AHA Saloon in Taipei

Terrible service. Not allowed to be seated by yourself if joined by people later. Have to sit outside in the street even though they have seats available. Asians receive preferential treatment. When eventually allowed to enter, they barked that there’s a minimum charge of $400 and a 1- hour time limit. Drinks were overpriced and mediocre to boot.

When I first arrived at the bar and saw the menus I thought it might be a bit uppity and the cocktails a bit too complex for no reason at all. But luckily I was wrong!! The venue itself is quite nice, the server was very attentive and descriptive regarding every cocktail, and the cocktails were very good (and strong). This place is definitely worth a try!

Old school vibe, drink is average though

The worst service for a 5 star rating. We booked then had to wait outside for the “tables” to be “ ready”. The drinks are overly sweet and “supposedly” they re did the drinks but it tasted the same. 😒 they wanted to replace the drinks, but then another server came over to tell us they will charge the new drink… What can i say…. We will never come back. -100/5

Awesome bar in Taipei

Enjoy their signature and classic cocktails every time. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, good taste of music, a place to relax and be yourself.

Interesting cocktails! Great ambience. The bartenders were pretty patient in explaining the flavors and ingredients of the cocktails.

This one is one of the most famous bars for their award winning bartenders. The atmosphere is really good and I really recommend their signature cocktails. A bit pricey and sometimes it takes a while to get a table if they don’t take reservations. Excellent place for pre game if you’re looking for a nice bar to warm up.

Good bar and great service too. Their drinks are good, though on the more flowery side / flavor profile more complex.

Nice and cozy atmosphere, I really like their interior design. The menu selections is limited and seasonal. The cocktails I had were decent, but I couldn’t finish the second one... They don’t take reservations, only walk-in. The price of cocktails is higher than most bars in Taipei ~NTD$450-500 per item, and there is minimum order required $800 per person on weekends.

No surprise, NTD1,000 with 2 glasses of cocktail again. Environment is awesome, very cozy place, flavor didnt impress me however.

It is really not clear why the price of alcohol is so expensive. They dont offer music or other service. And if you go with friends you are forced to buy one of those expensive drinks. The cheapest is the not alcoholic drink for 400. No value.Dont go 😱

This is actually my favorite bar in Taipei. Not a good place to get your typical cocktails, this Bar offer some of the most unique cocktails you can ever experience, and at a very fair price for Taipei. I would rank this easily among the top 10 bars in Taipei.

I thought this was one of the most unique cocktail bars that I’ve experienced.The menu is filled with interesting ingredients from vetivier to mustard Cointreau to tobacco kombucha. Nothing tastes like what you would expect and every single one of the 8 drinks my friend and I tried were phenomenal.The staff was friendly and helpful when selecting a cocktail — easily explaining drinks on the menu in comparison to classic cocktails. We really enjoyed sitting at the bar and chatting. The drinks here were also very quick to prepare — many of them have complicated recipes and AHA Saloon has done a great job pre-prepping the mixes, tinctures, and syrups and get them out in record time.The bar itself is easy to find and located on a fairly large street. There is a small couch and some tables throughout the darkened space, and it looks like it would be good for small groups. It would be hard to say which was my favorite drink since there was so many unexpected surprises but if I had to choose I would highly recommend the vetivier drink — a grassy ingredient that is often in perfumes.Kudos to AHA Saloon, I will be back!

Great cocktails, bit pricey but, totally worth it when you get a taste of them.Friendly waiters , no formal and pretentious dress code though I wont say that you should wear sweatpants here, overall, great experience and bring your credit cardsssss

I should have read all the negative reviews about the rude and unacceptable service for this Asia 50 ranking bar. This bar totally doesnt represent the Taiwanese culture which is tentative and friendly. Zero points score on this! The waiter pushed so hard on ordering drinks while I was trying to take picture of the venue and rudely explain about their drink menu. is he really rude...no... A couple of well recognizied PR guests came into the door, he clearly put on his big smile. What does that tell you. If there is a zero Star can be rank, thats what this bar should deserve. Why? To remind you again this bar ranked 23 of Asia 50. Isnt that suppose to provide top notch service?However to be honest, the drinks are also very average, exactly "straight foward" as it described. Again, my fault about fantasize about ranking.PS. Im well global traveler. Been tons of bar in the world.

Drinks are good. But the waiters arent very friendly. They need to learn how to smile and talk to customers without coming off as being super pretentious.

Nice bartender, good.service. fun ambiance. delicious drinks. Can understand why its on the list the list for top 50 bars in Asia. A must visit if you are in Taipei. Jazz selection also on point. Not to be missed!

The best cocktails I’ve tried in Taipei. Creative flavors with delicate smelling. The only drawback is that there isn’t any food served but nuts. Highly recommend anyway.

Good cocktails and good music! But also a nice lounge to sit and possible to talk (not too loud music or echo).

Oversweetened drink without alcohol flavour and the service is disrepectful.

This place has a decent vibe and venue, with well-rounded selection of specialty drinks that adequately justifies its reputation. We came as a group, and everyone seemed to enjoyed their drinks. I, however, ordered a drink that contains kombucha as a key ingredient, which I was not familiar at the time. That drink made me feel pretty sick (dizziness and nauseabefore I could even finish it, and eventually I had to go to the bathroom and throw up. At first I thought it was my own problem, which was rare since I drink quite frequently, its not till later till I looked into kombucha and discovered its fermentation process, using combination of yeast and bacteria. Apparently, there are a lot of potential risks and side effects with using kombucha, especially if its contaminated. I just wish they had warned me about what I could be getting into. Unless you know better, Id recommend you getting something else if you end up going there.

Cozy atmosphere, great cocktail and service. Its a little crowded on 1st floor but 2nd is better. One of the best bar in Taipei.

One of the few places Where I can enjoy above average decent cocktails with very delicate care of crowd control. It never gets too crowded nor too loud, always pleasant to spend time here with friends over some really nicely made cocktails. Just go before 21:00 if you are a big group and looking for table seats

The bartender was friendly but the cocktail was not like super impressive. But if you do not satisfy with your drink, you can tell bartender to adjust for you.

Nice little bar in Taipei Highly Recommend. Great service and drinks are really good.

Ordered a drink and it was sweet to the point of it being undrinkable. Let them know and they made it better, but ultimately I still wasn’t a fan. The two other drinks ordered at my table weren’t great either - we all left somewhat disappointed. The service was good and the decor is really cool, but I won’t be coming back for the drinks.

Love their exquisite signature cocktails. The ones I had are all complex yet perfectly balanced. We had a delightful time at AHA Saloon.
