spend 150 Euros on dataroaming to find a new hotel.Furthermore the hotel actually charged us for the 2 nights! My bank has now filed a claim at them!

Everything looks nice at a distance, but if you look closer its all Chinese budget stuff. E.g. the door handle feel of from the door, the stairs to the restaurant are woobly as hell, the marble reception is just printed plywood and the reception smelled sewage when we arrived. Really cheap though and good location

We booked our room two monts prior and even got an upgrade to superior room.We got there at 10 p.m. only to be told that they don’t have any more rooms left. They asked us if we would take an apartment, and at that time at night we agreed becouse they disn’t give us any other option. They took us to an apartment in the next building and I’m still shocked to stay there for the night. The smell was awfull and the shower had mold. Next day we came to the reception and wanted to talk to the manager to give us a room in the hotel. He showed up 2 hours later and almost yeld at us like it’s normal that we slept at that apartment and we can have a room today, not apologizing for the overbooking. His behaviour to his employees was degrading and his behaviour to us was disgusting. I don’t recomend coming here until he gets fired

Cheating!We booked a hotel before travel 5 days, No taxi from hotel even we took a note on Expedia to pick up and number phone is fake. When arrived to the hotel Managers said no room and move us to live in apartment near hotel. We wait all night until 11 am. No one can give the room to us. The reception keep a passport and if we need a passport must be pay 30000. Manager disappears, so my friend walks to a police station

The walls of the room as in the attached photos, streaks, falling paint -room no 12084. They inform about the option all incusiwe - there is no, and these are dishes from the menu.5. Even the name of this hotel is different: Tirana Hotel6. They make it impossible to pay with a Euro card, only inAlbanian currency (ALLat a very unfavorable rate.7. Paid parking, no information available when booking.8. Impudent service.9. Poor breakfast, not buffet.

Amenities are listed incorrectly on Expedia.com and maybe other websites. There is no pool at this hotel. The AC broke when it was so hot at night. I was moved to their other hotel across the street which also had AC problems. Water was pouring from that AC unit or the floor above, not sure which. I had to put towels down. It was pooling in the room.. Price is good compared to other higher cost options in Tirana but you get what you pay for. I dont consider this a 4 star hotel. 3 stars is generous.

Very bad experience with this hotel. The manager was very rude and arogant. The price on booking is not the same as on the property. Instead of paying 55 euro we ended up paying 125euro for 2nights for standard room. All because they change their policies every day. Payed extra taxes and parking. By the way parking place was like twilight zone. Never gonna come here again.

Very clean place, professional and kindly staff, best view from the highest floor (12th), secured parking.Only one elevator and often its stopped on wrong directions, additional 10€ for the gym, reproducibility breakfast everyday.I can recommend this place for a few nights, but consider fact about the same breakfasts every day.

Friendly and smiling staff. Very clean. Only one elevator so sometimes you have to wait 8-10 minutes to get to your room (elevator stops even if you go the other direction). You need to pay additional 5euro for parking, which is fine as it was supervised. But additional 10euro for a gym per entrance is not ok in my opinion. Ok breakfast but same everyday (3,5euro per person). High minibar prices. Good view from the 12th floor open for every guest. Just ok.

Hello hello,So we did booked 5 nights at this hotel and we stayed only one, if we werent so tired from our road trip we wouldnt have stayed even for 5So we did booked a double room, as a genius 2 member from booking our room was updated to superior etc. We did booked a room with balcony and hydromassage, well at least this is what it was described. When we arrived and went to our room what we found was a big room with two single beds that were next to each other as a one piece bed, during the night the beds we keep splitting and it was extremely annoying.The room was so "cold" so only the beds and the bedside table one TV, with just few Albanian channels, and thats it. In the bathroom it was a shower and a mirror. There was nothing special in the room and by that I mean at least a picture to make the rooms atmosphere warm and beautiful. The lighting in the bathroom was extremely dark/low and bad, so personally I did found it extremely difficult to do my make up in there, there was no mirror inside the room.For two persons we had only three towels 🙄 so probably in this hotel you have to use the same towel, for face, head , shower with you partner.Our room supposed to have a balcony, there was no balcony, when I went down to the reception the staff (tall guy, black hear, glasses, was extremely rude and ironicI havent met such a rude staff in my life, when I explained to him that I paid for a room with balcony and there was no balcony he said as you can see we do not have any balcony in our building, like this was my problem. He said you can open a window and take fresh air, and smoke there, when I said this is no a solution he started being even more rude and saying that theres not any information about our hotel that we have balcony and I do not understand what it says in your phone, he started ignoring me and talking to other costumers and keep saying that it is what it is it cant change. When I asked for the manager, he said that the manager wasnt there, when the manager was standing right next to him and when he saw that I wasnt leaving the reception he decided to talk.Long story short, I asked for my money back and to leave the room the next day and they agreed that will give me the money back next morning. I did payed during my check in a full amount for 5 nights + parking, yes they will charge for the parking + room tax.Well I was standing next morning in the reception for 3 hours to get my money back. At the end when the manager decided to show up,he didnt want to give me the money that I paid so he started threatening me that if I dont leave with the money he offered me he wasnt give me any money at all and that I will be penalised.This is the worst experience I had so far with a hotel, I still cannot believe that in a 4⭐ hotel they do treat costumes in that way, and that in this country they believe that the managers, or staff they have every right to do anything and the client hasnt any right at all. So you pay the money and they treat you like a garbage...It a huge NO and Im ashamed for people like this, and I am an Albanian , so, no I not a racist, Ive stayed in many places in Albania with wonderful personal but this was my worse experience so far..Oh and just for your information, everything is chargeable in the hotel, everything in euro.

Small gestures add up to an amazing hotel stay!Stayed in a single room (which had a king sided bed tough!), space for clothing, clean bathroom and a huge window that made the room so bright in the morning hours.Location very convenient (you can walk to the main spots of the capital in minutes)!Restaurant had tasty food (would suggest more seafood variety).Most important, staff was very friendly and made you feel like home. After two nights stay, they already knew my preferences in drinks and i was even called by my first name 😊.Booking process very flexible: Got a late flight, therefore a late check-in. They sent a cab to transfer me to the hotel, and once it came to extend my stay that was done with no problem at all. Furthermore, i was notified in advance for any additional charges for services i needed.Absolutely recommended, and definitely would stay again!

Be careful, low quality four star hotelFirst of all be aware you will have to pay a 2.5 euros city tax per person per night.I had to have my room changed after getting severely bitten by some insects during the night, hopefully the second room was fine for the remaining 2 nights.The waiter has no clue about what is included in the breakfast, even if I had a breakfast formula, I had to pay extra money for Americano coffee as they considered it was not part of the formula but they never warned me about that.All in all it was a very bad experience

I wish I can give 0 star. 1. You do not get what you booked for: We booked a triple room with city view but got a double room which has a view of other buildings. The reception told us that we are two people so we can only get double room regardless of what we book. 2. Insects issue: My partner got many insect bites during the middle of the night and we both waked up to kill at least 10 insects. The next day reception finally agreed to change the room and we got a room smaller but has city view! 3. Bad bathroom: Both of the rooms we tried had sewer smell from the bathroom. If we do not close the toilet door then the whole room smells bad. Moreover, both room had drainage issue so during the shower it was really disgusting when the water was stuck. 4.Horrible restaurant: Our booking includes breakfast buffet but it turned out the buffet is only biscuits and juice. After inquiry multiple times the waiter finally agreed that omelet was included in the breakfast buffet if we order. However, we still had a surprise that we were asked to pay when checking out for the two coffee we ordered during breakfast. It turned out that only filtered coffee was included in breakfast and my partner ordered americano. If we knew earlier we could have ordered whatever was included in the breakfast. The restaurant staff really does not want to work. Not only did he not explained about which coffee are not included in breakfast but we also had to wait for 15 minutes until he finished chatting to bring us the plates which was ready to be served. We paid the coffee eventually to avoid further arguments. 5. City tax: we stayed three hotels in Albania during this trip but this is the only hotel required city tax. We searched on internet and it seems that the city tax is one euro per person or 2.5 per room per night. However the hotel charged 2.5 per person per night so we paid 5 euro more that what we were supposed to.
