We ordered the complanta (seafood stewwhich had a tasty broth, but overcooked seafood especially the lobster bits! It was not worth the cost.

Waiters were really unwelcoming. They told us to wait half an hour to get a table and then told us the kitchen was close. our family could not eat lunch that day because of them

Expensive poor food and service. Was looking forward to some local fresh fish which was very salty for my plate and bland plate for husband. Service for the cost of the good was pretty bad. Arguing and very loud conversations between servers. Asked if we liked our food and I said "no", then server just walked away and avoided us.

We had mussels to start and shared the 2-person steak for a main course. The food was tasty albeit a bit expensive (definitely ‘tourist prices’). Nonetheless, we appreciated the friendly and fast service which enabled us to have lunch quickly enough to make our scheduled tour, and they were one of few good restaurants who had walk-in tables available on a busy day (possibly due to their higher prices). Overall a good place for lunch in Aveiro!

Food and service excellent, had to wait a bit for a table, well worth, we had a 1.2kg robalo grilled for 2 people!

One of the best grilled tiger shrimp Ive had in a long time served on this platter. Big fan of seafood. Highly recommend!

Lovely resturant. The location and setting makes for a very enjoyable dinner, with a nice atmosphere outside. The service and food are very good. Highly recommend the fish soup, extremely tasty. The Sea bass to share was also a good choice. Great value for money.

Very cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and like to engage with the customers. The fish stew was very fresh and had a great variety of different high quality fish. The white wine only complimented the dish. Overall a very pleasant and professional experience.

Very touristic restaurant but very good. Service is very quick and attentive. The food is very good, with good portions. Price is a bit high but I can understand it for this type of restaurant and in this area.

Mediocre. Octopus tempura had way too much batter, and rice was soupy without much flavor.

Seafood wasnt fresh - despite being next to the market. The waiter recommended us two big plates of the same flavors for 4 diners - both are stew which can easily cover any bad flavours from unfresh seafood. Just for the quality, it would have been a 3 star, but given its price, it could have provided something better.

Friendly staff. Excellent seafood. The best clams we have ever had. Great location over the canal. The only downside is that the tables are very close together.

Fresh seafood disappointingly cooked. The seafood rice is a complete miss unfortunately. I grew up here and know that they are in a truly enviable position, right next to the fish market, making me think this is an issue with the cook.

Fine fish dishes, well prepared, very tasteful. The choice of wine is also very good.

Wonderful restaurant with amazing fresh fish and seafood. The seafood rice was full of seafood. Iberia pork was delicious. And the desserts were yummy. Staff was very friendly and helpful especially Paul.

I ate here with my friend, and the food and service was absolutely amazing! Our server, Paul, was an absolute delight and gave us amazing recommendations. The Cataplana de Polvo, like an octopus stew, was delicious and my favorite dish I had during my entire trip in Portugal.Obriagado Paul, e obrigado Cais do Pescado!

The food was rather disappointing to say the least...Mediocre experience overall, the service was decent, but I really expected better with regard to the seafood offering... The prawn starters we had were actually disgusting, it was still frozen and served to us...It was a very disappointing birthday experience, even though I had specifically made a reservation at this place, based on the previous reviews I had read...

Well cooked seafood, a good wine list, and a convenient location. What’s up with the bright lighting upstairs? A definite turnoff.

Fast efficient service and super seafood. The seafood cataplana is superb, and its a huge portion for two as well. Good wine recommendations, and not the most expensive bottles on the list either. Only small complaint is that the room upstairs is very brightly lit - we would have preferred it a bit more subdued.

Not a bad place. The menu has mistakes and dishes aren’t explained well. Service is extremely slow and the restaurant is a bit disorganised. But the food is good.

We are a 6 persons family in a 2 weeks tour in Portugal. Twice a day we like to eat in a different restaurant, based on good reviews.We have waited more than 80 minutes for the main course. In a restaurant with $$$ prices.Beside this, in a fish restaurant, only the steaks have been really good.Yes, fish is fresh but thats all.Ordinary cooked. The other night we"ve eated the same seabass in a normal restaurant, a lot better. They definitely should change the cook.The old lady at the main entrance very scorbutic.The waiters in the floor tried to do their best.

The sea bass was divine! We wanted to lick our plates clean. They were very busy so be patient, it was worth it! Very nice staff as well.

Fantastic! This was our last night in Portugal and it turned out to be possibly the best meal of all. I had been looking specifically for a really good seafood cataplana and boy did we hit the jackpot here. After starting off with rather delicate cod tongues, the cataplana was a feast for all things seafood. It was all prepared perfectly, genorous portion, nice fries on the side, perfect! And to finish it all off, we shared a traditional eggyolk-based desert. With the great service and help of our very friendly and professional waitress, this was a great ending to our culinary adventures through Portugal. Recommend!!

Unfortunately, quality didnt met expectations for a top fish dish; was it the choice? Well, I dont think so as some details were clearly missing. Quite expensive (far better options on that range in the surroundings). Staff was friendly though!

Excellent food and service. Unfortunately, we were not very hungry at the time, or we would have had more. I chose the cod, and my partner went for the octopus tempura. Both were delicious. I would recommend this place if you enjoy fish and seafood.

Excelent value for money place. Professional service. They meet all COVID 19 measures.Good product, we tried the eels (give them a try!), cod with a side dish of rice and tempura octopus. The tempura needed a pinch of salt, we found it kind of sweet. Portions are generous, main dishes can be shared by two. The wine choice was very good.The atmosphere was lively and the place has a nice decoration.Next time well try the seafood. We are definitely coming back.

Good quality food. Loved the tempura octopus. Good stakes. Good deserts. Expect around €25 per person not including wine.

We had a lovely lunch here. Environment is really nice, relaxed. Location is perfect. Waiters were really friendly and nice.The quality/price ration is perfect.Everything what have tried was good and delicious.Place is recommended to visit :)

Excellent fish, but attention, check the bill! They charged too many coffee’s ( so what, but it is the principleand overcharged the weight of the fish. The waitress upstairs was everything but polite...I would go next time to the resto across the road.

Absolutely fantastic meal for 2. Deliciously prepared seafood with very nice presentation. Good couvert, seafood soup, mussels, octopus tempura (oh so tender and crispy!with seafood rice and a half bottle of wine $41. Our server was warmly helpful with menu choices, and efficient. For as young as 8 months, this restaurant feels like a classic.

Best squid ever - so soft and tender. Very interesting take on tempura. Really delicious tomato/broth based rice. Super friendly service.
